0:00:04 > 0:00:07I came to skate and to go to school because in

0:00:07 > 0:00:10Russia, you only go skating.

0:00:14 > 0:00:17First British championship, silver medal.

0:00:18 > 0:00:19Very happy.

0:00:20 > 0:00:24I'm quite nervous about having pucks launched at me.

0:00:24 > 0:00:26I'm probably going to die.

0:00:28 > 0:00:29Oh!

0:00:45 > 0:00:49Destiny put ice hockey aside for another scary challenge.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52So, this is it. Can't back out now.

0:00:52 > 0:00:54- We are going to do it, OK?- Yes.

0:00:57 > 0:01:00It is really tough, and it's like against the best people in England.

0:01:00 > 0:01:02I'm with you, OK? Come on, Joshy.

0:01:02 > 0:01:06And Josh and Kloe take on their toughest battle yet.

0:01:06 > 0:01:08I don't want to watch any of the other girls,

0:01:08 > 0:01:11but obviously, I'm going to be here to watch Josh.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20It's halfway through the nerve-racking competition season.

0:01:22 > 0:01:25All around the rink, our ice stars are hard at work...

0:01:25 > 0:01:27Keep arms higher!

0:01:27 > 0:01:30..including figure skaters Josh and Kloe.

0:01:30 > 0:01:32I'm in a rush.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35It's really hard when I come from college and I literally have ten minutes

0:01:35 > 0:01:40to get here, and it is hard to get my brain, like, into the skating stuff.

0:01:40 > 0:01:44On the ice, I have to concentrate on everything 100%,

0:01:44 > 0:01:49not just to do well, but just to not injure myself.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51Concentration is everything,

0:01:51 > 0:01:54as they are training for the British Championships.

0:01:54 > 0:01:56Maybe I need a little more speed there.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01The British championship is the most important competition in the season.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04Every element, every jump, every spin,

0:02:04 > 0:02:08every step has to be absolutely ideal without any small mistakes.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11At the British Championships last year,

0:02:11 > 0:02:14Kloe skated her way into the top ten.

0:02:16 > 0:02:20And Josh put in the performance of his life and won gold.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26I'm the junior national champion.

0:02:26 > 0:02:29I have to wait for it to sink in, but...

0:02:29 > 0:02:32So this year, he is returning to defend his title.

0:02:32 > 0:02:34For me, this season,

0:02:34 > 0:02:37the most important thing for myself is just showing people

0:02:37 > 0:02:41that I am still improving, and that I am here for the long run.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44I'm not just a one-time skater.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47Starting from here, and you did just here, straight out.

0:02:47 > 0:02:50- But I'm letting go.- You should be... OK, fine, three and a half.

0:02:50 > 0:02:53And Kloe has her sights on a podium position.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56Before this season, I thought myself,

0:02:56 > 0:02:59"This season I want to do more, I want to do bigger things."

0:03:14 > 0:03:19With the competition just days away, it's time for a team talk.

0:03:19 > 0:03:23- Can you believe that the British is this week?- No, it's crazy.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26I know, I can still remember last year.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29Thinking about it, I get really nervous and I hate it.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31I've been working on, like, the mental side,

0:03:31 > 0:03:36managing your nerves and the way that you don't get out of control.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40Nerves are something Josh knows all about.

0:03:40 > 0:03:42Despite winning at the British last year,

0:03:42 > 0:03:45the pressure got too much for him at Junior Worlds

0:03:45 > 0:03:48and in his second skate, he didn't perform well at all.

0:03:49 > 0:03:54But this year, he has got a secret weapon to help him keep his nerve under control.

0:03:54 > 0:03:58I see a sports psychologist and talking to her about if the

0:03:58 > 0:04:01first jump goes wrong in the programme, how do you come back from

0:04:01 > 0:04:04that and making sure it doesn't affect the rest of the programme.

0:04:04 > 0:04:07I think nerves are one of those things that if you don't know how to

0:04:07 > 0:04:10manage it, it can really affect your skating.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13- Oh, yes.- Sometimes just like bottling them in can be worse.

0:04:13 > 0:04:18Josh is keen to teach Kloe a new technique for keeping calm and stress-free.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21- We're just going to pray that we're going to skate good.- Pray?!

0:04:21 > 0:04:23Well, not pray, just meditate.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26What we do? I don't know how to meditate.

0:04:26 > 0:04:29Close your eyes and breathe in, a really big breathe in like...

0:04:29 > 0:04:31- HE INHALES DEEPLY - Then just let it all out.

0:04:36 > 0:04:38That was great.

0:04:38 > 0:04:40We should do this with every practice.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56Destiny was lucky enough to win a skating scholarship

0:04:56 > 0:04:59when her class were given a try-out at the rink.

0:04:59 > 0:05:03One of your pupils has been talent ID-ed. Who could it be?

0:05:03 > 0:05:06Destiny!

0:05:06 > 0:05:09Since then, she has practised really hard,

0:05:09 > 0:05:12and has risen up the ranks in her bid to become a netminder.

0:05:13 > 0:05:14Great job, Destiny.

0:05:14 > 0:05:18But Charlie hitting pucks at her isn't the only scary challenge

0:05:18 > 0:05:19she's taken on.

0:05:21 > 0:05:24I heard of a charity called the Little Princess Trust

0:05:24 > 0:05:26and they take hair and make it into a wig

0:05:26 > 0:05:29for children who have an illness which has caused

0:05:29 > 0:05:30them to lose their hair.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33I think this is a great idea.

0:05:33 > 0:05:37I decided to cut my hair off because when they make it into a wig,

0:05:37 > 0:05:39I'm going to make a little girl very happy.

0:05:39 > 0:05:44Destiny is going to Bristol to meet a famous Hollywood wig-maker.

0:05:44 > 0:05:47Peter makes wigs for the stars of films like Pirates Of The Caribbean,

0:05:47 > 0:05:49Star Wars and The Hobbit.

0:05:49 > 0:05:54He also makes them for children who have lost their hair due to illnesses like cancer.

0:05:54 > 0:05:57I wig an awful lot of people in the movies I make.

0:05:57 > 0:06:00I like working with wigs, I always have done.

0:06:00 > 0:06:03All the hair is prepared here, processed,

0:06:03 > 0:06:07the wigs are made upstairs and then they are sent out all over the world.

0:06:07 > 0:06:10So Destiny is coming here to have her hair cut off.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13She's going to be donating it, so it can be put towards making

0:06:13 > 0:06:18a wig for someone going through cancer treatment and has lost their own hair.

0:06:20 > 0:06:22I know this is a very, very important thing.

0:06:22 > 0:06:24I think she is fantastically brave for doing this.

0:06:37 > 0:06:39It's the day of the British Championships.

0:06:41 > 0:06:44Figure skaters from all over the country are getting ready to battle

0:06:44 > 0:06:45it out in Sheffield.

0:06:49 > 0:06:52And Kloe has arrived early to warm up.

0:06:52 > 0:06:55Being back at the British is always nerve-racking

0:06:55 > 0:06:57but at the same time, very exciting.

0:06:57 > 0:07:00It's fun to be back.

0:07:00 > 0:07:03Skaters have to forget everything that they did last year.

0:07:03 > 0:07:06This is a new year, a new championship.

0:07:06 > 0:07:10Previous years, overall, I came sixth.

0:07:10 > 0:07:11I want to improve that.

0:07:11 > 0:07:14This year, I want to get a personal best.

0:07:15 > 0:07:18Easy, you know, that's what I needed there. All right?

0:07:18 > 0:07:20I have more difficult jumps,

0:07:20 > 0:07:23and also my spin levels are set higher.

0:07:23 > 0:07:26It is really tough, and it is like against the best people in England.

0:07:29 > 0:07:32Uh-huh. I need one more, and then enough.

0:07:32 > 0:07:36As Kloe warms up at the rink for the biggest skate of her season,

0:07:36 > 0:07:40Josh is preparing in a very different way with one last call

0:07:40 > 0:07:41to his sports psychologist.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48- Hi, Josh.- Hiya.

0:07:48 > 0:07:50How's it going?

0:07:50 > 0:07:53- It's going good, thank you.- When you actually get nervous, Josh,

0:07:53 > 0:07:55where do you feel it?

0:07:55 > 0:07:58Something I've noticed is that I can get a really dry throat.

0:07:58 > 0:08:01So that sounds like it's your body tensing...

0:08:01 > 0:08:04- Yes.- ..between the warm-up and actually when you get on.

0:08:04 > 0:08:06Remember to plug yourself to the headset.

0:08:06 > 0:08:10- Yes.- You were going to have a playlist as well going, weren't you, for that?

0:08:10 > 0:08:13Yes, just putting my headphones on and listening to those,

0:08:13 > 0:08:15and just getting in the zone

0:08:15 > 0:08:19and not thinking about what's going to happen, just letting it happen.

0:08:19 > 0:08:22You have no control on how well they do something,

0:08:22 > 0:08:24or even what's in their programme,

0:08:24 > 0:08:27but you do have control over how well you do something.

0:08:27 > 0:08:29- Yes.- And you know your programme inside out,

0:08:29 > 0:08:32and you know it has been running well, and you know you can do it.

0:08:45 > 0:08:48As if the stress of a big petition wasn't enough,

0:08:48 > 0:08:50Kloe has suffered a setback.

0:08:52 > 0:08:56Two days ago when I woke up, my leg really started to hurt, like,

0:08:56 > 0:08:59I couldn't really do any rotations or anything on the ice.

0:08:59 > 0:09:02Then I told Gurgen and I was like, "Should I even get on the ice?

0:09:02 > 0:09:04"Because I didn't feel like I could do much."

0:09:04 > 0:09:09And then he was, like, "Well, we don't have long until the British."

0:09:09 > 0:09:11Are you OK with like, hurt?

0:09:11 > 0:09:13Hurt?

0:09:14 > 0:09:15OK.

0:09:15 > 0:09:19I've never really had a pain like this before.

0:09:19 > 0:09:22The first time I felt the pain, it was worrying me because of the British,

0:09:22 > 0:09:24I knew I had two days.

0:09:24 > 0:09:30It's not very ideal that I haven't been able to do all the jumps from my programme.

0:09:30 > 0:09:31I'm just trying not to think about it

0:09:31 > 0:09:34and to just concentrate on my skate.

0:09:36 > 0:09:39Kloe will have to dig deep to stop her injury impacting on her

0:09:39 > 0:09:42performance, now just moments away.

0:09:48 > 0:09:53Pre-competition nerves have been and gone for Russian figure skater Elena.

0:09:53 > 0:09:55I found the ladybirds on my window.

0:09:55 > 0:09:57Wow!

0:09:57 > 0:10:00- They came to say good morning to you.- Yes.

0:10:01 > 0:10:05A few weeks back, she won silver at the British Championships.

0:10:05 > 0:10:08But today, she has something very different to worry about.

0:10:08 > 0:10:09Fly, fly, fly.

0:10:09 > 0:10:12Elena has just started a new school.

0:10:12 > 0:10:14She is going to give a presentation

0:10:14 > 0:10:18and is really keen to impress her new would-be friends.

0:10:18 > 0:10:19Elena, breakfast, come on.

0:10:22 > 0:10:24Wow, that looks amazing.

0:10:25 > 0:10:28- Thank you.- You're welcome.

0:10:28 > 0:10:31Well, we have the Russian breakfast right now.

0:10:31 > 0:10:36Strawberry, kiwi, and your favourite vanilla double ice cream.

0:10:37 > 0:10:42I feel a bit nervous about what the children are going to ask me.

0:10:42 > 0:10:47It is different because when I'm skating I know what I need to do.

0:10:47 > 0:10:48I'm sure you'll be fine.

0:10:51 > 0:10:53Her mum may be confident,

0:10:53 > 0:10:57but for Elena, standing in front of her class at her new school

0:10:57 > 0:10:59will take nerves of steel.

0:11:00 > 0:11:03- Have a good day. - Thank you, Mum.- You will be fine.

0:11:03 > 0:11:05Good luck with your presentation.

0:11:05 > 0:11:06- Thanks.- OK. Be good.- Bye.

0:11:18 > 0:11:24Well, boys and girls, it's not very often that we find in our form a

0:11:24 > 0:11:26world-class athlete.

0:11:26 > 0:11:28But you are the lucky ones.

0:11:28 > 0:11:33This morning, Elena is going to tell us a little bit about her life as an

0:11:33 > 0:11:34ice skater.

0:11:34 > 0:11:38Elena, when did you first start skating?

0:11:38 > 0:11:40I started skating when I was very young.

0:11:40 > 0:11:42I was only three years old.

0:11:42 > 0:11:44Three years old?

0:11:44 > 0:11:48Yes. I saw it on TV and I asked Mum if I could try it,

0:11:48 > 0:11:52but she said no, that I was too small, and I started crying.

0:11:52 > 0:11:54At last she said yes.

0:11:54 > 0:11:57What are your ambitions as a skater?

0:11:57 > 0:12:00First the Junior Worlds, then the Senior Olympics,

0:12:00 > 0:12:03and then the Senior World.

0:12:03 > 0:12:06This is a medal from the British championship.

0:12:06 > 0:12:08It is silver.

0:12:08 > 0:12:10Can you tell us about your dress?

0:12:10 > 0:12:12My dress is peppermint colour.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16It's really good and sparkly.

0:12:16 > 0:12:19What if you fell over, do you worry about falling over?

0:12:19 > 0:12:23No. I don't worry about falling over.

0:12:23 > 0:12:25How many times have you fallen over?

0:12:25 > 0:12:27A thousand times.

0:12:29 > 0:12:33Thank you very much indeed, Elena. Well done. Thank you.

0:12:37 > 0:12:40The presentation went really well.

0:12:40 > 0:12:43I didn't mess up any English,

0:12:43 > 0:12:46and I still prefer skating.

0:12:46 > 0:12:49How many medals have you won?

0:12:49 > 0:12:51- Uh...- Millions?

0:12:51 > 0:12:54- No.- 34 medals.

0:12:54 > 0:12:57- What?- No, 23 medals.

0:12:57 > 0:13:01I made a lot of new friends since I came to England,

0:13:01 > 0:13:03and they are really nice.

0:13:03 > 0:13:05Hypnotise someone with your medals.

0:13:25 > 0:13:28In Sheffield, the British Championships

0:13:28 > 0:13:31are in full swing, and Josh has arrived to defend his title.

0:13:32 > 0:13:36Coming in as the reigning title holder of the Junior category,

0:13:36 > 0:13:40I really want to just skate the best I can and achieve the best that I

0:13:40 > 0:13:41know I can do.

0:13:41 > 0:13:44My programmes are actually so much harder and more difficult this year.

0:13:44 > 0:13:47I have got the triple triple in there,

0:13:47 > 0:13:50and all my other triples are so much harder and stronger,

0:13:50 > 0:13:51and my spins are more difficult.

0:13:53 > 0:13:56But his first job is to support best friend Kloe,

0:13:56 > 0:13:58who is about to complete.

0:13:59 > 0:14:03We have to be in peak condition here. We have to really focus.

0:14:03 > 0:14:05The week prior, Kloe injured her leg

0:14:05 > 0:14:08and mentally it can really affect you,

0:14:08 > 0:14:11and I just hope she will be able to do what she has been doing all the time.

0:14:11 > 0:14:13You are always told from a young age,

0:14:13 > 0:14:16no matter how much pain you are feeling for those two, three,

0:14:16 > 0:14:19four minutes you are on the ice, just forget all of that and you just

0:14:19 > 0:14:21do what you need to do to get the job done.

0:14:23 > 0:14:24Kloe is about to come on now,

0:14:24 > 0:14:28so I'm starting to feel a little bit nervous and sick.

0:14:28 > 0:14:32Hopefully she will be in the zone and she'll be ready to complete.

0:14:32 > 0:14:33In that corridor when you are waiting,

0:14:33 > 0:14:35I know that she won't have been thinking about her leg.

0:14:35 > 0:14:38She would have been focusing on all the things she needed to in order to

0:14:38 > 0:14:40skate her best.

0:14:52 > 0:14:53Look.

0:14:53 > 0:15:00Three turn, back, boom. Second, boom. All elements like last. Go.

0:15:16 > 0:15:20# I can hold my breath

0:15:22 > 0:15:26# I can bite my tongue

0:15:28 > 0:15:31# Being number one

0:15:34 > 0:15:36# I can do it

0:15:37 > 0:15:42# I can do it

0:15:43 > 0:15:47- # But I'm only human... - GASPS

0:15:47 > 0:15:50# And I bleed when I fall down

0:15:50 > 0:15:54# I'm only human

0:15:54 > 0:15:56# And I crash and I break down

0:15:56 > 0:16:00# Your words in my head, knives in my heart

0:16:00 > 0:16:03# You build me up and I fall apart

0:16:03 > 0:16:11# Cos I'm only human

0:16:14 > 0:16:17# I can do it

0:16:17 > 0:16:20# I'll get through it

0:16:20 > 0:16:25# But I'm only human

0:16:25 > 0:16:28# And I bleed when I fall down

0:16:28 > 0:16:31# I'm only human

0:16:31 > 0:16:34# And I crash and I break down

0:16:34 > 0:16:37# Your words in my head, knives in my heart

0:16:37 > 0:16:40# You build me up and I fall apart

0:16:40 > 0:16:48# Cos I'm only human. #

0:17:00 > 0:17:03It wasn't her best, but I'm really proud of her not giving up,

0:17:03 > 0:17:06and just really trying her best all the way through.

0:17:09 > 0:17:13- GURGEN:- OK, I'm going to the ring to warm up Josh, OK, Klo?

0:17:14 > 0:17:15Oh, dear.

0:17:15 > 0:17:20Those falls mean she slipped out of the top ten and into 11th place.

0:17:20 > 0:17:22I just finished my programme

0:17:22 > 0:17:25and it was certainly not what I wanted to do.

0:17:28 > 0:17:29I made...

0:17:29 > 0:17:33Almost all my jumps, I made a mistake on.

0:17:33 > 0:17:35It is just so hard because...

0:17:37 > 0:17:41..I have been doing really good programmes in practice.

0:17:41 > 0:17:43I basically just wasted everything.

0:17:44 > 0:17:46It's just so hard to, like,

0:17:46 > 0:17:52carry on skating when you know you have done two jumps and you have

0:17:52 > 0:17:54the whole programme left to do.

0:17:54 > 0:17:57So I was just kind of worried about everything after that.

0:17:57 > 0:18:02I went into every jump just scared, even though I know I can do them.

0:18:02 > 0:18:05It is just so hard, and I know I have trained so hard for this.

0:18:06 > 0:18:09I feel like I'm wasting my time when

0:18:09 > 0:18:10I skate like this.

0:18:10 > 0:18:12Everybody has bad days,

0:18:12 > 0:18:13and today was Kloe's.

0:18:13 > 0:18:15But she is not running home,

0:18:15 > 0:18:17she still has her best friend to support.

0:18:17 > 0:18:19I don't want to watch any of the other girls...

0:18:20 > 0:18:24..but obviously, I'm going to be here to watch Josh.

0:18:31 > 0:18:35It is time for Destiny to say goodbye to her hair.

0:18:35 > 0:18:37She is off to see a famous Hollywood wig-maker.

0:18:38 > 0:18:41Today, I'm going to have my hair cut off by Peter King.

0:18:41 > 0:18:45I'm kind of nervous to get my hair cut because I kind of like it.

0:18:45 > 0:18:49Peter King makes wigs for the Teenage Cancer Trust,

0:18:49 > 0:18:52and he also does hair and make-up for Hollywood.

0:18:52 > 0:18:55My friends think it's crazy that I'm going to do this.

0:18:55 > 0:18:59One of them kept on trying to persuade me not to.

0:18:59 > 0:19:04- Well, it looks like we're nearly there. Are you nervous?- Yes.

0:19:06 > 0:19:09- Hi there, you.- Hello. - Hi, come on in.

0:19:09 > 0:19:11Let's go and talk about what we are going to do today.

0:19:15 > 0:19:17Destiny, let's have a look at your hair.

0:19:17 > 0:19:20Turn round, let's have a look.

0:19:20 > 0:19:22I mean, that's fantastic. How long have you been growing this?

0:19:22 > 0:19:26- For about a year.- I reckon we will be able to get quite a good length off that.

0:19:26 > 0:19:30And it's in nice, natural condition, which is really nice when you are making a wig for someone.

0:19:30 > 0:19:33You are doing this for a charity. How much have you raised so far?

0:19:33 > 0:19:36- About £320.- That's fantastic.

0:19:36 > 0:19:38The thing that you are doing is so good,

0:19:38 > 0:19:41and the wonderful thing about hair is that it grows again.

0:19:41 > 0:19:43Come with me and I'm going to show you some of the wigs that have been

0:19:43 > 0:19:46made for other people in our little wig store.

0:19:46 > 0:19:49Now, these wigs have all been made for different films.

0:19:49 > 0:19:53That's Phantom Of The Opera. That's Captain Hook from Pan.

0:19:53 > 0:19:57- Let's see what I look like with blonde hair.- OK, let's pop this on.

0:19:57 > 0:20:00Look at that. Now you have got blonde hair.

0:20:00 > 0:20:03I could be Luna Lovegood with blonde hair like this.

0:20:08 > 0:20:12Look at that! That's so long. That looks great actually.

0:20:16 > 0:20:22Look, these are all the heads of all the people we have made wigs for.

0:20:22 > 0:20:24Why do you need to know about the heads?

0:20:24 > 0:20:27Every single person has a different head shape.

0:20:27 > 0:20:32They are not made out of stretchy material, so they have to fit.

0:20:32 > 0:20:35We do one hair at a time, so it acts like your hair.

0:20:35 > 0:20:39So, this is what will happen to your hair. So, that's how we make it.

0:20:39 > 0:20:41Let's go downstairs and chop your hair off.

0:20:41 > 0:20:43Now my hair is going to get cut off.

0:20:45 > 0:20:48Goodbye, hair. I'll miss you.

0:20:50 > 0:20:53While I was sat there in the chair, waiting for Peter to cut my hair,

0:20:53 > 0:20:55I was feeling kind of nervous.

0:20:55 > 0:20:58I was wondering what it would look like,

0:20:58 > 0:21:00and at times, I did want to back out of it.

0:21:02 > 0:21:04Look. Your hair is down to here.

0:21:04 > 0:21:07It's long, but I didn't realise it was actually that long.

0:21:07 > 0:21:10- All right, then. Are you ready? - Yes.- You're OK?

0:21:10 > 0:21:14- Yes.- So, this is it. Can't back out now.

0:21:14 > 0:21:16- We're going to do it, OK?- Yes.

0:21:19 > 0:21:20Here we go.

0:21:27 > 0:21:29- Look.- Wow, that's a lot of hair.

0:21:29 > 0:21:33It is a lot of hair and that's going to make someone else really, really happy.

0:21:33 > 0:21:37OK? And now I'm going to cut your hair properly. OK?

0:21:37 > 0:21:42It feels kind of nice to think someone else will be using my hair.

0:21:42 > 0:21:47Some people, they might think having no hair is probably the worst thing

0:21:47 > 0:21:51that could happen, but now they've got mine.

0:21:51 > 0:21:53I hope they look after my hair, though!

0:21:56 > 0:21:58I really like my new hair, thanks.

0:21:58 > 0:22:00Well, it looks great. It looks lovely.

0:22:00 > 0:22:03I don't think many other girls in my class would do this

0:22:03 > 0:22:06because they all really like their hair.

0:22:06 > 0:22:09I know. You are right, we should try to encourage more girls to do it.

0:22:09 > 0:22:10- Yes.- That would be good.

0:22:11 > 0:22:16I was nervous when I had my hair cut off, but it wasn't as bad,

0:22:16 > 0:22:19compared to having pucks shot at me

0:22:19 > 0:22:21because my hair will eventually grow back.

0:22:21 > 0:22:25- Thank you very much.- Good luck with everything you do, keep raising the money.

0:22:25 > 0:22:29See you soon. Bye. Bye-bye.

0:22:29 > 0:22:31I'm glad I've done it

0:22:31 > 0:22:35because I am going to make someone feel a lot better

0:22:35 > 0:22:37now that they have got longer hair.

0:22:42 > 0:22:45Back in Sheffield, after Kloe's disappointing skate,

0:22:45 > 0:22:48all hopes of success rest on Josh's shoulders.

0:22:48 > 0:22:51His family are here to cheer him on.

0:22:51 > 0:22:56So, Josh, one lap, one backspin, two axel and then triples.

0:22:56 > 0:23:00And Kloe has pulled herself together to support him, too.

0:23:00 > 0:23:03One of the main things I've been doing a lot is just putting my headphones on

0:23:03 > 0:23:08and listening to my music, you know, getting myself into my own zone.

0:23:08 > 0:23:10Josh really needs to keep focused.

0:23:10 > 0:23:13Not only must he block out his best friend's pain,

0:23:13 > 0:23:17but his skating rival Graham is about to perform.

0:23:17 > 0:23:21This year it will be very difficult. There will be a big fight.

0:23:21 > 0:23:24But I think he can control his nerves.

0:23:25 > 0:23:27OK, this is Graham.

0:23:32 > 0:23:34Graham pulls out all the stops.

0:23:36 > 0:23:38And put in a flawless performance.

0:23:41 > 0:23:44Time for Josh to get out there and defend his title.

0:23:52 > 0:23:55Graham was really good, definitely really high scores.

0:24:00 > 0:24:03Josh is on to skate next,

0:24:03 > 0:24:05and I'm really nervous.

0:24:05 > 0:24:07Try not to think about anybody, OK?

0:24:07 > 0:24:10Come on. I'm with you, OK? Come on, Joshy.

0:24:10 > 0:24:14# Watch these times go by

0:24:14 > 0:24:17# Left my smile inside

0:24:17 > 0:24:19# Oh, oh, oh

0:24:19 > 0:24:22# Wasted time on it

0:24:22 > 0:24:24# Broken promises

0:24:24 > 0:24:27# Nothing's worth of it

0:24:27 > 0:24:30# Watch me as I fly, with nothing on my mind

0:24:30 > 0:24:33# Send this sky run deep

0:24:33 > 0:24:35# Don't lose faith in me

0:24:35 > 0:24:39# Hold on, hold on

0:24:40 > 0:24:43# So, tell me how you feel now

0:24:43 > 0:24:46# Will you know what's real now?

0:24:46 > 0:24:49# Oh oh oh ooh ooh

0:24:49 > 0:24:51# Oh oh oh ooh ooh

0:24:51 > 0:24:54# Oh oh oh ooh ooh

0:24:54 > 0:24:57# Oh oh oh... #

0:25:00 > 0:25:02- JOSH:- When you fall on a jump like that in a competition,

0:25:02 > 0:25:05especially at the British, you know, you lose momentum

0:25:05 > 0:25:07and you kind of know within yourself

0:25:07 > 0:25:10that that's it, you aren't going to win now.

0:25:11 > 0:25:13And you are just battling for second.

0:25:14 > 0:25:18# Oh oh oh ooh ooh

0:25:18 > 0:25:21# Watch me as I fly with nothing on my mind

0:25:21 > 0:25:24# Oh oh oh ooh ooh

0:25:24 > 0:25:26# Oh oh oh ooh ooh

0:25:26 > 0:25:29# Oh oh oh ooh ooh

0:25:29 > 0:25:32# Oh oh oh. #

0:25:34 > 0:25:36When the music stops, you know that's it.

0:25:36 > 0:25:38All the emotions of the programme kind of flood through.

0:25:38 > 0:25:41That's the hardest thing, acting as if you're OK when inside all you

0:25:41 > 0:25:43want to do is start again.

0:25:43 > 0:25:46I'm really proud of Josh because he did really well.

0:25:46 > 0:25:48It's quite a cruel sport.

0:25:48 > 0:25:52You do one thing wrong, and you know you are out of the picture.

0:25:59 > 0:26:01OK.

0:26:01 > 0:26:03That is another lesson again.

0:26:04 > 0:26:05- TANNOY:- Graham.

0:26:07 > 0:26:10So, Graham has taken the gold medal.

0:26:10 > 0:26:13Josh's slip has cost him the silver as well.

0:26:13 > 0:26:17It is third place for Josh in a gruelling British championship.

0:26:22 > 0:26:27If he skated as well as he can to date, he had a chance of winning it.

0:26:27 > 0:26:29So he will be frustrated at that.

0:26:36 > 0:26:40I was on the podium and most people would be happy with that,

0:26:40 > 0:26:43but I think when you are the winner from last year,

0:26:43 > 0:26:46and you have such high expectations, you know,

0:26:46 > 0:26:49you just want to do the best you can and we would not be an athlete if we

0:26:49 > 0:26:51didn't want to win every competition we went to.

0:26:51 > 0:26:56It definitely makes me hungrier to skate better next time.

0:26:56 > 0:26:59Sometimes things just don't fall into place.

0:26:59 > 0:27:01Even for our ice stars.

0:27:01 > 0:27:03And, at moments like this,

0:27:03 > 0:27:06the only thing to do is find your best friend...

0:27:06 > 0:27:09- Are you OK?- Yes. I'm fine. - Good.- Let's go.

0:27:09 > 0:27:12Let's get out of here.

0:27:12 > 0:27:13..have a hug from your family...

0:27:18 > 0:27:21..and know that tomorrow will be a different day.

0:27:30 > 0:27:32MUSIC: Shake It Off by Taylor Swift

0:27:32 > 0:27:34- BOTH:- # Got nothing in my brain

0:27:35 > 0:27:37# That's what people say

0:27:37 > 0:27:38# Ooh, ooh, ooh

0:27:38 > 0:27:40# Shake it off, shake it off... #

0:27:40 > 0:27:42That was good.

0:27:44 > 0:27:47If she gets on, I think it's one of the most exciting things

0:27:47 > 0:27:48that can happen.

0:27:48 > 0:27:51So let's find out. Oh, God! Load, load, load.

0:27:53 > 0:27:55Oh, come on. Load!
