0:00:09 > 0:00:10Hey, Lifebabblers.
0:00:10 > 0:00:13Today's episode is all about family and dealing with the changes.
0:00:13 > 0:00:16Nothing ever stays the same, but sometimes it can be tough
0:00:16 > 0:00:18when things change in your life,
0:00:18 > 0:00:19especially at home.
0:00:19 > 0:00:22So, have you experienced any family changes?
0:00:26 > 0:00:28Everyone's is different.
0:00:28 > 0:00:30They come in all shapes and sizes.
0:00:30 > 0:00:32Sometimes, they get bigger.
0:00:32 > 0:00:34Sometimes, they get smaller.
0:00:36 > 0:00:38Sometimes, two become one,
0:00:38 > 0:00:41and sometimes one becomes two.
0:00:41 > 0:00:44New people can arrive, young or old.
0:00:44 > 0:00:45Pets can be like family too.
0:00:45 > 0:00:47MIAOW!
0:00:47 > 0:00:49The only thing you can say about every family
0:00:49 > 0:00:52is there's no-one else quite like them.
0:00:54 > 0:00:56Change is pretty normal,
0:00:56 > 0:00:59but that doesn't mean it's always the easiest thing to deal with.
0:00:59 > 0:01:01Recently this year my parents became foster parents
0:01:01 > 0:01:03so I now have a new foster sister.
0:01:03 > 0:01:06My parents separated, I moved house and country,
0:01:06 > 0:01:08and at first it was really difficult.
0:01:08 > 0:01:09Having someone else living in the house
0:01:09 > 0:01:12did start to worry me a little bit at first.
0:01:12 > 0:01:14And there were days where I was really angry and really upset,
0:01:14 > 0:01:17and sometimes I was just really nervous because I had no idea
0:01:17 > 0:01:19what these new changes were going to bring into my life.
0:01:19 > 0:01:22But as time's gone on I've started to get used to it,
0:01:22 > 0:01:23and it's just become normal.
0:01:23 > 0:01:25Turns out, I worried for nothing.
0:01:25 > 0:01:28It brought all these amazing people into my life.
0:01:28 > 0:01:30Whether your family is changing or anything else,
0:01:30 > 0:01:31it's natural to be nervous.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34I guess change isn't really that bad. It's good.
0:01:37 > 0:01:40Some things in life, you just can't control.
0:01:40 > 0:01:43But it's OK to feel lots of different emotions
0:01:43 > 0:01:45when things change at home.
0:01:45 > 0:01:47If something new happens in your family,
0:01:47 > 0:01:50you might feel confused, or sad.
0:01:50 > 0:01:52You might feel excited.
0:01:52 > 0:01:55Or you might feel worried and nervous.
0:01:55 > 0:01:57Change is a normal part of life.
0:01:57 > 0:02:01But if something IS worrying you, don't keep it to yourself.
0:02:01 > 0:02:05Talk to a friend or family member, or someone YOU trust,
0:02:05 > 0:02:07about how you're feeling.
0:02:07 > 0:02:08PHONE RINGS
0:02:09 > 0:02:11When I was just six,
0:02:11 > 0:02:13my mum and dad separated,
0:02:13 > 0:02:15and I was confused
0:02:15 > 0:02:17because my dad was moving out of the house.
0:02:17 > 0:02:19I got upset, and it felt weird thinking about
0:02:19 > 0:02:22my dad not living with us any more.
0:02:22 > 0:02:25Going to dance really helped me cope with the change,
0:02:25 > 0:02:27with Dad moving away.
0:02:27 > 0:02:31I am now used to just seeing him at the weekends.
0:02:31 > 0:02:35Now, my mum has a new partner, and I have an older stepsister
0:02:35 > 0:02:37who I adore.
0:02:39 > 0:02:41Sometimes change, or other pressures,
0:02:41 > 0:02:44can cause conflicts or arguments in families, or among adults.
0:02:44 > 0:02:47It can be really difficult when people argue at home,
0:02:47 > 0:02:48especially parents,
0:02:48 > 0:02:50and lots of young people experience it.
0:02:50 > 0:02:52You are not in control of how parents act,
0:02:52 > 0:02:54and it is not your fault when adults argue.
0:02:54 > 0:02:57But always tell someone how you feel,
0:02:57 > 0:03:01and remember, in most cases, life is not always going to be like this.
0:03:07 > 0:03:10# So something's different
0:03:10 > 0:03:12# Not quite the same
0:03:13 > 0:03:17# It can be hard at first, but no, it's not the worst
0:03:17 > 0:03:20# Even though it'll feel a bit strange
0:03:20 > 0:03:23# Change is a normal part of everyday life
0:03:23 > 0:03:26# So try to take it in your stride
0:03:26 > 0:03:28# Cos something's different
0:03:28 > 0:03:31# And you'll be OK. #
