0:03:20 > 0:03:25So while Ceal and Richard are left sitting on a Welsh mountaintop...

0:03:25 > 0:03:28- How long does it take to find out a few facts?- I know what you mean!

0:03:28 > 0:03:30Jedward have just one day

0:03:30 > 0:03:33to discover everything there is to know about Blaenavon.

0:03:33 > 0:03:34LIP SYNCHS: Working here was hard.

0:03:34 > 0:03:38Today is the twins' only chance to get the all-important facts.

0:03:38 > 0:03:40Tomorrow, they'll split

0:03:40 > 0:03:43and compete to give the best guided tour,

0:03:43 > 0:03:45with help from their celebrity friends!

0:03:45 > 0:03:49John will team up with Richard and Edward with Ceal.

0:03:49 > 0:03:52- Where are we, Edward? - I don't know, John.

0:03:52 > 0:03:54Let's go find out more about the place.

0:03:54 > 0:03:58Right now they must get all the info they need for tomorrow's tour.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00Can this man help? I hope so.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03- I'm John.- I'm Edward. - BOTH:- And together we are Jedward!

0:04:03 > 0:04:05J to the E to the D to the ward.

0:04:05 > 0:04:07- BOTH:- Jedward! What's your name?

0:04:07 > 0:04:09- I'm Evian. - You've got a really cool beard.

0:04:09 > 0:04:13- Where are we?- What is this place? - What's Blen-evian?

0:04:13 > 0:04:16- Blaenavon is the correct word. - Why are we here?

0:04:16 > 0:04:18What happens here in Blaenavon?

0:04:18 > 0:04:22Blaenavon, in many way, was the start of the Industrial Revolution.

0:04:22 > 0:04:24200 years ago, there was little here at all,

0:04:24 > 0:04:26just a valley with a couple of people in it.

0:04:26 > 0:04:31But then three businessmen named Hill, Hopkins and Pratt came along.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34They discovered coal, limestone and iron ore,

0:04:34 > 0:04:36all vital to the Industrial Revolution.

0:04:36 > 0:04:39In 1788, they opened an iron works.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41A coal mine and steel works soon followed,

0:04:41 > 0:04:44plus an entire town for their workforce to live in.

0:04:44 > 0:04:47Thousands of people came to work here from England, Scotland

0:04:47 > 0:04:49and even Ireland.

0:04:49 > 0:04:52- Edward!- This is coal.- That's coal!

0:04:52 > 0:04:54Whoa! It's really light.

0:04:54 > 0:04:59- This is limestone. This is iron ore. - Whoa! It's so heavy.

0:04:59 > 0:05:01So we had coal, limestone and iron ore.

0:05:01 > 0:05:05And they were able to put those together and create iron.

0:05:05 > 0:05:09- What's it smell like?- Without iron, we wouldn't have all this today.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13There'd be no television, we wouldn't have mobile phones,

0:05:13 > 0:05:15hairdryers and so on.

0:05:15 > 0:05:18So this rock here is the most important thing ever.

0:05:18 > 0:05:20Without this, I wouldn't have a mobile phone,

0:05:20 > 0:05:22I wouldn't have anything today.

0:05:22 > 0:05:25- That's right.- I think we should go down the mine.

0:05:25 > 0:05:26There's one right behind you.

0:05:26 > 0:05:30We've never been in a mine before. Let's go.

0:05:30 > 0:05:32So Jedward have discovered their first facts

0:05:32 > 0:05:35about the Industrial Revolution.

0:05:35 > 0:05:38Tomorrow they'll be the ones guiding the tourists around. Oh, no!

0:05:38 > 0:05:40What're we doing?

0:05:40 > 0:05:43So it's very important they remember everything they're told.

0:05:43 > 0:05:46We look totally cool.

0:05:48 > 0:05:52Next up, they're going underground with Ian the miner.

0:05:52 > 0:05:55- We have to wear a helmet.- I'm afraid you have to wear safety equipment.

0:05:55 > 0:05:57- What about our hair? - Sorry about the hair.

0:05:57 > 0:06:02- I just have to put the helmet on. Is that OK?- Really? Wait... Ah! No!

0:06:02 > 0:06:05- My hair! I haven't got a sledgehammer.- Watch.

0:06:05 > 0:06:10- Oh, well done. Right. Can I try mine as well?- It's a magic trick.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13- Let's go. - Come on, let's get there.

0:06:13 > 0:06:16Ian, how old were you when you starting mining?

0:06:16 > 0:06:19I was 18 when I come underground. OK? My grandfather was a miner.

0:06:19 > 0:06:23- So it runs through the family.- It runs through the family, I'm afraid.

0:06:25 > 0:06:27# I'm goin' deeper underground. #

0:06:27 > 0:06:31- Wow, we're actually here.- Whoa!

0:06:31 > 0:06:35This is so cool! We're so far under the world.

0:06:35 > 0:06:37- Come on, boys. Walk this way.- Whoa.

0:06:37 > 0:06:41This is where coal comes from. Underground, yeah?

0:06:41 > 0:06:44- That's the coal!- That's the coal.

0:06:45 > 0:06:48Every job underground was very dangerous.

0:06:48 > 0:06:51Before electricity, the men used to use candles,

0:06:51 > 0:06:54so if your candle went out, you'd be in total darkness.

0:06:54 > 0:06:57Is it OK if we turn our lights out to experience the darkness?

0:06:57 > 0:07:00- Turn off all the lights? - Turn all our lights off.

0:07:00 > 0:07:03- But we're scared of the dark. - Turn your light off, please.

0:07:03 > 0:07:05THEY SCREAM

0:07:07 > 0:07:09SCREAMING CONTINUES

0:07:09 > 0:07:11- Did you hear something?- No.

0:07:11 > 0:07:14No, it sounded like it came from underground.

0:07:14 > 0:07:19- It's so dark!- John, where are you? - Edward, where are you?- I don't know!

0:07:19 > 0:07:22Edward, where are you? I can't see anything!

0:07:22 > 0:07:25I think you're imagining things. Pass the binoculars.

0:07:25 > 0:07:28I need to spot John and Edward. They're taking ages.

0:07:28 > 0:07:31- Where are you? - John, I'm right beside you.

0:07:31 > 0:07:33- So what do you think about that then?- Scary.

0:07:33 > 0:07:37Could you imagine now, young boys and girls, five years old,

0:07:37 > 0:07:41working 12 hours a day in that situation.

0:07:41 > 0:07:44Their job was to sit at the ventilation doors.

0:07:44 > 0:07:46It was a tough, lonely, miserable job,

0:07:46 > 0:07:48especially if their candles went out.

0:07:48 > 0:07:51But it wasn't just children who worked in the mines.

0:07:51 > 0:07:53Horses dragged the coal up the mine shaft,

0:07:53 > 0:07:56but they didn't just work underground,

0:07:56 > 0:07:57they lived underground too.

0:07:57 > 0:08:00The only time the horses ever returned to the surface

0:08:00 > 0:08:04was during the miners' two weeks' holiday.

0:08:04 > 0:08:05- Can you believe that?- No.

0:08:05 > 0:08:09So what do you think? You tough enough to work underground?

0:08:09 > 0:08:11I think I've realised how lucky we are

0:08:11 > 0:08:14and I feel sad for those kids that had to work down here.

0:08:14 > 0:08:19So, children worked in the mine, a fact which has shocked Jedward.

0:08:19 > 0:08:23Right, boys, back up the mine then. All aboard.

0:08:25 > 0:08:27I can't believe kids worked in the mines.

0:08:27 > 0:08:34I'm never going to complain about anything ever again.

0:08:34 > 0:08:35What is this?!

0:08:35 > 0:08:39The things you have to put up with. I asked for milk, no sugar.

0:08:39 > 0:08:41Take that back.

0:08:41 > 0:08:43Honestly, pop stars today.

0:08:43 > 0:08:48Tea break over with and the next stop is a former iron works.

0:08:48 > 0:08:51Come on, let's go to the building.

0:08:51 > 0:08:55Tomorrow they'll compete to guide tourists around these ruins,

0:08:55 > 0:08:58and they'll be expected to know everything

0:08:58 > 0:08:59about what it used to be.

0:08:59 > 0:09:02What are we doing here? This guy can tell us.

0:09:02 > 0:09:04Yes, he can. Meet Ivor, the ironworks man,

0:09:04 > 0:09:06ready to give the boys the info.

0:09:06 > 0:09:12- What is this place?- This is one of six furnaces at Blaenavon Ironworks.

0:09:12 > 0:09:16Where we're standing right now, there would have been a big pot?

0:09:16 > 0:09:18A big pot, the temperature here 200 years ago

0:09:18 > 0:09:21would have been 1,500 degrees Celsius.

0:09:21 > 0:09:25Iron ore would be roasted in kilns, and then along with the coal

0:09:25 > 0:09:30and limestone, it would heat it to over 1,500 degrees Celsius.

0:09:30 > 0:09:33The molten metal was carefully poured out of the furnace

0:09:33 > 0:09:36and into channels, where it could cool and form pig iron,

0:09:36 > 0:09:40so called because the channels like a sow and baby piglets.

0:09:40 > 0:09:44- Ow!- Was it dangerous to work here?

0:09:44 > 0:09:46It was a very dangerous place to work.

0:09:46 > 0:09:49It would come out white hot, it would be blinding!

0:09:49 > 0:09:51Let's go find out more!

0:09:51 > 0:09:53The boys have sussed out

0:09:53 > 0:09:57that working in the Industrial Revolution was dangerous.

0:09:57 > 0:10:01But they'll also need to show their tourists where those workers lived.

0:10:01 > 0:10:06- Let's go check it out. - This is a working-class cottage.

0:10:06 > 0:10:07This is the living room.

0:10:07 > 0:10:09This is where everybody would have come down.

0:10:09 > 0:10:13- There was no running water. - Oh!- No sewage.- Oh!- Electricity.

0:10:13 > 0:10:16- No Jedward CDs.- Oh! No Jedward CDs?

0:10:16 > 0:10:19These cottages would have between 18 and 19 people living in them.

0:10:19 > 0:10:22- Where did everyone sleep in here? - I can show you.

0:10:22 > 0:10:29- So you're saying 19 people stayed in this small house?- Yeah.

0:10:29 > 0:10:32Two up, two down. And these beds were never cold.

0:10:32 > 0:10:35The ironworks never closed, so as one shift was coming off,

0:10:35 > 0:10:38new guys would be getting up, going to work. It's very different

0:10:38 > 0:10:40to the bedrooms of today.

0:10:40 > 0:10:43There could have been nine people sharing this house.

0:10:43 > 0:10:47So you would have to be really smelly to be able to wangle

0:10:47 > 0:10:48a room of your own.

0:10:48 > 0:10:51Children probably wouldn't have even had their own beds.

0:10:51 > 0:10:54They'd have to sleep on the floor instead.

0:10:54 > 0:10:58And that didn't mean a nice, warm carpet, it meant a cold, hard floor.

0:10:58 > 0:11:01No furniture, and of course, no electricity.

0:11:03 > 0:11:06So the boys have been given the low-down on the Victorian home.

0:11:06 > 0:11:09John, stop, you're going to break the floor.

0:11:09 > 0:11:11Now they need to find out how the workers spent

0:11:11 > 0:11:13their hard-earned wages.

0:11:13 > 0:11:17It's time for a trip to the Victorian shop.

0:11:17 > 0:11:19This is a company shop.

0:11:19 > 0:11:22After you've done your four to six weeks work,

0:11:22 > 0:11:24- the company will pay you in tokens. - Tokens?

0:11:24 > 0:11:26That's called the truck system.

0:11:26 > 0:11:29You can only spend them in a shop, you can only buy goods

0:11:29 > 0:11:32that the owners think you're going to need.

0:11:32 > 0:11:36- And at 30% more than anywhere else. - So it was a rip off!

0:11:36 > 0:11:41- Do they sell hair gel?- No hair gel. - Hair spray?- They've got gruel.

0:11:41 > 0:11:44Gruel? It looks sick, it looks total yuck!

0:11:45 > 0:11:51- Everyone liked to eat this back then? - Yeah!- It's so... Oh, ew!

0:11:51 > 0:11:55And there will be lots more gruel to come for the losing tour guide.

0:11:58 > 0:12:01The winner will be decided by who gets across

0:12:01 > 0:12:03the most correct facts to the tourists.

0:12:03 > 0:12:06I need to find out more about this place.

0:12:06 > 0:12:09Tomorrow, they will each be given three of today's stories

0:12:09 > 0:12:12and a celebrity helper to assist them.

0:12:12 > 0:12:15Richard and Ceal are relying on the boys to gather all the info.

0:12:15 > 0:12:18- Do you think they'll learn a lot of facts?- No. It's Jedward!

0:12:18 > 0:12:22I'm with you, Ceal! Because there's much more Jedward need to discover

0:12:22 > 0:12:25before they're ready to become tour guides.

0:12:25 > 0:12:28- Hey, what's up, guys? - It's John and Edward.

0:12:28 > 0:12:30John's recording and I am talking.

0:12:30 > 0:12:34Now they need to find out all about canals.

0:12:34 > 0:12:37Cool. What is this place?

0:12:37 > 0:12:39This is a canal which is used

0:12:39 > 0:12:42to take coal and iron from Blaenavon down to Newport

0:12:42 > 0:12:46where it can be taken around the world. Canals have a tow path

0:12:46 > 0:12:48for the horses to tow the boats along.

0:12:48 > 0:12:51Hard work for the horse and for the unlucky person

0:12:51 > 0:12:54who had to clean up the tow path behind them!

0:12:54 > 0:12:56For the boatsman, it wasn't just a job.

0:12:56 > 0:12:58It soon became a way of life.

0:12:58 > 0:13:02When the steam train came along, the narrow boats couldn't compete.

0:13:02 > 0:13:05And horse-drawn boats died out completely.

0:13:05 > 0:13:07We have to learn more about the canal.

0:13:07 > 0:13:10This was an easier way of transporting the coal and the iron

0:13:10 > 0:13:14and it would've been brought down on a narrow boat.

0:13:14 > 0:13:17And they are only 2.1 metres wide.

0:13:17 > 0:13:20We'll have to remember that, 2.1 metres.

0:13:20 > 0:13:22Could they not have got fish to pull the boat?

0:13:22 > 0:13:25HE LAUGHS

0:13:26 > 0:13:28No, no, no.

0:13:28 > 0:13:32We haven't got fish strong enough in this canal unfortunately!

0:13:32 > 0:13:34- Shark?- No sharks.- No sharks.

0:13:34 > 0:13:36No, no sharks.

0:13:36 > 0:13:39So we've had narrowboats, truck systems, iron ore,

0:13:39 > 0:13:41no sharks, lots to remember for tomorrow

0:13:41 > 0:13:44and there's still one last story for them to cram in.

0:13:44 > 0:13:47The invention of the steam engine.

0:13:47 > 0:13:52Evian, these steam engines are so amazing. Who invented these?

0:13:52 > 0:13:53There were quite a few people

0:13:53 > 0:13:56who tried to put a steam engine onto rails.

0:13:56 > 0:14:02There was a competition held in 1829 to find a steam engine

0:14:02 > 0:14:05that would pull a train from Liverpool to Manchester.

0:14:05 > 0:14:08Five locomotives were entered into the competition.

0:14:08 > 0:14:12First to drop out was Cycloped after the horse it used for power

0:14:12 > 0:14:14fell through the floor of the engine.

0:14:14 > 0:14:15Next out was Perseverance

0:14:15 > 0:14:18after it failed to reach ten miles per hour.

0:14:18 > 0:14:22Sans Pareil nearly made it all the way. It cracked the cylinder

0:14:22 > 0:14:25and had to drop out which left just the Rocket and Novelty.

0:14:25 > 0:14:30But damage to a boiler pipe meant even Novelty had to admit defeat.

0:14:30 > 0:14:33So it was George Stephenson's Rocket that was pronounced the winner

0:14:33 > 0:14:35and in 1830, the first modern railway line

0:14:35 > 0:14:39between Liverpool and Manchester opened

0:14:39 > 0:14:42with Stephenson's Rocket pulling the train.

0:14:42 > 0:14:43Tickle, tickle!

0:14:43 > 0:14:45# The wheels on the train go round... #

0:14:45 > 0:14:49- No, don't, John.- Evian, OK, it's so cool you telling us

0:14:49 > 0:14:52about the history of this train, but can we go inside?

0:14:52 > 0:14:54- Yes, you may.- Cool!

0:14:54 > 0:14:57That's where the coal goes in.

0:14:57 > 0:15:03Whoa, Edward, we were the best train drivers ever. Beep, beep!

0:15:03 > 0:15:07Glad you like it because whoever's crowned tomorrow's winning guide

0:15:07 > 0:15:10will be allowed to drive this train for real.

0:15:10 > 0:15:12Come on, Ed. Let's go.

0:15:12 > 0:15:16And don't forget the loser must pay a gruelling forfeit. Oh, dear!

0:15:16 > 0:15:20So that's it. The twins have been told everything they need to know

0:15:20 > 0:15:24to guide tourists around Blaenavon. And now comes the hard bit.

0:15:24 > 0:15:27Edward, I think we've learned a lot of cool, interesting facts.

0:15:27 > 0:15:29All we have to do is remember it.

0:15:29 > 0:15:31Well, ME to remember it because you're going down.

0:15:31 > 0:15:34Edward, I'm totally going to remember.

0:15:34 > 0:15:36I have a mind of, like, an elephant.

0:15:36 > 0:15:39If you say so. So with all the facts safely in their brains,

0:15:39 > 0:15:41Jedward have finished for the day.

0:15:41 > 0:15:44- You'll lose tomorrow. - No, you'll lose.

0:15:44 > 0:15:47OWL HOOTS

0:15:47 > 0:15:51- ALARM BELL RINGS, COCKEREL CROWS - Oh, all right, I'm up, I'm up!

0:15:51 > 0:15:53It's 7am on day two and a group of tourists

0:15:53 > 0:15:56are in for the surprise of their lives

0:15:56 > 0:16:00when they find out who's going to be guiding them around.

0:16:00 > 0:16:02I'm not sure who'll be showing us around.

0:16:02 > 0:16:06I don't think I'm going to learn anything today.

0:16:06 > 0:16:08The power of positive thinking!

0:16:08 > 0:16:11The twins are now in competition with each other

0:16:11 > 0:16:13to guide the tourists around.

0:16:13 > 0:16:15You guys are losers, we are winners.

0:16:15 > 0:16:20John is being helped by Richard and Edward is assisted by Ceal.

0:16:20 > 0:16:21We'll kick your hair.

0:16:21 > 0:16:23Which team will give the best tour?

0:16:23 > 0:16:27Who will face a messy forfeit? Time to find out.

0:16:27 > 0:16:30- There's the bus, there's the people. - Tour bus is here.

0:16:30 > 0:16:34- What's up, guys? - John and Edward.- Jedward!- I'm John.

0:16:34 > 0:16:37Guys, guess what? We have our celebrity friends,

0:16:37 > 0:16:42- Richard Wisker and Ceal Spellman, going to Blaenavon.- Yes, yes, yes.

0:16:42 > 0:16:45- Are you guys ready for a tour? KIDS:- Yes!- Buckle up, let's go.

0:16:45 > 0:16:49To decide which team will be the winner, the tourists will face

0:16:49 > 0:16:51a test at the end of the day

0:16:51 > 0:16:54so every fact they deliver really counts.

0:16:54 > 0:17:00- Come on, guys, let's go. You guys excited?- Yes!- Yeah.

0:17:00 > 0:17:02First John and Richard

0:17:02 > 0:17:05need to explain the origins of the Industrial Revolution

0:17:05 > 0:17:08and what key ingredients were needed.

0:17:08 > 0:17:11You guys are properly wondering why Blaenavon

0:17:11 > 0:17:13was so successful here.

0:17:13 > 0:17:17It's because they had all three sources for making iron.

0:17:17 > 0:17:19- Tell them, Richard. - Basically, this is coal.

0:17:19 > 0:17:24- What's it called? ALL:- Coal. - What's it called? ALL:- Coal!

0:17:24 > 0:17:25- Louder! ALL:- Coal!

0:17:25 > 0:17:27- The second source was...- Iron ore.

0:17:27 > 0:17:30- Really heavy. It's a two-hander. - What's it called? ALL:- Iron ore.

0:17:30 > 0:17:35- And what's the last one, Richard? - I think it's called...- Limestone.

0:17:35 > 0:17:38- I'm lime, he's stone, together we are...- Limestone.

0:17:38 > 0:17:41Put them together, you get iron. What do you get?

0:17:41 > 0:17:45- Iron!- What do you get? ALL:- Iron! - You get iron.

0:17:45 > 0:17:49So, John and Richard made the tourists repeat the facts

0:17:49 > 0:17:51which they hope could give them an advantage. Clever.

0:17:51 > 0:17:55Now it's time for Team Edward to take their first tour.

0:17:55 > 0:17:58- We know our facts.- Definitely. - I'm actually serious.

0:17:58 > 0:18:00- We'll be so much better. - We have to go all-out.

0:18:00 > 0:18:04They're going down the mine and must get across the age

0:18:04 > 0:18:07of the youngest children who are employed underground.

0:18:07 > 0:18:10OK, that's everyone, I am ready to teach.

0:18:10 > 0:18:13Come on, everyone. Mind your heads.

0:18:13 > 0:18:16Guys, OK, it's really hard work down here.

0:18:16 > 0:18:19How would you guys feel working down here? Five years of age.

0:18:19 > 0:18:24- Miserable.- Really scared. - Scared, wet.

0:18:24 > 0:18:26What type of jobs did the children do?

0:18:26 > 0:18:31Good question, and one that any tour guide should be able to answer.

0:18:31 > 0:18:35What was it? Wait... Sorry. I'm not really ready.

0:18:35 > 0:18:39I don't know, guys! I don't know. No-one ever told me this.

0:18:39 > 0:18:43Awkward! Edward's gone blank, can you save the day, Ceal? Say you can.

0:18:43 > 0:18:47- You have to remember...- Yes!- ..adults and the children doing the work.

0:18:47 > 0:18:51- Answer the question, Ceal.- ..Down the mine working in conditions...

0:18:51 > 0:18:52He doesn't know.

0:18:52 > 0:18:54The candles would blow out,

0:18:54 > 0:18:56they'd be down here waiting for someone.

0:18:56 > 0:18:59Edward changes the subject, phew! And shows the tourists

0:18:59 > 0:19:02exactly what it was like to work in the dark.

0:19:02 > 0:19:06Everyone, turn the lights off. Three, two, one.

0:19:06 > 0:19:07Oh, my God!

0:19:07 > 0:19:08HORSE WHINNIES

0:19:08 > 0:19:10SCREAMING

0:19:10 > 0:19:12- Look!- He's a horse!

0:19:12 > 0:19:14- Where's Ceal gone? - HORSE NEIGHS

0:19:14 > 0:19:15You don't know?

0:19:15 > 0:19:18What you don't know, there were horses down here as well.

0:19:18 > 0:19:22Think about it, all the horses now are running around eating hay

0:19:22 > 0:19:24but they were down here doing hard work.

0:19:24 > 0:19:28I think you guys know everything, let's get out of here.

0:19:28 > 0:19:32- Everyone say bye to the coal mine. - ALL: Bye, coal mine.- Bye, coal.

0:19:32 > 0:19:34Bye, coal mine. So did Team Edward manage to make

0:19:34 > 0:19:36the tourists remember anything?

0:19:36 > 0:19:38The horse thing was brilliant.

0:19:38 > 0:19:42- Quite scary.- And a bit funny at the same time.- It was quite a shock.

0:19:42 > 0:19:45- Yeah, it was fabulous.- I think they learned their facts well.

0:19:45 > 0:19:47So that's a thumbs-up from the tourists.

0:19:47 > 0:19:50Whoa! Look, it's an old train.

0:19:50 > 0:19:53Now Team John are taking them to the ironworks

0:19:53 > 0:19:57and it's important they mention how many furnaces were once here.

0:19:57 > 0:20:00- This is a furnace. What is it? - A furnace.

0:20:00 > 0:20:04OK, and here in the ironworks in Blaenavon there were six of them.

0:20:04 > 0:20:06- How many?- Six.- All right, OK.

0:20:06 > 0:20:09- Explain what a furnace is. - I'll explain.

0:20:09 > 0:20:12Basically, where we're standing right now, there used to be

0:20:12 > 0:20:15a huge, massive teapot.

0:20:15 > 0:20:18- It was like a massive... - A huge, massive teapot?!

0:20:18 > 0:20:20Is John making this up?

0:20:20 > 0:20:24- It was 1,500 degrees.- Wow. - Isn't that hot?- That is really hot.

0:20:24 > 0:20:26Me and John will show you how hot and smoky

0:20:26 > 0:20:30- and horrible it used to be years ago working in here.- Put this on.

0:20:30 > 0:20:33Hang on, safety goggles? What are they going to do here?

0:20:33 > 0:20:36Ahem! Meanwhile, Team Edward have decided

0:20:36 > 0:20:39that dressing up is the key to getting facts across.

0:20:39 > 0:20:44We are Spellman and Grimes, Victorian estate agents.

0:20:44 > 0:20:47- Right you are, old chap.- Ready to sell the Stack Square cottages

0:20:47 > 0:20:48to these tourists.

0:20:48 > 0:20:52Good accents, guys. Now, back to Team John.

0:20:52 > 0:20:55What exactly are they up to with those safety goggles?

0:20:55 > 0:20:59- Are you ready? - I'm ready, John.- I'm ready.

0:20:59 > 0:21:02John releases a smoke device to recreate

0:21:02 > 0:21:04Victorian working conditions.

0:21:04 > 0:21:08Here we go, the smoke's coming for us!

0:21:08 > 0:21:09SCREAMING

0:21:09 > 0:21:12Oh, dear! How on earth will the tourists remember

0:21:12 > 0:21:15any of the facts with all that smoke?

0:21:18 > 0:21:19HE COUGHS

0:21:19 > 0:21:21Oh, get me out! Urgh!

0:21:21 > 0:21:22It's so scary!

0:21:22 > 0:21:24Rarrgh!

0:21:24 > 0:21:25WHISTLE BLOWS

0:21:25 > 0:21:27Now it's back to Edward and Ceal.

0:21:27 > 0:21:29Is that a spot?

0:21:30 > 0:21:31Good day, good day.

0:21:31 > 0:21:35We are Spellman and Grimes, but I've got to tell you something.

0:21:35 > 0:21:39I'm still Edward from Jedward, we're not Victorian estate agents.

0:21:39 > 0:21:43They're here to show you the Stack Square cottages.

0:21:43 > 0:21:45These cottages have all the amenities,

0:21:45 > 0:21:48and facilities that you would ever want.

0:21:48 > 0:21:51You have no toilet, no bathroom, no running water.

0:21:51 > 0:21:53It's very minimalist, let's check it out.

0:21:53 > 0:21:56One detail they must get across

0:21:56 > 0:21:59is the system of payment used by workers who once lived here.

0:21:59 > 0:22:04So this is the main bedroom, this is where...everyone will sleep.

0:22:04 > 0:22:08And if you get a house, you'll also get a job in the ironworks.

0:22:08 > 0:22:10But they pay you in tokens, not money.

0:22:10 > 0:22:13Then you'll buy all your stuff at our company shop.

0:22:13 > 0:22:17- And that's called the truck system. What's it called?- The truck system.

0:22:17 > 0:22:21And we'll charge you 30% more because...we want to.

0:22:21 > 0:22:24Would you like to try the beds? That's it, get close together.

0:22:24 > 0:22:27- Do you like the straw? - Lovely.- Quite comfy.

0:22:27 > 0:22:30We'll leave you there and see if you get used to it.

0:22:30 > 0:22:32Then you can come back and buy the property.

0:22:32 > 0:22:36- Peace out, people. - A faultless performance.

0:22:36 > 0:22:39So with only one story left for each team,

0:22:39 > 0:22:42the pressure is starting to get to Richard.

0:22:42 > 0:22:44Really, really worried right now

0:22:44 > 0:22:46because I need you to tell me some facts.

0:22:46 > 0:22:49- No, don't be stressing, OK. - You must tell me some facts now.

0:22:49 > 0:22:53All I know is this is a canal, this is a boat. And guess what?

0:22:53 > 0:22:56- What?- We've got props, check it out. We've got a horse outfit.

0:22:56 > 0:22:59- Don't worry, OK?- Wicked, let's roll. - Let's do this.

0:22:59 > 0:23:01For John and Richard's final story,

0:23:01 > 0:23:03they must show the tourists how canals work

0:23:03 > 0:23:07and they're hoping their horse costume will give them the edge.

0:23:07 > 0:23:11- This is a canal. What is it, Richard?- It's a canal.

0:23:11 > 0:23:13- What can you tell us about it? - This is a boat.

0:23:13 > 0:23:16- A longboat?- No, no, no, it's called a narrowboat.- A narrowboat.

0:23:16 > 0:23:18Yo, guys, how wide is the boat?

0:23:18 > 0:23:222.1 metres wide.

0:23:22 > 0:23:24Are you guys ready for us to pull a boat?

0:23:24 > 0:23:26- ALL:- Yeah.- Right, let's do this, OK?

0:23:30 > 0:23:33- Pull.- I'm pulling.

0:23:33 > 0:23:35Yes, that's horse-power.

0:23:35 > 0:23:38Right(!) That frankly rubbish horse costume

0:23:38 > 0:23:41has left the tourists bemused.

0:23:41 > 0:23:43And having watched that mess, Team Edward

0:23:43 > 0:23:45are feeling rather confident.

0:23:45 > 0:23:49- I think we can do a lot better. - Yeah, and John's hair's flopped.

0:23:49 > 0:23:52- Yours hasn't.- My hair is still standing.- That's what we do.

0:23:52 > 0:23:56And finally the tourists make their way to the railway station

0:23:56 > 0:23:58for their last story of the day.

0:23:58 > 0:24:03- Are they here? There they are!- All aboard!

0:24:03 > 0:24:08Let's hope it's a hair-raising performance! Ha-ha ha-ha!

0:24:08 > 0:24:12Attention, everyone. We've got some very important stuff to tell you.

0:24:12 > 0:24:15Yes, you are now aboard a revolutionary item

0:24:15 > 0:24:17known as the steam train.

0:24:17 > 0:24:22- This train is made of steel which... - Iron.- Iron. I don't have a clue.

0:24:22 > 0:24:26Team Edward must name the locomotive that won the race

0:24:26 > 0:24:28to be the first passenger steam train.

0:24:28 > 0:24:32And Edward is now going to tell you the names of the trains.

0:24:32 > 0:24:34I can't remember.

0:24:39 > 0:24:40I was told yesterday,

0:24:40 > 0:24:43but I wasn't listening because I was focused on my hair.

0:24:43 > 0:24:45- You've let the team down. - I haven't.

0:24:45 > 0:24:49- Why weren't you listening? - John should have been here.

0:24:49 > 0:24:53The tourists' faces say it all. And Edward and Cael know it.

0:24:53 > 0:24:55I think we messed up there, you know.

0:24:55 > 0:24:58Cael, we didn't mess up, I messed up. It wasn't your fault.

0:24:58 > 0:25:00No, listen...

0:25:00 > 0:25:03You had to relax yesterday and I went and got the facts, OK?

0:25:03 > 0:25:06I had to get the facts and tell you the facts,

0:25:06 > 0:25:09and that's a thing I forgot so neither of us knew it.

0:25:09 > 0:25:11- We go down together.- Yeah.

0:25:11 > 0:25:15Their fate is now in the hands of the tourists.

0:25:15 > 0:25:17It's time for the big test.

0:25:17 > 0:25:21The tourists will be asked one question on each of the stories.

0:25:21 > 0:25:24For each correct answer there is a point

0:25:24 > 0:25:26for the team that told that story.

0:25:26 > 0:25:30There was one question I struggled on a bit with the furnaces.

0:25:30 > 0:25:33Here we go! The smoke's coming!

0:25:33 > 0:25:37I think the smoke, like, jacked my memory.

0:25:37 > 0:25:40Everything, like, before that just went out of the window.

0:25:40 > 0:25:42Cael and Edward made more effort.

0:25:42 > 0:25:44They dressed up for the part.

0:25:44 > 0:25:48We are Spellman and Grimes, notorious estate agents.

0:25:48 > 0:25:52They made it fun and enjoyable so it was easy to remember.

0:25:52 > 0:25:54THEY CRY OUT

0:25:54 > 0:25:57Where's Cael gone?

0:25:57 > 0:26:00I remembered more than I thought I was going to remember.

0:26:00 > 0:26:04So it looks like it's neck and neck between the teams.

0:26:04 > 0:26:07Richard, it's so important for us to win this.

0:26:07 > 0:26:09We get to drive the train. Think how cool it would be.

0:26:09 > 0:26:12We can drive it, I don't think Edward can drive.

0:26:12 > 0:26:15- Cael, I don't want to lose. - I don't want to lose.

0:26:15 > 0:26:19- I don't want to eat the gruel. - Gruel's not good for you.

0:26:19 > 0:26:20It's the moment of truth.

0:26:20 > 0:26:23Which team has won the most points

0:26:23 > 0:26:27and will get to drive the Victorian steam train?

0:26:27 > 0:26:28My heart's racing.
