0:00:13 > 0:00:15Scorpion Island.
0:00:15 > 0:00:19Isolated in the vast depths of a wild and brutal ocean.
0:00:19 > 0:00:23There are only two ways to reach its shore.
0:00:23 > 0:00:27By air or, for the very brave,
0:00:27 > 0:00:29via the ferocious sea.
0:00:29 > 0:00:3510 daring adventurers are about to face the challenge of their lives.
0:00:35 > 0:00:37- Faster!- Yes!
0:00:37 > 0:00:40- Bring it up!- Don't throw it!
0:00:40 > 0:00:42No!
0:00:42 > 0:00:44We have got to try our best.
0:00:44 > 0:00:46- Are you ready?- Ready!
0:00:46 > 0:00:48Yes!
0:00:48 > 0:00:50There will be conflict.
0:00:50 > 0:00:53Someone has to tell them it's wrong.
0:00:53 > 0:00:55Maybe someone else should have a go.
0:00:55 > 0:00:58Shall we move on, set it aside?
0:00:58 > 0:01:03But just when they think they've conquered the island,
0:01:03 > 0:01:06it will sabotage their mission.
0:01:06 > 0:01:08- What?!- What?
0:01:08 > 0:01:11To escape from Scorpion Island.
0:01:39 > 0:01:43Hello! Welcome to Scorpion Island. I'm Myleene.
0:01:43 > 0:01:47This time the island has a really big sting in its tail.
0:01:47 > 0:01:51I'm Johny. In just a moment, 10 brave adventurers will arrive
0:01:51 > 0:01:55to take on the island's challenges and devious twists and turns.
0:01:55 > 0:01:59They'll make some new friends and enemies.
0:01:59 > 0:02:03Scorpion Island never lets up. It will push them to the edge.
0:02:03 > 0:02:05It's going to be a real test.
0:02:05 > 0:02:10The waters around Scorpion Island are treacherous,
0:02:10 > 0:02:14filled with intimidating and deadly creatures.
0:02:14 > 0:02:18The 10 new adventurers are unaware of what they are up against
0:02:18 > 0:02:23as they prepare to make their way towards Scorpion Island.
0:02:23 > 0:02:27They will be racing high above the murky depths
0:02:27 > 0:02:30across the treacherous unknown waters.
0:02:30 > 0:02:33Who knows what will lurk beneath?
0:02:33 > 0:02:37A launch boat is taking them to an unknown destination.
0:02:38 > 0:02:44They're boarding rescue speed boats to race the powerful currents.
0:02:44 > 0:02:48For one adventurer, facing the raging seas is terrifying.
0:02:48 > 0:02:53I'm really feeling nervous about going in boats today.
0:02:53 > 0:02:57When I've looked at them, I thought, "That looks really unstable."
0:02:57 > 0:03:00I don't really want to do that.
0:03:00 > 0:03:05So I'm really nervous about it, but I want to conquer my fear.
0:03:05 > 0:03:10But this frightening, yet exciting journey is challenging others
0:03:10 > 0:03:13and they must face their fears, too.
0:03:13 > 0:03:17The thing about water that I'm so nervous about is
0:03:17 > 0:03:21when I look into the water, all I see is something blue.
0:03:21 > 0:03:25And I feel like I'm going to fall into it.
0:03:27 > 0:03:29I'm new to swimming.
0:03:29 > 0:03:32I haven't really been swimming a lot
0:03:32 > 0:03:36before I knew I was coming to Scorpion Island.
0:03:36 > 0:03:40Because the crashing waves are too aggressive for the boat,
0:03:40 > 0:03:45it must leave the adventurers isolated in the turbulent waters.
0:03:45 > 0:03:49They must ready themselves to go through the ocean barrier
0:03:49 > 0:03:53that protects the island. They'll need to hold on tight.
0:03:53 > 0:03:58They're about to face the ride of their lives.
0:04:00 > 0:04:03THEY SCREAM
0:04:08 > 0:04:12It's very choppy today, so that boat is going up and down.
0:04:12 > 0:04:14I can hear the screams.
0:04:14 > 0:04:19They must be torn between terror and exhilaration
0:04:19 > 0:04:23knowing that they might fall in at any moment.
0:04:26 > 0:04:29Some adventurers are confident.
0:04:29 > 0:04:31I'm fearless. Nothing scares me.
0:04:31 > 0:04:34I'm really good at skiing
0:04:34 > 0:04:38and I started snowboarding to help my balance and co-ordination.
0:04:40 > 0:04:46I'm not worried about going. I'll do my best when I go there.
0:04:46 > 0:04:51And I think this is maybe a good way to express myself.
0:04:53 > 0:04:58Others may be worried, but they're ready for a new adventure.
0:04:59 > 0:05:04I have never left Wales before except for once to go to Lapland
0:05:04 > 0:05:08with my mum and dad. But I should be OK.
0:05:11 > 0:05:14I'm worried about Scorpion Island
0:05:14 > 0:05:17because Scorpion Island is mischief
0:05:17 > 0:05:21and just does things that are out of the blue at you.
0:05:27 > 0:05:29Scorpion Island is an adventure.
0:05:29 > 0:05:33I want to achieve something and hopefully win.
0:05:39 > 0:05:44I just get really worried that I'm going to let my team down.
0:05:49 > 0:05:53Going to Scorpion Island scares me one little bit because
0:05:53 > 0:05:58I'm not going there with any parents. I've only met these people once.
0:05:58 > 0:06:01So it's sort of like a trust issue,
0:06:01 > 0:06:06but I'm sure that within the first two days I'll be fine.
0:06:14 > 0:06:18They're approaching the beach to take on Scorpion Island.
0:06:18 > 0:06:20Legend is about to be rewritten.
0:06:25 > 0:06:28I made it!
0:06:30 > 0:06:34- This is awesome! - Whoo!
0:06:41 > 0:06:44They've done it. They've arrived.
0:06:51 > 0:06:53They look happy to be on dry land.
0:06:53 > 0:06:59The adventurers who were nervous have overcome their initial fears.
0:06:59 > 0:07:03That was the best fun I've ever had. I'm so glad I didn't chicken out.
0:07:05 > 0:07:09That was so much fun. I loved that.
0:07:11 > 0:07:13We made it! Yeah!
0:07:18 > 0:07:22Absolutely amazing! We were bumping!
0:07:22 > 0:07:26We were bouncing across the waves. Oh, it was fun.
0:07:27 > 0:07:29Whoo!
0:07:29 > 0:07:34It was SO bumpy and so fast. You're, like, in the air.
0:07:34 > 0:07:38And then you all of a sudden stop. It's brilliant.
0:07:44 > 0:07:49Welcome to Scorpion Island. You guys were selected as the best
0:07:49 > 0:07:51to take on the island.
0:07:51 > 0:07:56You will be following the trail of the mysterious fortune hunter.
0:07:56 > 0:07:59He came to the island and plundered its treasure.
0:07:59 > 0:08:03However, he didn't escape the island and has since disappeared.
0:08:05 > 0:08:11Scorpion Island relishes its splendid isolation
0:08:11 > 0:08:15and uses its natural world as its impenetrable defence system.
0:08:15 > 0:08:19Its virtually impassable ocean and shore
0:08:19 > 0:08:23gives way to its dangerous jungles, thick, swampy lagoons,
0:08:23 > 0:08:26exotic plants and creatures.
0:08:27 > 0:08:29The island is alive.
0:08:31 > 0:08:36Our ten adventurers are not the first to take on the island.
0:08:36 > 0:08:40In recent times, an adventurer came from far across the seas.
0:08:40 > 0:08:42He was a fortune hunter
0:08:42 > 0:08:47whose mission was to plunder the island of its legendary treasure,
0:08:47 > 0:08:52the treasure that represents its precious life.
0:08:55 > 0:08:59He took on the island's challenges, succeeded
0:08:59 > 0:09:02and won all of the treasure.
0:09:03 > 0:09:06But he failed in his final escape.
0:09:07 > 0:09:09As an ultimate act of revenge,
0:09:09 > 0:09:13the furious island threw the treasures deep into its jungles
0:09:13 > 0:09:18and mischievously captured the fortune hunter's spirit
0:09:18 > 0:09:21- and locked it away.- Aaaargh!
0:09:26 > 0:09:30His legacy remains scattered across the island.
0:09:37 > 0:09:41But now the island is more guarded than ever
0:09:41 > 0:09:45and our ten new adventurers must follow the path that he created.
0:09:45 > 0:09:50So, guys, the island has hidden the treasure once more.
0:09:50 > 0:09:55It's up to you guys to find it. You will be split into two teams.
0:09:55 > 0:09:59It's up to your team to find an island treasure each day.
0:09:59 > 0:10:04The more treasure you find, the better your chances of escaping.
0:10:04 > 0:10:08The island is trying to communicate with you right now.
0:10:08 > 0:10:13Over there are a bunch of bottles with a message from the island.
0:10:23 > 0:10:27Inside these ten glass bottles is a parchment
0:10:27 > 0:10:32containing a specially-coded message for each adventurer.
0:10:34 > 0:10:38I want you to go over to the bottles and find your own message.
0:10:38 > 0:10:40What are you waiting for, guys? Go!
0:10:45 > 0:10:49Each bottle contains a parchment with the name of an adventurer,
0:10:49 > 0:10:55the number 1 or 2 and a unique mysterious symbol.
0:10:55 > 0:10:58What could the island be trying to tell them?
0:11:00 > 0:11:04- I've got 1. Who's got 2? - What does 2 mean?
0:11:04 > 0:11:08What does 2 mean?
0:11:09 > 0:11:13It's a map! It's a map!
0:11:13 > 0:11:16Maybe we have to find each symbol.
0:11:16 > 0:11:21The challenges - there could be symbols on the wall or something
0:11:21 > 0:11:26and whatever lights up, it's that person who's doing the challenge.
0:11:26 > 0:11:29- Everyone take a step back. - Yeah, step back.
0:11:29 > 0:11:31Everybody show each other.
0:11:31 > 0:11:33- I've got a shell. - A circle.
0:11:33 > 0:11:37- I've got a monkey. - I've got lightning.
0:11:37 > 0:11:39- The sun. - A snake.
0:11:41 > 0:11:46Come in then, guys. Come in. Have you all got your parchments?
0:11:46 > 0:11:47OK.
0:11:47 > 0:11:51On your parchment is a number. One or two.
0:11:51 > 0:11:55- Yeah.- OK. Will Team One please stand to my left?
0:11:57 > 0:12:00And Team Two to my right.
0:12:03 > 0:12:07As you can see, guys, for the first time ever
0:12:07 > 0:12:12the island has decided it's boys against girls.
0:12:13 > 0:12:16After defeating the fortune hunter,
0:12:16 > 0:12:20the island made its defences stronger than ever before
0:12:20 > 0:12:24and in an attempt to surprise the adventurers,
0:12:24 > 0:12:29for the first time it's a battle of boys versus girls.
0:12:29 > 0:12:33- No girls!- The two teams must battle against each other
0:12:33 > 0:12:37in terrifying challenges devised by the island.
0:12:37 > 0:12:40It will test their physical prowess,
0:12:41 > 0:12:46their determination and their teamwork.
0:12:46 > 0:12:48- Go, go, go! - Here!
0:12:48 > 0:12:50It's the last one we've got.
0:12:50 > 0:12:55Only the winning team can follow in the footsteps of the fortune hunter
0:12:55 > 0:12:58- and gain an island treasure. - The boys!
0:12:58 > 0:13:01The girls!
0:13:01 > 0:13:03But the island will manipulate them.
0:13:03 > 0:13:08We need to bond together. The island will put us to the test.
0:13:08 > 0:13:12And do everything it can to see that they fail.
0:13:12 > 0:13:15When you lose, you learn from it.
0:13:15 > 0:13:18ALL: We are the boys and the best!
0:13:18 > 0:13:20ALL: Here we go!
0:13:20 > 0:13:25Who will be their first team captain? It's decision time.
0:13:27 > 0:13:30This should be interesting.
0:13:30 > 0:13:32For me?
0:13:34 > 0:13:37- ALL: Aye! - OK, thank you, people.
0:13:37 > 0:13:39Thank you.
0:13:41 > 0:13:43Everyone can have a go.
0:13:43 > 0:13:45ALL: Boys!
0:13:45 > 0:13:50- The boys look confident, girls. What do you say?- Bring it on!
0:13:50 > 0:13:55Have you decided on team captains? Who's team captain for the boys?
0:13:55 > 0:13:59- Me.- Zach. Are you ready to lead your team into battle?- Yes.
0:13:59 > 0:14:03- Feeling confident?- I just don't want to lose!- Good luck.
0:14:03 > 0:14:07- Girls, have you decided? - Lizzie!- Lizzie.
0:14:07 > 0:14:11- Are you feeling confident?- Yep. - Think you can take on Zach?
0:14:11 > 0:14:13- Any day!- Brilliant.
0:14:13 > 0:14:18So everyone feels very confident, but this might switch things up.
0:14:18 > 0:14:21Your parchments also have a symbol.
0:14:21 > 0:14:24- Did you notice that?- Yeah.
0:14:24 > 0:14:28Throughout your island life, these are important.
0:14:28 > 0:14:33They're very important now because in this bag I have 10 symbols.
0:14:33 > 0:14:38I'll pick one out. If it's your symbol, you'll get to choose
0:14:38 > 0:14:42who goes first in today's Island Challenge.
0:14:42 > 0:14:45The Island Challenges are crucial.
0:14:45 > 0:14:50The teams battle against each other to win their first island treasure.
0:14:51 > 0:14:55But there are ten symbols and only one can be picked.
0:14:55 > 0:14:58Who will be lucky - the boys or the girls?
0:14:59 > 0:15:02Who has this symbol?
0:15:04 > 0:15:08- Everybody show each other. - That looks like mountains.
0:15:08 > 0:15:13The Scorpion Island mountains were assigned to Peter.
0:15:13 > 0:15:15Peter, you have this symbol.
0:15:15 > 0:15:20So you get the choice of who goes first. This is important.
0:15:20 > 0:15:24I'll give you a few seconds to talk amongst yourselves.
0:15:27 > 0:15:31- Second, second.- So we can see how the girls are going on.
0:15:31 > 0:15:36Come on then, guys. I have to rush you. Zach, I saw you take the lead.
0:15:36 > 0:15:38Have you made the decision?
0:15:38 > 0:15:42Yeah, second. That way we can see what the girls are like
0:15:42 > 0:15:46- and hopefully beat them by more. - Very clever!
0:15:46 > 0:15:51How do you feel about that, girls? How do you feel about going first?
0:15:51 > 0:15:53All right, but a bit annoyed.
0:15:53 > 0:15:57OK, it is time for your first Island Challenge,
0:15:57 > 0:16:02so go and join Myleene in the jungle. Go on, guys. Who will win?
0:16:02 > 0:16:04It's all to play for!
0:16:06 > 0:16:11The only way to travel to the heart of the dense jungle is by air,
0:16:11 > 0:16:16where they will face their first terrifying Island Challenge.
0:16:26 > 0:16:31As they prepare to play, let's get to know the girls.
0:16:31 > 0:16:33Khadie.
0:16:33 > 0:16:38I'm quite fast and I can do a lot of quick swimming games
0:16:38 > 0:16:43and racing games. I do football a lot.
0:16:43 > 0:16:47I have to do training two times a week.
0:16:47 > 0:16:51Because I'm the youngest in that group, it's quite hard to keep up.
0:16:51 > 0:16:53Natty.
0:16:53 > 0:16:59We go camping every year to quite a deserted island, so I'll cope well.
0:16:59 > 0:17:04When I'm fired up, I get a bit pushy, like on a netball court
0:17:04 > 0:17:08and you're really going for it and you start pushing them around
0:17:08 > 0:17:12to get the ball. I do get a bit carried away like that,
0:17:12 > 0:17:15but I'll try not to get too carried away.
0:17:15 > 0:17:19- Eleanor.- At school, I'm the oldest of my group of friends.
0:17:19 > 0:17:24I'm quite good at bossing people around,
0:17:24 > 0:17:28but I like to make sure everyone's happy with what they're doing
0:17:28 > 0:17:30and not upset about something.
0:17:30 > 0:17:34- Lizzie. - If I was chosen for the challenge,
0:17:34 > 0:17:37I would just focus hard.
0:17:37 > 0:17:41I'm profoundly deaf and wear a cochlear implant,
0:17:41 > 0:17:43but that makes me listen to people.
0:17:43 > 0:17:48I've learnt to lip read people from such a young age,
0:17:48 > 0:17:50like since I was one and a half.
0:17:50 > 0:17:55I've had to practise all these years and so I've got better at it.
0:17:55 > 0:17:59I lip read people by the movement on their lips.
0:17:59 > 0:18:03I just... look at the movement of it
0:18:03 > 0:18:06and then I can know the words.
0:18:06 > 0:18:08And Jeremy.
0:18:08 > 0:18:14If I have an opinion, I will put it forward. Sometimes I get in arguments
0:18:14 > 0:18:17because sometimes I like things my own way.
0:18:17 > 0:18:22When I have feelings, other people might take it nasty
0:18:22 > 0:18:26and sometimes we have little arguments, but I make sure they know
0:18:26 > 0:18:28it wasn't anything mean to them.
0:18:33 > 0:18:38The boys and girls have made their way to the first Island Challenge.
0:18:38 > 0:18:42The girls are going first and both teams know if they win
0:18:42 > 0:18:47they get the first island treasure. Let's look at what's up for grabs.
0:18:48 > 0:18:52Scorpion Island is teeming with nature
0:18:52 > 0:18:57and carefully guards its treasures that represent life on the island.
0:18:57 > 0:19:01Following the path that the fortune hunter created,
0:19:01 > 0:19:04both teams will battle the island.
0:19:04 > 0:19:09If they win, it will reward them with a priceless treasure.
0:19:10 > 0:19:15The more treasures they are awarded, the greater the advantage they gain
0:19:15 > 0:19:20in the final race to release the fortune hunter's spirit and escape.
0:19:20 > 0:19:25So it's time to reveal the island's first treasure - the silver eagle.
0:19:31 > 0:19:35The eagle represents freedom from the island,
0:19:35 > 0:19:41something both our teams want, but the fortune hunter was denied.
0:19:45 > 0:19:48First up, it's the girls. That's Eleanor,
0:19:48 > 0:19:50Natty,
0:19:50 > 0:19:52Khadie,
0:19:52 > 0:19:54Jeremy
0:19:54 > 0:19:56and today's captain, Lizzie.
0:20:00 > 0:20:03This is Chasm of Chaos.
0:20:03 > 0:20:08In the heart of the island is a huge ravine with two crossings.
0:20:08 > 0:20:12Lower down is a flimsy bridge on which four team members stand
0:20:12 > 0:20:15holding coloured nets.
0:20:15 > 0:20:19More than three storeys high is a precarious cable
0:20:19 > 0:20:22and the team captains have to go across
0:20:22 > 0:20:27with only hoops and monkey bars for balance.
0:20:27 > 0:20:30Strapped to the edge of the wobbly platforms are four cogs
0:20:30 > 0:20:36which they must detach one at a time and drop into matching coloured nets
0:20:36 > 0:20:41as quickly as possible. If a cog misses a net or is otherwise lost,
0:20:41 > 0:20:46the captain has to go the end where there are spares of each colour.
0:20:46 > 0:20:51So they've got three chances at each drop, but the more they use up,
0:20:51 > 0:20:53the more time is wasted.
0:20:53 > 0:20:57And the team that catches the right cogs
0:20:57 > 0:21:02and then gets their captain to the end quickest wins.
0:21:02 > 0:21:06The teams are playing for the first island treasure, the silver eagle,
0:21:06 > 0:21:11so you just know they're going to give it their all.
0:21:11 > 0:21:18Girls, welcome to Chasm of Chaos. This challenge needs strong legs,
0:21:18 > 0:21:22a good sense of aim and target and, most importantly,
0:21:22 > 0:21:27no fear of heights whatsoever. How are you feeling, Lizzie?
0:21:27 > 0:21:33- I'm still confident.- Good, good. It doesn't scare you?- No.
0:21:33 > 0:21:37- How about the rest of you guys? - Excited. And a bit nervous.
0:21:37 > 0:21:40- Why's that? - Cos it's the first challenge.
0:21:40 > 0:21:44And we want to beat the boys.
0:21:44 > 0:21:46Ah, now we get down to it.
0:21:46 > 0:21:49How important is it to beat them?
0:21:49 > 0:21:53We want to beat them, but we won't be too hard on ourselves if we lose.
0:21:53 > 0:21:59But you'll be pretty hard on them. What about the boys watching you?
0:21:59 > 0:22:04They'll be able to see what we're doing
0:22:04 > 0:22:08and pick up some tactics, so it might be easier for them.
0:22:08 > 0:22:13In that case, start talking strategy. It's time for team talk.
0:22:13 > 0:22:15Don't rush, but go for it.
0:22:15 > 0:22:18When you get one, just drop it.
0:22:18 > 0:22:22When you're doing it, don't throw it.
0:22:22 > 0:22:27- I'll say, "Ready?" then drop it. - And try not to miss more than twice!
0:22:27 > 0:22:32And if we lose this challenge, it's not the end of the world, guys.
0:22:32 > 0:22:37- Right, so team talk over. Time to do it. Ready?- Yeah!- OK.
0:22:40 > 0:22:44The boys have chosen to take this challenge on second
0:22:44 > 0:22:46so they get to watch the girls.
0:22:46 > 0:22:51It could be a real advantage for when they take it on.
0:22:51 > 0:22:54OK, girls, are you ready?
0:22:54 > 0:22:55YES!!
0:22:55 > 0:23:00- Three, two, one...go! - Come on, Lizzie!
0:23:00 > 0:23:03Lizzie's wasting no time.
0:23:03 > 0:23:06This has got to go into Khadie's red net.
0:23:06 > 0:23:12- As quick as you can.- They're asking her to get across to Khadie faster,
0:23:12 > 0:23:16but it's not easy. Lizzie is 5 metres above the rest
0:23:16 > 0:23:21and they're already two storeys off the bottom of the chasm.
0:23:21 > 0:23:25So Lizzie's moving impressively quickly
0:23:25 > 0:23:27and it's giving the boys some ideas.
0:23:27 > 0:23:31You need to go down to that net, drop it in.
0:23:31 > 0:23:36Brilliant! Are you ready? Bring it in a bit.
0:23:36 > 0:23:40Lizzie's in place and trying to gauge the perfect drop.
0:23:40 > 0:23:42At this height, it's so difficult.
0:23:42 > 0:23:47- Please, drop it. - Try, just try!
0:23:47 > 0:23:50And here she goes. ..Oh, no!
0:23:50 > 0:23:51Yes!
0:23:51 > 0:23:56- Khadie missed it!- Lizzie makes great time getting in position
0:23:56 > 0:23:59and Khadie seemed braced for it,
0:23:59 > 0:24:03but Lizzie's aim is off and it just plummets past.
0:24:03 > 0:24:07Unlucky, but is it just the practice shot the girls needed?
0:24:07 > 0:24:11Go again! Get the yellow.
0:24:11 > 0:24:14- Quickly! - Grab the yellow.
0:24:14 > 0:24:16The yellow!
0:24:16 > 0:24:21That's a good idea, that is. Just get what the closest one is.
0:24:21 > 0:24:27Everyone seems to think this is a good tactic from Lizzie,
0:24:27 > 0:24:30but can she get the yellow cog in Natty's net?
0:24:30 > 0:24:35- She is moving so quickly. - Get the blue. Drop that in Natty's
0:24:35 > 0:24:40- and get the blue coming back. - That's the hard bit.
0:24:40 > 0:24:45The boys think they're learning a lot. Will they learn from this?
0:24:45 > 0:24:47Go.
0:24:47 > 0:24:48GO!
0:24:48 > 0:24:52- Get in there.- Ooh!
0:24:52 > 0:24:55- Yes!- Missed!
0:24:55 > 0:24:58Lizzie takes a long time to aim,
0:24:58 > 0:25:03but it bounces off the edge of Natty's net. It was closer,
0:25:03 > 0:25:07but it's two misses so far. They really need to improve.
0:25:07 > 0:25:11- Get the blue! - Try to line it up first.
0:25:11 > 0:25:17Lizzie's collected the blue cog, but can't let the pressure get to her.
0:25:17 > 0:25:21- Yeah, go! - Go quickly!
0:25:21 > 0:25:24- Jeremy's got it! Quickly! - Eleanor's taking charge,
0:25:24 > 0:25:29telling Lizzie to head over to Jeremy. Good advice.
0:25:29 > 0:25:31You're doing really well, Lizzie.
0:25:31 > 0:25:36The boys look nervous. Can Lizzie make them fret? She's going for it.
0:25:38 > 0:25:40Yes!
0:25:40 > 0:25:43First cog! Jeremy caught it.
0:25:43 > 0:25:46It's third time lucky for the girls.
0:25:46 > 0:25:49Lizzie throws the blue cog just a touch nearer.
0:25:49 > 0:25:54It's only a tiny adjustment but puts it in Jeremy's reach.
0:25:54 > 0:25:59- Great stuff.- Lizzie! Go and get the yellow one.
0:25:59 > 0:26:04- Get the green and the yellow!- OK. - Yellow first. Get yellow first!
0:26:04 > 0:26:06OK.
0:26:06 > 0:26:11Lizzie's heading all the way across to where the spare cogs are stashed,
0:26:11 > 0:26:16but it must be so confusing for her. They're all giving different advice.
0:26:16 > 0:26:20- Just get one at a time! - Come back for the green!
0:26:22 > 0:26:25She's collected another yellow. Oh, no!
0:26:25 > 0:26:30This could be bad news for the girls. While collecting a yellow,
0:26:30 > 0:26:33Lizzie dislodged the other.
0:26:33 > 0:26:39So just over three minutes in and they've only made one catch
0:26:39 > 0:26:42and lost two yellow cogs. To fill all four nets,
0:26:42 > 0:26:47they've got to get this last yellow cog into Natty's net.
0:26:47 > 0:26:52They have to move fast, but can't afford not to be bang on target.
0:26:52 > 0:26:57You need to get the aim perfect, but take your time dropping it.
0:26:57 > 0:27:02And I'm not being funny, but if I tell you to go left or right, go.
0:27:02 > 0:27:04That'll help me greatly.
0:27:04 > 0:27:08The boys sounds like they've got their plan together,
0:27:08 > 0:27:12but they're missing some impressive cable crossing from Lizzie.
0:27:12 > 0:27:17She's being so brave here. Can she match this with an accurate drop?
0:27:17 > 0:27:23- We can do this, guys. - I'm holding it here, Lizzie.
0:27:23 > 0:27:27- Lizzie, you can do this! - OK.
0:27:27 > 0:27:29Right. Guys...
0:27:29 > 0:27:33- Oh, no!- Yes! They're not going to get that one.
0:27:33 > 0:27:39Lizzie's aim is good, but Natty's concentration is off for the drop.
0:27:39 > 0:27:44It catches her by surprise so she doesn't react quickly enough.
0:27:44 > 0:27:47Their last yellow cog has gone,
0:27:47 > 0:27:52with any chance they had of filling all four nets. Nightmare.
0:27:52 > 0:27:57There's no telling if the boys will make an equally big mistake,
0:27:57 > 0:28:01so the girls need to push on to at least make three catches.
0:28:01 > 0:28:06- It could still be enough to win. - Brilliant!
0:28:06 > 0:28:08Come on, Lizzie!
0:28:08 > 0:28:14- I'm green, Lizzie!- Lizzie's heading to the middle to drop the green cog
0:28:14 > 0:28:19into Eleanor's net. Can they both keep their cool?
0:28:19 > 0:28:23I've noticed something - why she's dropping them.
0:28:23 > 0:28:25They're not putting the net out.
0:28:25 > 0:28:30So put it out a bit further for me, if that's OK.
0:28:30 > 0:28:34Zach sounds confident he's got this challenge worked out.
0:28:34 > 0:28:37But it's so much tougher up there
0:28:37 > 0:28:41with just hoops and monkey bars for balance.
0:28:41 > 0:28:45Can Lizzie keep focused and make a successful drop to Eleanor?
0:28:45 > 0:28:49Right there. Go!
0:28:50 > 0:28:53- There?- Drop it!
0:28:53 > 0:28:55Catch it, catch it, catch it.
0:28:55 > 0:28:56Go!
0:28:56 > 0:28:59- Yes!- Yes!- She got it.
0:28:59 > 0:29:02This is just what the girls needed
0:29:02 > 0:29:06and with some terrific teamwork, just what they deserved.
0:29:06 > 0:29:10Lizzie's aim is perfect and Eleanor follows the cog with her eyes
0:29:10 > 0:29:15all the way into her net, so in six minutes, they've made two catches.
0:29:15 > 0:29:17Now can they make it three?
0:29:17 > 0:29:20Lizzie is racing across towards the spare cogs
0:29:20 > 0:29:23at the far end of the cable again.
0:29:23 > 0:29:27It's so wobbly up there, but she's not letting it worry her.
0:29:28 > 0:29:31Then again you wouldn't expect it to worry the girl
0:29:31 > 0:29:34who arrived on the island and said this.
0:29:34 > 0:29:37Nothing about Scorpion Island scares me.
0:29:37 > 0:29:42Well, that much is clear and it could be great news for the girls.
0:29:44 > 0:29:46You can do it, Lizzie.
0:29:46 > 0:29:51Excellent work. She's made it to the spare cogs and she's got a red one.
0:29:52 > 0:29:55If they get this, we need to get four.
0:29:55 > 0:29:59Three is the safe point if they get three, but four is the one to get.
0:29:59 > 0:30:02- We need to try and get four. - We have to beat them.
0:30:02 > 0:30:06The boys sound defiant, but also a little anxious.
0:30:06 > 0:30:08They can see just how hard this is.
0:30:08 > 0:30:11Can the girls give them something to really worry about
0:30:11 > 0:30:15by getting this last cog into Khadie's net?
0:30:15 > 0:30:18Right, go on to the plank.
0:30:18 > 0:30:21The first cog Lizzie dropped here was a red one
0:30:21 > 0:30:25and that time, Khadie had no chance of catching it.
0:30:25 > 0:30:27Lizzie seems to have got her eye in now,
0:30:27 > 0:30:31so will she be able to make things easier for Khadie this time around?
0:30:31 > 0:30:36Lizzie is concentrating and she's really leaning into the drop.
0:30:36 > 0:30:40- Yes!- She got it. Khadie got it. We've got a blue, a green and a red.
0:30:40 > 0:30:42The girls are flying through this.
0:30:42 > 0:30:47Brilliant. Just over seven minutes, the girls made their third catch.
0:30:47 > 0:30:50Maybe Khadie learnt from Eleanor's example.
0:30:50 > 0:30:53She doesn't let the cog out of sight until it hits her net.
0:30:53 > 0:30:56As they haven't got any more yellow cogs,
0:30:56 > 0:30:59this was the last catch they can make,
0:30:59 > 0:31:03so they just need Lizzie to get to the end platform ASAP.
0:31:03 > 0:31:07Get back to the platform! Quickly, get on to the platform!
0:31:07 > 0:31:10She is racing back, but what is she up to now?
0:31:10 > 0:31:14You just need to get on to the platform and then we're finished!
0:31:14 > 0:31:18Lizzie has got confused, but the clock is still ticking
0:31:18 > 0:31:23- and she needs to do what Eleanor says and fast!- Get on the platform!
0:31:23 > 0:31:26- Do whatever you think is right! - And she's there.
0:31:26 > 0:31:30Guys, that's the end of the game!
0:31:30 > 0:31:34Lizzie is across, but when her team needed her to move at top speed,
0:31:34 > 0:31:38she wasted time which, depending upon how the boys do,
0:31:38 > 0:31:42could prove crucial. Still, it was a good effort from the girls.
0:31:42 > 0:31:45What did they make of the challenge?
0:31:45 > 0:31:49It's a lot harder than it looks. You think it's going to be so easy.
0:31:49 > 0:31:52But it wasn't and I think Lizzie did really well.
0:31:52 > 0:31:54My team-mates performed really well
0:31:54 > 0:31:58because they put all their... They tried their hardest.
0:31:58 > 0:32:02Three of them out of four got their cogs in, so it was all good.
0:32:02 > 0:32:06Overall, I think we did perfectly. We did fine for the first time.
0:32:08 > 0:32:13You didn't do perfectly, Jeremy, but it was a strong first showing.
0:32:13 > 0:32:18Captain Lizzie never seemed troubled and moved at an impressive speed.
0:32:18 > 0:32:22She did send the first two cogs tumbling down into the creek,
0:32:22 > 0:32:26but with back-up from Jeremy, managed to get the third in.
0:32:26 > 0:32:29This was where things went wrong for the girls.
0:32:29 > 0:32:33Lizzie dislodged one yellow cog while collecting the next,
0:32:33 > 0:32:37then Natty wasn't paying attention when that one dropped.
0:32:37 > 0:32:42With all three yellow cogs lost, they could not fill all four nets.
0:32:42 > 0:32:46They battled on and helped by some outstanding direction from Eleanor,
0:32:46 > 0:32:51they netted three cogs and finished in seven minutes and 40 seconds.
0:32:51 > 0:32:54Have they done enough to win this Silver Eagle
0:32:54 > 0:32:57or can the boys do better?
0:32:57 > 0:33:01- Girls, well done. Did you enjoy yourselves?- Yeah.
0:33:01 > 0:33:06Lizzie, I thought you'd be freaking out because it's quite high.
0:33:06 > 0:33:09- Were you?- No. - How did you feel up there?
0:33:09 > 0:33:13Just worried we wouldn't catch it, but still, "It's going to be fun."
0:33:13 > 0:33:18You girls, it was like a coffee morning, you were all chatting away.
0:33:18 > 0:33:20What was going on there, Eleanor?
0:33:20 > 0:33:24We were just trying to get everyone to know what's going to happen.
0:33:24 > 0:33:26It was harder than it looked.
0:33:26 > 0:33:30We wanted to let each other know what was going on.
0:33:30 > 0:33:34When we got up there, we saw it was harder than it looked.
0:33:34 > 0:33:36We decided to change a bit of strategy,
0:33:36 > 0:33:41so we discussed what else we could do to make it easier for everyone else.
0:33:41 > 0:33:44How do you think the boys will fare?
0:33:44 > 0:33:47You think they'll have seen a strategy in play?
0:33:47 > 0:33:51Yeah, but whether they can actually do it is another thing.
0:33:51 > 0:33:56They might have a better strategy than us. It might work.
0:33:56 > 0:33:59But they might not want to risk ours. We did drop one.
0:33:59 > 0:34:03- Do you think they can beat you? - No.- No chance.
0:34:03 > 0:34:06- Girls have got better balance. - Let's see.
0:34:06 > 0:34:09We'll find out very shortly how the boys do.
0:34:09 > 0:34:13Still to come, the girls and the boys discover
0:34:13 > 0:34:17the fortune-hunter's extraordinary base camps,
0:34:17 > 0:34:20but it's been a while since they've been lived in.
0:34:20 > 0:34:23It's a little dark and dull and it's smelly too.
0:34:23 > 0:34:26It looks like you've just been dumped there.
0:34:26 > 0:34:30Who is this mysterious character that breached the island's defences?
0:34:30 > 0:34:34I'm not really sure about the fortune-hunter.
0:34:34 > 0:34:37I'm just curious about where this person is.
0:34:37 > 0:34:39And the boys have to face the Chasm of Chaos
0:34:39 > 0:34:43to win the first Island Treasure,
0:34:43 > 0:34:45for the pressure is on.
0:34:45 > 0:34:47Yes!
0:34:47 > 0:34:50The teams have gone to look at their base camps.
0:34:50 > 0:34:52I wonder what they'll make of them?
0:34:52 > 0:34:55The base camps were made by the fortune-hunter
0:34:55 > 0:34:58and he used them for shelter and protection.
0:34:58 > 0:35:03They've been left untouched since he disappeared all those years ago.
0:35:03 > 0:35:07The first camp isn't as luxurious as the adventurers want it to be.
0:35:07 > 0:35:09It's Tree Camp, hidden in the dense jungle.
0:35:09 > 0:35:13The fortune-hunter built machines with which to plunder the island.
0:35:14 > 0:35:18It is a little dark and a little dull and it's smelly too,
0:35:18 > 0:35:21but I think we'll get used to it.
0:35:21 > 0:35:23Peter's looking on the bright side.
0:35:23 > 0:35:26What do the girls think of the abandoned Tree Camp?
0:35:26 > 0:35:28There's a rocking chair.
0:35:28 > 0:35:32When I saw the camp, I thought, "Oh, gosh!"
0:35:32 > 0:35:36It's dusty, it's old. It looks like you've just been dumped there.
0:35:36 > 0:35:40- I need more light. - This one's a bit dark.
0:35:40 > 0:35:43But over on the sunny side of the creek,
0:35:43 > 0:35:46it's River Camp with cool hammocks and the luxurious lagoon.
0:35:46 > 0:35:50This is where the fortune-hunter devised his master plans
0:35:50 > 0:35:52against the island's defences.
0:35:52 > 0:35:57The best thing about the River Camp is it feels homely, there's hammocks.
0:35:57 > 0:36:01You can relax. You can sit and chat and there's a built-in swimming pool.
0:36:01 > 0:36:05But the girls aren't the only ones who like River Camp.
0:36:07 > 0:36:11- Oh, look at that! - Look at that! Nice water!
0:36:11 > 0:36:15This place is like 100 times better than the last camp we saw.
0:36:15 > 0:36:18It's not smelly, it's not dull, it's not dark.
0:36:18 > 0:36:20This place has everything.
0:36:21 > 0:36:25I live behind a highway and it's always noisy.
0:36:26 > 0:36:30And when you hear the sound of the water,
0:36:30 > 0:36:32it's just so soothing, it's relaxing.
0:36:32 > 0:36:37If we sit down just now, I reckon we'll fall asleep straight away.
0:36:37 > 0:36:41How will the adventurers know which camp they get?
0:36:41 > 0:36:44The island will reveal exactly how in due course,
0:36:44 > 0:36:48but the boys are pretty clear on which camp they want.
0:36:48 > 0:36:52- If we do win, which camp will we go for?- This one.- Listen.
0:36:52 > 0:36:54Say "aye" for that one. LAUGHTER
0:36:54 > 0:36:57Say "aye" for this one. ALL: Aye!
0:37:03 > 0:37:05Let's meet the boys.
0:37:06 > 0:37:08James.
0:37:08 > 0:37:12I'm very good at climbing and making things
0:37:12 > 0:37:16out of all different types of things that you can find on the island.
0:37:16 > 0:37:20I'm very competitive. I do lots of swimming. I swim for a club.
0:37:20 > 0:37:24It's good to be competitive. It helps you when you want to beat the others.
0:37:24 > 0:37:26It pushes you even further.
0:37:26 > 0:37:28Peter.
0:37:28 > 0:37:30I'm really, really competitive.
0:37:30 > 0:37:35And if the opposing team were just this far ahead,
0:37:35 > 0:37:38I would never give up.
0:37:38 > 0:37:42Because I go to school seven days a week,
0:37:42 > 0:37:46I think this is a rare opportunity to get away
0:37:46 > 0:37:50and I'll try and enjoy it as much as I can.
0:37:50 > 0:37:52Jordan.
0:37:52 > 0:37:55I will bring great thinking. I'm a really good thinker.
0:37:55 > 0:37:58I think really quickly.
0:37:58 > 0:38:02I work out quite good strategies for each game and everything.
0:38:02 > 0:38:07If I was to fail in a task, it just would make me a better person
0:38:07 > 0:38:10by showing me what I need to improve on and everything.
0:38:10 > 0:38:13It would help me to learn about myself.
0:38:14 > 0:38:16Dilhan.
0:38:16 > 0:38:20I like to make lots and lots of noise - bang things together
0:38:20 > 0:38:24and stomp on the ground, scream and have a little bit of a laugh.
0:38:24 > 0:38:28I'm a bit of a comedian, so I bring laughter to the team as well.
0:38:28 > 0:38:29And Zach.
0:38:29 > 0:38:33I love, like, football and rugby and all the sports.
0:38:33 > 0:38:37But I don't want to get overly competitive.
0:38:37 > 0:38:41That's when my really ugly side comes out and it's not nice.
0:38:41 > 0:38:46Sometimes if I'm tired, I'm hungry and competitive,
0:38:46 > 0:38:50that's the worst cocktail for any bad behaviour with me.
0:38:55 > 0:38:58'Next up, it's the boys.
0:38:58 > 0:39:02'That's Jordan, James,
0:39:02 > 0:39:04'Dilhan,
0:39:04 > 0:39:06'Peter
0:39:06 > 0:39:09'and today's captain, Zach.
0:39:12 > 0:39:16'Because Peter's symbol was selected, the boys had the choice
0:39:16 > 0:39:19'of whether to take on the Chasm of Chaos first or second.'
0:39:19 > 0:39:22- Have you made a decision? - We'll go second.
0:39:22 > 0:39:25We'll see what the girls are like.
0:39:25 > 0:39:29They made the girls go first, a decision they seemed pleased with.
0:39:29 > 0:39:32It was a good idea to go second.
0:39:32 > 0:39:36We'll know what their strengths are and what their weaknesses are.
0:39:36 > 0:39:39They watched as Lizzie did what Zach will have to do,
0:39:39 > 0:39:43racing over a terrifying drop on nothing more than a narrow cable
0:39:43 > 0:39:46with monkey bars and hoops for balance.
0:39:46 > 0:39:50I need to go pretty fast because it's against the clock.
0:39:50 > 0:39:52She had to collect coloured cogs
0:39:52 > 0:39:55before dropping them into matching coloured nets.
0:39:55 > 0:40:00It's easy enough just dropping them down. The hard bit is catching them.
0:40:00 > 0:40:04One of the girls' cogs was lost and three missed the nets,
0:40:04 > 0:40:07so Lizzie had to go across the chasm
0:40:07 > 0:40:11to where two spares of each coloured cog were stashed.
0:40:11 > 0:40:15- Yes!- Because the girls wasted all three of their yellow cogs,
0:40:15 > 0:40:19they only made three catches before Lizzie headed to the end platform
0:40:19 > 0:40:21at seven minutes and 40 seconds.
0:40:21 > 0:40:24Three is the safe point if they get three.
0:40:24 > 0:40:27- But four is the one to get. - We must try and get four.
0:40:27 > 0:40:31The boys know if they can make all four catches
0:40:31 > 0:40:35or make three in less time than the girls, they will win.
0:40:35 > 0:40:37Zach sounds confident.
0:40:37 > 0:40:40I will tell you everything you need to know.
0:40:40 > 0:40:43Going second brings with it its own stress.
0:40:43 > 0:40:47Knowing what you must do means you know if you're not making the grade.
0:40:47 > 0:40:50So anything could happen in Round Two
0:40:50 > 0:40:52when the boys face Chasm of Chaos.
0:40:54 > 0:40:57You've been waiting eagerly to get up there.
0:40:57 > 0:41:01- Any pressures as team captain? - Yeah, cos it's the first challenge,
0:41:01 > 0:41:05so it's sort of like I want them to make sure that I'm a good captain.
0:41:05 > 0:41:09- You don't want a mutiny before you've even started?- Definitely.
0:41:09 > 0:41:13- How badly do you want that Island Treasure?- Pretty badly.
0:41:13 > 0:41:18- Not maybe the treasure, just mostly beating those girls.- Fighting talk!
0:41:18 > 0:41:20- Do you think you can beat them?- Yes!
0:41:20 > 0:41:24- You guys really mean business, don't you?- Yeah.- Let's do it!
0:41:27 > 0:41:30Boys, are you ready?
0:41:30 > 0:41:32Yes!
0:41:32 > 0:41:36Three, two, one, go!
0:41:36 > 0:41:39- Go, Zach.- Come on, Zach.- Go!
0:41:39 > 0:41:43He's got the red cog and he's got to get it to James' red net.
0:41:43 > 0:41:47- Make sure it doesn't come off. - Come on, Zach!
0:41:47 > 0:41:50This is terrific encouragement from his team.
0:41:50 > 0:41:54How will he cope with crossing the cable? He's looking rather wobbly.
0:41:54 > 0:41:57- Come on, Zach! - He seems very focused.
0:41:57 > 0:42:01Just as well. If he thought about how frighteningly high up he is,
0:42:01 > 0:42:04it would surely put him off.
0:42:06 > 0:42:08- Oh, no!- Oh!
0:42:08 > 0:42:10He's dropped it.
0:42:10 > 0:42:14This is an awful piece of luck for the boys.
0:42:14 > 0:42:18The red cog becomes detached from Zach's elbow and falls down,
0:42:18 > 0:42:22bouncing off Dilhan's head before plunging into the ravine.
0:42:22 > 0:42:25There is a stash of spares all the way across the gorge,
0:42:25 > 0:42:28but getting there will waste precious time.
0:42:28 > 0:42:32That was not the start they were looking for,
0:42:32 > 0:42:35but Zach is moving straight on to the blue cog.
0:42:35 > 0:42:40He has to get it into Peter's blue net on the far side of the chasm.
0:42:40 > 0:42:43Peter's blue. Keep coming this way. Peter!
0:42:43 > 0:42:47- Come on, Zach.- Make sure you keep hold of it.- Hold on to it!
0:42:47 > 0:42:50The rest of the boys are being so supportive.
0:42:50 > 0:42:52They're giving him sound advice too.
0:42:52 > 0:42:57- It would be terrible if he dropped this one.- You're nearly there!
0:42:57 > 0:43:01Remember, when the girls played, they managed to lose four cogs,
0:43:01 > 0:43:06including three of the same colour, so they could only fill three nets.
0:43:06 > 0:43:09If he drops another red or blue, we're OK.
0:43:09 > 0:43:13The fewer the boys lose, the greater their chance of coming out on top.
0:43:13 > 0:43:17- You can do it! - It is alarmingly high up.
0:43:17 > 0:43:20But he's in place for his second drop.
0:43:20 > 0:43:23Bend down! Bend down, remember!
0:43:23 > 0:43:25GIRL: Miss it, miss it, miss it!
0:43:25 > 0:43:27BOYS: Yes!
0:43:27 > 0:43:29He's got it! Peter got it.
0:43:29 > 0:43:33Zach follows his team-mates' advice and leans down into the drop.
0:43:33 > 0:43:37His aim is true and Peter manages to hold on to the net
0:43:37 > 0:43:41as the weight of the cog buffets it down. Impressive!
0:43:41 > 0:43:45- Two and a half minutes in, the boys are off the mark.- It's like surfing!
0:43:47 > 0:43:52It might be like surfing, but this is a horrendous place for a wipeout.
0:43:53 > 0:43:57- Come on, Zach! - He looks properly shaky up there.
0:43:57 > 0:44:01- But he has got to get to the green cog.- Come on, Zach!
0:44:01 > 0:44:03That's it, hold it...
0:44:03 > 0:44:06We've got a good chance. He's going really slowly.
0:44:06 > 0:44:11Lizzie just grabbed it and ran. He's taking too much time.
0:44:11 > 0:44:17Eleanor's correct. Lizzie moved much quicker across the cable than Zach.
0:44:17 > 0:44:20Could this speed difference prove decisive?
0:44:20 > 0:44:25- Come on, Zach!- Come on, Zach! - See if you can go a bit faster!
0:44:25 > 0:44:28That's right, he does need to go faster.
0:44:28 > 0:44:31If both teams only get three cogs in their nets,
0:44:31 > 0:44:35it comes down to who manages this in the shortest time.
0:44:35 > 0:44:40- Come on, keep going!- Come on, Zach, speed it up a little!
0:44:40 > 0:44:45All the shouting will not help Zach keep his balance or concentration.
0:44:45 > 0:44:49But he delivers this green cog over towards Dilhan's green net.
0:44:49 > 0:44:51And he's going for it.
0:44:51 > 0:44:54- Yes!- Dilhan did it. Dilhan caught it.
0:44:54 > 0:44:58Zach reaches right over into the drop
0:44:58 > 0:45:02and the green cog zips down dead on target. It's their second catch.
0:45:02 > 0:45:05And after he'd taken one cog to the head,
0:45:05 > 0:45:08Dilhan must be delighted to have held on to this one.
0:45:10 > 0:45:13- Come on, Zach!- Faster, Zach!
0:45:13 > 0:45:16Now Zach's got the yellow cog
0:45:16 > 0:45:21which he has to take back across the cable to Jordan's yellow net.
0:45:21 > 0:45:24- Come on, Zach! - You're nearly there, Zach!
0:45:24 > 0:45:27You've done two. You're halfway.
0:45:27 > 0:45:31The yellow cogs were the ones that got the better of the girls.
0:45:31 > 0:45:36They lost the first one and both spares. Can the boys do any better?
0:45:36 > 0:45:39Come on, Zach, you can do it!
0:45:39 > 0:45:41Keep going!
0:45:41 > 0:45:43- Wrong one, wrong one!- Wrong one!
0:45:43 > 0:45:46You need to go over to Jordan.
0:45:46 > 0:45:48To me. Over here!
0:45:48 > 0:45:52- Jordan's right at the end. - Excellent guidance from James.
0:45:52 > 0:45:56If Zach dropped it from the wrong platform, it could be disastrous.
0:45:56 > 0:46:00- He's going for it.- Yes!
0:46:00 > 0:46:02- Oh, no.- Oh, this is really bad.
0:46:02 > 0:46:04Zach aims perfectly again.
0:46:04 > 0:46:09The force of the cog hitting his net almost drags Jordan over the edge!
0:46:09 > 0:46:13At the velocity they come down, these cogs make a serious impact.
0:46:13 > 0:46:15Still, Jordan got it.
0:46:15 > 0:46:18The boys have equalled the girls' catch count of three
0:46:18 > 0:46:21and they're not giving up just yet.
0:46:21 > 0:46:24- Zach, bring back the red! - He's heading for the spares.
0:46:24 > 0:46:28- Come on, Zach! - Come on, Zach, you can do it!
0:46:28 > 0:46:31- Come on, Zach, quicker!- Come on!
0:46:31 > 0:46:35The boys are right behind him here. What amazing support!
0:46:35 > 0:46:38And yes, he's got the red cog.
0:46:38 > 0:46:41As the girls finished on three catches,
0:46:41 > 0:46:45if Zach can get this one into James' red net for the boys' fourth catch,
0:46:45 > 0:46:47they will snatch the win
0:46:47 > 0:46:51and bag the first Island Treasure - the Silver Eagle.
0:46:53 > 0:46:55SHOUTING
0:46:55 > 0:46:58Go as fast as you can, Zach! Hold on to it!
0:46:58 > 0:47:02Come on, Zach, you're almost done!
0:47:02 > 0:47:06- Last one!- Hurry up, Zach!
0:47:06 > 0:47:09This is a real barrage of cheering.
0:47:09 > 0:47:11They're trying to give Zach a boost.
0:47:11 > 0:47:14But it would be awful if it ended up putting him off.
0:47:14 > 0:47:17How nerve-wracking!
0:47:17 > 0:47:20- Move to him!- This is fine.
0:47:20 > 0:47:22Move across a little bit.
0:47:22 > 0:47:27- Oh, I'm really worried about this. - No, don't say anything.
0:47:27 > 0:47:30And here it goes!
0:47:31 > 0:47:35- Missed!- Oh! He didn't get it.
0:47:35 > 0:47:40Just when the boys could have ensured victory, disaster strikes.
0:47:40 > 0:47:43Zach aims their second red cog well.
0:47:43 > 0:47:45James doesn't react quickly enough.
0:47:45 > 0:47:49It bounces off the edge of his net and into the chasm below,
0:47:49 > 0:47:52so everything hangs on the last red cog.
0:47:52 > 0:47:56Come on, get the red one, hurry! As quick as you can!
0:47:56 > 0:47:58Zach must be exhausted,
0:47:58 > 0:48:01but he knows the fate of his team is in his hands.
0:48:01 > 0:48:04Come on, Zach, that's it, last one!
0:48:04 > 0:48:06Come on!
0:48:07 > 0:48:10Come on, Zach!
0:48:10 > 0:48:13This is so tense, but yes, he's got it.
0:48:13 > 0:48:17- You're nearly there! Quick! - Come on, Zach!- Come on!
0:48:17 > 0:48:20He's making his way back towards James
0:48:20 > 0:48:24and he's even struggling to reach the hand holds now.
0:48:24 > 0:48:27- Yes, he's missing the hoops. - Move across!
0:48:27 > 0:48:30- You'll be able to reach it. - Keep going, you're fine!
0:48:30 > 0:48:34- Keep going! - Don't drop it, whatever you do!
0:48:34 > 0:48:38If he misses this, we'll win because he's taken so much longer.
0:48:38 > 0:48:40Ssh! Just watch it, watch it.
0:48:40 > 0:48:45The girls are right. The boys have taken more than eight minutes now,
0:48:45 > 0:48:50by which time in the girls' turn, Lizzie was on the end platform.
0:48:50 > 0:48:52The girls only made three catches,
0:48:52 > 0:48:56so the boys will now either get a fourth catch and win
0:48:56 > 0:49:01or they'll miss and lose as they took longer to get three catches.
0:49:01 > 0:49:04It has all come down to this.
0:49:06 > 0:49:11- Take your time. Now move over. Move over a bit more.- Is that in line?
0:49:11 > 0:49:15Zach is lining it up and he's gone for the drop.
0:49:16 > 0:49:18Yes!
0:49:18 > 0:49:20Well done, Zach!
0:49:20 > 0:49:24Terrific stuff. Zach's aim is so precise this time
0:49:24 > 0:49:28that James doesn't even need to move to net the cog.
0:49:28 > 0:49:33It's the boys' fourth and final catch and guarantees them victory.
0:49:33 > 0:49:37Zach just needs to get himself to the end platform to seal the deal.
0:49:37 > 0:49:40- Come on, Zach!- Come on, Zach!
0:49:40 > 0:49:43And that's game over!
0:49:43 > 0:49:45Yes!
0:49:45 > 0:49:48Well done, Zach!
0:49:48 > 0:49:52That was an outstanding first performance from the boys.
0:49:52 > 0:49:55They must be delighted.
0:49:55 > 0:49:59Awesome. I thought we'd drop the third one cos we dropped the others.
0:49:59 > 0:50:02I was nervous that we wouldn't beat them,
0:50:02 > 0:50:04but we did and I just caught it at the end.
0:50:04 > 0:50:07I'm very happy how my team-mates played.
0:50:07 > 0:50:12They played to their strengths, they didn't go off on their own plan.
0:50:12 > 0:50:16So I'm very proud of them and I think we deserved this win.
0:50:18 > 0:50:20The boys did deserve their win,
0:50:20 > 0:50:24even though there were moments when it looked like it would escape them.
0:50:24 > 0:50:27Before Zach could try to drop the red cog,
0:50:27 > 0:50:30it slipped from his wrist and plummeted down.
0:50:30 > 0:50:32They made the next three catches,
0:50:32 > 0:50:35but Zach never seemed to be moving as quickly
0:50:35 > 0:50:37as Lizzie had in the girls' turn.
0:50:37 > 0:50:42When they went back to the red cog, James didn't react quickly enough
0:50:42 > 0:50:46to prevent the first spare plunging into the chasm.
0:50:46 > 0:50:49So it all came down to the final red cog.
0:50:49 > 0:50:52Another miss and the girls would have won.
0:50:52 > 0:50:56But when it mattered, Zach's aim was bang on, straight into James' net.
0:50:56 > 0:51:01So with four catches to the girls' three, the boys were triumphant.
0:51:01 > 0:51:07That means they'll take the first Island Treasure - the Silver Eagle.
0:51:12 > 0:51:15The adventurers have survived their first day.
0:51:15 > 0:51:19As the sun sets, they sit beside one of the fortune-hunter's relics,
0:51:19 > 0:51:23but there is something that's still puzzling them.
0:51:23 > 0:51:27I'm not really sure about the fortune-hunter.
0:51:27 > 0:51:30I'm just a bit curious about where this person is
0:51:30 > 0:51:35and if it's the island pretending to be the fortune-hunter or something.
0:51:35 > 0:51:40I think the fortune-hunter's hiding, watching every move we make.
0:51:40 > 0:51:43I reckon he's tried what we've done before and failed
0:51:43 > 0:51:46and been trapped by Scorpion Island.
0:51:47 > 0:51:51I'm very pleased that I'm in the boys' team
0:51:51 > 0:51:55because as a boy, I'm supporting all boys around the world.
0:51:55 > 0:51:57So come on, boys!
0:51:59 > 0:52:02Today I was captain and it was really nice
0:52:02 > 0:52:04as all my team-mates voted for me.
0:52:04 > 0:52:09It wasn't just me who wanted me to be captain. Everyone else wanted that.
0:52:09 > 0:52:11Thank you, people.
0:52:12 > 0:52:16In the challenge, I think my team performed very well.
0:52:16 > 0:52:19I think we've won. I hope we've won.
0:52:19 > 0:52:22- Yes!- Yeah!
0:52:22 > 0:52:26The challenge didn't go as well as we would have liked it to
0:52:26 > 0:52:30because we dropped one of the cogs.
0:52:31 > 0:52:33Oh!
0:52:33 > 0:52:38So we think the boys have won the challenge. We're annoyed about that.
0:52:38 > 0:52:40A full moon rises in the night sky.
0:52:40 > 0:52:44The adventurers are summoned to the Island Fire.
0:52:44 > 0:52:48This is the only place where the defensive Scorpion Island
0:52:48 > 0:52:52will communicate its devious plans directly with the boys and girls.
0:52:54 > 0:52:57Welcome, teams, to the Island Fire.
