0:00:02 > 0:00:04It's day two and the final day of the final.

0:00:04 > 0:00:06Either Alyth, Amari, Euan or Megan will be crowned

0:00:06 > 0:00:08Junior Bake Off Champion 2015.

0:00:08 > 0:00:10So, who will it be?

0:00:10 > 0:00:12Well, it'll be one of these four, I just said.

0:00:12 > 0:00:15Oh, yeah! Welcome to the final of Junior Bake Off.

0:00:15 > 0:00:18THEME TUNE PLAYS

0:00:39 > 0:00:45One more cake to be baked. One trophy to be won...

0:00:45 > 0:00:47I wonder if we'll get the showstopper done in time.

0:00:47 > 0:00:48I'm so nervous for that.

0:00:48 > 0:00:51It's such a big thing to do.

0:00:51 > 0:00:54..and four skilled bakers with their eye on the prize.

0:00:56 > 0:01:00Yesterday, the finalists produced their signature pizza...

0:01:01 > 0:01:03..and faced a tough puff pastry technical.

0:01:05 > 0:01:08Megan demonstrated her perfectionism.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10This is the final, and you've not only given us a pizza,

0:01:10 > 0:01:12you've given us a bit on the side.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15But once again, time-keeping was her enemy.

0:01:15 > 0:01:17Slightly raw.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19Yeah, a bit undercooked towards the middle there.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21When she's on her game, she's very, very hard to beat.

0:01:21 > 0:01:24It's just she has to understand the clock is the clock,

0:01:24 > 0:01:25and she has to work to it.

0:01:25 > 0:01:29If I smash it today and I do everything that I need to do

0:01:29 > 0:01:32in my mind, then I put my head down and I focus on my timings

0:01:32 > 0:01:37and everything that they've said that I need to do, I could win it.

0:01:37 > 0:01:39Alyth was praised for her dough.

0:01:39 > 0:01:41It's got the aeration bubbles you can see from the yeast,

0:01:41 > 0:01:42that was good work.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44But it was under-baked.

0:01:44 > 0:01:45It's not really crisp.

0:01:45 > 0:01:48One of her most endearing characteristics

0:01:48 > 0:01:49is her ability to bounce back.

0:01:49 > 0:01:54She can change everything if she does a phenomenal showstopper today.

0:01:54 > 0:01:58It's hard to say where I stand out of the four of us.

0:01:58 > 0:02:02I might be third, I might be second, or I might even be last.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06Amari failed to pull off her ambitious calzone.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08It's all falling out here, isn't it?

0:02:08 > 0:02:11The pizza challenge did not go well for Amari.

0:02:11 > 0:02:13But, in the afternoon on the challenge for the pinwheels,

0:02:13 > 0:02:15the best pinwheels that we had.

0:02:15 > 0:02:18- Really good puff, I mean, it's flaky as anything.- Good bake.

0:02:18 > 0:02:22Sometimes when I slip up, I say to myself I can't do it any more.

0:02:22 > 0:02:29So, today, I'm going to try and believe in myself a lot more.

0:02:29 > 0:02:33Euan won praise from the judges for his adventurous combinations.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36You can taste the lemongrass, good balance with the peppers,

0:02:36 > 0:02:38a really nice pizza, well thought out, well done.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41And he followed up well in the afternoon.

0:02:41 > 0:02:42Good flakiness to the pastry.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44Euan has consistently been in our top two.

0:02:44 > 0:02:48He has a very, very good knowledge, understanding and he's precise.

0:02:48 > 0:02:53I need to make sure that my showstopper tastes great

0:02:53 > 0:02:54and looks amazing.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57I do feel like I'm getting closer to winning.

0:02:57 > 0:03:02I feel like I can almost grab it but it's just too far to actually reach.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07It's good to see you again.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16Bakers, here we are, the final day

0:03:16 > 0:03:21and the final challenge of Junior Bake Off 2015.

0:03:21 > 0:03:26And this is a showstopper to end all showstoppers, because Graham

0:03:26 > 0:03:32and Allegra would like you to make an enchanted woodland themed cake.

0:03:32 > 0:03:36This tiered cake can be any shape, any size you want,

0:03:36 > 0:03:38any flavour you want.

0:03:38 > 0:03:42Remember, guys, this is the final, this is your last bake,

0:03:42 > 0:03:43make it count.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45Judges, any final words of wisdom?

0:03:45 > 0:03:47Keep your heads in the game.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50Stay calm and just imagine that you're cooking for your friends

0:03:50 > 0:03:51and your family.

0:03:51 > 0:03:54Best of luck, bakers. For one final time, on your marks...

0:03:54 > 0:03:57- Get set.- Bake!

0:04:00 > 0:04:03I know it sounds like a lot, two and a half hours,

0:04:03 > 0:04:06but you need an hour to decorate, so I've just got to hurry up.

0:04:06 > 0:04:09To create the perfect tiers the judges are after

0:04:09 > 0:04:11requires good time management,

0:04:11 > 0:04:13as the bakers have to make two different size cakes

0:04:13 > 0:04:16that will be stacked on top of each other.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19Doing this many layers, it's quite important that you get them

0:04:19 > 0:04:21all completely even.

0:04:22 > 0:04:26Today, for the final showstopper, it has to be well-baked,

0:04:26 > 0:04:27it has to have imagination.

0:04:27 > 0:04:30I want to see nice, even layers throughout the sponge,

0:04:30 > 0:04:33balance of flavour, colour.

0:04:33 > 0:04:36There are three parts to this. One is the structure,

0:04:36 > 0:04:38two is the look, and three is that it tastes good.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41Those three things will give us our champion.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44Oh, it's not open. I'm trying to pour it. It's not even open.

0:04:44 > 0:04:46It's like, why is it not coming out?

0:04:46 > 0:04:50I am making an Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant,

0:04:50 > 0:04:53something like that, waterfall cake.

0:04:53 > 0:04:57So, it's based on the waterfall that's near my grandad's

0:04:57 > 0:04:58house in Wales.

0:04:58 > 0:05:03The magical features are probably going to be the toadstool houses,

0:05:03 > 0:05:05where the tooth fairies live.

0:05:05 > 0:05:06Amari's two-tiered,

0:05:06 > 0:05:09multi-layered and multicoloured tooth fairy land will be

0:05:09 > 0:05:13covered in meringue buttercream and desiccated coconut moss.

0:05:13 > 0:05:16She's also planning strong flavours for her sponge.

0:05:16 > 0:05:18Got the inspiration for my recipe.

0:05:18 > 0:05:21I was trying different flavour combinations,

0:05:21 > 0:05:23and I thought lemon and ginger went together

0:05:23 > 0:05:28and orange and cinnamon went together, so that's what I did.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31Amari's been baking at home since she was two.

0:05:31 > 0:05:34She now bakes for her four younger siblings.

0:05:34 > 0:05:37I've counted, you've got seven tins over there.

0:05:37 > 0:05:38Are you doing seven tiers?

0:05:40 > 0:05:44- Are you all right?- Did you know that there was seven tins there?

0:05:44 > 0:05:46- No, I thought there was six. - Oh, really?

0:05:46 > 0:05:50That's all right, take one away. Are you doing a six-tiered cake?

0:05:50 > 0:05:53No, it's a six-layered cake, it's got two tiers.

0:05:53 > 0:05:54Oh, OK.

0:05:56 > 0:06:01Alyth is also creating a two-tier cake for mythical creatures.

0:06:01 > 0:06:05I'm calling it Unicornia because it's where the snow unicorn lives.

0:06:05 > 0:06:10I decided to do a chocolate cake, cos they live on a mountain

0:06:10 > 0:06:14and mountains are brown inside, with the dirt, so I thought,

0:06:14 > 0:06:19because in unicorn land, they have chocolate, chocolate dirt.

0:06:20 > 0:06:23Alyth's unicorns will live in a cupcake house.

0:06:23 > 0:06:26The mountain underneath will be a two-tiered cake, covered

0:06:26 > 0:06:31in white chocolate buttercream snow and decorated with chocolate trees.

0:06:31 > 0:06:33Each of her cakes will have different flavours.

0:06:33 > 0:06:36I'm doing a chocolate orange, chocolate cherry

0:06:36 > 0:06:38and a chocolate vanilla cake.

0:06:38 > 0:06:43I add the zest of the orange to give it the flavour, but I might just

0:06:43 > 0:06:48put a little bit of juice in, just to give it that extra tangy orange.

0:06:50 > 0:06:53As well as baking, Alyth enjoys playing football,

0:06:53 > 0:06:54and she's an excellent tackler.

0:06:57 > 0:06:59- Alyth!- Hi. - What you cutting up now?

0:06:59 > 0:07:02I'm chopping up some glazed cherries.

0:07:02 > 0:07:04- Well, they look very nice. - They do look lovely.

0:07:04 > 0:07:07Is this true, you're making a mystical unicorn cake?

0:07:07 > 0:07:09It's not mystical, it's real.

0:07:09 > 0:07:11Why've you got such a love for unicorns?

0:07:11 > 0:07:14Cos they're magical, like me.

0:07:14 > 0:07:17Aw, I like that, I like that. I like that.

0:07:20 > 0:07:24My cake is called The Enchanted Oak, and it's inspired by my

0:07:24 > 0:07:28primary school, because it had a huge oak tree in the centre, so...

0:07:28 > 0:07:31And that was probably one of the best years of my life.

0:07:31 > 0:07:33I loved primary school.

0:07:33 > 0:07:37Megan's fondant enchanted oak will decorate her three-tiered cake.

0:07:37 > 0:07:39The top and bottom tiers will be carrot cake,

0:07:39 > 0:07:42sandwiched together with cream cheese buttercream,

0:07:42 > 0:07:45and the middle layer will be a chocolate and vanilla swirl cake.

0:07:45 > 0:07:49- Morning, Megan.- Good morning. - Tell us what you're making, Megan?

0:07:49 > 0:07:52It's going to be pale green, so it's going to be the back of the forest.

0:07:52 > 0:07:55- I'm going to have one tree, sort of, climbing the cake.- Nice.

0:07:55 > 0:07:56I'm going to try and mould that.

0:07:56 > 0:07:58That's not going to have any leaves on it,

0:07:58 > 0:08:00so it's more enchanted and mystical.

0:08:00 > 0:08:02Then, the ivy at the back is going to be growing up

0:08:02 > 0:08:05and it's going to be pointing towards a bouquet of flowers.

0:08:05 > 0:08:07How many times have you done this bake?

0:08:07 > 0:08:09Three, but I've never done it so it's all completed.

0:08:09 > 0:08:12I think today's a perfect day to do something for the first time.

0:08:12 > 0:08:15- Yeah! I hope so.- All right, Megan, good luck.- Thank you.

0:08:15 > 0:08:18- Head down, keep focused, watch the time.- Yeah, yeah.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21Welsh rugby supporter Megan has made cakes decorated

0:08:21 > 0:08:23with rugby pitches, but her showstopper reflects

0:08:23 > 0:08:25her other interest in nature.

0:08:25 > 0:08:27I'm trying to create a marble effect,

0:08:27 > 0:08:30but it's so, because it's inside the cake, I wanted to do something

0:08:30 > 0:08:33that is, sort of, like a tree, like the bark where it swivels.

0:08:33 > 0:08:38This is my orange and cinnamon cake.

0:08:38 > 0:08:41It's really important to get the flavours right, because

0:08:41 > 0:08:44if you don't get the flavours right, it'll be a bit pointless.

0:08:47 > 0:08:49That's better.

0:08:49 > 0:08:51This is just a plain sponge.

0:08:51 > 0:08:53Oh, I was meant to put vanilla in that.

0:08:53 > 0:08:55- Oh, well, I'm not. - It tastes all right.

0:08:55 > 0:08:58My red velvet cake is going to be in the shape of a tree.

0:08:58 > 0:09:01The inspiration behind my cake is one of my favourite books

0:09:01 > 0:09:04when I was a child, The Magic Faraway Tree.

0:09:04 > 0:09:07I'm doing four tiers, so I hope it really impresses the judges.

0:09:07 > 0:09:10Euan's bottom two red velvet tiers will be hollowed

0:09:10 > 0:09:13out in the middle to create pinata cakes,

0:09:13 > 0:09:16which he'll fill with jelly beans and white chocolate ganache.

0:09:16 > 0:09:20His top two tiers will be citrus cakes filled with popping candy.

0:09:20 > 0:09:24I've soaked one of my citrus cakes with this mixture, which is

0:09:24 > 0:09:27caster sugar, lime juice, lemon juice and orange juice,

0:09:27 > 0:09:30which will create a sort of lemony drizzle.

0:09:31 > 0:09:33Euan's favourite subject at school is art.

0:09:33 > 0:09:39When he's older, he'd either like to be a designer or own his own bakery.

0:09:39 > 0:09:41I'll have chocolate ganache on the outside and buttercream

0:09:41 > 0:09:48for the tree, and then I'm going to use some biscuit crumbs as the grass

0:09:48 > 0:09:52and I'm going to have little mushrooms and stuff on it.

0:09:52 > 0:09:55With her chocolate swirl cakes in the oven,

0:09:55 > 0:09:58Megan has moved onto her carrot cakes.

0:09:58 > 0:09:59It's dripping everywhere.

0:09:59 > 0:10:02This carrot cake's got a lot of baking powder in it,

0:10:02 > 0:10:03so it does rise.

0:10:05 > 0:10:07If you want to bake at home,

0:10:07 > 0:10:10make sure an adult knows what you're doing.

0:10:10 > 0:10:11Hope for the best.

0:10:11 > 0:10:14I have practised my time-keeping and it has been under-baked,

0:10:14 > 0:10:17so I'm going to have to make sure that I can take it out

0:10:17 > 0:10:18at just the right time.

0:10:18 > 0:10:21So after about 30 minutes, I will check it, just in case.

0:10:23 > 0:10:25Bakers, there's already an hour gone.

0:10:25 > 0:10:27You've got one and a half hours left.

0:10:27 > 0:10:33I'm going to have to take this one out to check the back ones.

0:10:34 > 0:10:36Yeah, a lot.

0:10:37 > 0:10:41Maybe about another ten minutes.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43- Hi there, Alyth. - Hello.- Hey, Alyth.

0:10:43 > 0:10:46So how many cakes have you got in the oven now?

0:10:46 > 0:10:49I have two-tiered cakes but they're, like, that thick,

0:10:49 > 0:10:52so they take, like, an hour long to cook, each.

0:10:52 > 0:10:54- That's a lot of cake.- Yeah.

0:10:55 > 0:10:58Oh! That's really not ready. OK.

0:11:00 > 0:11:02I can't really tell. I'm scared to open it because they'll sink,

0:11:02 > 0:11:05but I can't tell whether it's golden.

0:11:09 > 0:11:13Yay, they're done. Right, OK, wow, all right.

0:11:13 > 0:11:16Some people have already taken their cakes out of the oven.

0:11:22 > 0:11:24That wasn't very hard, was it?

0:11:24 > 0:11:28Test. Phew! OK, they're cooked, everything's fine.

0:11:31 > 0:11:33Hot.

0:11:35 > 0:11:38Yes, perfectly cooked.

0:11:38 > 0:11:40Well, really happy about that.

0:11:40 > 0:11:42I'm doing OK for time.

0:11:42 > 0:11:45I just need at least 20 minutes to assemble it all,

0:11:45 > 0:11:47but I need it to cool.

0:11:47 > 0:11:50If I put them in the fridge, they shouldn't take that long.

0:11:52 > 0:11:54I thought I just threw the cake in the sink, then.

0:11:59 > 0:12:01Waiting outside at the woodland party

0:12:01 > 0:12:03are the bakers' family and friends.

0:12:03 > 0:12:06Euan's probably worked harder on Junior Bake Off

0:12:06 > 0:12:09than he has on anything ever in his life.

0:12:09 > 0:12:12Baking means a lot to Alyth.

0:12:12 > 0:12:15She's enjoyed baking with Bob since she was four.

0:12:15 > 0:12:17Yes, I taught Alyth to bake, but she has taught herself

0:12:17 > 0:12:18a lot, as well.

0:12:18 > 0:12:22She's very good at taking a recipe, reading it

0:12:22 > 0:12:25and then producing it well. She's very good like that, yes.

0:12:25 > 0:12:28Me and my family have eaten a lot of Amari's bakes.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31We've eaten cake for breakfast.

0:12:31 > 0:12:36She's been doing lots of different bakes, like tarts and cakes,

0:12:36 > 0:12:40and pizza, which I seriously liked.

0:12:40 > 0:12:42Megan's always been a perfectionist.

0:12:42 > 0:12:45Everything she does, she does want to be the best at, which is

0:12:45 > 0:12:48difficult sometimes when they're not the best.

0:12:48 > 0:12:51I think Megan would absolutely love to win.

0:12:51 > 0:12:53She absolutely loves to bake.

0:12:55 > 0:12:58And I actually love eating it, too.

0:13:00 > 0:13:04- Can I borrow a spoon?- Spoon, yes. - That looks awesome.- It's just icing.

0:13:04 > 0:13:06I know, but it looks amazing.

0:13:08 > 0:13:10Back in the tent, decorations can begin.

0:13:13 > 0:13:17I am just beginning to just roll out some of my icing for my waterfall.

0:13:21 > 0:13:23The reason why it's pink is because unicorns

0:13:23 > 0:13:28like to bathe in pink water.

0:13:28 > 0:13:29For this final cake,

0:13:29 > 0:13:33the decoration is just as important as the flavours inside.

0:13:33 > 0:13:34I'm happy with my cakes.

0:13:34 > 0:13:37I'm just now a little bit worried about time because I've got to

0:13:37 > 0:13:39buttercream them all and fondant them all.

0:13:39 > 0:13:42Just a little bit worried.

0:13:42 > 0:13:43I'm making meringue buttercream.

0:13:43 > 0:13:48What you have to do first is, you have to mix the egg whites

0:13:48 > 0:13:52and caster sugar over a heat until the caster sugar is fully dissolved.

0:13:52 > 0:13:55Euan and Alyth have chosen to decorate their cakes with chocolate.

0:13:55 > 0:13:58With the chocolate ganache, you need to make sure that you don't

0:13:58 > 0:14:00burn your chocolate.

0:14:00 > 0:14:05You need to have a good shine on it, and quite a nice thick consistency.

0:14:07 > 0:14:11I think I might need more white chocolate. It went lumpy.

0:14:11 > 0:14:15I am just taking out the middle of this cake,

0:14:15 > 0:14:17cos it's going to be a pinata cake.

0:14:18 > 0:14:20Euan is the only baker attempting to remove

0:14:20 > 0:14:23the centre of his cakes before assembling them.

0:14:23 > 0:14:27I've chosen jelly beans because I think jelly beans are quite fun.

0:14:27 > 0:14:32I hope the judges will get blueberry, liquorice,

0:14:32 > 0:14:35chocolate pudding, and tutti frutti.

0:14:38 > 0:14:41A few more minutes. How much longer do we have?

0:14:45 > 0:14:49Bakers, you've got half an hour left. Already two hours gone.

0:14:51 > 0:14:52This is meringue buttercream.

0:14:52 > 0:14:57I am putting it to sandwich them and I'm putting it on the outside

0:14:57 > 0:14:59and I'm also using it as the waterfall.

0:14:59 > 0:15:01Have you got your cakes out the oven?

0:15:01 > 0:15:03One of them is.

0:15:03 > 0:15:05Are you nervous you're going to get it done in time?

0:15:05 > 0:15:07A little bit.

0:15:07 > 0:15:09I'm a little bit rushed for time just because I've done

0:15:09 > 0:15:11so much, so I'm quite worried now.

0:15:21 > 0:15:24Yes. Thank goodness it's out.

0:15:26 > 0:15:28- Hey, Amari.- How are you doing? - Wow!

0:15:28 > 0:15:30- Hello.- I need my sunglasses.

0:15:30 > 0:15:32It's a right feast for the eyes, that, isn't it?

0:15:32 > 0:15:36Today, Amari, are you going to show Graham and I your best,

0:15:36 > 0:15:37tidiest finishing?

0:15:37 > 0:15:38I'm going to try.

0:15:39 > 0:15:42Fondant icing isn't very easy at all to work with.

0:15:42 > 0:15:44It's just I needed a clean finish.

0:15:44 > 0:15:47It's going to cover all of my three cakes, so up to the top.

0:15:49 > 0:15:51It's a lot of work.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59Hmm, right.

0:16:00 > 0:16:03Phew, that was close.

0:16:03 > 0:16:05- Do you want a brush? - Oh, yes, please.

0:16:07 > 0:16:09- There you go. - Cheers.

0:16:10 > 0:16:13This is my second lot of white chocolate

0:16:13 > 0:16:14and I'm going to keep an eye on it.

0:16:14 > 0:16:17This is the final and I can't afford to make the chocolate, just,

0:16:17 > 0:16:18ruin my chances.

0:16:20 > 0:16:22Come on!

0:16:22 > 0:16:26This is desiccated coconut dyed green as the moss.

0:16:38 > 0:16:4015 minutes remain on the final showstopper.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47EXHALES

0:16:50 > 0:16:55In previous rounds, the judges have commented on my flavours,

0:16:55 > 0:16:58but, today, I'm kind of staying a little bit more safe with

0:16:58 > 0:17:02the flavours and more focusing on the decoration.

0:17:02 > 0:17:03This is so terrible.

0:17:05 > 0:17:08Some people have just taken theirs out of the fridge.

0:17:08 > 0:17:10I took mine out of the fridge ages ago,

0:17:10 > 0:17:13so I'm thinking, is mine too simple?

0:17:15 > 0:17:20I'm using brown fondant just to mould the tree, like an oak tree.

0:17:21 > 0:17:23Isn't that lemon drizzle?

0:17:23 > 0:17:25It's more like a citrus drizzle.

0:17:25 > 0:17:27Oh!

0:17:27 > 0:17:30If I don't get it in in time, then I won't have a cake

0:17:30 > 0:17:34for the judges, or a place for the unicorns to live.

0:17:34 > 0:17:35Five minutes to go.

0:17:49 > 0:17:54- It's looking perfect. - Where's the front?

0:17:54 > 0:17:57These are the chocolate cheese that I made at home.

0:17:57 > 0:18:00That's meant to be at the top of my tree,

0:18:00 > 0:18:03which will be where the land of goodies is.

0:18:05 > 0:18:06I'm shaking so much.

0:18:13 > 0:18:15Right, it's all together.

0:18:17 > 0:18:20It can wobble a bit towards the top, so...

0:18:20 > 0:18:23Fingers crossed it all stays together.

0:18:23 > 0:18:27I'm worried that my cake might fall over, cos it's getting quite wobbly.

0:18:34 > 0:18:38I'm going to put you... You're going to be at the side somewhere.

0:18:39 > 0:18:43- Oh, that looks really good. - I am so, so nervous.

0:18:43 > 0:18:46I've got some unicorns, marshmallows for rocks.

0:18:46 > 0:18:51BOTH: Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five,

0:18:51 > 0:18:56four, three, two, one. Stop!

0:18:56 > 0:18:58- That's it.- All done.

0:18:58 > 0:19:01Step away. Well done, bakers, that is it.

0:19:01 > 0:19:05You have completed Junior Bake Off.

0:19:11 > 0:19:13I feel really sick that it's kind of over now,

0:19:13 > 0:19:16because I really wanted to have a really good one at the end and

0:19:16 > 0:19:20I'm not sure whether that's really, really good, so I'm worried now.

0:19:21 > 0:19:25I hope the judges say it's really nice flavours, nice and moist,

0:19:25 > 0:19:30and I hope they don't notice that I was rushed for time.

0:19:30 > 0:19:32I hope that they say that it's amazing

0:19:32 > 0:19:36and the best cake that they've ever had in their whole entire lives.

0:19:36 > 0:19:38But I know they won't say that.

0:19:38 > 0:19:41I'm hoping the judges will like the flavour of my bake,

0:19:41 > 0:19:44and I'm also hoping that they'll like the design

0:19:44 > 0:19:46and I really hope they enjoy it, as well.

0:19:51 > 0:19:55For the final showstopper, the judges wanted evenly baked

0:19:55 > 0:19:58layers within a two-tiered cake which was well-flavoured,

0:19:58 > 0:20:02well-constructed and looked visually striking.

0:20:06 > 0:20:10It looks great, it look absolutely full of fun.

0:20:10 > 0:20:12Snowmen, unicorn, a cupcake.

0:20:15 > 0:20:20That cake, Alyth, that cake is yummy. Really good flavour.

0:20:20 > 0:20:23Really nice texture, I like the cherry bits,

0:20:23 > 0:20:27it's really moist, it's a really nice, yummy eat.

0:20:27 > 0:20:28Thank you.

0:20:28 > 0:20:32- The icing, I don't think it needs quite so much...- OK.

0:20:32 > 0:20:34..because the cake is that good. And the next layer is?

0:20:34 > 0:20:36Chocolate orange.

0:20:37 > 0:20:40Graham's about to do something that he doesn't do very often - smile.

0:20:40 > 0:20:43Another great cake. The orange is lovely in that.

0:20:43 > 0:20:45Just the right balance. These cakes are good.

0:20:45 > 0:20:46Thank you.

0:20:56 > 0:20:59So we asked you for a two-tier cake, you gave us a four-tier cake.

0:20:59 > 0:21:00It is full of charm.

0:21:00 > 0:21:02You've done a phenomenal amount of work.

0:21:02 > 0:21:05You've tried to construct it, you haven't necessarily hit it

0:21:05 > 0:21:07because you haven't built it up straight.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09- This top layer is lemon, yes? - Citrus.- Citrus.

0:21:09 > 0:21:13It's got lemon, lime and orange something inside of it.

0:21:13 > 0:21:15- Popping candy, is that?- Yeah.

0:21:15 > 0:21:18Really good colour, and also I love the contrast of the orange

0:21:18 > 0:21:20and the green. It's very fun.

0:21:20 > 0:21:21It's got a good texture to the sponge.

0:21:21 > 0:21:25- It's a little moist, which is good. - And I really like the crumb to it.

0:21:25 > 0:21:26It's just how I like a Victoria sponge.

0:21:26 > 0:21:28Euan, I'm going in for your second cake now.

0:21:28 > 0:21:30Can you remind me of the flavour of the base?

0:21:30 > 0:21:34It is a red velvet cake with mixed berries in it.

0:21:34 > 0:21:35Wow.

0:21:35 > 0:21:38When you were cooking your red velvet cakes, I saw you took them

0:21:38 > 0:21:41out of the oven and you placed them straight into the fridge.

0:21:41 > 0:21:45The tins have kept cooking the sponge, and what you've got

0:21:45 > 0:21:47is a fairly dry sponge here, you know, it powders off.

0:21:47 > 0:21:50But, you know, you can see four definite layers there,

0:21:50 > 0:21:52and it is full of charm.

0:21:52 > 0:21:53Well done.

0:22:02 > 0:22:06Megan, is this absolutely finished for you?

0:22:06 > 0:22:07Not for me, no.

0:22:07 > 0:22:09It's your old enemy, timing.

0:22:09 > 0:22:11Although the cake is standing, it's got the three structures,

0:22:11 > 0:22:16- I just think it doesn't necessarily give us the true Megan.- Yeah.

0:22:16 > 0:22:19You have to say, your finishing is professional standard looking,

0:22:19 > 0:22:20I would say.

0:22:20 > 0:22:23That's why it takes me so long.

0:22:25 > 0:22:27- I like it. - Oh, thank you.

0:22:27 > 0:22:30I like the cinnamon in it, I like the spices, the walnuts are good.

0:22:30 > 0:22:33As a carrot cake goes, for me,

0:22:33 > 0:22:36maybe the texture needs to be slightly closer, a touch less

0:22:36 > 0:22:40baking powder, because, for me, the air holes are slightly big.

0:22:40 > 0:22:42OK, I'm just going to cut through your second tier,

0:22:42 > 0:22:45which is your chocolate and vanilla swirl.

0:22:46 > 0:22:47The cake is nice and moist.

0:22:47 > 0:22:49You do pick up the chocolate,

0:22:49 > 0:22:51you do pick up the vanilla from the buttercream,

0:22:51 > 0:22:54but you don't pick up the vanilla from the sponge.

0:22:54 > 0:22:57You're a really gifted young baker,

0:22:57 > 0:22:59it's just you need to get your timings down.

0:23:06 > 0:23:10It is vintage Amari.

0:23:10 > 0:23:14You feel something, you see it in your mind and then you make it

0:23:14 > 0:23:16and you bake it. Genius.

0:23:19 > 0:23:22You have got even bakes, even amount of buttercream.

0:23:22 > 0:23:25Good flavour of orange. Even the coconut goes well.

0:23:25 > 0:23:27- Try the top one?- Yeah.

0:23:29 > 0:23:30Not grabbing that ginger.

0:23:30 > 0:23:33You've got little ginger pieces through it?

0:23:33 > 0:23:34Yeah, little bits of stem ginger.

0:23:34 > 0:23:38Mmm, score, very nice.

0:23:38 > 0:23:41They are really nice when you get one, but you don't always get one,

0:23:41 > 0:23:43and you need to have at least one in every bite.

0:23:43 > 0:23:44What a load of fun, Amari.

0:23:44 > 0:23:47- You can consider that a very good bake, well done.- Thank you.

0:23:51 > 0:23:53APPLAUSE

0:23:53 > 0:23:57As Amari, Euan, Megan and Alyth join their families

0:23:57 > 0:23:58and friends at the woodland tea party,

0:23:58 > 0:24:02the judges must decide on their winner.

0:24:02 > 0:24:06So, judges, last showstopper in the Bake Off tent.

0:24:06 > 0:24:08What a fantastic few weeks we have had.

0:24:08 > 0:24:11How proud are you of our bakers?

0:24:11 > 0:24:15Oh, extraordinarily, they have all been amazing.

0:24:15 > 0:24:19Now, let's go to someone who had his nose in front from this

0:24:19 > 0:24:21morning, you said. Euan. How did he get on?

0:24:21 > 0:24:24He's not shy of trying to push the boundaries and to challenge himself.

0:24:24 > 0:24:27You know, he's challenged himself a step too far.

0:24:27 > 0:24:30He's got a nice idea with the cake,

0:24:30 > 0:24:32but, essentially, the finish isn't there.

0:24:32 > 0:24:34Let's move onto Megan.

0:24:34 > 0:24:37Unfortunately, it looks like a finished cake without much

0:24:37 > 0:24:39character, because that was what she was going to put on.

0:24:39 > 0:24:42Those last bits were going to be the thing that gave it soul

0:24:42 > 0:24:44and made it Megan.

0:24:44 > 0:24:46Now, Amari, she's had, like, kind of a mixed bag couple of days,

0:24:46 > 0:24:49- hasn't she? - She gave us a proper showstopper.

0:24:49 > 0:24:52She's given us loads of different colours, she's given us well-baked,

0:24:52 > 0:24:55well-flavoured, she's given us everything we were asking for.

0:24:55 > 0:24:57Let's move onto the wonderfully weird world...

0:24:57 > 0:24:59- Eccentric.- ..of Alyth.

0:24:59 > 0:25:02She is creative through and through.

0:25:02 > 0:25:04Large cakes take a long time to cook.

0:25:04 > 0:25:06Very easy to overcook, very easy to under-cook.

0:25:06 > 0:25:08These are really well-balanced.

0:25:08 > 0:25:10Judges, this is really, really tough.

0:25:10 > 0:25:13Have you got any idea where we're going to give the

0:25:13 > 0:25:14Junior Bake Off title to?

0:25:14 > 0:25:20There are some strong, strong, strong players on the table.

0:25:28 > 0:25:31APPLAUSE

0:25:34 > 0:25:36Bakers, family and friends,

0:25:36 > 0:25:39welcome to the Junior Bake Off woodland party.

0:25:39 > 0:25:42- Are you all enjoying yourselves? ALL:- Yes!- Whey!

0:25:42 > 0:25:44You look like you're enjoying yourselves.

0:25:44 > 0:25:46But this is the big moment.

0:25:46 > 0:25:48We've come to the end.

0:25:48 > 0:25:53Could Amari, Alyth, Megan and Euan please step forward.

0:25:53 > 0:25:57APPLAUSE

0:26:07 > 0:26:10Bakers, the judges have made their decision.

0:26:12 > 0:26:15The winner of Junior Bake Off 2015 is...

0:26:23 > 0:26:25Amari!

0:26:25 > 0:26:28CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:26:28 > 0:26:31There you are, lovely. Well done!

0:26:35 > 0:26:38They said my name and I didn't really expect it.

0:26:38 > 0:26:41I thought it was going to be like Alyth or someone,

0:26:41 > 0:26:45so I was really, really surprised.

0:26:45 > 0:26:47Give it up for the rest of our bakers, guys, though.

0:26:47 > 0:26:50Amazing. Fantastic. Great finalists.

0:26:51 > 0:26:54Amari, today, in the final showstopper, showed precision,

0:26:54 > 0:26:57a well-baked, well thought out, well-processed,

0:26:57 > 0:27:01well-flavoured and well-executed final bake.

0:27:01 > 0:27:04That's why she's our champion.

0:27:04 > 0:27:08Both Graham and I had absolutely no doubt it had to be Amari.

0:27:08 > 0:27:11She has the vision, she is our worthy champion.

0:27:13 > 0:27:15From this experience, I think I'm probably going to take away

0:27:15 > 0:27:17happiness, some new baking skills,

0:27:17 > 0:27:20new friends and I think a bit more happiness.

0:27:23 > 0:27:24I really loved Amari.

0:27:24 > 0:27:27I think any of us winning would have been amazing,

0:27:27 > 0:27:31whether it be myself or would have been any of the other bakers.

0:27:31 > 0:27:35You just become so close, so, yeah, I think she really deserved to win.

0:27:36 > 0:27:38You just have to believe in yourself

0:27:38 > 0:27:43and when you believe in yourself, you can accomplish anything.

0:27:43 > 0:27:45I never thought that I would actually win, and I did,

0:27:45 > 0:27:47so I'm really, really happy.
