0:00:03 > 0:00:05and our magicians have left school on a new mission.

0:00:07 > 0:00:09But do you think you'd recognise them

0:00:09 > 0:00:12if they were outside the classroom? Do you?

0:00:14 > 0:00:17Now's your chance, cos they're going deeper undercover,

0:00:17 > 0:00:23with new disguises, ambitious costumes and even taller tales.

0:00:23 > 0:00:26# La la la la... #

0:00:26 > 0:00:29This time, we're taking unsuspecting kids out of school,

0:00:29 > 0:00:34piling them on coaches and sending them on school trips.

0:00:34 > 0:00:37They're off to visit some amazing locations where they'll

0:00:37 > 0:00:39witness incredible magic.

0:00:39 > 0:00:41I was like... "Oh, my gosh!"

0:00:41 > 0:00:44And once again, we're hiding secret cameras in every corner

0:00:44 > 0:00:47so you don't miss a trick on any school trip.

0:00:48 > 0:00:51- The magic is bigger than ever.- Wow!

0:00:51 > 0:00:54It might be term time but school's out.

0:00:54 > 0:00:56I can't believe our teachers did that.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59How long will it take before the classes shout...

0:00:59 > 0:01:02Help! My school trip is magic!

0:01:05 > 0:01:10Hello, it's me, Ian. Welcome to Help! My School Trip Is Magic.

0:01:10 > 0:01:13Our magicians are no longer supply teachers.

0:01:13 > 0:01:17They're now gallivanting around as staff in some popular attractions,

0:01:17 > 0:01:22and because we know you know them, we've disguised them even more.

0:01:22 > 0:01:26We've secretly filmed the results with special hidden cameras.

0:01:26 > 0:01:30One of today's school trips takes place at a famous rugby ground.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33I love rugby but it can be quite a rough game.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35I got quite hurt in my last match.

0:01:36 > 0:01:40They said my boots didn't match my shorts. They were designer.

0:01:42 > 0:01:45Here's what's coming up in today's show.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50James is a head coach at the rugby stadium

0:01:50 > 0:01:55- but will Katherine be able to crank things up a notch?- Oh!

0:01:55 > 0:01:59John's got something to sucker your mates with in Tricks of the Trade.

0:02:00 > 0:02:03You've been sending in clips of all your best magic tricks

0:02:03 > 0:02:06and later on, I'll be picking my favourite.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08It's the Wannabe Wizards.

0:02:08 > 0:02:11And Fergus plays a clumsy curator at the museum,

0:02:11 > 0:02:14but will the class fall for it?

0:02:14 > 0:02:16Wow!

0:02:16 > 0:02:20Do you think you'd be able to tell if your school trip was magic?

0:02:20 > 0:02:21Do you?

0:02:23 > 0:02:26Here's James. He's the edgy one of the team.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29Hang on, this trick looks a bit flat, though.

0:02:29 > 0:02:33No filler, but don't worry. It will be a killer. Hold tight.

0:02:33 > 0:02:37Here's a card-carrying magician. That trick nearly decked me.

0:02:39 > 0:02:41And the kids are climbing on deck ready to

0:02:41 > 0:02:43set off on a school trip.

0:02:43 > 0:02:45But this is a school trip of two halves.

0:02:45 > 0:02:48The parents and teachers know it will be magic.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51The kids don't but they will end up the winners.

0:02:51 > 0:02:53They're going to have a ball.

0:02:53 > 0:02:57A funny-shaped one because they're going to the World Rugby Museum

0:02:57 > 0:03:00at the 82,000-capacity Twickenham Stadium.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03There's been a stadium here for over 100 years

0:03:03 > 0:03:07but for this match day, James needs to get his game face on,

0:03:07 > 0:03:10and game wig on, and, cos this is a team game,

0:03:10 > 0:03:13he's got Katherine to back him up as a rugby coach.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16Here comes the kids' coach, winging its way to the stadium.

0:03:16 > 0:03:20The squad on board don't know the score or realise they've been

0:03:20 > 0:03:21sold a dummy about this trip.

0:03:24 > 0:03:26James and Katherine are pitch-side

0:03:26 > 0:03:29and going through the pre-match drills.

0:03:29 > 0:03:30Oh, butter fingers!

0:03:30 > 0:03:33The kids have arrived and they're looking at the rugby

0:03:33 > 0:03:35memorabilia, including the cups and balls -

0:03:35 > 0:03:37the magicians' favourite.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41They're warmed up and raring to go. Here come the kids.

0:03:41 > 0:03:43Will James and Katherine successfully convert

0:03:43 > 0:03:48the trip into magic or will they get recognised and kicked into touch?

0:03:48 > 0:03:52Hello, everybody and welcome to the museum. You're at the stadium.

0:03:52 > 0:03:56We're very pleased to have you here today and we're very proud

0:03:56 > 0:04:00that next year, we will be hosting the 2015 World Cup.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03- Isn't that exciting?- Yes.

0:04:03 > 0:04:08But who can tell me what sport this stadium is famous for?

0:04:08 > 0:04:10- It's not a trick question. - Yes.- Rugby.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13It is rugby. Rugby, and I love rugby.

0:04:13 > 0:04:15Ever since I was a little boy, growing up

0:04:15 > 0:04:17in Aber-go-sideways back in Wales...

0:04:17 > 0:04:18He's just made that up.

0:04:18 > 0:04:21..I wanted to be in rugby, and now here I am.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24I work in the stadium. I'm part of the physiotherapy department.

0:04:24 > 0:04:26Now, as you can imagine, the athletes

0:04:26 > 0:04:29we have here playing rugby, their bodies take a pounding sometimes.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32You know, they're very tough on the joints and the legs

0:04:32 > 0:04:35and especially in the scrum when you have three rows of players,

0:04:35 > 0:04:38all like this, and they all connect like this and they all

0:04:38 > 0:04:40push against three rows of other players on the other side,

0:04:40 > 0:04:41who are also pushing,

0:04:41 > 0:04:44and there's lots of pushing, and then their feet are

0:04:44 > 0:04:47involved and they're trying to gain possession of the ball, aren't they?

0:04:47 > 0:04:50James has gained possession of their attention, that's for sure.

0:04:50 > 0:04:52Now you can imagine, there's lots of tension

0:04:52 > 0:04:53on certain parts of the body.

0:04:53 > 0:04:57Which part of the body do you think takes the most pressure?

0:04:57 > 0:04:59- The neck.- Your neck. Absolutely.

0:04:59 > 0:05:03You can imagine all that pressure on the neck, so here at the stadium,

0:05:03 > 0:05:08we have specific pieces of equipment to help condition the neck to

0:05:08 > 0:05:11take lots of strength and be able to be more mobile.

0:05:11 > 0:05:14I'm going to stick my neck out and say this kit's going to be magic.

0:05:14 > 0:05:16And I've got one of them with me today.

0:05:16 > 0:05:19This is the neck mobility improver,

0:05:19 > 0:05:21and I'd like to demonstrate this to you now.

0:05:21 > 0:05:23- Would you like to see it?- Yes. - Absolutely.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25Do you want to come and give me a hand with this?

0:05:25 > 0:05:28Katherine's going to assist. The class haven't sussed them.

0:05:28 > 0:05:32And the neck mobility improver, as you can imagine,

0:05:32 > 0:05:34goes on the head like this.

0:05:34 > 0:05:37Oh, it's quite snug, and if we go a little bit to the right, then...

0:05:37 > 0:05:39Not exactly Ironman, is it?

0:05:40 > 0:05:42- Whoa, that looks painful. - And now left.

0:05:42 > 0:05:45Katherine's winding it round and winding the class up.

0:05:45 > 0:05:46Oh! That's it.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49Keep your eye on James's face.

0:05:49 > 0:05:50Go on. Go on.

0:05:51 > 0:05:54Wow! His head's going round the twist.

0:05:55 > 0:05:58They can't believe what they've just seen.

0:05:58 > 0:06:04Oh! Oh, that felt good. Oh. That was amazing.

0:06:04 > 0:06:07It was some amazing magic but they still don't suspect.

0:06:09 > 0:06:12James whacked on this weird contraption.

0:06:12 > 0:06:13Oh, it's quite snug.

0:06:13 > 0:06:15He set the school trip's heads spinning

0:06:15 > 0:06:17with his mind twisting magic.

0:06:18 > 0:06:21He moved his head like an owl, without as much as an "ouch".

0:06:21 > 0:06:22Oh!

0:06:22 > 0:06:24The class haven't seen through James's disguise

0:06:24 > 0:06:27but they're soon going to see through his body.

0:06:29 > 0:06:31Now John is going to set you a magical challenge

0:06:31 > 0:06:33in Tricks of the Trade.

0:06:33 > 0:06:35If you fancy yourself as a magician,

0:06:35 > 0:06:38here's a trick you can try on your mates.

0:06:38 > 0:06:40John is going to show you how to get the drink from this bottle

0:06:40 > 0:06:44into this glass without taking the straw out,

0:06:44 > 0:06:49without sucking on the straw or without tipping up the bottle.

0:06:49 > 0:06:52Can he do it? I bet he decant!

0:06:52 > 0:06:54Keep watching, and with any luck John

0:06:54 > 0:06:57will quench your thirst for magic later in the show.

0:07:01 > 0:07:04Let's pass back to the rugby stadium and museum.

0:07:04 > 0:07:08James posed as a physio with some physically impossible magic.

0:07:08 > 0:07:09Ah!

0:07:09 > 0:07:12Now it's over to Katherine, as she's the cat in the hat.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15I work with Jim here

0:07:15 > 0:07:19to try and improve the athlete's performance in physical

0:07:19 > 0:07:23contact sports, so obviously rugby is a very physical game, isn't it?

0:07:23 > 0:07:24And do you know what they call it

0:07:24 > 0:07:28when one player tries to grab the ball off another player?

0:07:28 > 0:07:30- Yes.- Tackling.- Tackling. Excellent.

0:07:30 > 0:07:33What they do is they'll grab a player round the hips

0:07:33 > 0:07:34and they'll drag them to the floor.

0:07:34 > 0:07:37This magic coming up is going to totally floor them.

0:07:37 > 0:07:40And that obviously has a lot of strain on your hip joints,

0:07:40 > 0:07:43so we've come up with a way of trying to help with this

0:07:43 > 0:07:45and improve it and here it is.

0:07:45 > 0:07:48It's the laser-operated hip displacer.

0:07:48 > 0:07:49Looks pretty hip, eh?

0:07:49 > 0:07:52So I'd like Jim to come and help me demonstrate this.

0:07:52 > 0:07:54Some unusual gym equipment.

0:07:54 > 0:07:58So all I'd like you to do, Jim, is...

0:07:58 > 0:08:00get inside.

0:08:00 > 0:08:02He's climbing in but the trip don't know what they've let

0:08:02 > 0:08:04themselves in for.

0:08:04 > 0:08:07And pop your head in this place here,

0:08:07 > 0:08:10and your hand through this little bit...

0:08:10 > 0:08:11That's his hand in place.

0:08:11 > 0:08:14..and your foot, so everything is locked in place.

0:08:14 > 0:08:17- That's really important. - There's his foot in position.

0:08:17 > 0:08:18The class can't take their eyes off it,

0:08:18 > 0:08:21but they can't see where this is going, either.

0:08:21 > 0:08:26Once he's securely in place, then we can shut the doors like this.

0:08:26 > 0:08:28James is locked and loaded.

0:08:28 > 0:08:31What we do now is we're just going to soften his joints

0:08:31 > 0:08:33and hips a little bit, so we use this.

0:08:33 > 0:08:35It's a medical-grade laser.

0:08:35 > 0:08:38Handled carefully by an A-grade magician.

0:08:38 > 0:08:40Mind your fingers there, Jim.

0:08:40 > 0:08:44That laser can't be softening up his joints, surely?

0:08:44 > 0:08:45The class are curious.

0:08:45 > 0:08:49And there we go. Now that should have done the trick.

0:08:49 > 0:08:51So let's see if it's worked.

0:08:51 > 0:08:54This trick is going to knock them sideways.

0:08:54 > 0:08:56- Hold tight, Jim. - Hold tight at home too.

0:08:56 > 0:09:00Just going to slide this along like that.

0:09:00 > 0:09:03Would you look at that! James is splitting in half.

0:09:04 > 0:09:06There we go.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08And you can see he's become a lot more mobile.

0:09:08 > 0:09:11Don't know about that. He's not going anywhere.

0:09:11 > 0:09:14- We open it up there.- There's his torso, the little so-and-so.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18He really has become extremely flexible.

0:09:18 > 0:09:20Now that's what I call a body swerve.

0:09:20 > 0:09:23And with this kind of flexibility playing on the pitch, it gives

0:09:23 > 0:09:27you a huge advantage over the other team and over the other players.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30It would certainly be hard to tackle him if he could do THAT in a game.

0:09:30 > 0:09:34- So do you think we should put him back together?- Yeah!- Nah.

0:09:36 > 0:09:38All right, then, I'll go with the consensus.

0:09:38 > 0:09:43Well, I think we should, so let's close the door.

0:09:43 > 0:09:44Here we go.

0:09:44 > 0:09:46Look - he's left his feet over there.

0:09:46 > 0:09:48Oh, no - wait, that's just his trainers.

0:09:48 > 0:09:50OK?

0:09:50 > 0:09:53Katherine's getting a shift on.

0:09:53 > 0:09:57His hips back in place. There we go.

0:09:58 > 0:10:01Let's hope he's in one piece.

0:10:01 > 0:10:03Out you come, Jim. How do you feel?

0:10:03 > 0:10:06- Oh, I feel fantastic.- Feels good.

0:10:06 > 0:10:07Oh, I feel fantastic now.

0:10:07 > 0:10:09- That's a relief for everyone.- So!

0:10:09 > 0:10:12There are a few other things we need to tell you

0:10:12 > 0:10:13about your visit today.

0:10:13 > 0:10:16Now the second half is over, it's full-time to reveal their secret.

0:10:16 > 0:10:19You've all been set up by your teachers and your parents

0:10:19 > 0:10:22and you're being filmed right now. There's a camera over there.

0:10:22 > 0:10:26There's a camera over there, and there's a camera over there.

0:10:26 > 0:10:30You're going to be on CBBC's Help My School Trip Is Magic.

0:10:30 > 0:10:34They think it's all over. It is now. Ah, bon sport.

0:10:34 > 0:10:36There's plenty of noise from this crowd,

0:10:36 > 0:10:39but how did they summarise the sporting action?

0:10:39 > 0:10:41It was fantastic.

0:10:41 > 0:10:45James introduced some kit to help strengthen players in the scrum.

0:10:45 > 0:10:47This is the neck mobility improver.

0:10:47 > 0:10:49He had this box.

0:10:49 > 0:10:53He put it on his head and he was turning his neck around and round.

0:10:53 > 0:10:56Not only that, he set the pupils' heads spinning.

0:10:56 > 0:11:00It was amazing that he could turn his head right the way round.

0:11:00 > 0:11:02James wound them up good and proper

0:11:02 > 0:11:05and it was time for an unexpected twist.

0:11:05 > 0:11:08You could see his legs and his foot was still sticking

0:11:08 > 0:11:13out of the box, but then his like body was sliding to the side.

0:11:13 > 0:11:16And it wasn't just James who was beside himself.

0:11:16 > 0:11:17In a word, it was...

0:11:17 > 0:11:20- Unbelievable.- Everyone's a winner

0:11:20 > 0:11:24but nobody suspected their school trip was magic.

0:11:24 > 0:11:26Help! My School Trip Is Magic.

0:11:29 > 0:11:32Still to come, were you quick on the straw with John's

0:11:32 > 0:11:34secret in Tricks of the Trade?

0:11:34 > 0:11:37You'll just have to suck it and see.

0:11:37 > 0:11:39And will Fergus box clever at the museum?

0:11:39 > 0:11:42Or will the class realise their school trip is magic?

0:11:42 > 0:11:43Oh, deary me.

0:11:44 > 0:11:48But first, we asked you to send in clips of yourself

0:11:48 > 0:11:50performing your best magic tricks.

0:11:50 > 0:11:54We received loads of clips from all over the country.

0:11:54 > 0:11:56Each week I'll be choosing a favourite Wannabe Wizard

0:11:56 > 0:11:58and showing them to you guys.

0:11:59 > 0:12:02My Wannabe Wizard this time is Amy from St Helens,

0:12:02 > 0:12:06and with two tricks up her sleeve, she's double trouble.

0:12:06 > 0:12:08For her first trick...

0:12:08 > 0:12:11Here is blank card. Can you all see that?

0:12:11 > 0:12:13Yes, we can. It's definitely blank.

0:12:15 > 0:12:16Close it.

0:12:19 > 0:12:22Classic magical gesture. Done with aplomb.

0:12:22 > 0:12:25- Wow!- Can you all see a card?

0:12:25 > 0:12:29- It's now the nine of clubs. How did that happen?- Magic.

0:12:29 > 0:12:32Thought so, silly! And there's more magic where that came from.

0:12:32 > 0:12:36I'm going to make one of these balls fall through a cup.

0:12:36 > 0:12:38The ball is on top of the yellow cup.

0:12:38 > 0:12:41Putting them on top. Abracadabra.

0:12:42 > 0:12:46- How on earth did that happen? - How on earth did that happen?

0:12:46 > 0:12:49That's what I just said. You should know, Amy.

0:12:49 > 0:12:52That's one ball under. What's she going to do next?

0:12:52 > 0:12:54I'm going to make another ball fall through.

0:12:54 > 0:12:56This time it's on top of the red cup.

0:12:57 > 0:13:00Abracadabra. It fell through.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02It's gone through and now there's two.

0:13:04 > 0:13:07So there are two under the blue cup.

0:13:07 > 0:13:09She's put the third ball on top of that.

0:13:09 > 0:13:11Here's the last ball. Let's see if it works.

0:13:12 > 0:13:14Abracadabra.

0:13:15 > 0:13:16Are they all there?

0:13:16 > 0:13:18Let's count them.

0:13:18 > 0:13:20One,

0:13:20 > 0:13:22two,

0:13:22 > 0:13:23three.

0:13:23 > 0:13:26All the balls have fell down there.

0:13:26 > 0:13:28Three balls, two great tricks.

0:13:30 > 0:13:33This is muscular magician Fergus. Nice bicep.

0:13:35 > 0:13:39John always has to go bigger and better, doesn't he?

0:13:39 > 0:13:43These strong men must tricep harder on this next school trip.

0:13:44 > 0:13:48Year four are made up, cos they're off out for the day.

0:13:48 > 0:13:50Their parents and teachers haven't told them that

0:13:50 > 0:13:53the whole reason for their trip is made up too.

0:13:53 > 0:13:57It's going to seem credible but end up incredible.

0:13:57 > 0:13:59And would you credit it - they're going

0:13:59 > 0:14:02to Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum.

0:14:02 > 0:14:05It's an attraction full of odd and quirky stuff, which is

0:14:05 > 0:14:07why we've sent in our most peculiar magicians.

0:14:09 > 0:14:11Hi, John. Fancy seeing you here.

0:14:11 > 0:14:15The pupils are already expecting to see the weird and wonderful, so

0:14:15 > 0:14:20our guys will have to step up their game and go even deeper under cover.

0:14:20 > 0:14:24Today I'm going to be playing a master of ancient artefacts and

0:14:24 > 0:14:28I recently met Jedward so I'm going to be putting on the Irish accent.

0:14:28 > 0:14:32They gave me a few tips and things that I hopefully then could improve

0:14:32 > 0:14:36it to a standard where people will actually believe I'm Irish.

0:14:36 > 0:14:38It's not going to happen.

0:14:38 > 0:14:40He's going to be put to the test soon, cos the kids are here

0:14:40 > 0:14:43and they're looking round at the eye-popping exhibits.

0:14:43 > 0:14:46The eyes are pushed out!

0:14:46 > 0:14:49John and Fergus have also been enjoying measuring up to

0:14:49 > 0:14:52the world's tallest man, but time's ticking on.

0:14:52 > 0:14:54They need to get a shift on and the lift up

0:14:54 > 0:14:56as the trippers are not far behind.

0:14:59 > 0:15:01The room's ready and rigged with cameras.

0:15:01 > 0:15:04It's time for John to get his magic on, cos in they come.

0:15:07 > 0:15:10- Hello, boys and girls.- Hello.

0:15:10 > 0:15:12I work here, in this wonderful establishment.

0:15:12 > 0:15:15I love all the oddities. The strange things that we've got here.

0:15:15 > 0:15:16One of my favourites is over there.

0:15:16 > 0:15:21That is a full-size model of a Ferrari motor car that's been

0:15:21 > 0:15:24knitted entirely out of wool.

0:15:24 > 0:15:26I know! The lady who did that, she's an artist, right?

0:15:26 > 0:15:30She's going to do the inside of the car - knit the inside of the car.

0:15:30 > 0:15:32This is where the truth gets a little bit woolly.

0:15:32 > 0:15:34She's got all the wool here for the different bits of the car.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37She's got some wool for the seats and some wool for the head lamp.

0:15:37 > 0:15:40I don't know why, cos they're on the outside of the car.

0:15:40 > 0:15:42And then - there's one down there, the steering wheel.

0:15:42 > 0:15:44Right. And there's a gearbox there.

0:15:44 > 0:15:46That's sort of half in, half out, isn't it? The gearbox.

0:15:46 > 0:15:48She's going to mix it all up.

0:15:48 > 0:15:50He's going to come back to those boxes of wool.

0:15:50 > 0:15:52I'll tell you what. Another one of my favourites.

0:15:52 > 0:15:54You might have seen it round here, right?

0:15:54 > 0:15:57There's a picture of the Queen made entirely of 1p coins.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59- Have you seen that yet?- No.

0:15:59 > 0:16:02We have commissioned to have another one of those pictures made, right?

0:16:02 > 0:16:03And it's not going to be the Queen, this one -

0:16:03 > 0:16:05it's going to be Harry Styles.

0:16:05 > 0:16:07I know. Harry Styles from One Direction.

0:16:07 > 0:16:11We're going to have a picture of him made entirely of 10p coins,

0:16:11 > 0:16:13and it's going to be done in the same style.

0:16:13 > 0:16:17You see what I said? It's going to be done in the same style.

0:16:17 > 0:16:19And what we thought would be a nice idea,

0:16:19 > 0:16:22is if your class have one of the 10ps in the picture of Harry Styles.

0:16:22 > 0:16:25Wouldn't that be great? So we need to mark the coins,

0:16:25 > 0:16:27so when you come back in about a year or so's time,

0:16:27 > 0:16:30and you get here and, you know, you look at the Harry Styles picture,

0:16:30 > 0:16:33You'll be able to look at the coins and see yours, cos we'll mark it,

0:16:33 > 0:16:36so I need somebody to put some marks on the coin for me.

0:16:36 > 0:16:38- Yes. This young lady. What's your name?- Jessica.

0:16:38 > 0:16:41Wonderful. Come out here, Jessica. Wonderful. Come and stand here.

0:16:41 > 0:16:43Now, what I want you to do, Jessica, for me,

0:16:43 > 0:16:47is I want you to write your initials nice and big on this coin like that.

0:16:47 > 0:16:50That's it. Just write your initials on there for me.

0:16:50 > 0:16:53That is lovely. Fantastic. Thank you, Jessica.

0:16:53 > 0:16:55You can have a seat now, there we are.

0:16:55 > 0:16:57We've got Jessica's initials on the coin.

0:16:57 > 0:17:00Now, we're actually collecting the coins in a jar.

0:17:00 > 0:17:03We haven't collected any yet. This is the first one we've collected.

0:17:03 > 0:17:05What we'll do is get these coins, right?

0:17:05 > 0:17:08And the artist will put them all in the picture where we need them.

0:17:08 > 0:17:10Once they're up there and they're all, they're all there,

0:17:10 > 0:17:14what you can do is you can, you can just, that, you can...

0:17:14 > 0:17:16Oh.

0:17:16 > 0:17:19Oh, dear. Did anybody see that drop on the floor?

0:17:19 > 0:17:24- No.- No, neither did... Did, um, did anybody hear it drop on the floor?

0:17:24 > 0:17:27- No.- The coin's disappeared. The class are disappointed.

0:17:27 > 0:17:30This is all part of the magic that John's weaving.

0:17:30 > 0:17:32Do you know what could have happened?

0:17:32 > 0:17:35It could have fell in one of these boxes.

0:17:35 > 0:17:36My mother always said to me,

0:17:36 > 0:17:38"If you lose anything, have a look in the glove box."

0:17:38 > 0:17:41I think this might have the wool for the glove box here.

0:17:41 > 0:17:42Told you the boxes would be important.

0:17:42 > 0:17:44The box, look - here.

0:17:46 > 0:17:48Look what it says on the front there. Glove box.

0:17:48 > 0:17:50Now, I need somebody to help me have a look and see

0:17:50 > 0:17:52if the coin's fallen into the glove box box.

0:17:52 > 0:17:54- What's your name, fella?- Alex.

0:17:54 > 0:17:57Alex. Come on out, Alex. Lovely. Come and stand over here.

0:17:57 > 0:17:59Alex, just open up the glove box box.

0:17:59 > 0:18:01And have a look in there. Can you see any wool?

0:18:01 > 0:18:02Wonderful. Take that out for me.

0:18:02 > 0:18:05Oh, there's a lovely ball of wool to make the glove box, look.

0:18:05 > 0:18:08I'll put that there. Now, maybe that 10p has fallen through that box.

0:18:08 > 0:18:12Maybe it's fallen through that box and maybe it's fallen in the wool.

0:18:12 > 0:18:14Some spare wool for making the car, perhaps?

0:18:14 > 0:18:16We need to unravel that, so can you do me a favour?

0:18:16 > 0:18:18Well, just pop that in the jar. That's it.

0:18:18 > 0:18:20You just turn first that way a little bit.

0:18:20 > 0:18:23Let me grab the end of that. Now we'll unravel it.

0:18:23 > 0:18:24All right, we'll unravel it.

0:18:24 > 0:18:26If you see a coin in there would you let me know, Alex?

0:18:26 > 0:18:29Wonderful. I can't believe it would fall in the box, in the other box,

0:18:29 > 0:18:32in the other box, in the other box, inside the wool,

0:18:32 > 0:18:34but can you see anything in the wool?

0:18:34 > 0:18:36What's in there, Alex? A box!

0:18:36 > 0:18:39There's another box inside the wool that was inside the box

0:18:39 > 0:18:41that was inside the box.

0:18:41 > 0:18:42Is John off his box?

0:18:42 > 0:18:45Alex, would you take the box out of there? That's it.

0:18:45 > 0:18:46Oh, it's got an elastic band around it.

0:18:46 > 0:18:48Take the elastic band off for me, Alex.

0:18:48 > 0:18:51Wonderful. Well, open the box. I'll take the elastic band.

0:18:51 > 0:18:52Open up the box.

0:18:52 > 0:18:55There was a box inside the wool inside a box inside a box.

0:18:55 > 0:18:57What's inside the box? A little bag.

0:18:57 > 0:18:59Take the bag out for me, Alex.

0:18:59 > 0:19:00The plot thickens.

0:19:00 > 0:19:02Can you feel anything inside the bag, Alex?

0:19:02 > 0:19:04I'm more excited than you would know, Alex.

0:19:04 > 0:19:07Look, open up the bag. This is exciting, isn't it?

0:19:07 > 0:19:09Have a look inside. What's inside the bag, Alex?

0:19:09 > 0:19:10It can't be, can it?

0:19:10 > 0:19:12What is it? It's a 10p.

0:19:12 > 0:19:14It is.

0:19:14 > 0:19:17Show the boys and girls the signature on the front.

0:19:19 > 0:19:20Isn't that weird?

0:19:20 > 0:19:23Jessica can't believe it. Nor can the whole trip.

0:19:24 > 0:19:30That is Jessica's signature on the 10p coin that was in the bag

0:19:30 > 0:19:33in the wool in the box, in the other box, in the other box.

0:19:33 > 0:19:36Well done. I'll take that off you. Alex, you go and have a seat.

0:19:36 > 0:19:39Give Alex a big round of applause for helping.

0:19:39 > 0:19:40The coin was marked but lost.

0:19:40 > 0:19:43So you can just, you can...

0:19:43 > 0:19:47Then it reappeared in the most unlikely place.

0:19:47 > 0:19:50But the impossible is about to get even impossiblier.

0:19:50 > 0:19:51Is that even a word? It should be.

0:19:51 > 0:19:53Can someone give that Fergus a hand?

0:19:53 > 0:19:56I seem to have locked the key into the box.

0:19:57 > 0:20:02Now it's time for John to reveal the secret in Tricks of the Trade.

0:20:02 > 0:20:05John will show you how to get the drink from this bottle

0:20:05 > 0:20:09into this glass without tipping the bottle or without

0:20:09 > 0:20:11sucking it through the straw.

0:20:11 > 0:20:12Do you vibrate the table?

0:20:14 > 0:20:15Nah.

0:20:15 > 0:20:17Do you do it a drop at a time?

0:20:17 > 0:20:21Nope, you can't pick up the straw. Here's how.

0:20:21 > 0:20:24You simply put your mouth on the bottle and blow.

0:20:25 > 0:20:30The pressure forces the liquid out through the straw into the glass.

0:20:30 > 0:20:33You can try that one with the juice at the breakfast table.

0:20:33 > 0:20:36Thirsty work but someone's got to do it.

0:20:39 > 0:20:41Back to the Museum of Oddities

0:20:41 > 0:20:44and John did something unexplained with a coin and some wool.

0:20:44 > 0:20:48But things are about to unravel even further.

0:20:48 > 0:20:50Hello, boys and girls. How are you?

0:20:50 > 0:20:51Fine.

0:20:51 > 0:20:55Now, I'm responsible here for the artefacts that

0:20:55 > 0:20:57come in to the attraction.

0:20:57 > 0:21:02I make sure they arrive safely and I make sure they are stored properly.

0:21:02 > 0:21:04I rack, I stack and I pack.

0:21:04 > 0:21:08- I do all of those things together. Isn't that exciting?- Yeah.

0:21:08 > 0:21:11If you say so, mate. Good rhyme, though.

0:21:11 > 0:21:14Now this type of box is the typical type of box

0:21:14 > 0:21:17we would use to rack, to stack and to pack things.

0:21:17 > 0:21:23So you can see here, it's got a rather small 75ml hole and that

0:21:23 > 0:21:28allows for air to go into the box, circulate and stop mould and mildew.

0:21:28 > 0:21:30And all those horrible things in the box.

0:21:30 > 0:21:33- Would you like to see what's inside the box?- Yeah.

0:21:33 > 0:21:38Not so much an old box of artefacts as a severe case of magic.

0:21:38 > 0:21:40I need a helper. A wee man or a wee girl.

0:21:40 > 0:21:42- You, sir. What's your name?- Ricky.

0:21:42 > 0:21:46Ricky. Will you come up here? Give Ricky a round of applause.

0:21:46 > 0:21:48Ricky's coming up to examine the box.

0:21:48 > 0:21:54Now, obviously this box has extreme valuables in and I'm talking

0:21:54 > 0:21:58worth a fortune, so Ricky, I'd like you to open up the box.

0:21:58 > 0:22:00So if you take that. There we go.

0:22:00 > 0:22:05And if you just put the key in the padlock and then just turn the key.

0:22:05 > 0:22:08It's pretty tricky, Ricky. There we go. That's grand. Thanks very much.

0:22:08 > 0:22:11And if Ricky, if you just stand to one side. Great.

0:22:11 > 0:22:14And we'll open up the box and Ricky, what I'd like you to do is have a tap

0:22:14 > 0:22:20round the box and make sure that really is like a proper solid box.

0:22:20 > 0:22:21Good solid proof.

0:22:21 > 0:22:24Tap the top as well. Excellent.

0:22:24 > 0:22:25Ricky, you can sit back down.

0:22:25 > 0:22:27Give Ricky a round of applause.

0:22:28 > 0:22:33Now, I'd like to share with you the first item in the box.

0:22:33 > 0:22:35It is...

0:22:35 > 0:22:39A Chinese dragon mask.

0:22:39 > 0:22:42They're impressed already. No magic required.

0:22:42 > 0:22:44This is going to go well.

0:22:44 > 0:22:46I didn't even know that dragons wore masks.

0:22:46 > 0:22:48That's his little joke.

0:22:48 > 0:22:50Boo!

0:22:50 > 0:22:52Pretty cool. That's the first item.

0:22:52 > 0:22:56Now, the second of the items is my favourite.

0:22:57 > 0:22:59It's the shawl of Donegal.

0:22:59 > 0:23:02And he's going to pull the rug out from underneath the school trip.

0:23:02 > 0:23:03We'll actually come back to that later.

0:23:03 > 0:23:10I'll leave that on the side. Lastly we have a African drum.

0:23:10 > 0:23:11Wow.

0:23:11 > 0:23:12Yep, that's impressive.

0:23:13 > 0:23:15Now, years and years

0:23:15 > 0:23:19and years ago the tribes used these to communicate between each other.

0:23:19 > 0:23:21And I'm pretty good at playing the drum.

0:23:21 > 0:23:23- Would you like to hear?- Yes. - Are you sure?- Yes.

0:23:23 > 0:23:26Go on, Fergus. Hit it.

0:23:26 > 0:23:28Are yous readys?

0:23:28 > 0:23:29Yes.

0:23:34 > 0:23:38Now right there, what I've done is communicate with my mammy,

0:23:38 > 0:23:40asking her what's for tea.

0:23:40 > 0:23:41DRUMMING SOUND

0:23:43 > 0:23:44This is strange.

0:23:44 > 0:23:46That's brilliant. That's my favourite.

0:23:46 > 0:23:50That's sausages, chips and tiny-weeny little peas.

0:23:50 > 0:23:51Isn't that brilliant?

0:23:51 > 0:23:53Brilliant but unexplained.

0:23:53 > 0:23:56Surely the class suspects something fishy is going on?

0:23:56 > 0:24:00Now, the box obviously, with its valuables, can't stay

0:24:00 > 0:24:05unlocked for long, so it's important that we close the box right up.

0:24:05 > 0:24:08Watch that box. That's where the magic's going to happen.

0:24:08 > 0:24:12Back on like so.

0:24:12 > 0:24:14Empty but fully locked and secured.

0:24:14 > 0:24:20Now I'm the only person here in the entire attraction that is

0:24:20 > 0:24:24entrusted with this key right here and this padlock.

0:24:24 > 0:24:27Are they fools? Fergus can't be trusted with anything.

0:24:27 > 0:24:31And that's because I'm an extremely reliable individual...

0:24:31 > 0:24:34- Whatever, mate.- ..who wouldn't think of losing such a...

0:24:34 > 0:24:39Uh-oh! The key's fallen through a tiny hole in the box.

0:24:39 > 0:24:45I seem to have knocked the key into the box. Oh, deary me.

0:24:45 > 0:24:48You're trying to grab it through the hole. Careful, mate.

0:24:48 > 0:24:51Would you come and tell them a thing about the shawl of Donegal?

0:24:51 > 0:24:53- All right, I'll come and have a go. - I can't get the key.

0:24:53 > 0:24:56All right. Don't worry, lad - I'll show them the shawl of Donegal.

0:24:56 > 0:24:58There we go. Sally, can you give me a hand?

0:24:58 > 0:25:00Could you just grab that? This is beautiful.

0:25:00 > 0:25:03This is a shawl of Donegal. Look at that.

0:25:03 > 0:25:05Look. Isn't that wonderful?

0:25:05 > 0:25:08That there is a prime example of Northern Irish weavery.

0:25:08 > 0:25:09You can see on the top...

0:25:09 > 0:25:12Truly a pro, Fergus is still keeping it going

0:25:12 > 0:25:14while he fumbles around in the box.

0:25:14 > 0:25:16Now let me try and get this key.

0:25:16 > 0:25:20And on the bottom, you've got an extremely traditional weave

0:25:20 > 0:25:21that we're used to seeing.

0:25:21 > 0:25:24- I've got it!- He's got the key!

0:25:24 > 0:25:25- I've got the key!- Oh!

0:25:26 > 0:25:29Whoa! He's fallen through the tiny hole into the box.

0:25:30 > 0:25:34They can't believe it. Fergus is small but he's not that small.

0:25:34 > 0:25:36- Oh.- Let me out!

0:25:36 > 0:25:38- I can't hear. Give us the key. - Let me out.

0:25:38 > 0:25:39I can't hear a word you're saying.

0:25:39 > 0:25:41All right. Stop banging and I'll let you out.

0:25:41 > 0:25:44Honestly. I don't know how you've done that.

0:25:44 > 0:25:47- I don't know how you've got yourself in there, lad.- Ah!

0:25:48 > 0:25:50Now, boys and girls,
