0:00:41 > 0:00:46Suddenly we've just been told we are splitting into Sting and Claw.

0:00:46 > 0:00:50I've spent so long being friends with them but the island's twisted it up

0:00:50 > 0:00:54and now we've got to make friends with our new people.

0:00:57 > 0:01:00of the legendary Team Sting and Team Claw.

0:01:00 > 0:01:04It would be amazing if I could be

0:01:04 > 0:01:07the very first captain of Sting or Claw.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10I would be elated if I was chosen to be the first team captain

0:01:10 > 0:01:12of Sting or Claw.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15But some will take the competition too far.

0:01:15 > 0:01:17I crushed them slightly in my hand

0:01:17 > 0:01:21so when I throw them they'll easily crash.

0:01:21 > 0:01:22(I've done it!)

0:01:22 > 0:01:24This is Scorpion Island.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55Hello, and welcome to Scorpion Island.

0:01:55 > 0:01:58The island with a deviously cruel master plan.

0:01:58 > 0:02:00Two teams of adventurers are on the island

0:02:00 > 0:02:03and they are having the most amazing experience.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06Let's not forget they still need to be the best

0:02:06 > 0:02:10because only one team will escape on the final day.

0:02:10 > 0:02:14Scorpion Island relishes in its splendid isolation

0:02:14 > 0:02:19and uses its natural world as its impenetrable defence system.

0:02:19 > 0:02:23The island is teeming with life, its precious treasure.

0:02:25 > 0:02:29In recent times an adventurer came from far across the seas.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32He was a Fortune Hunter whose mission it was

0:02:32 > 0:02:35to plunder the island of its legendary treasure.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44He took on the island's challenges and succeeded

0:02:44 > 0:02:48but when he failed in his final escape, the furious island

0:02:48 > 0:02:53mischievously captured the Fortune Hunter's spirit and locked it away.

0:02:53 > 0:02:55Aaaaah!

0:02:59 > 0:03:02Now ten adventurers must follow the path he created.

0:03:02 > 0:03:05Their mission, to escape the island.

0:03:05 > 0:03:08They must battle it out in terrifying challenges

0:03:08 > 0:03:10and the victors win an island treasure.

0:03:10 > 0:03:14The more they win, the greater the advantage they'll have

0:03:14 > 0:03:16in the Final Race To Escape.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19The adventurers are about to find out

0:03:19 > 0:03:22who the captains are going to be

0:03:22 > 0:03:25for the very last day in teams of boys and girls.

0:03:25 > 0:03:28So, teams, you still have one more day

0:03:28 > 0:03:32as girls versus boys on the island so now it's time to reveal

0:03:32 > 0:03:37who will be your final captains for your fifth day on Scorpion Island.

0:03:45 > 0:03:50- The captain for the girls will be Natty.- Yay!- Yes!

0:03:50 > 0:03:54- And the captain for the boys will be James.- Yes!

0:03:54 > 0:03:57OK, Natty, there was a big girl cheer there.

0:03:57 > 0:04:00How do you feel about being captain for the fifth day?

0:04:00 > 0:04:03I feel really eager and excited for the challenge.

0:04:03 > 0:04:04Big changes ahead,

0:04:04 > 0:04:07so how are you going to enjoy your last day with the girls?

0:04:07 > 0:04:10I think I'll make sure it's fun more than anything else.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13Boys, what about you? How are you feeling, James?

0:04:13 > 0:04:16I'm feeling quite good actually cos it's the last day

0:04:16 > 0:04:19and I'm going to try to make our team win,

0:04:19 > 0:04:21try our best to win on my last day.

0:04:21 > 0:04:23- So, the boys go out on a high?- Yeah.

0:04:23 > 0:04:25OK, interesting. I look forward to it.

0:04:25 > 0:04:30It's the fifth day on the island, your final day as boys and girls.

0:04:30 > 0:04:32So, enjoy yourselves.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35The final team captains are Natty for the girls

0:04:35 > 0:04:36and James for the boys.

0:04:39 > 0:04:43But they will have to lead their teams on no ordinary day.

0:04:43 > 0:04:47What begins as boys and girls must end as Sting and Claw.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50What do you think will happen now, cos we'll be split up

0:04:50 > 0:04:52into Claw and Sting?

0:04:52 > 0:04:54I don't know. We may get separated

0:04:54 > 0:04:57and we won't have the friendship we have now.

0:04:57 > 0:04:59It's going to be really bad

0:04:59 > 0:05:02because we are splitting up with our team-mates

0:05:02 > 0:05:04and we'll have to fight against some of them.

0:05:04 > 0:05:07But it's good, cos we'll have more of a mixture

0:05:07 > 0:05:09cos we'll have girls on our team.

0:05:09 > 0:05:14It was a shock when we found out that we were going to be split up

0:05:14 > 0:05:18and I thought we were going to stay girls and boys

0:05:18 > 0:05:20but then it ends up the island has made a twist.

0:05:20 > 0:05:25We have really actually now started bonding as a team

0:05:25 > 0:05:28and now we find out we're going to get split up again.

0:05:28 > 0:05:32So, it's exciting going to have those teams

0:05:32 > 0:05:36but also a bit sad that after all that time together

0:05:36 > 0:05:40and working it out as a team we are going to get split up.

0:05:40 > 0:05:41I would like Sting.

0:05:41 > 0:05:43I would like Claw.

0:05:43 > 0:05:45See, we're enemies already and see what it is doing to us.

0:05:45 > 0:05:49Cos we started bonding properly and we made this camp ours

0:05:49 > 0:05:50and then, boom!

0:05:50 > 0:05:54Suddenly we are told we are going to be split into Sting and Claw.

0:05:54 > 0:05:56Apart from when the island started to rain on us.

0:05:56 > 0:05:59It's not fair on us cos we didn't expect it.

0:05:59 > 0:06:03We were starting to find out what strengths and weaknesses we all had.

0:06:03 > 0:06:07We started to bond properly and we've turned into family

0:06:07 > 0:06:09and we're just being split up.

0:06:09 > 0:06:13The adventurers may be shocked to discover that their journey will

0:06:13 > 0:06:17now take a very different path but the Fortune Hunter is their guide

0:06:17 > 0:06:22and he will light the way for them on this dark, foreboding island.

0:06:23 > 0:06:27He knows that only the bravest and brightest can escape

0:06:27 > 0:06:31and free his spirit and has left a system of clues in a symbol ring

0:06:31 > 0:06:33to assist the ten adventurers.

0:06:36 > 0:06:39But once again, the island is furious

0:06:39 > 0:06:43that the Fortune Hunter is still attempting to help them

0:06:43 > 0:06:46and has smashed the ring into pieces.

0:06:46 > 0:06:48Your time starts now.

0:06:50 > 0:06:55Try this one, I think I remember this one.

0:06:55 > 0:06:59As the adventurers piece the shards of the ring back together again

0:06:59 > 0:07:01they know that with each day that passes

0:07:01 > 0:07:05they have a more complicated puzzle to solve.

0:07:06 > 0:07:08- This one?- Yeah, this one.- OK.

0:07:11 > 0:07:13No, that one doesn't fit. I tried.

0:07:13 > 0:07:16- Try this one. - You dropped one on the floor.

0:07:16 > 0:07:18There's one on the floor.

0:07:18 > 0:07:20Down here.

0:07:20 > 0:07:21Good teamwork by the boys.

0:07:21 > 0:07:23This looks like it.

0:07:23 > 0:07:26There are seven pieces of symbol ring here

0:07:26 > 0:07:28but only four make the ring complete.

0:07:28 > 0:07:30Quick, quick, quick. Is it this one?

0:07:30 > 0:07:33Yeah, this one. No, wait, it doesn't go there.

0:07:33 > 0:07:36The team that complete the ring the quickest

0:07:36 > 0:07:38will get to play for an advantage from the Fortune Hunter.

0:07:38 > 0:07:42Uh-oh. We're stuffed.

0:07:42 > 0:07:44Teamwork by the girls.

0:07:44 > 0:07:46No, we need this one.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48We're done.

0:07:51 > 0:07:53Blew you out of the water, boys.

0:07:53 > 0:07:57You've got to admit that was a good performance by the girls.

0:07:58 > 0:08:00This is the third time the girls

0:08:00 > 0:08:03have pieced together the symbol ring quickly

0:08:03 > 0:08:08and they can again play for an advantage from the Fortune Hunter.

0:08:15 > 0:08:17The Fortune Hunter knows that only

0:08:17 > 0:08:21the brightest adventurers will be able to free his spirit.

0:08:21 > 0:08:24Khadie has proved she knows the symbol ring.

0:08:24 > 0:08:26I remember it like a big story.

0:08:26 > 0:08:30I kind of make it a long story and by the end,

0:08:30 > 0:08:32I literally know the whole ring.

0:08:32 > 0:08:36But does Khadie know it as well as the Fortune Hunter?

0:08:36 > 0:08:38In order for her and Natty to prove themselves to him

0:08:38 > 0:08:43they are about to face the toughest memory trial yet.

0:08:43 > 0:08:47They only have ten seconds to look at the symbol ring.

0:08:47 > 0:08:51One of the symbols will then change.

0:08:51 > 0:08:53If they can correctly identify the symbol

0:08:53 > 0:08:57they will gain an advantage in the island challenge.

0:08:57 > 0:09:00OK, when I lift this sheet you'll have ten seconds

0:09:00 > 0:09:02to memorise as many symbols as possible.

0:09:02 > 0:09:06- Are you ready?- Yes. - Your time starts now.

0:09:06 > 0:09:09Test your memory too, but quickly.

0:09:12 > 0:09:14You've got five seconds left.

0:09:14 > 0:09:17Three, two, one.

0:09:18 > 0:09:20Time is up.

0:09:20 > 0:09:22This is where things get really tough.

0:09:22 > 0:09:27Look away now. One symbol is about to change slightly.

0:09:29 > 0:09:33Natty and Khadie must identify the symbol that has changed.

0:09:36 > 0:09:41You have two minutes to choose a symbol that has changed

0:09:41 > 0:09:44and your two minutes starts now.

0:09:44 > 0:09:46The stakes are greater than ever.

0:09:46 > 0:09:48If the girls are incorrect

0:09:48 > 0:09:52then the advantage will automatically default to the boys.

0:09:52 > 0:09:54Wasn't this symbol the other way round?

0:09:56 > 0:09:57I don't know. No.

0:09:57 > 0:09:59It was this one. This had two, didn't it?

0:09:59 > 0:10:01- Erm...- I'm sure it did.

0:10:01 > 0:10:02I'm not sure.

0:10:03 > 0:10:05Are they all right on your side?

0:10:05 > 0:10:07Was there three of these?

0:10:07 > 0:10:09Yeah, there were three of those.

0:10:11 > 0:10:13Are you pretty sure?

0:10:13 > 0:10:17Let's have a look through this, OK, Khadie? Let's have a look.

0:10:17 > 0:10:18Semicircle, line.

0:10:21 > 0:10:22Shell.

0:10:23 > 0:10:26- Is that wrong? That looks different. - Hang on.

0:10:26 > 0:10:29- Is it that way round? Or is it...- Oh.

0:10:29 > 0:10:31Have a good look at each symbol.

0:10:37 > 0:10:39Hang on, there's two shells.

0:10:39 > 0:10:42- Yeah, there were, trust me, there were.- OK.

0:10:42 > 0:10:45- Didn't that shell also have those? - No, trust me.

0:10:48 > 0:10:52Oh, wait. The sun. Did that have that black outline?

0:10:52 > 0:10:54I think it's either this or this.

0:10:54 > 0:10:58- No, I don't think that sun had the black outline like that.- It did.

0:10:58 > 0:11:01Three, two, one. Your time is up.

0:11:01 > 0:11:03Girls, what is your decision?

0:11:03 > 0:11:05We think it's the sun.

0:11:05 > 0:11:09- You think it's the sun. Final answer.- Yes.- Noo!- Yes!

0:11:09 > 0:11:14Final answer. OK, I have accepted the sun as the final answer.

0:11:14 > 0:11:15I can reveal...

0:11:22 > 0:11:26- ..you are, in fact, wrong.- Yes!

0:11:26 > 0:11:30- It was, in fact, the shark. - Ah, what?

0:11:30 > 0:11:32It was a very slight change.

0:11:32 > 0:11:37If you look at this shark, the old shark had fins and a smaller eye.

0:11:37 > 0:11:41- So there weren't three boats? - There weren't three boats.

0:11:46 > 0:11:49I thought it was the boats so I was trying to put them off

0:11:49 > 0:11:50by saying it's the sun.

0:11:50 > 0:11:53- You boys wouldn't have got that either.- No.

0:11:53 > 0:11:57- That's honest.- I think it was our best tactic to lose.

0:11:57 > 0:11:58It was our tactic all along.

0:11:58 > 0:12:01You meant to lose, OK!

0:12:02 > 0:12:03The girls have lost.

0:12:03 > 0:12:07The boys will discover what the Fortune Hunter's advantage is later

0:12:07 > 0:12:12but for now he is trying to issue a warning to the boys.

0:12:13 > 0:12:15The shark changes shape.

0:12:19 > 0:12:22The tiniest detail in the Island Challenge

0:12:22 > 0:12:24can have the most dramatic effect.

0:12:24 > 0:12:28And today, one detail could turn everything on its head.

0:12:32 > 0:12:35Team captains James and Natty have found

0:12:35 > 0:12:37the Fortune Hunter's old typewriter

0:12:37 > 0:12:41and are keen to know what message he has for them today.

0:12:45 > 0:12:50It says "Adventurers, I want you to battle against the island

0:12:50 > 0:12:54"and succeed where I failed. So this is it.

0:12:54 > 0:12:59"You are soon to become Sting and Claw."

0:12:59 > 0:13:02"The island will demand that you throw and aim to be the best.

0:13:02 > 0:13:04"Don't let me down."

0:13:07 > 0:13:10This is an Island Challenge like no other.

0:13:10 > 0:13:11For the first time

0:13:11 > 0:13:15the adventurers must battle the island as individuals

0:13:15 > 0:13:18and only the best boy and the best girl

0:13:18 > 0:13:21will become founding captains of Sting and Claw.

0:13:23 > 0:13:26I think the challenge might be

0:13:26 > 0:13:29we have to throw and aim something into a hoop or something.

0:13:29 > 0:13:31I think that's why it says throw and aim,

0:13:31 > 0:13:34so we have to aim something as well as throwing.

0:13:34 > 0:13:39- Maybe it's a target. - It says throw to be the best.

0:13:39 > 0:13:42Two people get to be captain, so they're the best.

0:13:42 > 0:13:46We're still boys and girls working for our own end.

0:13:46 > 0:13:50So this guy, yeah, he finds out information pretty fast.

0:13:50 > 0:13:52So this is it, you are soon to become Sting and Claw.

0:13:52 > 0:13:55We only found out that last night, yeah.

0:13:55 > 0:13:56He's watching us!

0:13:59 > 0:14:02The adventurers have heard the Fortune Hunter's advice

0:14:02 > 0:14:06and now for the very first time they must face the island as individuals.

0:14:11 > 0:14:15The adventurers are not only battling to lead Sting and Claw

0:14:15 > 0:14:19but each on is fighting for today's island treasure too.

0:14:19 > 0:14:22All the adventurers want the island treasure

0:14:22 > 0:14:25because the more treasure their team is awarded

0:14:25 > 0:14:29the greater the advantage they'll gain in the final race

0:14:29 > 0:14:32to release the Fortune Hunter's spirit and escape.

0:14:34 > 0:14:36The fifth island treasure to be won is the silver crab.

0:14:39 > 0:14:44It represents the guarded nature of the impenetrable Scorpion Island.

0:14:48 > 0:14:50The boys have three island treasures,

0:14:50 > 0:14:52the girls only have one

0:14:52 > 0:14:55and all the adventurers now want the silver crab

0:14:55 > 0:14:58because the more treasure their teams own

0:14:58 > 0:15:01the greater the advantage they'll have in the final escape.

0:15:01 > 0:15:05First up, it's the girls.

0:15:05 > 0:15:07That's Eleanor,

0:15:07 > 0:15:09Lizzie,

0:15:09 > 0:15:11Jeremy,

0:15:11 > 0:15:13Khadie

0:15:13 > 0:15:17and today's captain, Natty.

0:15:18 > 0:15:21This is The Divider.

0:15:21 > 0:15:23In the heart of the island

0:15:23 > 0:15:26a massive target is suspended seven metres high

0:15:26 > 0:15:29and the adventurers must launch themselves across

0:15:29 > 0:15:30on a giant rope swing

0:15:30 > 0:15:33to splat rocks at it as close to the centre as possible.

0:15:35 > 0:15:39Each adventurer has three swings and three throws

0:15:39 > 0:15:42and there is enormous pressure on them here

0:15:42 > 0:15:44because the boy and the girl who do best

0:15:44 > 0:15:48will become the first captains of the legendary Sting and Claw.

0:15:48 > 0:15:52It's a real privilege and a great responsibility too

0:15:52 > 0:15:56because these first captains will pick the rest of their teams.

0:15:56 > 0:15:59Crucial decisions which will impact every single step

0:15:59 > 0:16:01of their Scorpion Island journeys.

0:16:03 > 0:16:06Plus, the adventurer who splats nearest the bull's-eye

0:16:06 > 0:16:09will also win the latest island treasure,

0:16:09 > 0:16:11the silver crab.

0:16:13 > 0:16:16So it does not get any more important than this

0:16:16 > 0:16:20and you know that they are all going to throw themselves into it.

0:16:22 > 0:16:25Hello, girls, welcome to The Divider.

0:16:25 > 0:16:27Whoever wins this game will determine

0:16:27 > 0:16:31who will be the new team captains for Sting and for Claw.

0:16:31 > 0:16:36So, my first question is, who wants to be the new captain?

0:16:36 > 0:16:40You all do! Eleanor, why would you like to be a captain?

0:16:40 > 0:16:43Because I like bossing people around.

0:16:43 > 0:16:49I don't want to be really bossy but I like making people do what I want.

0:16:49 > 0:16:52- Right.- And I would also like to tell boys what to do.

0:16:52 > 0:16:55So basically you want to be captain to boss the boys around?

0:16:55 > 0:16:59- I'd be fair. - But only if you're a girl.

0:17:03 > 0:17:06That's your captain plan.

0:17:06 > 0:17:07I'd be fair.

0:17:07 > 0:17:10OK. You're captain now.

0:17:10 > 0:17:13Tell me why you'd like to be captain for Sting or Claw.

0:17:13 > 0:17:18If I was captain I would be fair to the whole team.

0:17:18 > 0:17:23- OK.- And I think it would be better with mixed teams

0:17:23 > 0:17:26cos everyone has their own strength and weakness.

0:17:26 > 0:17:29Now, tell me, Jeremy, why do you want to be a captain?

0:17:29 > 0:17:34I like bossing people around as well but also

0:17:34 > 0:17:38I like to get a bit more respected and looked after a bit more.

0:17:38 > 0:17:40Khadie, tell me why you want to be captain.

0:17:40 > 0:17:46I like leading teams and making sure everyone's in place.

0:17:46 > 0:17:49Lizzie, you haven't said much. Why do you want to be captain?

0:17:49 > 0:17:52Because I could get everyone to be, like,

0:17:52 > 0:17:56let's try and win this, and be really in to it.

0:17:56 > 0:17:58- You like to motivate people.- Yeah.

0:17:58 > 0:18:01These are different reasons you've all got.

0:18:01 > 0:18:03- Are you ready?- Yeah.

0:18:06 > 0:18:08Natty's up first. The boys aren't allowed to watch

0:18:08 > 0:18:13but the rest of the girls are eager to see if she has nerves of steel

0:18:13 > 0:18:16needed to aim well while swinging at such height.

0:18:16 > 0:18:18The game is about to start and I can see already

0:18:18 > 0:18:21that Natty is looking pretty nervous.

0:18:21 > 0:18:24- Are you very nervous?- Yes.

0:18:24 > 0:18:28- Come on, Natty.- Are you ready?- Yes.

0:18:28 > 0:18:31Three, two, one...

0:18:31 > 0:18:35- Go!- She is launching herself out for her first throw.

0:18:35 > 0:18:38Terrifyingly high and she is going for it. Oh!

0:18:38 > 0:18:43Remember none of the adventurers have previously competed alone

0:18:43 > 0:18:47they have always been part of a team and so Natty is coping brilliantly

0:18:47 > 0:18:49with the stress of being first.

0:18:49 > 0:18:52She splats her rock halfway out from the bull's-eye.

0:18:52 > 0:18:55It's a solid start but she needs to improve

0:18:55 > 0:18:57if she wants to triumph here.

0:18:57 > 0:18:59It's time for Natty's second attempt.

0:18:59 > 0:19:02I hope her confidence is going to be building.

0:19:02 > 0:19:04She looks properly focused this time.

0:19:04 > 0:19:08She's really concentrating on the target and she's off.

0:19:08 > 0:19:10What a swing! And what a shot.

0:19:12 > 0:19:13Bull's-eye.

0:19:13 > 0:19:18Yes, Myleene, it was a bull's-eye but it did not properly splat.

0:19:18 > 0:19:19Bad news.

0:19:19 > 0:19:22So Natty's got her aim in. Now can she match it

0:19:22 > 0:19:26with an even more forceful throw on her third and final go?

0:19:26 > 0:19:29- Come on, Natty. - All nervousness seems to have past.

0:19:29 > 0:19:35Natty's just calmly taking a last look at the target before launch.

0:19:35 > 0:19:39She is running out and it is a confident jump.

0:19:39 > 0:19:40- Oh, yes!- GIRLS: Whoo!

0:19:42 > 0:19:44I am a bit freaked out by heights

0:19:44 > 0:19:48and I was really happy with myself on the Island Challenge

0:19:48 > 0:19:51because before I came to Scorpion Island I was like,

0:19:51 > 0:19:52"I'll never jump off anything,

0:19:52 > 0:19:55"I'll never bungee jump,"

0:19:55 > 0:19:57and I actually jumped off a high platform

0:19:57 > 0:19:59so I was proud of myself for that.

0:19:59 > 0:20:02And you should be proud of yourself, Natty.

0:20:02 > 0:20:06Throw one was safely on the target. Throw two was a bull's-eye,

0:20:06 > 0:20:10just not forceful enough to properly splat but everything came together

0:20:10 > 0:20:14for throw three which splatted right in the dead centre of the target.

0:20:14 > 0:20:17It was a terrific shot but has she done enough to guarantee

0:20:17 > 0:20:19she's going to be a captain?

0:20:19 > 0:20:22It certainly sounds like she hopes so.

0:20:22 > 0:20:24I'd really like to be captain, it'd be so cool.

0:20:24 > 0:20:28- Now it's Eleanor's turn. Eleanor, are you ready?- Yes.

0:20:28 > 0:20:31- Nervous?- No.

0:20:31 > 0:20:33- Pretty confident?- Yes! - That's my girl. Ready?

0:20:33 > 0:20:37- Yes.- Three, two, one, off you go.

0:20:37 > 0:20:42And this is a really enthusiastic launch and now the throw.

0:20:42 > 0:20:45That was Eleanor's first go.

0:20:45 > 0:20:47Didn't splat but she's got two left to go.

0:20:47 > 0:20:50Eleanor seemed like she really enjoyed this swing

0:20:50 > 0:20:53but was wriggling around too much to get her aim straight.

0:20:53 > 0:20:57Not only that, but she didn't put enough force behind the rock

0:20:57 > 0:20:58for it to splat.

0:20:58 > 0:21:02So has all this taught her enough to make her second go count?

0:21:02 > 0:21:06She is looking really purposeful now and here she goes again.

0:21:06 > 0:21:10Oh, no, she's caught her foot that's put her in a right spin

0:21:10 > 0:21:12still she's oooh... Over the target.

0:21:12 > 0:21:14Well, Eleanor's laughing now

0:21:14 > 0:21:17but this was not the go she was looking for.

0:21:17 > 0:21:20It went wrong right at the start as she let one of her feet

0:21:20 > 0:21:24drag on the launch platform, which spun her out of control.

0:21:24 > 0:21:27She did well even to hurl a rock in the right direction

0:21:27 > 0:21:29but as she didn't even hit the target

0:21:29 > 0:21:33it now means everything rests on her last throw.

0:21:34 > 0:21:37OK, Eleanor, hit the target this time.

0:21:37 > 0:21:38- I'll try.- OK.

0:21:38 > 0:21:42Here we go. Third and final go for Eleanor.

0:21:42 > 0:21:45And here's the shot. Oh!

0:21:45 > 0:21:47How did that happen?

0:21:47 > 0:21:50Eleanor DID hit the target but her stone didn't splat.

0:21:50 > 0:21:52She didn't throw it hard enough, unfortunately.

0:21:52 > 0:21:56And it wasn't the most fortunate of turns for Eleanor over all.

0:21:56 > 0:22:00Her first throw hit just on the edge of the target.

0:22:00 > 0:22:02She entirely missed with her second.

0:22:02 > 0:22:05Her third was only slightly nearer the centre than her first.

0:22:05 > 0:22:09But with no splats whatsoever it's a cert that Eleanor

0:22:09 > 0:22:12won't be one of the first leaders of Sting or Claw. Bad luck for her.

0:22:14 > 0:22:15I'm quite disappointed

0:22:15 > 0:22:17at not being captain and choosing my team.

0:22:17 > 0:22:20I hope some people think I'm good at stuff and pick me.

0:22:20 > 0:22:24Everybody has a challenge they're not good at and this was mine.

0:22:25 > 0:22:29Next up, it's Lizzie. Can she do better than Eleanor

0:22:29 > 0:22:31and give Natty a real run for her money?

0:22:31 > 0:22:33Remember, in Moving Target we saw her

0:22:33 > 0:22:37demonstrate amazing throwing skills and we discovered

0:22:37 > 0:22:39that she had a strong ball game background.

0:22:39 > 0:22:43Where did that throwing action come from?

0:22:43 > 0:22:46When I was younger I used to play softball and baseball.

0:22:46 > 0:22:49So what can she do here?

0:22:49 > 0:22:52- Lizzie, are you ready?- Yeah.

0:22:52 > 0:22:57OK, here we go. Three, two, one, go.

0:22:57 > 0:23:01That's a confident launch, she's keeping a very straight line

0:23:01 > 0:23:03and she's gone for the throw. Oh, wow.

0:23:03 > 0:23:07First strike hit the target, however, the rock didn't splatter.

0:23:07 > 0:23:09And that's a real shame

0:23:09 > 0:23:12because this was a remarkable opening throw,

0:23:12 > 0:23:17only marginally further from the centre than Natty's third shot

0:23:17 > 0:23:19but Lizzie's still got two more attempts

0:23:19 > 0:23:22at throwing harder and even more accurately

0:23:22 > 0:23:24to be in with a chance of nabbing the captaincy.

0:23:24 > 0:23:26Can she make them count?

0:23:26 > 0:23:31OK, Lizzie. Three, two, one. Off you go.

0:23:33 > 0:23:37A really good run up this time. Could this be lucky for her?

0:23:37 > 0:23:39Oh, great splat but no.

0:23:39 > 0:23:43Well, Lizzie throws with much more power this time

0:23:43 > 0:23:46but sadly she doesn't hit the bull's-eye.

0:23:46 > 0:23:48Still it's the second closest splat so far.

0:23:48 > 0:23:50Can she do better with her last throw?

0:23:50 > 0:23:55Here we go. Lizzie's third and final go.

0:23:55 > 0:23:59So this is a last chance to challenge Natty's lead.

0:23:59 > 0:24:01Three, two, one, go.

0:24:03 > 0:24:08Another energetic launch. Very steady in the air and...ohh!

0:24:11 > 0:24:15This was an impressive and amazingly consistent turn from Lizzie

0:24:15 > 0:24:17and she showed no signs

0:24:17 > 0:24:20of being remotely troubled by swinging through the air

0:24:20 > 0:24:22higher than a double-decker bus.

0:24:22 > 0:24:25Her first throw hit the bull's-eye but didn't splat.

0:24:25 > 0:24:28Her second splatted but was a little off-centre

0:24:28 > 0:24:31and her third splatted even closer to the middle.

0:24:31 > 0:24:35However, neither of her splats beat Natty's best shot

0:24:35 > 0:24:37and so at this stage she's still in the zone

0:24:37 > 0:24:41to be one of the first captains and maybe even take the silver crab too.

0:24:41 > 0:24:45Plus it means if Jeremy and Khadie are going to be contenders

0:24:45 > 0:24:48they've absolutely got to shoot for bull's-eyes.

0:24:48 > 0:24:53- OK, Jeremy, are you ready?- Ready.

0:24:53 > 0:25:00- Ready to boss those boys around. - Uh-huh!- Three, two, one, go.

0:25:00 > 0:25:05She stepped off decisively, oh and she's swinging sideways, no!

0:25:05 > 0:25:09Jeremy's first try did hit the board however it didn't hit the target.

0:25:09 > 0:25:11She looked so confident but seemed to lose her nerve

0:25:11 > 0:25:14and threw too early, with too little control

0:25:14 > 0:25:17and too little strength to get a splat.

0:25:17 > 0:25:21Now can she keep her cool and make this second throw count?

0:25:21 > 0:25:23- You ready?- Ready!

0:25:23 > 0:25:26Three, two, one, go.

0:25:26 > 0:25:28A strong step off

0:25:28 > 0:25:30and she's keeping her eyes glued to... No!

0:25:32 > 0:25:37Jeremy seemed more focused this time and threw with enough force

0:25:37 > 0:25:38to get a quality splat

0:25:38 > 0:25:42but her aim was off and her rock hit the side of the target.

0:25:42 > 0:25:46So she needs to make her final throw count.

0:25:46 > 0:25:49Right, Jeremy, third time lucky.

0:25:49 > 0:25:53- Yes!- Three, two, one, go.

0:25:53 > 0:25:57A steady launch and she's looking so well balanced... No.

0:25:57 > 0:26:00She hit the board. It didn't splatter. It doesn't count.

0:26:00 > 0:26:04Poor Jeremy. She really did want to become team captain.

0:26:04 > 0:26:07I'm disappointed cos I didn't actually figure out

0:26:07 > 0:26:09the rock would be that hard to hit

0:26:09 > 0:26:11and when I did it twice it didn't crack

0:26:11 > 0:26:14and also my aim was completely off target.

0:26:14 > 0:26:17That's right, Jeremy, your aim was off

0:26:17 > 0:26:22so though you did achieve one splat you didn't get any on the target.

0:26:22 > 0:26:23How frustrating.

0:26:23 > 0:26:24Today really wasn't my day

0:26:24 > 0:26:27but hopefully everything will come together.

0:26:27 > 0:26:30So, Khadie is the last to swing for the girls.

0:26:30 > 0:26:33- Khadie, are you ready?- Ready.

0:26:33 > 0:26:37OK, here we go. Three, two, one, go.

0:26:37 > 0:26:41She's raced off, smooth swing. Looks like a strong throw. Ohh.

0:26:43 > 0:26:46This was a fine first throw from Khadie, it's a splat

0:26:46 > 0:26:49and it's just on the target but of course

0:26:49 > 0:26:51if she's going to challenge Natty

0:26:51 > 0:26:53she's really got to improve her aim

0:26:53 > 0:26:56and she's only got two more throws to do it.

0:26:56 > 0:26:57Time for a second swing.

0:26:57 > 0:27:02And three, two, one, off you go.

0:27:02 > 0:27:06Great speed from Khadie, and the line is true but can... Oh!

0:27:06 > 0:27:11Khadie looks set for a fantastic shot here with a strong launch

0:27:11 > 0:27:13and a poised swing but she throws too early

0:27:13 > 0:27:17and only manages to splat on the very edge of the target.

0:27:17 > 0:27:20It's further out than her first splat and that means

0:27:20 > 0:27:22there's maximum pressure on her now

0:27:22 > 0:27:25and she goes for the very last of the girl's swings.

0:27:25 > 0:27:32- Khadie, third and final time. Are you ready?- Ready.

0:27:32 > 0:27:36Three, two, one, go.

0:27:36 > 0:27:38What can she do this time?

0:27:38 > 0:27:41She's looking really determined and... Oh!

0:27:41 > 0:27:43Khadie's third and final attempt.

0:27:43 > 0:27:46It actually came pretty close to the last one.

0:27:46 > 0:27:49This was a decent performance from Khadie

0:27:49 > 0:27:52with all three of her throws achieving on-target splats.

0:27:52 > 0:27:55The last two hit exactly the same spot

0:27:55 > 0:27:58but she never splatted anywhere near the bull's-eye

0:27:58 > 0:28:00and so didn't get anywhere near victory.

0:28:00 > 0:28:03Here's what the girls thought of The Divider.

0:28:03 > 0:28:05It felt really fun.

0:28:05 > 0:28:08I was a bit nervous the first run and jump,

0:28:08 > 0:28:12but after that it got really fun, and it was pretty cool.

0:28:12 > 0:28:13My prediction would be Natty

0:28:13 > 0:28:15because she got hers right in the middle.

0:28:15 > 0:28:19In my opinion right now I think Natty's the best captain.

0:28:19 > 0:28:24It would've been nice to be captain but I don't think it'll be me.

0:28:24 > 0:28:27You're right, Khadie, it won't be you,

0:28:27 > 0:28:30but you weren't the furthest away from it either.

0:28:30 > 0:28:32Eleanor didn't manage to get any splats at all

0:28:32 > 0:28:36and Jeremy only splatted outside of the target.

0:28:36 > 0:28:39Khadie did splat on the target but only right on the edge.

0:28:39 > 0:28:42Lizzie splatted really near the centre of the target,

0:28:42 > 0:28:45but the clear winner, with an extraordinary splat

0:28:45 > 0:28:48right in the middle of the bull's-eye, was Natty.

0:28:49 > 0:28:52She'll be the first captain of Sting or Claw

0:28:52 > 0:28:54and will get to pick the rest of the team

0:28:54 > 0:28:56but has she also done well enough

0:28:56 > 0:28:59to beat the boys and win the latest island treasure, the silver crab?

0:28:59 > 0:29:02We'll have to wait and see.

0:29:02 > 0:29:05But right now we can find out what the girls felt about the Divider.

0:29:05 > 0:29:07Girls, that was brilliant,

0:29:07 > 0:29:09- looked like you had the time of your life.- Awesome.

0:29:09 > 0:29:13- I didn't do very well cos I didn't hit the board.- But I enjoyed it.

0:29:13 > 0:29:15All will be revealed later.

0:29:15 > 0:29:17I want to find out who do you think's won?

0:29:17 > 0:29:19Natty or Lizzie.

0:29:19 > 0:29:21OK. How do you think the boys are going to do?

0:29:21 > 0:29:23- I think they're good. - Do you?- Yeah.

0:29:23 > 0:29:27I feel they're going to enjoy flying in the air so much

0:29:27 > 0:29:30they'll go, oops, there's the board.

0:29:30 > 0:29:33- It's going to be close between the boys?- Yeah.

0:29:33 > 0:29:35- The boys are going to do well? - Uh-huh.

0:29:35 > 0:29:38Well the boys are about to play so we'll find out very shortly.

0:29:38 > 0:29:39Still to come...

0:29:39 > 0:29:43the boys compete against each other but have they got what it takes?

0:29:43 > 0:29:44Feeling confident?

0:29:44 > 0:29:46Erm...yeah.

0:29:46 > 0:29:48Erm...OK.

0:29:49 > 0:29:53As they face the island alone the pressure is mounting.

0:29:53 > 0:29:57I'm feeling nervous, yeah, because I really want to be captain.

0:29:57 > 0:30:00I have pretty good hand-eye co-ordination.

0:30:00 > 0:30:03Hopefully I can, you know, pull out the big guns.

0:30:03 > 0:30:07But their overwhelming competitive spirit goes one step too far.

0:30:07 > 0:30:09I crushed them slightly

0:30:09 > 0:30:13in my hand so that when I throw them they'd easily crash.

0:30:15 > 0:30:18The island has told us

0:30:18 > 0:30:21that some of you were seen poking your fingers into the rocks

0:30:21 > 0:30:26to try and help them splat, giving you an unfair advantage.

0:30:30 > 0:30:32The girls have faced the Island Challenge

0:30:32 > 0:30:34and before they're split apart

0:30:34 > 0:30:37they want to mark their last day together.

0:30:39 > 0:30:41We're going to touch up the paint a bit

0:30:41 > 0:30:43and make it look really pretty.

0:30:43 > 0:30:48Maybe collect some wild flowers and make a sort of formation on the table

0:30:48 > 0:30:51just to really show that this was the girl's camp.

0:30:51 > 0:30:54The boys, meanwhile, have a very different plan.

0:30:54 > 0:30:57It's the last day of boys and girls and of course I'm captain.

0:30:57 > 0:31:00So I thought we'd make something special to finish it off.

0:31:00 > 0:31:04I was thinking something like a boat?

0:31:04 > 0:31:08What, and we'll sail it on there? Our little river down there.

0:31:09 > 0:31:12We're building a boat, cos we live at the river camp

0:31:12 > 0:31:15and it's our last day together.

0:31:15 > 0:31:19We use bottles, sticks, leaves

0:31:19 > 0:31:21and we need water, obviously, for it to float.

0:31:22 > 0:31:25Natty may be the current captain of the girls,

0:31:25 > 0:31:29but she also wants to lead a different team altogether.

0:31:29 > 0:31:32I would feel, like, really amazing if I was chosen to be

0:31:32 > 0:31:35the first captain of Sting or Claw.

0:31:35 > 0:31:38I'd be so happy. I'd just feel elated.

0:31:38 > 0:31:42I would try and lead our team to victory

0:31:42 > 0:31:46and just be a captain that everyone could just put their trust in

0:31:46 > 0:31:48and know that I won't let them down.

0:31:48 > 0:31:52But it's not just Natty with her eye on the ultimate prize.

0:31:52 > 0:31:54It would be

0:31:54 > 0:31:58amazing if I could be the very first captain

0:31:58 > 0:32:00for Sting or Claw.

0:32:00 > 0:32:03I really, really want to be captain,

0:32:03 > 0:32:08because it's just such an honour. I was the first captain for the boys

0:32:08 > 0:32:10EVER on Scorpion Island

0:32:10 > 0:32:14and I want to be the first captain for Sting or Claw on the island.

0:32:14 > 0:32:19The triumphant team captains will have to pick who's in Sting and Claw

0:32:19 > 0:32:23and some adventurers know who they'd like to be in a team with.

0:32:23 > 0:32:25My first choice for the boys

0:32:25 > 0:32:29would be James, because he's a very good swimmer.

0:32:29 > 0:32:34And for the girls, it would probably be Natty,

0:32:34 > 0:32:38because she's very good with her aim and target.

0:32:40 > 0:32:45I would pick Lizzie, if I could,

0:32:45 > 0:32:48because Lizzie has quite a lot of skills

0:32:48 > 0:32:53and to have some girls mixed in with some boys

0:32:53 > 0:32:57I think would be a really nice experience,

0:32:57 > 0:33:02because girls have a great brain, whilst boys are very physical.

0:33:02 > 0:33:05But before Jordan can take on The Divider,

0:33:05 > 0:33:07there's one last thing he must do.

0:33:07 > 0:33:14I think this is a great opportunity to say goodbye to the boy's team

0:33:14 > 0:33:17- ..and the girl's team.- Yeah, and represent...- Sting and Claw.- Yeah.

0:33:17 > 0:33:19- A new beginning.- Yeah.

0:33:19 > 0:33:25- Let's launch... - ALL: Bessie- ..into the water.

0:33:25 > 0:33:29See if it floats. Goodbye. We should bless it.

0:33:29 > 0:33:32QUEEN-ESQUE: God bless that ship and all who sail on it.

0:33:32 > 0:33:33God bless it.

0:33:33 > 0:33:35THEY LAUGH

0:33:35 > 0:33:38Scorpion Island is ever treacherous

0:33:38 > 0:33:41and even Bessie has a bumpy ride on her maiden voyage.

0:33:41 > 0:33:44Let's hope the boys have a smoother time

0:33:44 > 0:33:47when they face the island alone in the Island Challenge.

0:33:51 > 0:33:53Next up, it's the boys.

0:33:53 > 0:33:55That's Dilhan,

0:33:55 > 0:33:57Zack,

0:33:57 > 0:33:59Jordan,

0:33:59 > 0:34:00Peter

0:34:00 > 0:34:02and today's captain, James.

0:34:07 > 0:34:10The girls have already taken on The Divider.

0:34:10 > 0:34:13In a clearing in the jungle, they each had three swings

0:34:13 > 0:34:17at a giant target suspended seven metres up

0:34:17 > 0:34:20and with each swing, they had to throw a paint-filled rock

0:34:20 > 0:34:22as close to the centre as possible.

0:34:23 > 0:34:26The stakes were as high as their swings,

0:34:26 > 0:34:29because the girl who splattered nearest the bull's-eye

0:34:29 > 0:34:32will join the most successful of the boys as the first captains,

0:34:32 > 0:34:35when the island brings back Sting and Claw.

0:34:35 > 0:34:38Plus, the adventurer who throws the best splat overall,

0:34:38 > 0:34:41will also win the latest island treasure, the silver crab.

0:34:44 > 0:34:47Despite some misfires and some problems hurling the rocks

0:34:47 > 0:34:51hard enough so that they splattered, the girls did generally do well,

0:34:51 > 0:34:54proving it's not size, but skill, that counts here.

0:34:54 > 0:34:57And with an incredible splat, right in the bull's-eye,

0:34:57 > 0:34:59it was Natty who came out on top.

0:35:03 > 0:35:06She'll captain Sting or Claw, but we don't know

0:35:06 > 0:35:10if she'll also be taking the silver crab, until the boys have played.

0:35:10 > 0:35:14And as they won the memory trial, The Fortune Hunter

0:35:14 > 0:35:16has rewarded them with an advantage here

0:35:16 > 0:35:20and they're about to find out it's a really unusual one.

0:35:20 > 0:35:23An extra swing, but only for one of their team-mates.

0:35:23 > 0:35:28Could this make all the difference and who will conquer The Divider?

0:35:28 > 0:35:30- Hello, boys, how are you doing? - ALL: Good.

0:35:30 > 0:35:34Good? Excellent. As you know, this morning, during the memory trial

0:35:34 > 0:35:36you boys won it by default.

0:35:36 > 0:35:41As a result of this, in addition to the three throws each of you get,

0:35:41 > 0:35:44one of you will get an extra throw.

0:35:45 > 0:35:48However, who gets that extra throw will be decided

0:35:48 > 0:35:50between the five of you.

0:35:50 > 0:35:54I want you to now talk and decide who deserves that extra throw

0:35:54 > 0:35:59and an extra shot at being the captain of either Sting or Claw.

0:36:04 > 0:36:08- Who is the worst thrower here? - Jordan. Give it to Jordan.

0:36:08 > 0:36:11- OK.- I don't mind if you want to give it to anybody else.

0:36:11 > 0:36:13Shall we have a vote?

0:36:13 > 0:36:18Put your hands in the middle to vote for Jordan.

0:36:18 > 0:36:20Jordan it is then.

0:36:20 > 0:36:23OK, that seemed pretty conclusive.

0:36:23 > 0:36:26- Just to confirm, who have you voted for?- Jordan.

0:36:26 > 0:36:28Can I ask why you voted for Jordan?

0:36:28 > 0:36:32Because Jordan says he can't throw as well and it's his weakness.

0:36:32 > 0:36:36So we need to develop on that weakness and give him an extra shot

0:36:36 > 0:36:38and I think he'll use it wisely

0:36:38 > 0:36:42and if he is the captain, I don't mind, because he is perfect for it.

0:36:42 > 0:36:45That's very nice. Very democratic.

0:36:45 > 0:36:47Hands up who doesn't want to be captain?

0:36:47 > 0:36:51Tell me then, why you all want to be captain? James, start with you.

0:36:51 > 0:36:54I want to be captain cos I think I'll be a good one

0:36:54 > 0:36:57and I would help everyone as much as I could.

0:36:57 > 0:36:58OK, very good. Peter.

0:36:58 > 0:37:03I really want to be captain because I want to start off the team

0:37:03 > 0:37:06and give them a good start and hopefully win.

0:37:06 > 0:37:09Fantastic. What about you, Zack? Why do you want to be captain?

0:37:09 > 0:37:12Cos I was the first captain for the boys,

0:37:12 > 0:37:16and I want to be the first captain of Sting or Claw,

0:37:16 > 0:37:19and I really would like to win and lead my team to victory.

0:37:19 > 0:37:21Dylan, why do you want to be captain?

0:37:21 > 0:37:25I just want to, you know, start the team off on the right leg.

0:37:25 > 0:37:30Jordan, how do you feel? The team have voted you get the fourth throw.

0:37:30 > 0:37:36I feel it's a pleasure because I want to be a captain,

0:37:36 > 0:37:39to bring peace and harmony to the camp.

0:37:39 > 0:37:42OK, Jordan wants to bring peace and harmony to you all. Jordan,

0:37:42 > 0:37:46with the fourth throw you might just get that chance. We shall find out.

0:37:49 > 0:37:52So, now it's the boys turn and James is up first.

0:37:52 > 0:37:56Meanwhile, the rest of the boys will be watching on.

0:37:56 > 0:37:58- James, are you ready?- Ready.

0:37:58 > 0:38:01- Feeling confident?- Um, yeah.

0:38:01 > 0:38:04Um, OK. Are you ready?

0:38:04 > 0:38:09Three, two, one, off you go.

0:38:09 > 0:38:14James' first swing and he's going for the throw. Looks good... Oh!

0:38:14 > 0:38:16It didn't break.

0:38:16 > 0:38:20And that's bad news for James because only splats count here.

0:38:20 > 0:38:23So, although this one hit the target really close to the bull's-eye,

0:38:23 > 0:38:28it's a wasted throw. Can he give it more power next time?

0:38:28 > 0:38:32- Are you ready?- Yeah. - Three, two, one, go.

0:38:32 > 0:38:36This looks like a much more confident launch.

0:38:36 > 0:38:39- This is a great pace... Oh, dear. - No!

0:38:39 > 0:38:41- It didn't break. - They're not breaking.

0:38:41 > 0:38:45The rest of the boys are sounding worried but this challenge

0:38:45 > 0:38:49requires force as well as accuracy and sadly James had neither here,

0:38:49 > 0:38:52with his rock not only failing to splat,

0:38:52 > 0:38:55but also hitting the board outside the target.

0:38:55 > 0:38:59So, if he's going to have any chance of being one of the first

0:38:59 > 0:39:01captains of Sting or Claw

0:39:01 > 0:39:04he needs to pull something spectacular out of the bag

0:39:04 > 0:39:05with his last throw.

0:39:05 > 0:39:08- James, are you ready?- Yeah!

0:39:08 > 0:39:11Take your time and hurl that rock.

0:39:11 > 0:39:14Three, two, one, go.

0:39:14 > 0:39:20- This is another really quick leap. He's going for the throw...- No!

0:39:20 > 0:39:22Well, that means I'm not captain.

0:39:22 > 0:39:24The third and final try there from James.

0:39:24 > 0:39:27He did hit the board, however, the rock didn't splatter.

0:39:27 > 0:39:30I thought it would break straight away but it didn't.

0:39:30 > 0:39:33I was really throwing it on the third one and it just didn't break at all.

0:39:33 > 0:39:37What's worse, your first two throws didn't splat either,

0:39:37 > 0:39:39which really troubled your team-mates.

0:39:39 > 0:39:43I can't hit them any harder than James.

0:39:43 > 0:39:46James' second throw was off target

0:39:46 > 0:39:49and his third hit just on the edge of the target,

0:39:49 > 0:39:51but his first was the most unlucky for him

0:39:51 > 0:39:53as it was so close to the bull's-eye.

0:39:53 > 0:39:57If it had splatted he would be in an extremely strong position here.

0:39:57 > 0:40:00As it stands, he knows the captaincy has slipped away.

0:40:00 > 0:40:02I would've loved the opportunity

0:40:02 > 0:40:05but it doesn't really matter now. It's over and done with.

0:40:05 > 0:40:08My friends, I hope, will pick me so I don't really mind.

0:40:08 > 0:40:12Right, Zack's up next. Let's see what his tactics are like.

0:40:12 > 0:40:17- Zack, are you ready?- Yeah! - Three, two, one, go.

0:40:19 > 0:40:23- But will it be a good throw? - BOYS: Ooh.- Not bad.

0:40:24 > 0:40:27So, this was a solid first throw from Zack.

0:40:27 > 0:40:30It hit on target and just as importantly, it was a splat.

0:40:30 > 0:40:33Now, can he get nearer the bull's-eye?

0:40:33 > 0:40:34It's Zack's second attempt.

0:40:34 > 0:40:38Let's see if he gives that target a real pelt. OK, Zack, here we go.

0:40:38 > 0:40:42Three, two, one, go.

0:40:42 > 0:40:47He's running off the edge here, keeping his eyes on the target.

0:40:47 > 0:40:49Wow! Another splat.

0:40:49 > 0:40:52I threw it that hard and it wouldn't break.

0:40:52 > 0:40:56James sounds outraged but it seems Zack must be doing something here

0:40:56 > 0:40:58because that's two for two

0:40:58 > 0:41:01and this one splatted really close to the bull's-eye.

0:41:01 > 0:41:05Can he get even nearer the centre with his last throw?

0:41:05 > 0:41:07The third and final attempt here for Zack.

0:41:07 > 0:41:09He was the team captain on the very first day

0:41:09 > 0:41:13and he certainly wants to be team captain again. Are you ready, Zack?

0:41:13 > 0:41:17- Yes!- Three, two, one, go.

0:41:18 > 0:41:23Not such a strong leap this time and it's a slower swing too. No.

0:41:23 > 0:41:27The third rock didn't break, however, other two did, which means

0:41:27 > 0:41:31Zack is in with a really good chance of being the first captain.

0:41:31 > 0:41:34Being captain means so much to me

0:41:34 > 0:41:37because if I was the captain I would do it right this time.

0:41:37 > 0:41:40Last time, I made a few mistakes when I was captain.

0:41:40 > 0:41:44But you didn't make many mistakes here, Zack.

0:41:44 > 0:41:48All of your throws hit the target and the first two were proper splats

0:41:48 > 0:41:50and remember, James didn't get a single splat.

0:41:50 > 0:41:54I'm surprised James didn't get any. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't.

0:41:54 > 0:41:57But I'm very surprised, I thought he was stronger.

0:41:57 > 0:41:59Well, Zack, that's what you said to camera

0:41:59 > 0:42:02but the island is all-seeing and nothing gets past it.

0:42:02 > 0:42:07James, I crushed them slightly in my hand

0:42:07 > 0:42:09so that when I throw them they'd easily crash.

0:42:09 > 0:42:13What will the island have to say about this? We'll find out later.

0:42:13 > 0:42:18For now, it's left Zack in pole position to be one of the captains

0:42:18 > 0:42:22with his second splat being so close to the bull's-eye.

0:42:22 > 0:42:23But, of course,

0:42:23 > 0:42:28with three boys left to swing, everything could still change.

0:42:28 > 0:42:32Now, Peter said he really wanted to be captain.

0:42:32 > 0:42:34Well, to be captain for Sting or Claw

0:42:34 > 0:42:38I think would be an amazing opportunity

0:42:38 > 0:42:41and would give me the confidence and the power

0:42:41 > 0:42:46to believe in myself and hopefully escape and be victorious in the end.

0:42:46 > 0:42:49So, let's see if he can make that a reality.

0:42:49 > 0:42:52He's up next. Peter, are you ready?

0:42:52 > 0:42:55- Ready!- Feeling confident and focused?

0:42:55 > 0:42:57- Yes.- That's the spirit, good man.

0:42:57 > 0:43:01Three, two, one, go.

0:43:01 > 0:43:04Strong positive launch here, all ready to throw.

0:43:04 > 0:43:07Oh, yes! A great green splat there.

0:43:07 > 0:43:09A good start for Peter.

0:43:09 > 0:43:13He swung fearlessly and managed to get an on-target splat.

0:43:13 > 0:43:15He just needs to get nearer the centre

0:43:15 > 0:43:18if he's going to beat Zack. Can he do it?

0:43:18 > 0:43:24- OK, Peter, are you ready?- Ready. - Three, two, one, go.

0:43:24 > 0:43:29Terrific running leap from Peter here and it's another early... Oh!

0:43:29 > 0:43:33Woah! Peter proved you have to pelt it pretty powerfully.

0:43:33 > 0:43:36And it got him his second splat in a row.

0:43:36 > 0:43:39In almost exactly the same spot as his first.

0:43:39 > 0:43:41So, it's incredibly consistent work

0:43:41 > 0:43:46but he really needs to break out of this pattern with his final throw.

0:43:46 > 0:43:48Peter seems so determined here.

0:43:48 > 0:43:52He looks like he is willing this last rock to find the bull's-eye.

0:43:52 > 0:43:54Can he make it happen?

0:43:54 > 0:43:58Three, two, one, go.

0:43:58 > 0:44:01Another really great leap. He is swinging sideways.

0:44:01 > 0:44:03And ready to drop... Ooohhh!

0:44:03 > 0:44:07This was Peter's closest hit yet and his third splat in a row,

0:44:07 > 0:44:10so this was a sound performance overall.

0:44:10 > 0:44:15But none of his splats were as close to the centre as Zack got.

0:44:15 > 0:44:17It means Peter must wave goodbye to his dreams

0:44:17 > 0:44:21of being the first leader of Sting or Claw.

0:44:21 > 0:44:24- Now time for Dilhan. - And he's extremely confident.

0:44:24 > 0:44:27It doesn't look like the other boys succeeded, you know,

0:44:27 > 0:44:31but hopefully I can pull out the big guns.

0:44:31 > 0:44:33- Dilhan, are you ready?- Ready!

0:44:33 > 0:44:36Three, two, one, go.

0:44:36 > 0:44:39He's really thrown himself into this one.

0:44:39 > 0:44:44Oh, dear! This was not the start Dilhan wanted.

0:44:44 > 0:44:49He seems to have a strong swing but then managed to entirely misthrow,

0:44:49 > 0:44:51sending his rock flying below the board.

0:44:51 > 0:44:53He's got two throws left to get his act together.

0:44:53 > 0:44:57Right, let's just hope he's learnt from his first attempt.

0:44:57 > 0:44:58He has to hit the board this time.

0:44:58 > 0:45:00Dilhan. Three,

0:45:00 > 0:45:03two, one, go.

0:45:03 > 0:45:09He properly got out on the swing this time, looking so good. Yes!

0:45:09 > 0:45:11Good stuff. This was a much more controlled throw,

0:45:11 > 0:45:16which not only hit the target but was a proper splat too.

0:45:16 > 0:45:18With his last swing, can he get nearer the bull's-eye

0:45:18 > 0:45:21and put the pressure on Zack?

0:45:21 > 0:45:23Third and final for Dilhan, here we go.

0:45:23 > 0:45:27Dilhan. Three, two, one, go.

0:45:28 > 0:45:32Another full-on launch from Dilhan but it looks like an early... Oh!

0:45:32 > 0:45:36Well, Dilhan does manage a second splat on the edge of the target

0:45:36 > 0:45:39but it's further from the centre than his second throw

0:45:39 > 0:45:43and neither were anywhere near as close to the bull's-eye as Zack's.

0:45:43 > 0:45:46It looks like Zack's still in line to be one of the first captains

0:45:46 > 0:45:50unless Jordan can pull off something incredible.

0:45:50 > 0:45:54Remember, the team decided that Jordan wasn't the strongest thrower,

0:45:54 > 0:45:58so they gave him the fourth go. Is he going to prove them all wrong?

0:45:58 > 0:46:02- Jordan, are you ready?- Ready.

0:46:02 > 0:46:04- Are you focused?- Yes.

0:46:04 > 0:46:09Three, two, one, go.

0:46:09 > 0:46:13A careful first swing and he's going for the throw... Oh!

0:46:14 > 0:46:19Yes, James, it did but it only hit the bottom edge of the target.

0:46:19 > 0:46:22Of course, Jordan's still got three more throws.

0:46:22 > 0:46:24Can he make the most of having an extra turn

0:46:24 > 0:46:26and get some real smash hits here?

0:46:27 > 0:46:31Jordan seems to be psyching himself up, toying with the rock

0:46:31 > 0:46:34and getting ready for a second swing.

0:46:34 > 0:46:39Three, two, one, go.

0:46:39 > 0:46:43Wow, an athletic launch but he's swinging backwards. Ohh!

0:46:45 > 0:46:47Jordan did not make this easy for himself.

0:46:47 > 0:46:50A throw from a backwards swing was obviously going to be tough

0:46:50 > 0:46:53and so he did well, even to hit the target.

0:46:53 > 0:46:55He struck just where Peter had his second rock

0:46:55 > 0:46:58but unlike Peter, didn't get a proper splat.

0:46:58 > 0:47:00- Come on, Jordan.- Come on, mate.

0:47:00 > 0:47:04So he's got to get a better splat this time.

0:47:04 > 0:47:07Hang on, is he trying a similar tactic to Zack's?

0:47:07 > 0:47:11He's poking his finger into the rock to ensure the paint comes out.

0:47:17 > 0:47:20Am I allowed to do that?

0:47:21 > 0:47:25Well, I've done it. Oops.

0:47:25 > 0:47:29- Don't think the island hasn't noticed.- Jordan, focus.

0:47:29 > 0:47:32- Are you ready?- Ready!

0:47:32 > 0:47:35Three, two, one, go.

0:47:35 > 0:47:41A neater launch this time and he's keeping a straighter line. Yes!

0:47:41 > 0:47:45The finger in rock plan combined with a more controlled swing here

0:47:45 > 0:47:50to get Jordan an on target splat, even from a relatively weak throw.

0:47:50 > 0:47:53So it was good but not a lead-grabbing effort.

0:47:53 > 0:47:55Nonetheless, Zack still seems fretful.

0:47:55 > 0:48:01I'm feeling nervous, yeah, because I really want to be captain

0:48:01 > 0:48:03and I'm the closest so far,

0:48:03 > 0:48:07but you never know what Jordan can do till he's done it.

0:48:07 > 0:48:11And we are about to find out what he can do with his last rock.

0:48:11 > 0:48:14This is now Jordan's fourth and final attempt.

0:48:14 > 0:48:17He wants to bring peace and harmony to his team as captain.

0:48:17 > 0:48:18Will he be able to do it?

0:48:18 > 0:48:24- Jordan, last attempt. Are you ready? - Ready.- Good man.

0:48:24 > 0:48:28I can't wait to see this one. If he hits the bull's-eye I am doomed.

0:48:28 > 0:48:29If he doesn't...

0:48:29 > 0:48:31I am definitely not being captain.

0:48:31 > 0:48:35Three, two, one, go.

0:48:35 > 0:48:38A really full-on launch, swinging smoothly

0:48:38 > 0:48:41but this is a really late throw. Oh. Oh!

0:48:43 > 0:48:47Jordan doesn't manage a splat but, bizarrely,

0:48:47 > 0:48:49does manage to catch his rock on the rebound.

0:48:49 > 0:48:53It's impressive but it doesn't earn him any bonus points.

0:48:53 > 0:48:56So how was The Divider for the boys?

0:48:56 > 0:48:58I was really disappointed with my throws

0:48:58 > 0:49:01but when I saw James, when he tried to throw it,

0:49:01 > 0:49:05none of them cracked and I found that funny

0:49:05 > 0:49:09because I gave my first shot and it cracked straight open.

0:49:09 > 0:49:11It would've been quite cool if I'd been captain

0:49:11 > 0:49:13but it doesn't really matter.

0:49:13 > 0:49:16I think I didn't do it too well,

0:49:16 > 0:49:18because Zack got closer to the middle.

0:49:21 > 0:49:24- So, well done, boys. Did you enjoy The Divider?- ALL: Yes.

0:49:24 > 0:49:26- Good fun?- ALL: Yeah.

0:49:26 > 0:49:31- How do you think you all did? - Not good.- Really?

0:49:31 > 0:49:34- I think I did OK. - You think you did well?- Yeah, I do.

0:49:34 > 0:49:36Is it hard to tell, though?

0:49:36 > 0:49:40Yeah. I didn't see what the girls were doing, so I was like "Hmm."

0:49:40 > 0:49:43This is true. What did you find the hardest bit of the whole task?

0:49:43 > 0:49:47Cracking them open on the board and throwing them so hard.

0:49:47 > 0:49:49- I had a bit of a technique. - What was that?

0:49:49 > 0:49:53Don't crush them all the way so it's bleeding out of your hand,

0:49:53 > 0:49:57just loosen the rock a bit and then woochaa!

0:49:57 > 0:50:00And remember, it's not the first time the island's heard you

0:50:00 > 0:50:03talking about this approach.

0:50:03 > 0:50:05I crushed them slightly in my hand,

0:50:05 > 0:50:07so when I throw them they'd easily crash.

0:50:07 > 0:50:10And it saw Jordan putting this into practice.

0:50:10 > 0:50:14Am I allowed to do that? I've done it.

0:50:14 > 0:50:16This technique naturally gave some of the adventurers

0:50:16 > 0:50:20a massive advantage over the others.

0:50:20 > 0:50:24But the island needs games to be played on a level playing field,

0:50:24 > 0:50:27especially games with as much riding on them as this one.

0:50:29 > 0:50:32So in an effort to restore fairness, it has decided

0:50:32 > 0:50:37to reassess all of the throws and judge the adventurers on their aim.

0:50:37 > 0:50:40Splats now become irrelevant and what counts

0:50:40 > 0:50:42is each rock's point of impact.

0:50:44 > 0:50:47This doesn't really alter the girls' results.

0:50:47 > 0:50:51Natty still reigns triumphant, with Lizzie second and Khadie third,

0:50:51 > 0:50:54but it does mean Eleanor, who went entirely splatless,

0:50:54 > 0:50:57does knock Jeremy into last place.

0:50:57 > 0:51:00However, going from splats to points of impact

0:51:00 > 0:51:03has a radical effect on the boys' results.

0:51:03 > 0:51:07As it brings James, who, like Eleanor, got no splats whatsoever,

0:51:07 > 0:51:11all the way from last place right up into first place.

0:51:11 > 0:51:14Leaving Zack, Peter, Jordan and Dilhan trailing behind.

0:51:16 > 0:51:20And so, in bringing fairness back the island has caused it to be

0:51:20 > 0:51:24James rather than Zack who will captain Sting or Claw opposite Natty

0:51:24 > 0:51:28and because her bang on the bull's-eye splat

0:51:28 > 0:51:30was the best shot of all,

0:51:30 > 0:51:33it's Natty who will take the island treasure - the silver crab.

0:51:33 > 0:51:36Great stuff and it just goes to show

0:51:36 > 0:51:39there is no hiding from the all-seeing island.

0:51:43 > 0:51:45The sun is finally setting

0:51:45 > 0:51:49at the end of an extraordinary chapter on Scorpion Island.

0:51:49 > 0:51:52For the first time in Scorpion history,

0:51:52 > 0:51:53the girls faced the boys.

0:51:55 > 0:51:58Team bonds were formed from the battle lines.

0:51:58 > 0:52:00ALL: Girls!

0:52:01 > 0:52:04And friendships forged like never before.

0:52:08 > 0:52:12But now each adventurer knows that everything they've worked towards

0:52:12 > 0:52:14is about to be ripped apart.

0:52:14 > 0:52:17If I get split up from my mates I think I might miss them

0:52:17 > 0:52:21because I've spent so long being friends with them now

0:52:21 > 0:52:24and we're all a big happy family now cos we're spent so long.

0:52:24 > 0:52:27But then the island's twisted it up

0:52:27 > 0:52:29and we've got to make friends with new people

0:52:29 > 0:52:32and so I dunno how it's going to work out.

0:52:32 > 0:52:35It should work out OK as I'm quite good at making friends,

0:52:35 > 0:52:38but I don't know until it actually happens what's going to happen.

0:52:38 > 0:52:41At the moment I'm feeling very happy in my team.

0:52:41 > 0:52:43We're all are sticking together like a big family.

0:52:43 > 0:52:45And it feels just like home.

0:52:47 > 0:52:50Everyone is thinking about who they've become close to.

0:52:50 > 0:52:52I think I get on best with Natty

0:52:52 > 0:52:56because we both have the same experience of adventure,

0:52:56 > 0:52:59we both have our little down times,

0:52:59 > 0:53:03and I find her quite similar to me so I can really relate to her.

0:53:03 > 0:53:06When I have troubles or something

0:53:06 > 0:53:09I can really talk to her in a way which I find easy.

0:53:09 > 0:53:13We're really good friends and both understand each other very well.

0:53:13 > 0:53:16At the moment on Scorpion Island

0:53:16 > 0:53:19the person I get on with the most is probably Peter.

0:53:19 > 0:53:24He's so calm, he's so funny, and he's always got a smile on his face,

0:53:24 > 0:53:26and he's really nice,

0:53:26 > 0:53:29and when you're feeling down he's always there to comfort you.

0:53:29 > 0:53:31He's a really nice guy.

0:53:34 > 0:53:36My best friend on Scorpion Island

0:53:36 > 0:53:38would be Eleanor.

0:53:38 > 0:53:41She's a really bubbly and excitable person

0:53:41 > 0:53:43and she makes everyone laugh

0:53:43 > 0:53:45and I tend not to have really best friends

0:53:45 > 0:53:48because I want to be friends with everyone.

0:53:48 > 0:53:51And just so everyone knows, everyone is my best friend.

0:53:51 > 0:53:55We are like one big best friend group.

0:53:55 > 0:53:57ALL: Expect the unexpected.

0:53:59 > 0:54:01I'm really looking forward to the island fire

0:54:01 > 0:54:03to see who will be the captains,

0:54:03 > 0:54:06and also to see what else the island has up its sleeve

0:54:06 > 0:54:09because you never know what's going to happen.

0:54:12 > 0:54:15A full moon rises in the night sky

0:54:15 > 0:54:17and finally, it's the moment of truth.

0:54:17 > 0:54:20The island is ready to reveal who will become

0:54:20 > 0:54:23the new captains of Sting and Claw.

0:54:29 > 0:54:32Hello, teams, welcome to the island fire.

0:54:32 > 0:54:36As you know, this is where all will be revealed about your mission here

0:54:36 > 0:54:41and most importantly where the island communicates with you.

0:54:41 > 0:54:44Girls, how did you find today's Island Challenge?

0:54:44 > 0:54:48I want more goes, I'd do it again.

0:54:48 > 0:54:51Boys, would you say it was as fun?

0:54:51 > 0:54:53Yeah, I felt like I was flying. It was amazing.

0:54:53 > 0:54:59Well, guys, I can now tell you that the island has told us

0:54:59 > 0:55:02that some of you were seen poking your fingers into the rocks

0:55:02 > 0:55:08to try and help them splat, giving you an unfair advantage.

0:55:09 > 0:55:15As a result of this, the scores will be based purely on the impact

0:55:15 > 0:55:17and not on the splats.

0:55:19 > 0:55:23The island is now ready to tell us who the new team captains are

0:55:23 > 0:55:26for Team Sting and for Team Claw.

0:55:29 > 0:55:34The boy and girl adventurers that hit nearest to the target are...

0:55:44 > 0:55:47- ..Natty.- Woo!

0:55:49 > 0:55:51And...

0:55:58 > 0:56:02- ..James. - Oh! I thought it would be Zack.

0:56:05 > 0:56:08Now, Natty, you hit nearest the target

0:56:08 > 0:56:12so you also get today's island treasure - the silver crab.

0:56:14 > 0:56:17Every night at the island fire,

0:56:17 > 0:56:22only one adventurer from the winning team has been awarded the treasure.

0:56:23 > 0:56:26Now, these adventurers will take their treasures with them

0:56:26 > 0:56:29to their new teams.

0:56:30 > 0:56:32Well done.

0:56:36 > 0:56:40Well, congratulations, Natty. Double win there.

0:56:40 > 0:56:43Now it's time for you to tell us which team you'd like to captain.

0:56:45 > 0:56:48I would really like to captain Sting.

0:56:48 > 0:56:50Team Sting for Natty.

0:56:50 > 0:56:53Well done, James, you will be the captain for team Claw.

0:56:53 > 0:56:55Well done, man.

0:56:55 > 0:56:57So we've got our two new team captains

0:56:57 > 0:57:01and they'll decide which adventurers they want in their teams.

0:57:01 > 0:57:04Who would you pick? You'll see the new teams next time.

0:57:04 > 0:57:07You can catch all the action online now.

0:57:07 > 0:57:10We will see you next time on Escape From Scorpion Island.

0:57:10 > 0:57:11- Bye-bye.- Bye.

0:57:11 > 0:57:17Next time on Scorpion Island, tough decisions await James and Natty

0:57:17 > 0:57:21as they must choose the rest of their team-mates one by one.

0:57:21 > 0:57:22I'm really sorry!

0:57:22 > 0:57:26And if that won't be pressure enough, they'll have to face off

0:57:26 > 0:57:29in an Island Challenge high in the tree tops.

0:57:29 > 0:57:32Who will keep their head? Who will strike first?

0:57:36 > 0:57:39And which of the captains will lead their new team to victory?

0:57:39 > 0:57:42It could only be Scorpion Island.
