0:12:02 > 0:12:06The BBC have sent these for magicians into your schools.

0:12:06 > 0:12:10They are some of the hottest magicians in the country.

0:12:10 > 0:12:12Our magicians went undercover

0:12:12 > 0:12:16and they pretended to be supply teachers.

0:12:22 > 0:12:27Do you think you could spot a magician pretending to be a teacher?

0:12:27 > 0:12:30This is Fergus, he's a magician with loads of tricks up his sleeve

0:12:30 > 0:12:33and he's going to use them undercover as a supply teacher.

0:12:33 > 0:12:34The cameras are set,

0:12:34 > 0:12:37and none of the class realise that they are being filmed.

0:12:37 > 0:12:39- ALL:- Morning.

0:12:39 > 0:12:42With science experiments, they don't always go right.

0:12:42 > 0:12:47In fact, sometimes they go badly wrong.

0:12:47 > 0:12:50Hopefully, that won't happen today.

0:12:50 > 0:12:53Fergus has got the class's full attention with that -

0:12:53 > 0:12:55they don't suspect a thing.

0:12:55 > 0:12:58If your teacher could come up to the front of the class

0:12:58 > 0:13:00and help me out, that would be fantastic.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02This is Sarah's big moment.

0:13:02 > 0:13:06We've got a towel so she doesn't get too wet - hopefully!

0:13:06 > 0:13:08Now he's really got their attention.

0:13:08 > 0:13:11There is nothing funnier than your teacher getting wet!

0:13:11 > 0:13:15Now, Sarah, it if you could hold onto that bucket for me.

0:13:15 > 0:13:17Oh, careful, Sarah, that bucket's full of water!

0:13:17 > 0:13:22Now, in here I have got a bottle of water.

0:13:22 > 0:13:26What will happen if I turn that bottle of water upside down?

0:13:26 > 0:13:28Turn it the other way round? Yes?

0:13:31 > 0:13:33If I turn the bottle of water upside down, of course,

0:13:33 > 0:13:37the water runs out until the bottle is empty.

0:13:37 > 0:13:39So, I'm going to leave that to refill.

0:13:39 > 0:13:42Now, the experiment I've got planned for you doesn't just use

0:13:42 > 0:13:46the bottle of water, it also uses a piece of paper.

0:13:46 > 0:13:50What do you guys think will happen if I take back my bottle of water,

0:13:50 > 0:13:52which is a bit too full,

0:13:52 > 0:13:56and I now place a piece of paper on top of the bottle,

0:13:56 > 0:13:59and now turn the whole thing upside down?

0:13:59 > 0:14:00You, at the back.

0:14:02 > 0:14:04Let's see what happens.

0:14:04 > 0:14:07So, if I turn that bottle of water upside down...

0:14:07 > 0:14:10you'll see, and this is pretty cool,

0:14:10 > 0:14:12that piece of paper sticks.

0:14:12 > 0:14:13- ALL:- Wow!

0:14:13 > 0:14:17It's definitely cool, but it's not magic yet, it's still science.

0:14:17 > 0:14:20Wouldn't it be amazing if I could remove that piece of paper

0:14:20 > 0:14:24and all that water stayed in the bottle?

0:14:24 > 0:14:25- ALL:- Yes!

0:14:26 > 0:14:27Wouldn't that be cool?

0:14:27 > 0:14:32Sometimes, if you have just the right temperature in the room

0:14:32 > 0:14:37and just the right pressure in the bottle...this can happen.

0:14:37 > 0:14:38Fasten your seatbelts,

0:14:38 > 0:14:41this is where the science stops as the magic begins.

0:14:41 > 0:14:46Now, who would rather I did this over the bucket...

0:14:46 > 0:14:49or over Sarah's head? Which one do you think?

0:14:49 > 0:14:52- ALL:- Sarah's head! Sarah's head!

0:14:52 > 0:14:57Oh, I don't know. Did you say, "Over the bucket?"

0:14:57 > 0:14:58- ALL:- No! No?!

0:14:58 > 0:15:00- Over her head?! ALL:- Yes!

0:15:00 > 0:15:03Oh, I couldn't do that, I couldn't do that. Could I?

0:15:03 > 0:15:05- ALL:- Yes!

0:15:05 > 0:15:07I suppose she has got a towel, hasn't she?

0:15:07 > 0:15:09THEY LAUGH

0:15:11 > 0:15:13I'm really sorry, Sarah, if this doesn't work.

0:15:13 > 0:15:17You could have a very, very wet teacher. Watch.

0:15:17 > 0:15:19THEY ALL CHATTER

0:15:24 > 0:15:26- ALL:- No!

0:15:26 > 0:15:29They might have wanted to see her get soaked,

0:15:29 > 0:15:32but they can't deny it's an awesome trick.

0:15:32 > 0:15:33Look at that, boys.

0:15:33 > 0:15:36Fergus has made the water stay in the bottle.

0:15:36 > 0:15:38That's not scientifically possible,

0:15:38 > 0:15:40and the magic is about to get better.

0:15:40 > 0:15:45What's amazing is in this bucket I have some little pieces of stick,

0:15:45 > 0:15:49and what's incredible is even though nothing comes out of the bottle,

0:15:49 > 0:15:52these pieces of stick go in.

0:15:52 > 0:15:53- ALL:- Wow!

0:15:53 > 0:15:56Two might cause too much pressure in the bottle, we'll see.

0:15:56 > 0:15:57The sticks are going in,

0:15:57 > 0:16:01but there's no water coming out, and that's magic.

0:16:01 > 0:16:05Now, the only way, actually, to get that water flowing again

0:16:05 > 0:16:09is to exert more pressure outside of the bottle. Very good. Then it's in.

0:16:09 > 0:16:10Squeezing it, exactly!

0:16:10 > 0:16:12So, if I take the bottle

0:16:12 > 0:16:18and I squeeze it, you will see all that water starts to flow again.

0:16:18 > 0:16:21And, Sarah, you can go back to your seat. Thank you very much, Sarah.

0:16:21 > 0:16:23THEY APPLAUD

0:16:23 > 0:16:26The regular teacher has got away with it and so has Fergus,

0:16:26 > 0:16:28but it's time to reveal his secret.

0:16:28 > 0:16:30I've told you a little lie.

0:16:30 > 0:16:36I am called Fergus, but I'm not actually a teacher...

0:16:36 > 0:16:37I'm a magician.

0:16:37 > 0:16:40What?! Oh, my! Cool!

0:16:40 > 0:16:44And all of you guys have been set up by your teachers.

0:16:44 > 0:16:46THEY ALL SCREAM

0:16:46 > 0:16:49I thought it was impossible, but, actually, it was possible.

0:16:49 > 0:16:53Would you realise your supply teacher was magic?
