0:00:31 > 0:00:35Hello! Or Jambo, as we say here.

0:00:37 > 0:00:40Welcome to the wide, grassy plains of Africa,

0:00:40 > 0:00:44and a very special place, called the Masai Mara.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49This is home to all of our Little Big Cats,

0:00:49 > 0:00:52and is a land full of stories.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56It is a hot, dry day today.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00But keep your eye on those clouds,

0:01:00 > 0:01:03because they can change very quickly.

0:01:04 > 0:01:08All the animals here are used to the heat, and have very

0:01:08 > 0:01:11different ways of keeping cool.

0:01:11 > 0:01:17The ostriches are walking around, trying to cool off in the breeze.

0:01:17 > 0:01:22The sleepy crocodile is sunbathing in the cool, muddy water.

0:01:23 > 0:01:30And the stripy zebras are swishing away the flies with their tails.

0:01:33 > 0:01:38I wonder which of our Little Big Cats will be keeping cool today.

0:01:38 > 0:01:43Will it be the la-a-a-zy lions?

0:01:44 > 0:01:47The speedy cheetahs?

0:01:47 > 0:01:51Or the lonesome leopards?

0:01:53 > 0:01:54It's my story!

0:01:56 > 0:01:59It's Kito, the cheetah cub! Jambo, Kito!

0:01:59 > 0:02:01Jambo!

0:02:06 > 0:02:08My favourite!

0:02:08 > 0:02:11This is my Mama - Mama Doa.

0:02:12 > 0:02:17We love sitting up here, cos we can see all the animals.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21Like the big, grey elephants.

0:02:21 > 0:02:25Wow! How did they find all that water?!

0:02:25 > 0:02:27SLURP! SLURP!

0:02:27 > 0:02:32Imagine drinking through your nose! Hee hee hee!

0:02:34 > 0:02:39Their trunks are like great, big, bendy straws.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42SLURP!

0:02:44 > 0:02:46Oh! Mama's off.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49Where are we going, Mama? I hope it's for a run!

0:02:54 > 0:02:57I love running when it's hot and dry.

0:03:02 > 0:03:05We can run and run and nobody can catch us!

0:03:07 > 0:03:09SNORT! GRUNT!

0:03:12 > 0:03:16Running is what us cheetahs do best.

0:03:34 > 0:03:37But Mama, why is there no sunshine over there?

0:03:37 > 0:03:39The sky is so dark.

0:03:39 > 0:03:41Is it the night time?

0:03:42 > 0:03:46Mama Doa explains that the clouds have covered the sun,

0:03:46 > 0:03:48and because they look so dark and heavy,

0:03:48 > 0:03:51there is a rainstorm on the way!

0:03:51 > 0:03:53THUNDER RUMBLES

0:03:53 > 0:03:58Whoa! What's that loud noise? And that big, white flash?

0:03:58 > 0:04:00What's happening, Mama?

0:04:00 > 0:04:05Mama Doa tells Kito it's perfectly normal.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08It's thunder and lightning.

0:04:10 > 0:04:15Look at the size of the raindrops, Mama.

0:04:15 > 0:04:17They're huge!

0:04:17 > 0:04:20All the animals are getting absolutely soaked.

0:04:24 > 0:04:28Even the giant elephant is getting wet.

0:04:31 > 0:04:36How long will the rain last, Mama? My fur is getting all wet!

0:04:38 > 0:04:41Can we go and find somewhere to keep dry?

0:04:42 > 0:04:46Yuck! So much rain.

0:04:46 > 0:04:51This explains how all the elephants found all that water to drink.

0:04:53 > 0:04:55Mama, wait for me, Mama.

0:04:57 > 0:05:01There aren't many good hiding places around here.

0:05:03 > 0:05:05What about over there?

0:05:06 > 0:05:07No, that's no good.

0:05:12 > 0:05:15Oh! What about here?

0:05:15 > 0:05:18Could we hide in this old tree trunk?

0:05:20 > 0:05:25No. There just isn't anywhere to escape the rain.

0:05:25 > 0:05:29I can't run anywhere when it's this wet and slippy.

0:05:29 > 0:05:33When will all the rain stop? I'd like to run again!

0:05:34 > 0:05:37Kito can't wait for the sun to come back.
