0:00:22 > 0:00:24At home or at school,

0:00:24 > 0:00:26by one person or even a group of people -

0:00:26 > 0:00:28it can take loads of different forms.

0:00:28 > 0:00:29Like being teased.

0:00:38 > 0:00:41Being kicked, pushed, hit or physically hurt.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43Bullying isn't always easy to spot.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45Sometimes it can be subtle and happen over time.

0:00:45 > 0:00:48You could be bullied for all kinds of reasons,

0:00:48 > 0:00:49like your accent.

0:00:49 > 0:00:51Or because you wear glasses.

0:00:51 > 0:00:53- BOTH:- You stand out from the crowd.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56Or just because of who you are.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59Bullying can happen online, in person or on your phone.

0:00:59 > 0:01:01Like I said, nightmare.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05Even when people know that they are being bullied,

0:01:05 > 0:01:08it can be really difficult to make it stop.

0:01:08 > 0:01:11Sometimes people struggle because they don't know what to do.

0:01:11 > 0:01:14They might be scared that if they say something

0:01:14 > 0:01:16then they could make the situation worse.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19Or don't want to get the other person in trouble.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21They may even think it's their fault.

0:01:21 > 0:01:24And sometimes people don't even realise they're being bullied.

0:01:24 > 0:01:27You don't have to deal with bullying on your own

0:01:27 > 0:01:29and help is available.

0:01:30 > 0:01:31Tell someone.

0:01:31 > 0:01:33Never keep bullying to yourself.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35It can be hard to deal with all the negative emotions

0:01:35 > 0:01:37that come with being bullied,

0:01:37 > 0:01:39but being nasty back will only hurt in the long run.

0:01:39 > 0:01:40Build your confidence.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43Think about what's good in your life and what's good about you.

0:01:43 > 0:01:44Give yourself praise for it.

0:01:44 > 0:01:47Practise being assertive so you feel confident being you.

0:01:47 > 0:01:49You are entitled to your own opinion.

0:01:49 > 0:01:50Saying what you feel

0:01:50 > 0:01:52and how you feel doesn't come naturally to everyone.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54It's a skill and it takes practice.

0:01:54 > 0:01:56Remember that if it is dealt with,

0:01:56 > 0:01:57things will get better.

0:01:57 > 0:01:59It can be hard to believe,

0:01:59 > 0:02:01but you can and you will get through this.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03PHONE RINGS

0:02:03 > 0:02:06- GIRL:- I was bullied for my appearance

0:02:06 > 0:02:09cos I was a little bit bigger than some of the other girls

0:02:09 > 0:02:11and I was a bit smarter.

0:02:11 > 0:02:14So I'd be called silly things like nerd and geek

0:02:14 > 0:02:15and I wore glasses a lot.

0:02:15 > 0:02:20To help myself, I decided to stop interacting with people

0:02:20 > 0:02:22who were bullying me and just getting me down,

0:02:22 > 0:02:24which helped a lot.

0:02:24 > 0:02:25And as I've got older,

0:02:25 > 0:02:28I've learnt I don't have to worry what people think of me

0:02:28 > 0:02:30and I've got loads of brilliant friends now

0:02:30 > 0:02:32who support me through everything.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36I've been bullied before because I'm transgender

0:02:36 > 0:02:38and it was the worst feeling ever.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41And the best thing to do, which is what I did,

0:02:41 > 0:02:43is to stay strong, stay proud, and be who you are.

0:02:43 > 0:02:45Yes, I've experienced bullying.

0:02:45 > 0:02:48I ended up telling a teacher and distancing myself from those friends

0:02:48 > 0:02:50because the bullying made me feel really sad and lonely.

0:02:50 > 0:02:55My best advice for bullying is to get support and talk to someone.

0:02:55 > 0:02:57# There's a boy in my class

0:02:57 > 0:03:01# He always gives me grief when I walk past

0:03:01 > 0:03:05# Just because I don't like the same bands as him

0:03:05 > 0:03:08# There's kids who point and laugh

0:03:08 > 0:03:10# They say I'm too tall

0:03:10 > 0:03:13# But that's not fair at all

0:03:13 > 0:03:18# Well, what can I do about that?

0:03:18 > 0:03:21# There's nothing wrong with me

0:03:21 > 0:03:24# It's make believe the things that they say

0:03:24 > 0:03:26# I know who I am

0:03:26 > 0:03:28# And the great things that I do

0:03:28 > 0:03:33# So to your mean words I say

0:03:33 > 0:03:35# No, thank you. #

0:03:37 > 0:03:38That's all for this Lifebabble.

0:03:38 > 0:03:41No-one deserves to be bullied.
