0:35:22 > 0:35:26Welcome to your Quick Blast of epicness. First up...

0:35:27 > 0:35:29Lynne Hutchinson and Jade Falkner.

0:35:29 > 0:35:30Hi, girls!

0:35:30 > 0:35:34They're going to teach you how to be brilliant with the rhythmic ribbon.

0:35:34 > 0:35:35It's epically beautiful.

0:35:35 > 0:35:39When you first start with the ribbon, you need to practise the basics,

0:35:39 > 0:35:40so let's start with the spirals.

0:35:40 > 0:35:42OK, Lynne, but how do we do that?

0:35:42 > 0:35:45First of all, point your finger down the stick and put your arm out

0:35:45 > 0:35:48straight in front of you, then, using only our wrist, make the circles.

0:35:48 > 0:35:50Sounds straightforward.

0:35:50 > 0:35:52Once you've mastered the spirals, you can

0:35:52 > 0:35:54try circling the ribbon around your body.

0:35:54 > 0:35:56Looks super cool! Tell us how to do it, Lynne.

0:35:56 > 0:35:58Keep the stick above your head

0:35:58 > 0:36:01and use your wrists like in the spirals, but make them a bit bigger.

0:36:01 > 0:36:04Once you've mastered those, you can move on to a throw.

0:36:04 > 0:36:06I'd say I have mastered those. Let's move on.

0:36:06 > 0:36:09Holding the end of the ribbon and the stick,

0:36:09 > 0:36:12flick the stick to catch the ribbon and swing the stick in front of you.

0:36:12 > 0:36:15As it touches the floor, pull it back and catch it.

0:36:15 > 0:36:16You have got to be kidding.

0:36:16 > 0:36:18OK, so throw the stick,

0:36:18 > 0:36:22pull stick back...and catch.

0:36:23 > 0:36:24Ta-da!

0:36:24 > 0:36:26Once you've mastered the basics, you can

0:36:26 > 0:36:29move on to more difficult things like this.

0:36:29 > 0:36:30Oh, I'm ready.

0:36:33 > 0:36:34OK, I'm not ready.

0:36:34 > 0:36:37BOTH: And that is how to be epic at the ribbon.

0:36:37 > 0:36:39Twirltastic skills. Thanks, girls!

0:36:41 > 0:36:43Hey, if you thought that the ribbon was epic,

0:36:43 > 0:36:45then wait until you see what this guy can do.

0:36:45 > 0:36:49He's not an Olympian, he's a brill-lympian. Cheers.

0:36:49 > 0:36:51Hi, I'm Max Byrne,

0:36:51 > 0:36:55and I'm going to show you how to fold a T-shirt in less than five seconds.

0:36:55 > 0:36:58But first I'm going to show you how to fold one in one second.

0:36:58 > 0:36:59Seriously, though?

0:36:59 > 0:37:02First, you're going to need a T-shirt. Boom. Stay.

0:37:02 > 0:37:05Then what you're going to do is you're going to

0:37:05 > 0:37:08imagine that there is a line cutting the T-shirt in half. That'll do.

0:37:08 > 0:37:12Now, you're going to move in five centimetres in from that line,

0:37:12 > 0:37:15and you're going to pinch it with your right hand.

0:37:15 > 0:37:17Then you're going to imagine another line heading up towards

0:37:17 > 0:37:19the neck of the T-shirt.

0:37:19 > 0:37:21You're going to pinch that with your left hand.

0:37:21 > 0:37:25You're going to bring your left hand underneath your right hand,

0:37:25 > 0:37:28grabbing the hem of the T-shirt. Now this is the tricky bit.

0:37:28 > 0:37:31You're going to unfold your arms, and at the same time, keep pinching.

0:37:31 > 0:37:32It's not that tricky.

0:37:32 > 0:37:34Whoa!

0:37:34 > 0:37:36And then you just fold it neatly.

0:37:36 > 0:37:37Epic.

0:37:37 > 0:37:39Beat that, Mum.

0:37:39 > 0:37:41Yeah, beat that, Mum. Thanks, Max!

0:37:41 > 0:37:44It's nearly over, folks, but don't get sad,

0:37:44 > 0:37:47because we've got one last dose of epicocity for you.

0:37:47 > 0:37:52Hello! I'm Stefan Gates and I'm going to show you how to make escargots!

0:37:52 > 0:37:55- That's snails to you and me.- Oh.

0:37:55 > 0:37:58For this, you will need an adult to help you with the cooking,

0:37:58 > 0:38:04and also, down here, some butter, garlic, herbs, and of course, snails.

0:38:04 > 0:38:08Some of the snails you find slithering around in your own

0:38:08 > 0:38:09garden can be edible.

0:38:09 > 0:38:12What you need to do is purge them first so their insides are nice

0:38:12 > 0:38:14and clean before you eat them.

0:38:14 > 0:38:16Clean snail. Good idea.

0:38:16 > 0:38:19The way you purge a snail is by feeding

0:38:19 > 0:38:23it on carrots for at least three days before cooking.

0:38:23 > 0:38:25Or you could just buy them from a shop.

0:38:25 > 0:38:28First thing we've got to do is to cook our snails.

0:38:28 > 0:38:31Now, the best thing to do is to put them in the fridge to make them

0:38:31 > 0:38:32go to sleep first.

0:38:32 > 0:38:37What we do is, we take our snails and we drop them into boiling water.

0:38:37 > 0:38:40They need to cook in there for about ten or 15 minutes.

0:38:40 > 0:38:43While that's on the boil, we make our garlicky butter.

0:38:43 > 0:38:44It's dead, dead simple.

0:38:44 > 0:38:46You need some soft butter, some crushed garlic

0:38:46 > 0:38:49and then some herbs chopped up really, really fine.

0:38:49 > 0:38:51Mix them all together, it'll look a bit like that.

0:38:51 > 0:38:54Smells absolutely delicious.

0:38:54 > 0:38:55DING!

0:38:55 > 0:38:56Snails are ready, Stefan!

0:38:56 > 0:38:58Let's take a look at the snails.

0:39:00 > 0:39:03Now, you need to get one of these little cocktail sticks

0:39:03 > 0:39:05and dig the snail out of the shell.

0:39:05 > 0:39:06Mmm!

0:39:06 > 0:39:08STEFAN LAUGHS

0:39:08 > 0:39:10I'm going to give the snails themselves a rinse

0:39:10 > 0:39:11so they're not too slimy.

0:39:11 > 0:39:14Yeah, wash the slime off. Good idea, Stefan. Now what?

0:39:14 > 0:39:18Take the snail, put it back into the shell,

0:39:18 > 0:39:23and then cover it with a big slab of your garlicky butter.

0:39:23 > 0:39:28Mwah-ha-ha! Then take the snail and put it into an oven proof dish.

0:39:28 > 0:39:32I put some rock salt here so it will stand those little snails up.

0:39:32 > 0:39:33That's the snails all ready to go.

0:39:33 > 0:39:37They need to go into a hot oven at 180 degrees for about ten minutes.

0:39:37 > 0:39:39Let's cook these babies!

0:39:40 > 0:39:44When your snails are baked, take them out of the oven and serve.

0:39:44 > 0:39:48And that, my friends, is how to be epic at escargot.

0:39:49 > 0:39:52All hail the snail! Thanks, Stefan!

0:39:52 > 0:39:57So, there you have it, your Quick Blast of epicness.

0:39:57 > 0:40:00Now go forth and be epic at everything!
