0:02:31 > 0:02:33That is going to be so tasty!

0:02:33 > 0:02:36But before we make it, what have we got to do first?

0:02:36 > 0:02:38ALL: Wash our hands!

0:02:38 > 0:02:41We've got to wash our hands! Let's go!

0:02:46 > 0:02:49# Roll up your sleeves Give your hands a wash

0:02:49 > 0:02:52# With slippy-dippy soap Splish, splash, splosh

0:02:52 > 0:02:55# Have you done your hands? Washed and dried?

0:02:55 > 0:02:58# Sleeves rolled up, apron tied?

0:02:58 > 0:03:02# What can you do? I can cook. #

0:03:04 > 0:03:08Now that we've washed our hands, let's get started on the recipe.

0:03:08 > 0:03:10Now this is a really refreshing drink.

0:03:10 > 0:03:14It's really healthy, too, actually. In fact, it's so good

0:03:14 > 0:03:17it makes me do a watermelon smile.

0:03:17 > 0:03:21- Say "Cheese!"- Cheese!

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Oh, beautiful big smiles.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27This is the first ingredient we're going to use

0:03:27 > 0:03:30for our watermelon cooler. I'll show you what to do.

0:03:30 > 0:03:35We have to use our dessert spoon to scoop out all of the flesh,

0:03:35 > 0:03:37which is the inside part of the watermelon.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40- What colour is the flesh?- Red.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43Yeah, it's a pinky red colour. It's really lovely.

0:03:43 > 0:03:47So take your dessert spoon, everyone, and let's get scooping.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50There we go. Dig and scoop.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53And once you've scooped it out, pop it into your bowl.

0:03:53 > 0:03:58- What if it has some seeds in it? - Oh, don't worry about those pips.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00We're going to get rid of them later on.

0:04:00 > 0:04:05- We are a bit like little diggers. I feel like a digger.- Me, too!

0:04:05 > 0:04:08Can you do some digging and scooping with us? That's it.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Get your spoon and dig and scoop.

0:04:11 > 0:04:13Dig and scoop. Dig and scoop.

0:04:13 > 0:04:17A-dig and a-scoop. A-dig and a-scoop.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21You're a brilliant digger. Keep digging and scooping with us.

0:04:21 > 0:04:25- That's it, keep digging everyone. How are you doing, Maisie?- Good.

0:04:25 > 0:04:28- Rayhan, what does yours smell like? - Cucumber.- Yeah.

0:04:28 > 0:04:33That's because watermelons are from the same family as cucumbers.

0:04:33 > 0:04:36There we go. Put the rest of the juice in there.

0:04:36 > 0:04:38The next thing we want to do

0:04:38 > 0:04:41is squeeze out all the juice from the watermelon.

0:04:41 > 0:04:45This is the best bit cos we get to get really messy.

0:04:45 > 0:04:48Move your empty watermelon over to the side.

0:04:48 > 0:04:49Bring your bowl over.

0:04:49 > 0:04:52Show me your hands. Give them a wiggle.

0:04:52 > 0:04:54- Say, "Hello!"- Hello!

0:04:54 > 0:04:57- Say, "Hello, hello, hello!" - Hello, hello, hello!

0:04:57 > 0:05:01Everyone, put your hands into the bowl and get mashing, like this.

0:05:01 > 0:05:05- Squeeze!- Squeeze!

0:05:05 > 0:05:07That's it.

0:05:07 > 0:05:11- My hands are getting all juicy-wuicy.- This is fun.

0:05:11 > 0:05:15Squeeze all of the juice out of the bits of watermelon. That's it.

0:05:15 > 0:05:19I have got a great little dance I do when mashing up melon.

0:05:19 > 0:05:23- It's called the melon mash. Would you like to do how to do it?- Yeah.

0:05:23 > 0:05:26You go, do the melon mash.

0:05:26 > 0:05:30You do the melon mash, you do the melon mash, you do the melon mash.

0:05:30 > 0:05:35Do the melon mash, do the melon mash, do the melon mash,

0:05:35 > 0:05:39- do the melon mash, do the melon mash, do the melon mash.- Yeah!

0:05:39 > 0:05:43Hey, you're really good at that. The next thing we want to do

0:05:43 > 0:05:46is add some zing to our watermelon cooler.

0:05:46 > 0:05:50And the best thing to add some zing is a lemon.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53Now to squeeze our lemon into our watermelon,

0:05:53 > 0:05:55we've got to be quite strong.

0:05:55 > 0:05:57Show me your muscles, everyone? Wowsers!

0:05:57 > 0:06:02You've got massive muscles. You're strong, too. Let's see your muscles.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05Hey, you're very strong, too. All right, everyone,

0:06:05 > 0:06:09take your lemon and squeeze it into the bowl of watermelon.

0:06:09 > 0:06:12All right, off you go everyone. Ready? Squeeze!

0:06:12 > 0:06:15Whoo-hoo! Look at all the juice coming out!

0:06:16 > 0:06:18Squeeze out all the lovely juice.

0:06:18 > 0:06:22Oh, look, our squeezed lemon looks a little bit like a monster.

0:06:22 > 0:06:27"Hello, I'm a monster. Ha, ha!"

0:06:27 > 0:06:30Who can make a monster with their lemon?

0:06:30 > 0:06:33Ooh, yeuch! Good lemon monsters, everyone.

0:06:33 > 0:06:35Once you've squeezed out all of the lemon juice,

0:06:35 > 0:06:38pop it back on in the bowl. There we go.

0:06:38 > 0:06:39The next thing we want to do

0:06:39 > 0:06:42is get all the juice out of our watermelon.

0:06:42 > 0:06:46OK? So bring the empty bowl onto your mat with the sieve on top.

0:06:46 > 0:06:50Then get your ball of watermelon and pour it through the sieve.

0:06:50 > 0:06:54- Are you ready?- Yes, we are! - Oh, that was good.

0:06:54 > 0:06:58All right, one, two, three, go!

0:06:58 > 0:07:01Whoo! What's happening to all the juice?

0:07:01 > 0:07:04- It's going into the sieve.- It is!

0:07:04 > 0:07:06And what's the bit that's left over?

0:07:06 > 0:07:08It's all the seed and stuff.

0:07:08 > 0:07:10The bit left over is called the pulp.

0:07:10 > 0:07:12We've got the pips in there too.

0:07:12 > 0:07:16Now, use your wooden spoon to squish down the pulp

0:07:16 > 0:07:18and get all the rest of the juice out.

0:07:18 > 0:07:19Squish.

0:07:19 > 0:07:21- Squash.- Squish!

0:07:21 > 0:07:24- Squish!- Squish.

0:07:24 > 0:07:27- Squish!- Squish!

0:07:27 > 0:07:29Squish, squish, squish.

0:07:29 > 0:07:32The next ingredient we're going to add, and the last ingredient,

0:07:32 > 0:07:34is something called mint.

0:07:34 > 0:07:38It's a herb and it's got such a great smell. I absolutely love it.

0:07:38 > 0:07:42Why don't you have a smell of your mint? What does it smell like?

0:07:42 > 0:07:44It smells like ice cream!

0:07:44 > 0:07:46Mint ice cream! I love mint ice cream.

0:07:46 > 0:07:49All right, let's count out our mint leaves.

0:07:49 > 0:07:53We've got three, so we can count all together, and you can join in.

0:07:53 > 0:07:56One,

0:07:56 > 0:07:57two,

0:07:57 > 0:07:59three.

0:07:59 > 0:08:01OK?

0:08:01 > 0:08:03Three mint leaves.

0:08:03 > 0:08:06And next we're going to play a fun little game with our mint leaves.

0:08:06 > 0:08:08So take your mint leaves. Put them into your hand.

0:08:08 > 0:08:11Put your hand in front of you like this.

0:08:11 > 0:08:14Put your arm up here! And like a crocodile snapping,

0:08:14 > 0:08:16go - snap!

0:08:16 > 0:08:18And then give it a wiggle. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21And now smell the mint.

0:08:21 > 0:08:24Oh! Now it smells so strong!

0:08:24 > 0:08:28Once you've done that, just move your sieve over to your empty bowl

0:08:28 > 0:08:31and pop the mint leaves into your juice.

0:08:33 > 0:08:38And the final thing we're going to do is get all your bowls

0:08:38 > 0:08:40of watermelon juice and put them into this jug,

0:08:40 > 0:08:42so everyone come over to me and I'll pour them in.

0:08:42 > 0:08:44I'll pour mine in first.

0:08:44 > 0:08:46Whoosh!

0:08:46 > 0:08:50It's got such a good colour, hasn't it! Whoosh!

0:08:50 > 0:08:52There we go. And that's it.

0:09:01 > 0:09:03All right, everyone. Let's go!

0:09:06 > 0:09:10Now, you might need to get an adult to help you put your

0:09:10 > 0:09:12watermelon cooler in the fridge.

0:09:12 > 0:09:15There we go. Right.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18Now, that shouldn't take very long to chill at all.
