0:24:02 > 0:24:06CBBC have sent these four magicians into your schools.
0:24:06 > 0:24:10They are some of the hottest magicians in the country.
0:24:10 > 0:24:12Our magicians went undercover
0:24:12 > 0:24:16and they pretended to be supplied teachers.
0:24:21 > 0:24:26Now it's time for Katherine to fool another unsuspecting class.
0:24:26 > 0:24:29The classroom's been planted with hidden cameras
0:24:29 > 0:24:33and she's got a trick that will really grow on them very quickly.
0:24:33 > 0:24:37Today we're going to be learning about sustainability.
0:24:37 > 0:24:42The food we eat every day and the paper you write on at school
0:24:42 > 0:24:45all needs to be replaced and that is sustainability,
0:24:45 > 0:24:48when we replace resources so we don't run out.
0:24:48 > 0:24:52That's true, but she's about to lead them up the garden path.
0:24:52 > 0:24:55When I was planning this lesson I had a look online
0:24:55 > 0:24:58and what I found was a very interesting article
0:24:58 > 0:25:03and it was describing something called Speed Grow Powder.
0:25:03 > 0:25:05There's no such thing as Speed Grow Powder -
0:25:05 > 0:25:07- it's just part of the trick. - So I sent an e-mail
0:25:07 > 0:25:12and they very kindly sent me over a sample, which I've got here.
0:25:12 > 0:25:14These girls haven't seen anything like it.
0:25:14 > 0:25:18Yesterday I tried this out at home with a sunflower seed
0:25:18 > 0:25:21and I put the seed into my airing cupboard
0:25:21 > 0:25:25with the powder on top and I left it for only a few moments
0:25:25 > 0:25:28and when I opened up the cupboard door again
0:25:28 > 0:25:31I could see a fully grown, tall sunflower.
0:25:31 > 0:25:33A tall story more like, but they don't suspect a thing.
0:25:33 > 0:25:36Obviously I couldn't bring my airing cupboard
0:25:36 > 0:25:40so I had to find a cupboard in your storage room,
0:25:40 > 0:25:43which will do fine and block out all the light.
0:25:43 > 0:25:45So I'll just pop the seed in the soil
0:25:45 > 0:25:49and sprinkle some of the Speed Grow Powder on top.
0:25:49 > 0:25:54If we open up the front of the cupboard and place the pot inside
0:25:54 > 0:26:00we should only really need to leave it for a few moments
0:26:00 > 0:26:03before we see some sort of result.
0:26:05 > 0:26:06So let's close the door.
0:26:06 > 0:26:09Now, it's very important that no light gets in there
0:26:09 > 0:26:12because otherwise the powder won't work, but as I said,
0:26:12 > 0:26:14it works really, really quickly,
0:26:14 > 0:26:18so probably, I imagine, we've probably waited enough time already,
0:26:18 > 0:26:21so let's have a look and see what the results are.
0:26:21 > 0:26:24- I'll just take off the door. - I can't wait for this.
0:26:24 > 0:26:26The class are about to be blown away.
0:26:26 > 0:26:31- And have a look inside and... Wow, have a look at that.- Whoa!
0:26:31 > 0:26:36The seed has grown into a plant in no time at all. I can't BE-LEAF it!
0:26:36 > 0:26:40That's grown about what would generally take about four weeks
0:26:40 > 0:26:43in about ten seconds. OK, so let's put it back in again.
0:26:43 > 0:26:45It's already an incredible trick,
0:26:45 > 0:26:49but will it plant the seed of doubt into the class's head
0:26:49 > 0:26:52- about her magical identity? - And see how much it grows again.
0:26:54 > 0:26:56Seal up the front of the door.
0:26:56 > 0:26:59Now, has anyone ever heard of fertiliser before?
0:26:59 > 0:27:02You have, and who knows what it does?
0:27:02 > 0:27:04Katherine's trying to throw off the class
0:27:04 > 0:27:07with some questions and some real science.
0:27:07 > 0:27:11Oh, and remember - don't play with fertiliser at home.
0:27:11 > 0:27:14Grow - it's supposed to help stuff grow. Exactly.
0:27:14 > 0:27:17And this is exactly what the powder does,
0:27:17 > 0:27:20but it does it much more effectively and much faster,
0:27:20 > 0:27:23so let's have a look and see if it's worked again.
0:27:23 > 0:27:26Open up the front of the door and if we have a look...
0:27:26 > 0:27:28THEY GASP
0:27:28 > 0:27:31Big plant, big reaction.
0:27:32 > 0:27:35It's time for our magic supply teacher
0:27:35 > 0:27:37to let them all in on the trick.
0:27:37 > 0:27:40- Do you want to know a secret? PUPILS:- Yes.
0:27:40 > 0:27:43The secret is I'm not a real teacher.
0:27:43 > 0:27:45GASPING
0:27:45 > 0:27:48And that was actually a magic trick.
0:27:48 > 0:27:51And if you look over there in that corner, that's a camera,
0:27:51 > 0:27:54that's a camera and over there, that's a camera
0:27:54 > 0:27:59because you're all being filmed right now for a new CBBC magic show.
0:27:59 > 0:28:01SHOUTS OF EXCITEMENT
0:28:06 > 0:28:08THEY SCREAM
0:28:08 > 0:28:10She did it!
0:28:10 > 0:28:15Katherine's brilliant quick-growing trick has totally fooled the class.
0:28:15 > 0:28:17I didn't know what I thought.
0:28:17 > 0:28:21I was just completely wordless and it was really amazing.
0:28:21 > 0:28:26Katherine pulled it off. The class had no idea she was a magician.
0:28:26 > 0:28:29We totally got them and they loved it.
