0:01:02 > 0:01:06towards becoming epic - have you ever wanted to do the moonwalk?

0:01:06 > 0:01:09Lucky for you, we've got this guy to help.

0:01:09 > 0:01:12Yo, wassup? It's me, Turbo.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15I'm a street dancer and I'm going to show you the moonwalk.

0:01:15 > 0:01:18Get ready, people - it's the legendary moonwalk,

0:01:18 > 0:01:21the dancefloor classic beloved of Michael Jackson...

0:01:21 > 0:01:23Ow!

0:01:25 > 0:01:27..that dude...

0:01:27 > 0:01:30and even them.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35The moonwalk, originally known as the backslide, is one of the most

0:01:35 > 0:01:38iconic street dance moves. You have to know it!

0:01:38 > 0:01:40Er, that's why YOU'RE here.

0:01:40 > 0:01:44First off, start with your balance central and your knees slightly bent.

0:01:44 > 0:01:48# Knees bent, arms stretched, rah rah rah! # Is that street?

0:01:48 > 0:01:50Bend your right knee, putting all the pressure

0:01:50 > 0:01:52and weight onto your right leg.

0:01:52 > 0:01:56As you bring your right foot down you will slide your left foot back.

0:01:56 > 0:02:00- We're with you so far. - Then you switch to the other side.

0:02:00 > 0:02:02Bend your left knee, putting the weight

0:02:02 > 0:02:04and pressure on your left foot.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06As you bring your heel down onto your left foot,

0:02:06 > 0:02:09- you slide your right foot back at the same time.- Easy!

0:02:09 > 0:02:12Then keep switching from right to left, and left to right,

0:02:12 > 0:02:16and with a bit of practice, you'll have it down just like this.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21Look at Turbo go! This guy is owning that deserted skate park!

0:02:24 > 0:02:30- And THAT is how you do the moonwalk. - Good skills! Bad hat. Thanks, Turbo!

0:02:30 > 0:02:32Epic hit number one is over,

0:02:32 > 0:02:35but there's much more random epicness on its way.

0:02:35 > 0:02:38Next, do you have bad breath? Nope, me neither.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42But let's say we know someone who does - this will help them out...

0:02:42 > 0:02:44Wink, wink!

0:02:46 > 0:02:48You... I mean, THEY, are in luck,

0:02:48 > 0:02:50because we have Dr Chris Van Tulleken

0:02:50 > 0:02:53from Operation Ouch to keep your breath minty fresh.

0:02:53 > 0:02:57- I'm Dr Chris and I'm going to tell you how to avoid bad breath.- Nice.

0:02:57 > 0:02:58Oh, not nice!

0:02:58 > 0:03:01Bad breath, or halitosis, to use its medical name,

0:03:01 > 0:03:04is usually caused by bacteria build-up in the mouth,

0:03:04 > 0:03:07- so it's essential you keep your mouth clean.- Yes, Doctor.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10The first thing you need to do is brush your teeth twice a day.

0:03:10 > 0:03:14Use small, circular motions on every tooth and don't brush too hard -

0:03:14 > 0:03:16- like this.- Every tooth?

0:03:16 > 0:03:19You might want to use toothpaste and water too.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22Also, brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24Watch what you eat.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Some sugary foods can help bacteria multiply in your mouth.

0:03:27 > 0:03:30Other foods can make your breath smell of that food,

0:03:30 > 0:03:33- like curry or garlic. - Mm, curry garlic breath!

0:03:33 > 0:03:36Make sure you drink plenty of water - dry mouths smell bad.

0:03:36 > 0:03:40And water is good for you, too. Bonus! Er, what are you doing?

0:03:40 > 0:03:42Floss every day to get those funny, smelly bits of food

0:03:42 > 0:03:45out from between your teeth. Eurgh!

0:03:45 > 0:03:47If you're talking to someone you've got a crush on,

0:03:47 > 0:03:51chewing gum is a must, but don't do it all the time, it's not that cool.

0:03:51 > 0:03:54- Unlike me.- If you've tried all this and you STILL think you've got

0:03:54 > 0:03:56bad breath, you need to go to the dentist.

0:03:56 > 0:03:59- You should be doing that at least once a year anyway.- Got it!

0:03:59 > 0:04:03So, if you want to avoid bad breath, brush twice a day using small,

0:04:03 > 0:04:05circular motions.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08Cut down on smelly, sugary foods, floss those pegs

0:04:08 > 0:04:11and occasionally chew gum to please your crush. Nice!

0:04:11 > 0:04:14And THAT was how to avoid bad breath.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18Thank you, Dr Chris. My stinky breath days are gone.

0:04:18 > 0:04:20So, on we go for some more epicocity.

0:04:22 > 0:04:25From bad breath to playing the bagpipes - the most epic

0:04:25 > 0:04:27Scottish instrument there is.

0:04:27 > 0:04:28But how do you play them?

0:04:29 > 0:04:33Well, who better to answer that question than super-fun

0:04:33 > 0:04:35bagpipe band Drums'N'Roses?

0:04:37 > 0:04:41And one of them is going to tell you how to play them. Nice kilt!

0:04:41 > 0:04:43Hi, I'm Craig and I'm from Drums'N'Roses. I'll show you

0:04:43 > 0:04:45how to play the bagpipes.

0:04:45 > 0:04:47Bagpipes are a very difficult instrument to play.

0:04:47 > 0:04:49You have to do four different things at one time.

0:04:49 > 0:04:52Master that, and you can get everyone up to dance.

0:04:52 > 0:04:54First, you need to get used to holding the bagpipe.

0:04:54 > 0:04:56This is the bag and it goes under your left arm.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59These pipes, called drones, should always be over your shoulder.

0:04:59 > 0:05:01This is a chanter.

0:05:01 > 0:05:02You have your left hand to the top

0:05:02 > 0:05:05and your right at the bottom to cover the holes,

0:05:05 > 0:05:08very like a recorder and it's what makes the sound of the bagpipes.

0:05:08 > 0:05:09This is the mouthpiece.

0:05:09 > 0:05:12This is where you blow into to get the bag inflated.

0:05:12 > 0:05:16You move your elbow in and out to keep the air within the bag

0:05:16 > 0:05:18circulating, then you're ready to play.

0:05:18 > 0:05:21Start off with something very simple, move your fingers up

0:05:21 > 0:05:24and down the chanter, and it should sound something like this.

0:05:24 > 0:05:26Oh, wait for it.

0:05:26 > 0:05:29PLAYS BAGPIPES

0:05:32 > 0:05:35I don't quite recognise that one, anything else?

0:05:35 > 0:05:38- Then when you become really good, you can play Lady Gaga.- Oh, yes!

0:05:41 > 0:05:43HE HUMS ALONG TO PIPES

0:05:43 > 0:05:47# Caught in a bad romance. # Oh, I do love Lady Gaga.

0:05:50 > 0:05:52I tell you what, he's good.

0:05:52 > 0:05:55To play the bagpipes, make sure you've got the pipes

0:05:55 > 0:05:57or drones over your left or right shoulder

0:05:57 > 0:05:59depending on what hand you write with.

0:05:59 > 0:06:02Inflate the bag, circulate the air with your elbow

0:06:02 > 0:06:06and play notes on the chanter which is like playing the recorder.

0:06:06 > 0:06:08Nice and easy.

0:06:08 > 0:06:10Once you've mastered the instrument,

0:06:10 > 0:06:13get your mates together and do this.

0:06:21 > 0:06:23Nice nails.

0:06:29 > 0:06:33- That's how you play the bagpipes. - Are you feeling epic yet?

0:06:33 > 0:06:36Well, we're not even halfway to full epicness.

0:06:36 > 0:06:38There's still all this to come.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41This girl shows you how to do this cool skate trick.

0:06:41 > 0:06:43And that is how you do a pop shove.

0:06:43 > 0:06:45This guy tells you how to avoid being scammed.

0:06:45 > 0:06:47Think twice, and be streetwise.

0:06:47 > 0:06:51And we show you how to totally camouflage yourself.

0:06:51 > 0:06:53I look like a bog monster.

0:06:53 > 0:06:55It's very simple, but effective.

0:06:55 > 0:06:59First, if you're worried about coming face-to-face with a shark,

0:06:59 > 0:07:02then listen up, because this kid is about to do battle

0:07:02 > 0:07:03with one seriously bad fish.

0:07:06 > 0:07:09Sharks are most definitely epic.

0:07:09 > 0:07:11With around 400 different species of them

0:07:11 > 0:07:15swimming through the world's oceans, these bad boys rule the waves.

0:07:15 > 0:07:19And probably best avoided if you're human.

0:07:19 > 0:07:23But just say you came face-to-face with one of these finely-tuned

0:07:23 > 0:07:26killing machines... It's unlikely, but picture the scene.

0:07:28 > 0:07:31You're playing in the sea in sunny Skegness,

0:07:31 > 0:07:34you throw the ball to your mate, but they don't catch it.

0:07:34 > 0:07:36A big, angry shark does instead

0:07:36 > 0:07:39and he doesn't look like the playing catch type.

0:07:39 > 0:07:44It's suddenly shark versus kid. What do you do?

0:07:44 > 0:07:46Well, we know someone who can help.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48Hi, guys. I'm the Blowfish.

0:07:48 > 0:07:50The heavy metal marine biologist.

0:07:50 > 0:07:54- I'm going to tell you how to survive a shark attack.- Check it out.

0:07:54 > 0:07:58He's even got hair like a shark. Give us the low-down, Blowfish.

0:07:59 > 0:08:03Firstly, never swim at dawn or dusk.

0:08:03 > 0:08:05This is rush-hour for the oceans

0:08:05 > 0:08:09and this is when sharks are most likely to be out hunting.

0:08:09 > 0:08:12Yep, got that, Blowfish. What else should we know?

0:08:12 > 0:08:17Really important, if you're out swimming in deeper water, do not pee.

0:08:17 > 0:08:19It's like an alarm call for sharks

0:08:19 > 0:08:22and they will be able to track you down.

0:08:22 > 0:08:25Did he just say pee? Wait, he said don't pee.

0:08:25 > 0:08:27Repeat, do not pee!

0:08:29 > 0:08:32The vast majority of shark attacks occur from below and behind,

0:08:32 > 0:08:35so if you can look the shark in the eyes,

0:08:35 > 0:08:38you minimise your chances of being attacked.

0:08:38 > 0:08:42Swim back to shore using long, powerful strokes.

0:08:42 > 0:08:43Breaststroke is best.

0:08:43 > 0:08:47And try to always keep your eyes on the shark, this will let

0:08:47 > 0:08:50the shark know that you're strong and healthy and not worth attacking.

0:08:50 > 0:08:54OK, we've got that, Blowfish, but let's just say the shark still

0:08:54 > 0:08:56looks like he wants to take a bite out of us.

0:08:56 > 0:09:00In the unlikely event that the shark continues to investigate you,

0:09:00 > 0:09:02punch it in the eyes, gills or nose.

0:09:02 > 0:09:03Oh!

0:09:03 > 0:09:05These are very sensitive areas.

0:09:05 > 0:09:08It won't hurt the shark, but it will give it something

0:09:08 > 0:09:10to think about and it will leave you alone.

0:09:10 > 0:09:14Ah, the classic. If in doubt, punch that shark in the face.

0:09:14 > 0:09:17Obvious from the start, really, wasn't it?

0:09:17 > 0:09:20And that is how you survive a shark attack.

0:09:21 > 0:09:24Now for something completely different.

0:09:24 > 0:09:26If you want to freak out your friends, or just win

0:09:26 > 0:09:30a game of hide and seek in the most epic way possible, then listen up.

0:09:30 > 0:09:32Hi, I'm Paul 'Chalky' White,

0:09:32 > 0:09:34and I'm going to show you how to camouflage yourself.

0:09:34 > 0:09:35Ooh, exciting!

0:09:35 > 0:09:38Camouflage is a skill you can use to blend

0:09:38 > 0:09:41yourself into the surroundings so nobody can see you.

0:09:41 > 0:09:42So, the first thing I need to do

0:09:42 > 0:09:44is make sure I'm wearing the correct clothing.

0:09:44 > 0:09:46You notice the clothing I'm wearing.

0:09:46 > 0:09:48This is the closing that soldiers would wear,

0:09:48 > 0:09:51because already, without even applying camouflage, I'm starting

0:09:51 > 0:09:54to blend in with the background and that's what I'm trying to achieve.

0:09:54 > 0:09:58- Very simple, but effective. - Let's do this!

0:09:58 > 0:10:01So, what I need to do first of all, is camouflage my skin.

0:10:01 > 0:10:04And for this I'm going to use camouflage cream.

0:10:04 > 0:10:06Available in all good fancy dress shops.

0:10:06 > 0:10:08First thing I'm going to do is my hands.

0:10:08 > 0:10:10So, I'm going to go for a nice dark

0:10:10 > 0:10:12and a light colour

0:10:12 > 0:10:14and I'm just going to work it into my hands.

0:10:14 > 0:10:16I'm going to go in-between the fingers

0:10:16 > 0:10:19- and down the fingers, as well. - Looks lovely.

0:10:19 > 0:10:22Who needs fancy make up and creams when you've got this stuff?

0:10:22 > 0:10:25Then, using a mirror, we're going to apply it to our face.

0:10:25 > 0:10:26Don't forget your ears!

0:10:26 > 0:10:28NARRATOR WHISTLES

0:10:28 > 0:10:29Perfect.

0:10:29 > 0:10:33Hands and face covered, what could possibly be next? Hats!

0:10:33 > 0:10:34We need to break down that outline,

0:10:34 > 0:10:37and what we're looking for is something on our head to

0:10:37 > 0:10:39come down over our shoulders to hide that shape.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43So put on top.

0:10:43 > 0:10:45A bit of natural foliage. Let's do that.

0:10:45 > 0:10:48All we simply do, tuck in the greenery.

0:10:48 > 0:10:50Put it all together and you've got...

0:10:51 > 0:10:55What on earth is that? Oh, it's Chalky.

0:10:55 > 0:10:57And that's how you camouflage yourself.

0:10:57 > 0:10:59No kidding. Thanks, Chalky.

0:10:59 > 0:11:02OK, here's an epic tip for you all.

0:11:02 > 0:11:05Want to avoid massive phone bills and ringtone scams?

0:11:05 > 0:11:07Then you're in the right place.

0:11:07 > 0:11:10Hi, I'm Ricky, and here's how to avoid being scammed.

0:11:10 > 0:11:11PHONE BEEPS

0:11:11 > 0:11:13Sorry, just got a text message.

0:11:13 > 0:11:16If you receive a text message from a number you don't recognise

0:11:16 > 0:11:20offering you a free ringtone, then think twice and be streetwise.

0:11:20 > 0:11:23The first ringtone may be free, but the ones after it might cost you

0:11:23 > 0:11:26quite a bit and that might become pretty pricey.

0:11:26 > 0:11:28If this happens to you, find out how to stop it.

0:11:28 > 0:11:31You can usually work out who's sending you the number by searching

0:11:31 > 0:11:33online and you can usually end it by

0:11:33 > 0:11:35texting the word "Stop" to the number.

0:11:35 > 0:11:38And that's how you can avoid being scammed.

0:11:38 > 0:11:39Sage words, Ricky. Noted.

0:11:39 > 0:11:41PHONE BEEPS

0:11:41 > 0:11:44Oh, just got a message offering me a free ringtone. Result!

0:11:44 > 0:11:48Right, time for one last dose of epicness and it's a cool one.

0:11:48 > 0:11:51Here's how to do an amazing skateboard trick

0:11:51 > 0:11:52to impress your mates.

0:11:54 > 0:11:56Hi, I'm Georgie Winter

0:11:56 > 0:11:59and I'm going to teach you how to Pop Shove on a skateboard.

0:11:59 > 0:12:01Get in!

0:12:01 > 0:12:03Meet Georgie Winter.

0:12:03 > 0:12:06She's ranked in the top five female skateboarders in the UK.

0:12:06 > 0:12:08She's even been in an all-girl skating film.

0:12:08 > 0:12:13So, if anyone knows how to Pop Shove, it's her.

0:12:13 > 0:12:15First of all, get your feet in position.

0:12:15 > 0:12:17Front foot in the middle of the board, with your toes angled

0:12:17 > 0:12:20slightly towards the top and your back foot on the tail.

0:12:20 > 0:12:24OK, that's our feet position sorted. But what now?

0:12:24 > 0:12:27Crouch down and jump up. You need to scoop the board behind you.

0:12:27 > 0:12:30You do this by pushing down and back on the board.

0:12:30 > 0:12:34So, you've jumped on it and made it spin. But how do we land it?

0:12:34 > 0:12:37Keep an eye on the grip tape and once the board has spun 180 degrees,

0:12:37 > 0:12:39get your feet back on it.

0:12:40 > 0:12:43So, to do a Pop Shove, you have to have one foot on the back

0:12:43 > 0:12:45of the board and one in the middle,

0:12:45 > 0:12:47which is angled slightly forwards.

0:12:47 > 0:12:50Crouch down and as you jump, push down and back

0:12:50 > 0:12:52on the tail of the board, then watch

0:12:52 > 0:12:55it spin 180 degrees below you.

0:12:55 > 0:12:56Keep your eye on it, and then land

0:12:56 > 0:12:58both of your feet back on the board.

0:12:58 > 0:13:00Pop Shove it.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02And that is how you do a Pop Shove.

0:13:02 > 0:13:05Thanks, Georgie! Right, that's it.

0:13:05 > 0:13:09You just enjoyed 15 minutes of total random epicness.

0:13:09 > 0:13:11You should now be able to do this...

0:13:11 > 0:13:13You have to know it.

0:13:13 > 0:13:14And this...

0:13:14 > 0:13:16You can play Lady Gaga.

0:13:16 > 0:13:18- And even that... - Dry mouths smell bad.
