0:00:02 > 0:00:06CBBC have sent these four magicians into your schools.

0:00:06 > 0:00:10They are some of the hottest magicians in the country.

0:00:10 > 0:00:12Our magicians went undercover

0:00:12 > 0:00:16and they pretended to be supply teachers.

0:00:16 > 0:00:21We hid secret cameras all over your classrooms

0:00:21 > 0:00:25and watched while you had the most incredible lessons.

0:00:25 > 0:00:28Our magicians fooled whole classes

0:00:28 > 0:00:31and shocked them with their spectacular tricks.

0:00:31 > 0:00:33But did they come to your school?

0:00:33 > 0:00:36- I never knew I was going to be on TV. - Did they trick you?

0:00:36 > 0:00:37I'm just so freaked out.

0:00:37 > 0:00:39And did you shout...

0:00:43 > 0:00:45Hello, it's me, Iain,

0:00:45 > 0:00:50and this is, Help! My Supply Teacher is Magic.

0:00:50 > 0:00:54We've fooled hundreds of you guys by swapping regular teachers

0:00:54 > 0:00:59with magicians and we've been secretly filming the results

0:00:59 > 0:01:03with special cameras which we've hidden in the classrooms.

0:01:03 > 0:01:08Oh, yes, we are smarter than a shop full of smartphones

0:01:08 > 0:01:11and it's not just about the magic teachers,

0:01:11 > 0:01:16we've also got loads of other great magic coming up as well.

0:01:16 > 0:01:20But what's this I've got in my hat?

0:01:20 > 0:01:22He was here a minute ago.

0:01:22 > 0:01:25You have a look at this.

0:01:25 > 0:01:28Has anyone seen Fluffy?

0:01:28 > 0:01:32James goes undercover, causing mayhem in this class of Year Threes.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34Look, there's liquid pumping out of his arm!

0:01:34 > 0:01:37But will the class be pumped with excitement?

0:01:37 > 0:01:40We're going to teach you a magic trick so you can fool your friends.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43Grab a bowl and a drinks carton,

0:01:43 > 0:01:45half full of your favourite drink, so you can join in.

0:01:45 > 0:01:50Plus you've been sending in clips of all your best magic tricks

0:01:50 > 0:01:52and later on, I'll be picking my five favourites.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55Will you be one of my Wannabe Wizards?

0:01:55 > 0:02:00Could you spot a magician pretending to be a supply teacher?

0:02:00 > 0:02:02Could you? Really?

0:02:02 > 0:02:06This is James, he's a man of mystery and can make things disappear

0:02:06 > 0:02:09and reappear, even his hair.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11He's going undercover as a supply teacher.

0:02:11 > 0:02:14The hidden cameras are set. Is it your school?

0:02:14 > 0:02:19Is it your class? Let's find out.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22These Year Three pupils think they're here for a regular lesson,

0:02:22 > 0:02:25but they're wrong, James is highly irregular.

0:02:25 > 0:02:29The classroom's rigged with hidden cameras and James is about to do

0:02:29 > 0:02:33a totally pumping trick using green gloop,

0:02:33 > 0:02:35and they have no idea.

0:02:35 > 0:02:38- Good afternoon, class. - CLASS: Good afternoon, James.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42Now, we have a very fun science experiment to try this afternoon.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44So how many people like science?

0:02:44 > 0:02:47Science is obviously very popular in this school.

0:02:47 > 0:02:51The experiment we're going to try this afternoon uses a principle

0:02:51 > 0:02:52called osmosis.

0:02:52 > 0:02:58Now, that's a really complicated word that means, how a substance

0:02:58 > 0:03:02can be absorbed from one material to another, so a bit like a sponge.

0:03:02 > 0:03:06Osmosis is real, but what happens is not real, it's magic.

0:03:06 > 0:03:07Can't wait.

0:03:07 > 0:03:11Now, in order for this experiment to work, I'm going to need a helper.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14Who would like to help me?

0:03:14 > 0:03:17How about Richard? Do you want to come up, Richard?

0:03:17 > 0:03:21And if you wanna stand just here for me, that'd be great.

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Richard's about to become part of an amazing magic trick.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Perfect. OK, so in Richard's body, just like all of us,

0:03:27 > 0:03:30he has veins and arteries which carry a liquid,

0:03:30 > 0:03:32in this case blood,

0:03:32 > 0:03:34to all the organs in his body and keeps him alive.

0:03:34 > 0:03:39Now, not a lot of people know that there's a vein, or an artery,

0:03:39 > 0:03:42that runs from the tip of his left hand ring finger,

0:03:42 > 0:03:45all the way up his arm into his heart.

0:03:45 > 0:03:48- Did you know that?- Yes. - You do know that?

0:03:48 > 0:03:50There's another one that runs from his heart,

0:03:50 > 0:03:53all the way down his other arm into his right hand ring finger.

0:03:53 > 0:03:57The class totally believe mysterious James is a teacher.

0:03:57 > 0:04:01Now, what we're going to try and do is send a liquid all the way

0:04:01 > 0:04:05through Richard, from one hand to another, using osmosis.

0:04:05 > 0:04:07What? That's ridiculous!

0:04:07 > 0:04:10Surely it's impossible. I have to see this!

0:04:10 > 0:04:12Well, I've got that liquid here.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15Nice, thick, green liquid, so you can see it.

0:04:15 > 0:04:19Ugh! That looks like milkshake! Last year's milkshake.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22And pinch the top of the straw, like that. Good. Excellent.

0:04:22 > 0:04:25Now, in order to make that liquid go up the straw

0:04:25 > 0:04:28and into his finger and all the way through,

0:04:28 > 0:04:31we're going to have to make a pump to suck the liquid up.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34So, Richard, with your right arm, hold it up straight like this,

0:04:34 > 0:04:37and I want you to start a pumping action like this, really fast.

0:04:37 > 0:04:39It's time to pump up the magic.

0:04:39 > 0:04:43Keep going, keep going! And you can see... Look, the liquid is...

0:04:43 > 0:04:47Watch! He's making the gloopy liquid disappear up his arm.

0:04:47 > 0:04:49Now lift your left arm in the air.

0:04:49 > 0:04:50Excellent. Give it a shake.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53We'll let that liquid run down, using gravity, into his shoulder.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56Then with this arm, I want you to reach down and give it

0:04:56 > 0:04:58a little shake there, a little shake.

0:04:58 > 0:05:01Clench your fist tight. We don't want any water to come out.

0:05:01 > 0:05:05You can put this one down. Now, hopefully, if that's worked,

0:05:05 > 0:05:07you put your hand right the way in the funnel.

0:05:07 > 0:05:09That's great, then with your other arm,

0:05:09 > 0:05:12create that pump again, you'll have to work really hard this time.

0:05:12 > 0:05:14And it's just working its way through.

0:05:14 > 0:05:17It's working its way... And there we go!

0:05:17 > 0:05:19Now the gloop's coming out of his other arm!

0:05:19 > 0:05:23It's gone all the way through his body, all the way out his other arm.

0:05:23 > 0:05:26Look at that. Oh, wait, oh, look, it's stopping, it's stopping.

0:05:26 > 0:05:28Go faster, go faster, go faster.

0:05:28 > 0:05:30Faster, faster, faster.

0:05:30 > 0:05:34And there's more of that green goodness. This is unreal!

0:05:34 > 0:05:36I think that's about all of it.

0:05:36 > 0:05:40Well done, Richard, you did very well at that experiment.

0:05:40 > 0:05:43Wonderful! And you can go and sit back down.

0:05:43 > 0:05:45Richard's become a human funnel,

0:05:45 > 0:05:48but it's time for James to spill the juice.

0:05:48 > 0:05:51I'm not really a teacher. I'm a magician.

0:05:51 > 0:05:53PUPIL: And that's why...

0:05:53 > 0:05:57And not only that, if you see the silver boxes, just in here,

0:05:57 > 0:05:59and at the back, and there,

0:05:59 > 0:06:04you are all being filmed for a new CBBC show called

0:06:04 > 0:06:06Help! My Supply Teacher is Magic.

0:06:07 > 0:06:11He did it! James's brilliant human funnel trick

0:06:11 > 0:06:13has totally fooled the class.

0:06:13 > 0:06:17It was so scary because it was like it was like some magic goo.

0:06:17 > 0:06:19First, James made the liquid look like

0:06:19 > 0:06:22it was being absorbed through Richard's fingers.

0:06:22 > 0:06:27It's just so incredible how the liquid can go up the arm.

0:06:27 > 0:06:30Then, he made it pour out of Richard's other hand,

0:06:30 > 0:06:31back into the glass.

0:06:31 > 0:06:35There was, like, jelly coming out of his hand.

0:06:35 > 0:06:37Oh, it was very cool.

0:06:37 > 0:06:42James pulled it off, the class had no idea he was a magician.

0:06:42 > 0:06:46Would you realise your supply teacher was magic?

0:06:50 > 0:06:54Later on, Katherine will also be going undercover

0:06:54 > 0:06:55as a supply teacher.

0:06:55 > 0:06:58Grandma Mills's very old measuring bowls.

0:06:58 > 0:07:02She'll make this class's jaws drop to the floor.

0:07:02 > 0:07:03Wow! Look at all that milk.

0:07:03 > 0:07:05Is this your class?

0:07:05 > 0:07:09Look at that, there's plenty of milk in there.

0:07:09 > 0:07:12I have one of my grandmother's old bowls here.

0:07:12 > 0:07:16Let's see if I can magic up a lot more milk.

0:07:19 > 0:07:21Give it a little shake.

0:07:21 > 0:07:25And as you can see, the milk has doubled.

0:07:27 > 0:07:31Can we get a new bowl, please?

0:07:31 > 0:07:33This is John, he'll teach you the secret

0:07:33 > 0:07:35behind the trick you can use on your mates

0:07:35 > 0:07:37to blow their minds.

0:07:39 > 0:07:42If you fancy yourself as a magician, here's a trick you can try

0:07:42 > 0:07:47on your mates. You need a bowl and an old drinks carton like this,

0:07:47 > 0:07:50with three holes in it, and it needs to be half full

0:07:50 > 0:07:52of your favourite drink.

0:07:52 > 0:07:54John likes orange squash, who can blame him?

0:07:54 > 0:07:57If you haven't got them already, go and get them now.

0:07:57 > 0:07:59Go on, quick, hurry!

0:07:59 > 0:08:02In the meantime, John will wait here for you.

0:08:02 > 0:08:04Are you back? Good.

0:08:04 > 0:08:07Do you know how to fill the carton with liquid and then,

0:08:07 > 0:08:09as it comes out of the holes,

0:08:09 > 0:08:12knot the streams a little together, like this?

0:08:12 > 0:08:18Can you work it out? I thought KNOT. Get knot? Get...? It doesn't matter.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21Keep watching and you'll find out later in the show.

0:08:21 > 0:08:23Right now, though, handy Fergus is about to do

0:08:23 > 0:08:25something amazing in the air museum

0:08:25 > 0:08:28with a trick that you'll never be able to work out.

0:08:28 > 0:08:31Boys, I've got three 2p coins.

0:08:31 > 0:08:33- OK.- Yeah. - This is Alex and Jake,

0:08:33 > 0:08:37they have no idea that they're about to star in their own magic show.

0:08:37 > 0:08:39Take them and have a look at them,

0:08:39 > 0:08:42make sure they're normal. One of you will have to take two.

0:08:42 > 0:08:45Just make sure they don't bend or fold

0:08:45 > 0:08:47or there's not another coin inside them.

0:08:47 > 0:08:50And then tell me when you're happy.

0:08:50 > 0:08:53Yeah? I'd like you to place them back on my hand, one at a time.

0:08:53 > 0:08:57So, that's one, two, three.

0:08:57 > 0:08:59Good. So how many coins?

0:08:59 > 0:09:00- Three.- Three.- Three?- Three.

0:09:00 > 0:09:04They're going to travel, one at a time, from this hand,

0:09:04 > 0:09:06over to that hand.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08- Whoa! - That's now two here.

0:09:08 > 0:09:09Whoa! How did that happen?

0:09:09 > 0:09:12I want to watch that more closely this time.

0:09:12 > 0:09:15- But I don't want this one to be lonely.- Yeah.- Yeah.

0:09:15 > 0:09:20I'm going to get one more to join this first one. Watch, ready?

0:09:20 > 0:09:21- Wow!- That's now two here.

0:09:21 > 0:09:25- Whoa!- Whoa!- The coins change hands without the hands touching.

0:09:25 > 0:09:27That's incredible stuff!

0:09:27 > 0:09:31- Awesome.- I'd like you to keep your eye on the last coin, OK?

0:09:31 > 0:09:34Cos that's gonna jump over and join these two.

0:09:37 > 0:09:41- Wow!- Three coins.- Whoa! - That's epic, that's just amazing.

0:09:41 > 0:09:44I love it, and so did they.

0:09:44 > 0:09:45That is just...

0:09:47 > 0:09:49That was just awesome!

0:09:49 > 0:09:51That was amazing!

0:09:51 > 0:09:53Probably the best thing I've ever seen.

0:09:53 > 0:09:55- He made them travel across. - It was so good.

0:09:55 > 0:09:59I'm going to get one more to join this first one. Watch, ready?

0:09:59 > 0:10:02Just how it travelled across in mid air.

0:10:02 > 0:10:06- Suddenly, you didn't see it, and then he just had two, and one.- Yeah.

0:10:06 > 0:10:11- It was awesome cos...- Yeah.- You just can't work out how he did it.- Yeah.

0:10:11 > 0:10:13It's just epic, you know.

0:10:14 > 0:10:18We've got another great magic trick that will leave members

0:10:18 > 0:10:20of the public saying, "That was awesome,"

0:10:20 > 0:10:24coming up, but right now, we have something amazing for you.

0:10:24 > 0:10:28This is the Interactive Illusion.

0:10:28 > 0:10:32This is a trick that you can take part in at home. So come on,

0:10:32 > 0:10:34get close up to the screen. Yeah.

0:10:34 > 0:10:36Not that close, you'll get nose marks on the telly.

0:10:36 > 0:10:40Here to talk you through the magic is James.

0:10:43 > 0:10:46Now I have a trick for all you people at home.

0:10:46 > 0:10:49It's a card trick, but don't worry, you don't need any cards,

0:10:49 > 0:10:51I've got them here.

0:10:52 > 0:10:56I want you to think of any one of these cards, any one you want,

0:10:56 > 0:10:58but think of it now.

0:10:58 > 0:11:00Keep thinking of your card.

0:11:00 > 0:11:04I'm going to mix them all up.

0:11:04 > 0:11:07Great. I think I know which card you were thinking of,

0:11:07 > 0:11:09so I'm just going to take it away.

0:11:09 > 0:11:14If I was right, the card that you were thinking of has now gone.

0:11:14 > 0:11:18That is amazing! Did it work for you?

0:11:19 > 0:11:22Whoa! My card wasn't there!

0:11:22 > 0:11:25Every week we are bringing you the top five chart

0:11:25 > 0:11:28of new magicians on the block.

0:11:28 > 0:11:33I've got my laptop and I've got my bowl of dried fruit

0:11:33 > 0:11:37because sometimes, Iain Stirling enjoys a healthy option.

0:11:37 > 0:11:39Hit it.

0:11:39 > 0:11:42We asked you to send in clips of yourself performing

0:11:42 > 0:11:44your best magic tricks.

0:11:44 > 0:11:47We received loads of clips from all over the country.

0:11:47 > 0:11:51Each week I will be choosing my five favourite Wannabe Wizards

0:11:51 > 0:11:52and showing them to you guys.

0:11:52 > 0:11:56Number five this time is Tommy from Guildford.

0:11:56 > 0:12:00Watch his hands, he's going to make this card disappear.

0:12:00 > 0:12:02And it's not just one card he can do.

0:12:02 > 0:12:05Oh, no, he can do four.

0:12:05 > 0:12:08Oh, yeah! Check out his moonwalk on the landing

0:12:08 > 0:12:12while he makes this card disappear and then reappear.

0:12:12 > 0:12:16Very arty. Let's get a rewind.

0:12:16 > 0:12:19Great moves, looking good.

0:12:19 > 0:12:22I love this trick that much.

0:12:23 > 0:12:27But not as much as this trick by Nathan from Douglas.

0:12:27 > 0:12:33Have any of you seen a die as big and shiny as this ball?

0:12:33 > 0:12:36I'm sure you'll agree, that is a very big, shiny die.

0:12:36 > 0:12:41Because I like this die to be shiny,

0:12:42 > 0:12:46I keep this in this box to protect it from the dust.

0:12:46 > 0:12:49Good idea, Nathan, nothing worse than a dusty die.

0:12:49 > 0:12:53Do you reckon I push this tube straight through this die?

0:12:53 > 0:12:55Well, in theory, no, you can't.

0:12:55 > 0:12:58No matter, I'm gonna try it anyway.

0:12:58 > 0:13:02- So let's see. - Hold your breath, he's going in!

0:13:02 > 0:13:05Two, one...

0:13:08 > 0:13:11Uh-oh! The die has disappeared! Or has it?

0:13:11 > 0:13:16I seem to have shrunk my die to a cylinder.

0:13:16 > 0:13:19- Thank you.- No, thank you, Nathan.

0:13:19 > 0:13:23That trick was to DIE for. And here's an even better card trick.

0:13:23 > 0:13:27It's Phoebe from Leeds. Like Nathan, she has a box which is magic.

0:13:27 > 0:13:31- Would you like to pick a card? - She's also got a friend to help her.

0:13:33 > 0:13:35Now look at it.

0:13:35 > 0:13:37The three of clubs. Remember that card.

0:13:37 > 0:13:39Then put it on there and put it towards you,

0:13:39 > 0:13:41and I'll just give it a shuffle.

0:13:41 > 0:13:44Phoebe has shuffled the three of clubs back into the pack.

0:13:44 > 0:13:46It's now in the pack of cards, right?

0:13:46 > 0:13:51But people usually have assistants, like a woman or sometimes a man.

0:13:51 > 0:13:52I've got a box.

0:13:52 > 0:13:57Her unusual assistant is a box, but it's a box of tricks.

0:13:57 > 0:13:59Watch this.

0:13:59 > 0:14:02Ta-da! Amazing!

0:14:02 > 0:14:05It produced the three of clubs. Nice work, Phoebe.

0:14:05 > 0:14:09Act two, James from Chelmsford hasn't got a magic box,

0:14:09 > 0:14:11but he has got an empty brown paper bag.

0:14:14 > 0:14:18If the bag's empty, why are you reaching into it?

0:14:18 > 0:14:21How did that get in there? And what is it?

0:14:24 > 0:14:27Now, that bag is definitely empty, right?

0:14:27 > 0:14:30Click of the fingers...

0:14:30 > 0:14:33You're thinking he can't do it again, aren't you?

0:14:33 > 0:14:37Whoa! It's another one of those things.

0:14:39 > 0:14:43Have a good look this time. The bag is completely empty, isn't it?

0:14:44 > 0:14:48He clicks his fingers again.

0:14:48 > 0:14:49Guess what's coming out this time.

0:14:49 > 0:14:54Yeah, it's another one of those box things, and it's pink this time.

0:14:56 > 0:14:59Impressive enough. How did he get all of those into the bag?

0:14:59 > 0:15:03But the best is yet to come, you're going to love this.

0:15:03 > 0:15:06So, there's nothing in his hands and there's nothing in the bag.

0:15:06 > 0:15:09But hang on, what's this?

0:15:11 > 0:15:13It's a giant drinking straw.

0:15:13 > 0:15:15How on earth did that get into the tiny bag?

0:15:15 > 0:15:19And where did the ceiling from his lounge go?

0:15:19 > 0:15:23Seemingly impossible, definitely amazing.

0:15:23 > 0:15:25Who's my favourite though?

0:15:25 > 0:15:27I'm not going to tell you yet,

0:15:27 > 0:15:30not before I put on my funny chart show voice.

0:15:30 > 0:15:33At five, it's Tommy and his moonwalk card trick. Oww!

0:15:33 > 0:15:37Nathan was shining with his die trick at four.

0:15:37 > 0:15:42Phoebe's box of tricks got her to three.

0:15:43 > 0:15:46James bagged the number two spot.

0:15:47 > 0:15:52But out of the tons of Wannabe Wizards, my top one this time was...

0:15:52 > 0:15:54Jamie from Epsom,

0:15:54 > 0:15:57and he's got a little help from his little brother.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59- You know all the cards, don't you?- Yeah.

0:15:59 > 0:16:02Think of any one you like, apart from these two, OK?

0:16:02 > 0:16:04Those two cards are both jacks.

0:16:04 > 0:16:07Hold these, put your hand on the table like that,

0:16:07 > 0:16:10thumb up, and clip those with your thumb.

0:16:10 > 0:16:14This trick will deserve a big thumbs-up, so keep watching.

0:16:14 > 0:16:16Hand over. That's it.

0:16:16 > 0:16:18Now, have you got a card in mind?

0:16:18 > 0:16:20- Yes.- You can say it to me.

0:16:20 > 0:16:22The four of diamonds.

0:16:22 > 0:16:25The four of diamonds is now invisible.

0:16:25 > 0:16:29I'm going to find it, I can see it. I've got the special glasses.

0:16:29 > 0:16:32Remember, the four of diamonds is now invisible and Jamie

0:16:32 > 0:16:34has special glasses. Honestly.

0:16:36 > 0:16:40- Right here, look, on the table. Can you see it?- No, I can't.

0:16:40 > 0:16:42It's invisible, see?

0:16:42 > 0:16:45I mean, you can't see. You get the idea.

0:16:45 > 0:16:49Spades, the queen of diamonds, the five of spades.

0:16:49 > 0:16:52- You could have said any of them, you said the...?- Four of diamonds.

0:16:52 > 0:16:54Would you mind taking off your hand?

0:16:54 > 0:16:57You see, there's one card in the middle of the jacks, face down.

0:16:57 > 0:17:01We started off with the jack of diamonds, jack of clubs and one card.

0:17:01 > 0:17:05- You said the...?- Four of diamonds. - This card is the...?

0:17:05 > 0:17:08Yes, indeed, it's the four of diamonds. Unbelievable!

0:17:08 > 0:17:10Jamie, you're a diamond.

0:17:11 > 0:17:15I can't wait until next time for more Wannabe Wizards.

0:17:15 > 0:17:18Now it's time for some Iain Stirling magic.

0:17:18 > 0:17:22I'm going to turn around and instantly customise

0:17:22 > 0:17:27the colour of my jumper to bright pink, using nothing but magic.

0:17:28 > 0:17:30On the count of three, here we go.

0:17:30 > 0:17:32One, two...

0:17:32 > 0:17:35PHONE RINGS

0:17:35 > 0:17:38Sorry. Hi, Mum.

0:17:39 > 0:17:42No, it's not washable paint.

0:17:42 > 0:17:46Yes, they know not to try it at home.

0:17:46 > 0:17:48Look, I'm having some technical problems,

0:17:48 > 0:17:50you just see what's coming up.

0:17:50 > 0:17:53Have you worked out the secret to John's challenge?

0:17:53 > 0:17:57If you haven't already got a bowl, an old drinks carton like this,

0:17:57 > 0:18:01half full with your favourite drink, go and get them now. Go on, hurry!

0:18:01 > 0:18:03And watch what happens when Katherine goes undercover

0:18:03 > 0:18:05in another school.

0:18:05 > 0:18:07We get some delicious...

0:18:07 > 0:18:12Could it be your class? Could your supply teacher be magic?

0:18:12 > 0:18:17In Undercover Magic, we hide cameras in all sorts of places.

0:18:17 > 0:18:20Our magicians play tricks on members of the public who don't know

0:18:20 > 0:18:22they're being filmed.

0:18:23 > 0:18:27Fergus is in this cafe to play a trick on Josephine.

0:18:27 > 0:18:31She's been set up by her mum and she has no idea what's about to happen.

0:18:31 > 0:18:33Fergus is playing with a Rubik's cube,

0:18:33 > 0:18:36and seemingly minding his own business.

0:18:36 > 0:18:40He's going to do some magic with the cube, so keep your eyes on it.

0:18:40 > 0:18:43Excuse me, sorry, have you ever done one of these?

0:18:43 > 0:18:45Yeah, but I'm not good at it.

0:18:45 > 0:18:47Are you not good, so you can't give me any tips?

0:18:47 > 0:18:49I'm really struggling.

0:18:49 > 0:18:51Every time I mix it up more, it just gets, well, obviously,

0:18:51 > 0:18:53more and more mixed.

0:18:53 > 0:18:57The magic's about to happen and it's going to be great.

0:18:57 > 0:18:59I did see a guy, now that I think about it, once,

0:18:59 > 0:19:00and he did it really quick.

0:19:00 > 0:19:03He literally just took the cube, shook it,

0:19:03 > 0:19:07- and then the whole thing was done. - Whoa!- But I can't do...

0:19:10 > 0:19:13The only puzzle is, how did he do it? Unbelievable!

0:19:13 > 0:19:16Trust me, I can't do that.

0:19:17 > 0:19:20And he just flicked it and it went all into place.

0:19:20 > 0:19:24A quick flick of the wrist and boom, the puzzle's solved.

0:19:24 > 0:19:27I'm really surprised how he done it.

0:19:27 > 0:19:30I've never seen any magic like that before.

0:19:30 > 0:19:33It's the moment you've been waiting for, a chance for you to learn

0:19:33 > 0:19:35how to fool your friends.

0:19:35 > 0:19:39Me and John challenged you to fill a carton with your favourite drink,

0:19:39 > 0:19:42put three holes in it and then, as the drink comes out,

0:19:42 > 0:19:46tie it in a knot. come on, have you worked it out?

0:19:46 > 0:19:50How many of you got it? Maybe you think it's a bit of string. No.

0:19:50 > 0:19:53What about freezing the liquid? No way!

0:19:53 > 0:19:56Is it a camera trick? Uh-uh. Come on!

0:19:56 > 0:19:59Place your finger over all three holes.

0:19:59 > 0:20:02When you take your finger away, the streams of liquid,

0:20:02 > 0:20:06in this case Orange Squash, look like they've tied together.

0:20:06 > 0:20:10Did you get it? Are you amazing already?

0:20:10 > 0:20:14Now you've all got something to show off with in the playground.

0:20:14 > 0:20:17And now Fergus is about to show off another one of his tricks

0:20:17 > 0:20:18in the air museum.

0:20:18 > 0:20:22I'd like to show you something with a bottle and a cap.

0:20:22 > 0:20:23This is Alex and Jake again.

0:20:23 > 0:20:27They're about to star in another magic trick. Watch carefully.

0:20:27 > 0:20:30You've seen these two items before, right?

0:20:30 > 0:20:31- Yeah. Yeah, yeah.- Yeah. Yeah.

0:20:31 > 0:20:35What I want you to do is to keep your eye on the bottom of the bottle.

0:20:35 > 0:20:36Yeah, OK.

0:20:36 > 0:20:39And you to keep your eye on the cap.

0:20:39 > 0:20:43Something very special is going to happen, on the count of three.

0:20:43 > 0:20:46One, two...

0:20:46 > 0:20:49Whoa! Where did it go? I can hear it in the bottle.

0:20:49 > 0:20:52I've got to see that again. Let's get a rewind.

0:20:52 > 0:20:55One, two, three.

0:20:55 > 0:21:01The bottle is solid and that was some solid gold magic.

0:21:01 > 0:21:04The cap has gone right inside the bottle.

0:21:04 > 0:21:08See, they can't get the cap out. Doesn't matter how hard they try.

0:21:08 > 0:21:12I don't know how he did it, cos the bottle was hard at the end

0:21:12 > 0:21:14and it went straight through.

0:21:14 > 0:21:18I mean, I really don't know how he did it, cos it was just amazing.

0:21:18 > 0:21:19It's just brilliant.

0:21:19 > 0:21:23Fergus has a lot of bottle. Awesome trick!

0:21:23 > 0:21:28Watch me now as I put this cap through the bottom of this bottle.

0:21:28 > 0:21:30Pretty impressive.

0:21:33 > 0:21:37I can't get the cap off. We're going to need another bottle!

0:21:37 > 0:21:38Yeah.

0:21:38 > 0:21:41OK, now it's time for our magician, Katherine,

0:21:41 > 0:21:43to fool another unsuspecting class.

0:21:43 > 0:21:45She's at another school,

0:21:45 > 0:21:50she is going undercover as a supply teacher to do an incredible trick.

0:21:50 > 0:21:53Is it your school? Is it your class?

0:21:53 > 0:21:58And will the class realise that their supply teacher is magic?

0:21:58 > 0:22:01Here's a class of Year Fours. They don't know it yet, but Katherine's

0:22:01 > 0:22:06about to give them a cooking lesson where the main ingredient is magic.

0:22:06 > 0:22:09But will they be eating out of her hands?

0:22:09 > 0:22:12None of them suspect there are cameras hidden in their classroom

0:22:12 > 0:22:15or realise Katherine's not a real teacher. But can she keep it up?

0:22:15 > 0:22:18Good morning, everyone. Today, I'll be showing you all

0:22:18 > 0:22:22how to make banana crispy cakes.

0:22:22 > 0:22:25- CLASS: Whoa! - That got their attention.

0:22:25 > 0:22:27It's really, really fun, so I've got my baking tin,

0:22:27 > 0:22:29my mixing bowls,

0:22:32 > 0:22:34- my spoon.- No magic wand?

0:22:34 > 0:22:39And I wouldn't be without these. These are my grandmother's.

0:22:39 > 0:22:44Grandma Mills's very special, very old measuring bowls.

0:22:44 > 0:22:46I'll show you them a little bit later.

0:22:46 > 0:22:51So, the first thing we need when we're making banana crispy cakes

0:22:51 > 0:22:55is the crispy bits. So, for that we need some cereal.

0:22:55 > 0:22:58I wonder if Grandma Mills is magic, too.

0:22:58 > 0:23:00Now, you can use any cereal that you like.

0:23:00 > 0:23:05So, we've got the cereal here, and I'm just going to pour it into one

0:23:05 > 0:23:11of Grandma Mills's measuring bowls. There we go, that's perfect.

0:23:13 > 0:23:17So there we go, we've got 350 grams of cereal there.

0:23:17 > 0:23:21But actually, there's a lot of you in this classroom, isn't there?

0:23:21 > 0:23:23This won't go around everybody.

0:23:23 > 0:23:25Should have bought a family pack, Katherine.

0:23:25 > 0:23:29I think we're probably going to need double the amount of this.

0:23:29 > 0:23:32Mmm... I know what to do.

0:23:32 > 0:23:35This is what my grandmother taught me.

0:23:35 > 0:23:39All I have to do is take the other measuring bowl...

0:23:39 > 0:23:41- What's she doing now?- Pop it on top

0:23:41 > 0:23:46and give the cereal a good shake, like this.

0:23:49 > 0:23:55And we should get, look at that, loads more cereal.

0:23:55 > 0:23:59The maize has multiplied, how is that happening?

0:23:59 > 0:24:02Double the amount, so that should be plenty for everybody.

0:24:02 > 0:24:05We'll get rid of all of that in there,

0:24:05 > 0:24:06I'll empty them all out.

0:24:06 > 0:24:09They're excited, I can hear their stomachs rumbling!

0:24:09 > 0:24:14The next thing we need when we're making banana crispy cakes

0:24:14 > 0:24:17is bananas, so I've got my banana here.

0:24:19 > 0:24:23Mmm... So, I'll just put all the banana in there like that

0:24:23 > 0:24:27and then just give it a good mix up.

0:24:28 > 0:24:31Wow, that's really starting to come together now, isn't it?

0:24:31 > 0:24:34Do you think it looks a little bit dry though?

0:24:34 > 0:24:38That cereal's like the Sahara - you know, dry.

0:24:38 > 0:24:42- What kind of liquid could we put in a cake mixture? Yes?- Milk.

0:24:42 > 0:24:44Milk, that's a great idea, milk.

0:24:44 > 0:24:46But I didn't bring any milk with me.

0:24:46 > 0:24:49No milk, no crispy cakes, unless Katherine's got

0:24:49 > 0:24:50something up her sleeves.

0:24:50 > 0:24:55I know, I remember what my grandmother used to do.

0:24:55 > 0:24:58If I shake her measuring bowls, can you hear that building up?

0:24:58 > 0:25:01This magic's going to shake up the whole class.

0:25:01 > 0:25:04Watch this, something amazing is about to happen.

0:25:04 > 0:25:06- Look. - PUPIL: That's really magic!

0:25:06 > 0:25:09- Wow, look at all that milk! - Where did that milk come from?

0:25:09 > 0:25:11Who said cow? I know it's from a cow,

0:25:11 > 0:25:13I mean, she didn't have any milk.

0:25:13 > 0:25:15That's amazing!

0:25:15 > 0:25:20Let's put all of that in, like that.

0:25:20 > 0:25:21This class can't believe it.

0:25:21 > 0:25:24A good mix up. That looks good, doesn't it?

0:25:24 > 0:25:27It looks terrible, Katherine, but it does

0:25:27 > 0:25:30- have milk in it, I'll give you that. - All we have to do now is bake it.

0:25:30 > 0:25:32So, I've got my baking tin here.

0:25:32 > 0:25:35Now, I'll give you one guess, who do you think

0:25:35 > 0:25:37this baking tin belongs to? Yes?

0:25:37 > 0:25:39PUPIL: Grandmother Mills.

0:25:39 > 0:25:40Grandma Mills. Very good.

0:25:40 > 0:25:44Good ol' Grandma Mills. She'll be proud.

0:25:44 > 0:25:47So, if we put all the ingredients and the mixture...

0:25:47 > 0:25:50Still doesn't look particularly appetising,

0:25:50 > 0:25:53but Katherine's only APPETEASING them.

0:25:53 > 0:25:56And then all we need to do is put the lid on.

0:25:56 > 0:25:58And just like my grandma used to show me,

0:25:58 > 0:26:02I just have to shake up the tin now and give it a good old shake.

0:26:02 > 0:26:04Katherine's shaking of shazam there.

0:26:04 > 0:26:08And we get something delicious!

0:26:08 > 0:26:11We've got banana crispy cakes!

0:26:11 > 0:26:16Whoa! Those actually do look good. Wonder if she could teach me.

0:26:16 > 0:26:18My cooking skills could do with a shake up.

0:26:18 > 0:26:20The class have swallowed Katherine's story,

0:26:20 > 0:26:24but it's time to get to the crunch and tell them our magical secret.

0:26:24 > 0:26:27Well, I'll tell you one thing, I'm not a teacher.

0:26:28 > 0:26:33I'm a magician. And this wasn't really just a cooking lesson,

0:26:33 > 0:26:35this was a magic trick, and right now,

0:26:35 > 0:26:39you're all being filmed to be on a new CBBC TV show

0:26:39 > 0:26:42called Help! My Supply Teacher Is Magic.

0:26:42 > 0:26:47There's a camera over there, and over there, and over there.

0:26:51 > 0:26:56She did it! Katherine's brilliant trick has totally fooled the class.

0:27:00 > 0:27:04First, she doubled the amount of crispies using her magical

0:27:04 > 0:27:05measuring bowls.

0:27:05 > 0:27:07I didn't know how she done it.

0:27:07 > 0:27:09Then, she made milk appear from nowhere.

0:27:09 > 0:27:11Wow! Look at all that milk!

0:27:11 > 0:27:15And finally, she made crispy cakes in mere seconds.

0:27:15 > 0:27:17It was magic.

0:27:17 > 0:27:21Katherine pulled it off, the class had no idea she was a magician.

0:27:21 > 0:27:25We totally got them and they loved it!

0:27:29 > 0:27:34See you next week, but remember, if your teacher suddenly starts

0:27:34 > 0:27:38working wonders, you may need to shout,

0:27:38 > 0:27:41"Help! My supply teacher is magic!"

0:27:41 > 0:27:43Subtitles by Red Bee Media Ltd
