0:00:28 > 0:00:31like sharing, caring and helping others.

0:01:03 > 0:01:06I like it when people say, "Hello" or, "Good morning" to me,
0:01:06 > 0:01:09because it makes me feel like I'm part
0:01:09 > 0:01:11of a happy and friendly community.
0:01:11 > 0:01:16And sometimes you can end up making new friends
0:01:16 > 0:01:19and having a really nice conversation with people.

0:01:21 > 0:01:24I thought social responsibility was about things that I couldn't do.
0:01:24 > 0:01:26Well, what can I do right now?
0:01:26 > 0:01:29You can give me one of those.
0:01:29 > 0:01:30And what will you do to show you care?
0:01:30 > 0:01:33I'll do the dishes, even though it's your turn.
0:01:33 > 0:01:35And instead of cranking up the heating,
0:01:35 > 0:01:38we can put on jumpers and blankets.
0:01:38 > 0:01:41We've just done three socially responsible things.

0:01:50 > 0:01:54Social responsibility can sound complicated and serious.
0:01:54 > 0:01:58But it's simply about us being kind, caring and looking after this planet
0:01:58 > 0:01:59that we will share together.
0:01:59 > 0:02:01You can't solve everything,
0:02:01 > 0:02:03but there are things that we can all do to help.
0:02:03 > 0:02:06At home, you could help your family clean the house,
0:02:06 > 0:02:09sort out the rubbish or take the dog out for a walk.
0:02:09 > 0:02:12Check and see if your school is involved in a local project,
0:02:12 > 0:02:14or helping communities in a faraway place.
0:02:14 > 0:02:18Look out for litter clean-up days in your community, and volunteer.
0:02:18 > 0:02:21Whether you're at home, school or out and about,
0:02:21 > 0:02:24we can all make socially responsible choices.
0:02:26 > 0:02:30I think that I make a difference as I try to promote positivity
0:02:30 > 0:02:31amongst the people around me.
0:02:31 > 0:02:34I try to find a positive from a negative situation.
0:02:34 > 0:02:38I do quite a bit of work with young people in my area when I can.
0:02:38 > 0:02:40I try to show them that they can do great things,
0:02:40 > 0:02:43by giving footballers football boots, for example.
0:02:43 > 0:02:46Or giving people that like to read books to read.
0:02:46 > 0:02:50I love doing it and it feels good when I do do it.
0:02:50 > 0:02:53I also like to volunteer with local organisations,
0:02:53 > 0:02:55such as the ones that take care of abandoned animals.
0:02:55 > 0:02:58Finding ways to help others is great. But remember -
0:02:58 > 0:03:00every single act counts.
0:03:00 > 0:03:02Not just the big ones.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07I helped to organise a fundraising bake sale,
0:03:07 > 0:03:10which allowed the school to buy some new PE equipment
0:03:10 > 0:03:15and repaint the school running track with the money raised.
