:00:12. > :00:17.Today we're at Longleat Safari Park and I'm privileged to be in
:00:17. > :00:25.distinguished company. Thank you. You know about his intelligence,
:00:25. > :00:33.bright, brainy, superb at solving problems. It is true. And funny. I
:00:33. > :00:41.would look at his face all day. know. These monkeys remind me of
:00:41. > :00:49.you actually. You're not funny! This is Live'n'Deadly. Our convoy
:00:49. > :00:55.is searching all things wile and you're coming withy step of the way.
:00:55. > :01:01.-- all things wild and you're coming with us, every step of the
:01:01. > :01:11.way. Start the sofa on a Saturday morning and the rest of the weekend
:01:11. > :01:15.
:01:15. > :01:19.is up to you. I think we have got it under control. Are we safe?
:01:20. > :01:25.is an action packed start. With monkeys if you stare them in the
:01:25. > :01:30.eye, particularly if you do this. So don't do that. So today we're
:01:30. > :01:36.showing you the best bits from the series. We have had a sensational
:01:36. > :01:42.time and you have sent us in lot of comments. Thank you. One says the
:01:42. > :01:49.episodes are amazing, and all the different animals. And another says
:01:49. > :01:57.I love Live'n'Deadly. Thank you. We have got plenty more awesome coming
:01:57. > :02:03.up, with a few squabbles. We're on safari at Longleat and celebrating
:02:03. > :02:13.the best of Live'n'Deadly. There is some new stuff as we embark on a
:02:13. > :02:37.
:02:37. > :02:42.feeding frenzy with some big predators. And the tigers are here.
:02:42. > :02:46.Hello beautiful. Hello. The tigers are usually solitary animals. To
:02:46. > :02:56.have four like this together. That is the male. Look at the size of
:02:56. > :02:57.
:02:57. > :03:01.him. He is gigantic and to be this close to them is out of this world.
:03:01. > :03:09.I get the sense that these animals are hungry. So I think it is time
:03:09. > :03:14.to provide them with some breakfast. The keepers are going to put bits
:03:14. > :03:19.of meat all over the enclosure and one right here. I have mounted this
:03:19. > :03:24.camera, that will see them really close and they will get stuck into
:03:24. > :03:30.the meat. Tigers are not the only animals that we have had on the
:03:30. > :03:36.series that have big teeth. We have more than our share of super deadly
:03:36. > :03:40.creatures. This series was packed with some of the deadliest
:03:40. > :03:46.predators on the planet. You can hear the crunching as the teeth go
:03:46. > :03:53.through fish skull. Look at the size of it. It is enormous. Some
:03:53. > :04:00.got too close for comfort. Iement being gripped by an -- I'm being
:04:00. > :04:06.gripped by an anteater. Others left us spell bound. Look at that. This
:04:06. > :04:13.is just wonderful. Look at it searching out the perfect place to
:04:13. > :04:23.anchor itself. Look at that doing a complete fly by. Wonderful stuff.
:04:23. > :04:29.They were fearsome. Feisty. Ooh hello. You won't doing that early.
:04:29. > :04:39.And full of talents. It has taken the lid off the jar and we're
:04:39. > :04:45.
:04:45. > :04:52.cheating the fishermen. First time! Here they go. Oh my goodness. That
:04:52. > :04:58.is fantastic. Look how fast they're running. They're just awesome.
:04:58. > :05:05.have got my hand on the... On the wooden screen. The sound of that
:05:05. > :05:10.growl is extraordinary. It seems to reverberate through ground. When
:05:10. > :05:15.they're hunting, how do they find their prey? They will prey and then
:05:15. > :05:19.stalk it. They will stalk it and then ambush. They will have one
:05:19. > :05:27.short explosive chase that they use to make their kill. If it is not
:05:27. > :05:32.over and done with in about 50 metres, they will give up. Nice,
:05:32. > :05:40.nice. Look. Yeah. I reckon he is going for that one on the end. It
:05:40. > :05:45.should be an easy reach for this big fella. Look at how tall he is.
:05:45. > :05:49.They're massive. The paws are enormous. I have seen tiger tracks
:05:49. > :05:53.from the male Tiger that are would cover a dinner plate, they're so
:05:53. > :06:02.big. Look at him wandering off with that meat. He knows he is at the
:06:02. > :06:07.top of the foot chain. Wow! It is running fast. It is going to silt
:06:07. > :06:12.down right in front of us. Look at -- sit down right in front of us.
:06:12. > :06:19.Look at that. It is using the tongue like a rasp and it can use
:06:19. > :06:23.that to get hair off carcasses or to get meat off the bones. That is
:06:23. > :06:30.incredible. Are they eating the bone as well. Yes it steers it
:06:30. > :06:40.round to the side of the mouth, where it has cheek teeth that can
:06:40. > :06:46.
:06:46. > :06:56.crunch through bone and you hear that sound. No. No shut the window.
:06:56. > :06:59.
:06:59. > :07:09.This is getting ready. Wow! That was impressive. That was too close
:07:09. > :07:09.
:07:09. > :07:19.for comfort. I had my hand on the window. Just ready to wind it up.
:07:19. > :07:24.
:07:24. > :07:34.Holy moley! Go on. I can see his claws now. Oh no. Oh dear. You're
:07:34. > :07:42.about to lose your camera. It ain't my camera. You can get it. Yes!
:07:42. > :07:50.Wonderful. That was successful. Brilliant. You saw his claws.
:07:50. > :07:54.know. With teeth like that, you can see why it has a slot on our leader
:07:54. > :08:00.board. We're lucky to get this close to animals and we're seen
:08:00. > :08:10.Steve get close to so many animals. But he fancies himself also as an
:08:10. > :08:25.
:08:26. > :08:31.action man. Oh it's all wet and This year's missions have had an
:08:31. > :08:38.aquatic theme. And it offered a treasure trove of maritime marvels.
:08:38. > :08:44.We spotted seals. I'm trying to get an underwater shot. And we saw
:08:44. > :08:50.greedy gannets. Lack at that! But the real treat was a meeting with a
:08:50. > :08:54.weird fish. This is a sun fish. I have to say it is one of the most
:08:54. > :09:00.peculiar looking fish I have ever seen. But it was beneath the
:09:00. > :09:05.surface where I pushed my skills to the limit. Free diving allowed me
:09:05. > :09:11.to experience life under water as a marine mammal, holing my breath for
:09:11. > :09:18.as long as I could. But there are many dangers, so it is best to
:09:18. > :09:22.start with an expert. So I'm here with Sam Kirby a free dive
:09:22. > :09:28.instructor. We had a calm shelter bay to train safely and the first
:09:28. > :09:34.job is to get to grips with the theory. What you have got to think
:09:34. > :09:39.about is to use as much of your lungs as possible. Sam is showing
:09:39. > :09:46.me thousand relax and reduce my heart rate. It is like meditating
:09:46. > :09:56.and helps the body consume less oxygen. Without all the usual scuba
:09:56. > :09:57.
:09:57. > :10:05.gear, getting ready is easier. Well sort of. I just punched myself in
:10:05. > :10:10.the face! The shock of entering cold water makes it harder to relax.
:10:10. > :10:16.I have a float to help me stay on the surface while I practice face
:10:16. > :10:22.down. Compared to the experts in the natural world, I'm a complete
:10:22. > :10:27.amateur! Fish can breathe under water as they have gill. But
:10:27. > :10:33.mammals can dive under water for incredible lengths of time. Sea
:10:33. > :10:41.otters hold their breath for nearly six minutes. That is 30 seconds.
:10:41. > :10:45.Grey seals for 20 mince. That is one minute. And sperm whales can go
:10:45. > :10:51.without breathing for over an hour. And they make it look effortless.
:10:51. > :10:59.How did I do? Come up. Breathe in. Breathe in. I held my breath for
:10:59. > :11:07.two minutes. I'm pleased with that. It is difficult psychologically,
:11:07. > :11:13.your whole body is just crying out at you to breathe. But we got up to
:11:13. > :11:22.a reasonable time. Now to put it into effect. For this dive we're
:11:22. > :11:29.moving to deeper waters. I have to fight the nerves and keep relaxed.
:11:29. > :11:33.I will be in deep open water and I'm attached to a rope to prevent
:11:33. > :11:41.me getting taken by the current. Remember don't try this without an
:11:41. > :11:46.expert instrubtor who - instructor who has knowledge of the area. One
:11:46. > :11:51.last breath and down I go. I'm attempting a depth equivalent to
:11:51. > :12:01.the height of a six storey building. I'm fighting the urge to breathe
:12:01. > :12:10.
:12:10. > :12:17.and all my senses are screaming at me to get back to the surface.
:12:17. > :12:25.Thanks Sam. A superb experience. But to allow me to spend longer
:12:25. > :12:35.exploring, I kitted up in my scuba gear to get a good look at life on
:12:35. > :12:38.
:12:38. > :12:43.the sea bed. Diver to surface. Wow you can can see the bottom here is
:12:43. > :12:49.just covered with loads of sea plants. What we need to do is
:12:49. > :12:56.forage among nem and see what we can find. -- among them. This is
:12:56. > :13:06.interesting. This shell is a scallop. And it has a small animal
:13:06. > :13:07.
:13:07. > :13:12.inside. It is called a bivalve mollusc. It is protecting irt. But
:13:12. > :13:19.they can actually -- itself, but they can actually swim away and
:13:19. > :13:29.allow, look it is opening up. Look at that. Oh wonderful. Look at
:13:29. > :13:31.
:13:31. > :13:36.that! I love them. They're such great animals and that movement
:13:36. > :13:44.allows her to swim away from predators. Let's see what else we
:13:44. > :13:50.can find. Look at this. People often think of star fish as being
:13:50. > :13:58.things that just lie on the bottom and do nothing. But this star fish
:13:58. > :14:06.is actively chasing and going after the snail. Look at it go. I have
:14:06. > :14:11.never seen a star fish moving so fast. Oh and look at this - a
:14:11. > :14:16.brittle star pull pg itself along the bottom using -- pulling itself
:14:16. > :14:22.along the bottom using its arms. I could watch this stuff all day. We
:14:22. > :14:27.were starting to run out of air, but then there was one final
:14:27. > :14:34.encounter. Wow, that is just wonderful. It is a thorn back ray,
:14:35. > :14:44.one of the most common rays in Britain. Look at it going. Every
:14:45. > :14:46.
:14:46. > :14:50.where you look there are incredible Every time you put your hand down
:14:51. > :14:55.to the sea floor things were scurrying off in every direction. A
:14:55. > :14:59.lot were peculiar curiousities I've never seen before. You wouldn't
:14:59. > :15:04.need to be scuba diving to see some of those things. It wasn't that
:15:04. > :15:08.deep. You could get out there with a snorkel and experience some of
:15:08. > :15:11.those things for yourself. It goes to show, Britain's seas are
:15:11. > :15:16.brilliant. Has anyone got a hot cuppa?
:15:16. > :15:21.Steve didn't have all the fun. I've had some heart-stopping moments on
:15:21. > :15:24.my own adventures. And so have you as you've been trying out new
:15:24. > :15:29.activities up and down the country. More of those thrills and spills
:15:29. > :15:36.later on. Next up, we've more deadly mouths
:15:36. > :15:44.to feed here at Longleat. This is a very new experience for
:15:44. > :15:48.me, standing completely out in the open surrounded by wolves. I think
:15:48. > :15:53.there's about 12 animals in here. Out in front of us, there are a
:15:53. > :15:59.couple of big chunks of meat. You can see them pacing backwards and
:15:59. > :16:05.forwards. Are they quite nervous creatures? Absolutely. They are
:16:05. > :16:11.very cautious. Very in tell gent. Will it take one of them to be
:16:11. > :16:16.brave and then the rest will come in? In all probability. They call
:16:16. > :16:19.that the Alpha male? Absolutely. The one at the top. Just wonderful
:16:19. > :16:24.seeing them all moving together. That's when you see that this is
:16:24. > :16:28.such a pack animal. An animal which is really comfortable together in a
:16:28. > :16:33.group. Work as a team. Yeah, They are checking it out. They like the
:16:33. > :16:37.look of it. This one here strikes me as being quite bold. Look at
:16:37. > :16:42.that, as it's coming towards the meat, you can see the nose is right
:16:42. > :16:48.down to the ground. This is an animal that's really driven by the
:16:48. > :16:53.sense of smell but the eyes are still up looking around making sure
:16:53. > :16:56.there's no danger. First instint is to drag it away from us. Once
:16:56. > :17:02.they've all seen this one here's getting some free good they'll want
:17:02. > :17:06.to get in on the action. They're getting closer and closer. They are.
:17:06. > :17:16.They're definitely building up some courage now. They're such bruteful
:17:16. > :17:17.
:17:17. > :17:23.animals. -- beautiful animals. Go on. Be brave. This is proper wolf
:17:23. > :17:28.feeding. You can see all of them coming in. They are bracing
:17:28. > :17:33.backwards usinging their front feet and tearing chunks of the meat out.
:17:33. > :17:39.They are having a bit of a scrap. This is very common. The more
:17:39. > :17:44.dominant animals make sure they get the first chunk the meat. Will be
:17:44. > :17:48.weaker animals potentially get no food? They will all have something
:17:48. > :17:53.but if they try to get the best bits or food before it is their
:17:53. > :17:57.time they'll get disciplined like that. Wolves are the classic team
:17:57. > :18:00.animal working together in perfect harmonies. They are powerful,
:18:00. > :18:06.efficient, they're beautiful. They are absolutely nothing like a team
:18:06. > :18:10.that we know very well. The Live 'n' Deadly crew! Shall we find out
:18:10. > :18:15.what they thought of the series. See what their favourite bits were.
:18:15. > :18:19.Not sure I want to know. Lots of fun on Live 'n' Deadly. But
:18:19. > :18:25.without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite moment had to be when
:18:25. > :18:30.Steve raced Andy Murray on a couple of camel. Nothing like a bit of
:18:30. > :18:36.crazy animal danger to make your day a bit more exciting. Steve was
:18:36. > :18:45.depen Iainly scared, I think. -- genuinely scared. My favourite part
:18:45. > :18:51.of the series was being in a cave live. That's horrid. Favourite part
:18:51. > :18:56.of the series for me was the skiing. I'm coming straight for you and I
:18:56. > :19:06.am not in control! To be the cameraman skiing down with the guys
:19:06. > :19:07.
:19:08. > :19:14.was just a treat for me. Now, that is the way to make an entrance!
:19:14. > :19:18.Whoa. Her skis, where did she get huskies? We through Steve into the
:19:18. > :19:26.sea and asked the coastguard to come and pick him up in a
:19:26. > :19:31.helicopter. I thought that was pretty cool.
:19:31. > :19:37.An armadillo. It was cute and funny. Look at him. He's just the cuteest
:19:37. > :19:45.thing on Earth. Armadillo. Why's that? It's cute. Like a hedgehog
:19:45. > :19:51.with no spikes. And here he is, the cute three banded aurpl dill owe.
:19:51. > :19:55.We couldn't -- armadillo. We couldn't resist having another look.
:19:55. > :20:00.He's just starting to get that warmth from your hands and starting
:20:00. > :20:03.to unravel. He is absolutely adorable. He's lovely. We weren't
:20:03. > :20:08.only one who is fell he had over heels in love with the armadillo.
:20:08. > :20:13.We had loads of messages, including, blue tiger Princess who thinks the
:20:13. > :20:20.armadillo is really cute. So did Patrick and Conrad. I have to say,
:20:20. > :20:25.this programme is about the deadliest and while is he -- he is
:20:25. > :20:30.incredibly cute does he deserve to be on our deadliest leaderboard?
:20:30. > :20:35.I'm shot sure. I'm not sure. This is one of the many animals which
:20:35. > :20:40.inspired you lot to get arty. In north um bland it provided the
:20:40. > :20:47.inspiration for an animal in shining armour. At Lyme Regis, the
:20:47. > :20:52.buckets and spades you were out as stacks of you got stuck into a
:20:52. > :20:58.prehistoric sculpture. And Nichola Wood carved up and icy surprise in
:20:58. > :21:04.Leeds. Penguin! Loving your creativity. Some of you got arty on
:21:04. > :21:13.us when you came to the Live 'n' Deadly set. Others took your skills
:21:13. > :21:19.to new levels. Amber, you send us a superb sand sculpture. It puts a
:21:19. > :21:24.whole new perspective on every trip to the beach. Don't make a
:21:24. > :21:29.sandcastle, make a deadly creature. More fabulous beasties coming up
:21:29. > :21:34.later in the show as well as hair- raising moments. I was kefrpd when
:21:34. > :21:39.the crew told me it was time to face up to some of my fears. I knew
:21:39. > :21:43.working on Live 'n' Deadly would involve some creepy-crawlies and
:21:43. > :21:51.other beasties. But it was time to get serious. First on the list was
:21:51. > :21:58.spiders. I am a piece of wood. Relax your shoulders. Remember to
:21:58. > :22:03.breathe. OK. It's just finding its way over your hands. Breathe easily.
:22:03. > :22:08.It won't do anything. I'm a lot bigger than it. It won't do me any
:22:08. > :22:15.harm. If I can do this, anyone can. I have to say, Naomi, fear faced.
:22:15. > :22:20.That is brilliant. Take it away. Over time and with a bit of help
:22:20. > :22:25.from Steve, it got easier to deal with bugs and mini-beasts. Good,
:22:25. > :22:33.critters! But there was one creature that I was terrified of,
:22:33. > :22:38.the shark. Just sit down. You'll be more stable. Place it into the
:22:38. > :22:47.water. Where, where? Even though this fish didn't take the bait,
:22:47. > :22:51.getting that close meant I'd conquered my fear. As if pugs and
:22:51. > :23:00.sharks were not enough, Steve would line up a bit of a treat for me.
:23:00. > :23:06.Urgh! It is who's poo at the zoo! You lot seemed to enjoy it too.
:23:06. > :23:11.Each week, he served up all manner of dungy delight. Get stuck in.
:23:11. > :23:16.Right down deep into it. This one should be quite familiar to you.
:23:16. > :23:23.What does it look like? Is there a domestic animal it looks like to
:23:23. > :23:29.you? Rabbit. No,! I've never had a rabbit. That would be a monstrous
:23:29. > :23:36.rabbit. Imagine you were going out at the weekend for a... Horse.
:23:36. > :23:45.Reindeer, donkey. A horse wearing stripy Midge am as? Zebra! Anyone
:23:45. > :23:55.any guesses? Cheat a? Cheat a is much smaller. Someone over there
:23:55. > :23:55.
:23:55. > :24:03.shouted it. Snow leopard. Spot on! Your dessert is there. Is that one
:24:03. > :24:06.poo? No, its it's a rock. Where's The Piano? That there, that's more
:24:06. > :24:14.like a pellet. That's come out of one end and that white the other
:24:14. > :24:21.end. What do you reckon? A bird? Vulture. Yeah! Thank goodness.
:24:22. > :24:28.spot on. You haven't just used the Live 'n' Deadly website to send in
:24:28. > :24:34.your pictures. We've had games this year. In Live 'n' Deadly you have
:24:34. > :24:40.to outrun, outkayak and out slide them too. You can still put your
:24:40. > :24:46.wildlife knowledge to the test in deadly scramble., deadly planet is
:24:46. > :24:51.our new mega game. Guide virtual Steve around the world in search of
:24:51. > :24:55.virtual cameras. You get deadly powers. If you missed any of them,
:24:55. > :25:00.head to our website. You can use them to complete the game and fight
:25:00. > :25:06.to get on to the leaderboard to become the deadliest player around.
:25:06. > :25:11.We've been playing the deadly games ourselves. I like deathly planet
:25:11. > :25:17.with the spectacular scenery. epic. Rpblgts I love deadly dash
:25:17. > :25:22.though I can't get away from the hippo. I'm rubbish at those games.
:25:22. > :25:28.Unbelievably rubbish. But dreadly scramble is a wildlife quiz so I
:25:28. > :25:33.can do all right at that. You lot have been living the dream at the
:25:33. > :25:38.deadly days out. This week is our last Deadly Day Out of the series.
:25:38. > :25:41.We have loved them. We've come along, tried out new activities,
:25:41. > :25:51.met dreadly animals. Thousands of you have turned up to enjoy the fun.

:25:56. > :26:00.Today is no different. Skhraps all : ALL: Yes! Deadly days demand
:26:00. > :26:05.deadly predators. This deadly mantis from South East Asia. How do
:26:05. > :26:12.you think you tell the boys and girls aparted? Is it a different
:26:12. > :26:16.colour? Is if the size Are the girls bigger than the boys? Spot on.
:26:16. > :26:22.The girls are bigger. They have to have the eggs. They are larger than
:26:22. > :26:30.the males. But also, if you count the sections on the abdomens
:26:30. > :26:35.females have six and the males have eight. Spot on. High five! Many
:26:35. > :26:40.species of mantis can fly. When they are on the wing they are
:26:40. > :26:47.vulnerable to being punched by bats. They evade them by using their ears.
:26:47. > :26:51.Where are the ears? On the head. its legs? Underneath. Yes, spot on.
:26:51. > :26:57.Exactly right. The ear is on the underneath of the author axe. It is
:26:57. > :27:03.really, really good at picking up the ultrasonic clicks by bats when
:27:03. > :27:09.they fly. It hears those clicks, followeds its wings and drops on to
:27:09. > :27:14.the forest floor and the batted zooms in and it missing it
:27:14. > :27:20.completely. -- misses it completely. This is vulnerable to predators.
:27:20. > :27:25.How would it frighten away a scaraway bird? Make a noise?
:27:25. > :27:30.rubs its claws together. Does it make itself bigger? That is what it
:27:30. > :27:34.does. They throw their wings back. There are bold eye spots on the
:27:34. > :27:41.wings which makes it look like this is a much bigger animal that it
:27:41. > :27:45.really is. Great answer. Well done. This marvellous mantis is a dead
:27:45. > :27:55.ringer for a dead leaf. He's a beautiful beast. Today, in very
:27:55. > :27:55.
:27:55. > :28:00.good company. That is just brilliant. We've had loads of
:28:00. > :28:04.deadly days out over the series. That was sadly our last one. But,
:28:04. > :28:10.the deadly scenes investigations continue. So, there lr events all

:28:24. > :28:34.can guide you through. Are there any nice handsome photographs of me
:28:34. > :28:38.in there? No! Nice one of me though, look! One of my favourite parts of
:28:38. > :28:44.the show was meeting the dead cuteies we lined up for you. When
:28:44. > :28:50.I'm talking about dead cute I never thought I'd meet a crocodile. The
:28:50. > :28:54.weird and wonderful won me over with their cute factor. Look at you,
:28:54. > :29:04.you're absolute lutely adorable. But even these bunch of sweeties
:29:04. > :29:12.
:29:12. > :29:17.had a deadly side to them. Maybe not that cute then. For me, one of
:29:17. > :29:25.the most exciting things is every week we have someone on who's a
:29:25. > :29:29.hero from the world of adventure, a mountaineer, triathlete, psych EU
:29:29. > :29:36.cyclist, they've done something truly wonderful in the outdoors.
:29:36. > :29:41.They inspire our young people to know anything's possible. It also
:29:41. > :29:44.inspires older viewers it is never too late to try something new.
:29:44. > :29:54.Let's remind ourselves what the legends of the outdoors are all
:29:54. > :29:55.
:29:55. > :31:08.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 73 seconds
:31:08. > :31:14.Steve was impressed with our guests. But he couldn't let them leave
:31:15. > :31:24.without throwing down the gauntlet, going head-to-head with them in our
:31:25. > :31:26.
:31:26. > :31:36.challenges. Competitive? Steve? I would be just spinning round and
:31:36. > :31:42.
:31:42. > :31:52.round. Over the see saw. Look at them going. They're doing so well.
:31:52. > :31:55.
:31:55. > :32:01.Oh Steve! But of all the challenges, one of my favourites was with free
:32:01. > :32:07.style kayaker, James Bebbington. We threw ourself in with a pair of
:32:07. > :32:12.crocks. Three, two, one go! They're off. Steve is going for it. He did
:32:12. > :32:17.well in the challenges last year. Can he do as well this time? Look
:32:17. > :32:27.at James, you can tell he has been in the water so much. He is just
:32:27. > :32:28.
:32:28. > :32:34.floating down. He looks like he is on holiday in Benidorm. N't --
:32:34. > :32:44.13,000 litres of water coming down here every second. Here they come.
:32:44. > :32:46.
:32:46. > :32:51.Go on James. Down the slope. Woo! Hey! Grab the rope, Steve. Grab the
:32:51. > :33:01.rope. I'm afraid our winner is James and he is just floating off
:33:01. > :33:02.
:33:02. > :33:08.into the distance. We have lost James. You're still alive! No
:33:08. > :33:15.crocodile hears -- tears from you, OK? You loved it when in Scotland
:33:15. > :33:21.Steve took on ulttra marathon runner Andy Murray in a camel race.
:33:21. > :33:31.Have you ridden a camel before. have ridden one, but never raced
:33:31. > :33:31.
:33:31. > :33:37.them. Oh! If getting up is anything to go by we're in for a good race.
:33:38. > :33:47.You're under starter's orders. Three, two, are you ready. No that
:33:48. > :33:55.way? Shall we start. Three, two, one let's do it. Off we go. Here we
:33:55. > :34:01.go. Oh my God. This is scary! supposed to look elegant. Talk
:34:01. > :34:09.about going up the inside straight. More like the inside wobbly. Steve
:34:09. > :34:19.is sporting, his camouflage trousers and they're on the way
:34:19. > :34:26.
:34:26. > :34:31.back A tricky manoeuvre. They are going at some pace. Have -- he
:34:31. > :34:37.pipped him at the post. They're out of breath. Look at this one.
:34:37. > :34:41.Steve's poor camel is sad. Look at his long face. That race was
:34:41. > :34:45.hilarious. I loved all the races, but that was my favourite. It was
:34:46. > :34:51.so much faster than I was expecting and then it seemed like a long way
:34:51. > :34:57.down. It was quite scary. You have five challenges and lost five. You
:34:57. > :35:04.have one more against a superfine athlete. I wonder who that can be.
:35:04. > :35:09.We worked Steve back. And you sent in some tough question and then we
:35:09. > :35:15.threw in some physical challenges. As if it isn't enough that I have
:35:15. > :35:25.to answer questions on the natural world, I was squirted in snow and
:35:25. > :35:29.water. And Beat Backshall is my favourite part of show. Some of the
:35:29. > :35:35.answers right. What are you talking about? I got, in fact I got all of
:35:35. > :35:41.the... Just play the tape. Beat Backshall was the chance to give
:35:41. > :35:48.Steve's brain a work out and he took it well. Under pressure.
:35:48. > :35:51.is this distracting. Upside down and hanging by a thread. Even
:35:51. > :35:58.hanging upside down he can deliver the fact. He still managed to
:35:58. > :36:03.answer your questions. I I have to admit I don't know. Well most of
:36:03. > :36:08.them. But his quick thinking got him out of trouble and you all
:36:08. > :36:15.enjoyed cheering him on. Lots of you got in touch to say how much
:36:15. > :36:22.you enjoyed our final live show in Leeds when Steve took a very cold
:36:22. > :36:28.bath. I feel your pain. We're going to get on with this. First question
:36:28. > :36:38.is from Olive, what owl has the largest wing span? The largest wing
:36:38. > :36:47.
:36:47. > :36:55.span? It is going to be a you racian -- ure Asian eagle owl.
:36:55. > :37:03.done. I don't know how he does it. Which bird has the biggest beak?
:37:03. > :37:09.That it one of the pelicans. The Southern pelican. And what is the
:37:09. > :37:16.world's longest living caterpillar and how does it survive the winter.
:37:16. > :37:26.The woolly bird. And one more from Nelson, what do gir afters clean
:37:26. > :37:26.
:37:26. > :37:32.their ears with? Their tongue. when the temperature tumbles, Steve
:37:32. > :37:42.still scores. Freeze a jolly good fellow! Steve's been made a little
:37:42. > :37:42.
:37:42. > :37:51.uncomfortable, but I have been put to the test live on air. Hadid you
:37:51. > :38:01.learn boys? Hold on! And on my own adventures I wanted to get into the
:38:01. > :38:07.Live'n'Deadly spirit. So I went into the darkness. Took on some
:38:07. > :38:17.rapids of Olympic magnitude. Pulled myself up rocky crags. And took to
:38:17. > :38:29.
:38:29. > :38:39.the skies. Exhilarating stuff and sometimes a bit of a scream. Argh!
:38:39. > :38:46.
:38:46. > :38:56.Woo! Oh! In one of my favourite adventures, I took to the sky to
:38:56. > :38:59.
:38:59. > :39:09.fly like a kite. Wish me luck. Here we go. Run, run, run. Woo! Oh my
:39:09. > :39:15.
:39:15. > :39:19.goodness! Oh wow! This is the most phenomenal thing I have ever done.
:39:20. > :39:29.But in my quest to find out what it was like to cut through the air,
:39:30. > :39:47.
:39:47. > :39:55.extreme measures were taken. This Woo! This really is a bird's eye
:39:55. > :40:00.view. This is phenomenal! Wow! I do just feel like a bird. It is
:40:00. > :40:10.incredible to think that hobby is able to travel at the speed of this
:40:10. > :40:11.
:40:11. > :40:21.plane, around 1 hundredmph. I -- 1 hundredmph. I don't know how a
:40:21. > :40:26.
:40:26. > :40:36.hobby can see a dragon fly and then catch it. The hobby is so amazing.
:40:36. > :40:49.
:40:49. > :40:57.Argh! Argh! I have a new found respect for the hobby. I can't
:40:57. > :41:01.believe I just did that! That was crazy! Hobbies are crazy. In each
:41:01. > :41:06.of my challenges I was trying to find out what it was like to be a
:41:06. > :41:11.deadly animal and a gannet sleepover was my most memorable
:41:11. > :41:21.experience. You're joking. That is right, I had to sleep on the side
:41:21. > :41:28.
:41:28. > :41:35.of a cliff. No! Ready to go? Yes. Happy as you can be. On the side of
:41:35. > :41:45.the cliff. Steve's going to be laughing at me. Tiny thin bed.
:41:45. > :41:47.
:41:47. > :41:53.going. She's sat. This is crazy. But very exciting. This I not
:41:53. > :42:01.something you do every day. But it is something a young gannet will do
:42:01. > :42:06.every day. After the egg hatches, the chick stays perched on cliffs
:42:06. > :42:10.for 90 days. Eventually it gets big enough to launch itself off the
:42:10. > :42:14.cliff forivities first ever flight. So the crew have decided that I
:42:14. > :42:19.have go t to lack after my own eggs. This is the challenge, I have got
:42:19. > :42:26.to look after them. They can't just stay in the bag. I will have them
:42:26. > :42:31.right next to me and be like a gannet. And protect the eggs. That
:42:31. > :42:41.is the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks. Hopefully that will
:42:41. > :42:57.
:42:57. > :43:02.lull us into a nice peaceful sleep. Good morning everyone. 5 o'clock. I
:43:02. > :43:07.have just woken up. I feel fresh as a dazey. I did actually get some
:43:07. > :43:15.sleep. But I want to show you what I'm waking up to. Excuse my
:43:15. > :43:22.camerawork. Look at that. It is peaceful. And there is a gannet
:43:22. > :43:32.soars around. It is just the most... Wonderful place I think I could
:43:32. > :43:33.
:43:33. > :43:43.ever wake up. And the eggs are still here! I have really enjoyed
:43:43. > :43:43.
:43:43. > :43:48.this experience. But I can't explain how much it's been special.
:43:49. > :43:53.Welfare play to her. She is fearless. I enjoyed that. But the
:43:53. > :44:03.fun isn't over yet. Why is that? Because the crew have set us a
:44:03. > :44:22.
:44:22. > :44:27.challenge and you know? I have been Urgh. Argh.
:44:28. > :44:33.Grr. And you say I'm competitive? I'm not confident about. This we
:44:33. > :44:38.each have to get into a zorb. That's a gorilla. Rpblgts get into
:44:38. > :44:46.it, race it around those blocks. Over the roundabout, up on to the
:44:46. > :44:56.ramp. First one back will be the winner. Too easy. Let's do it.
:44:56. > :45:17.
:45:17. > :45:27.I'm in. Argh. Woo! No, no! winning. I'm going to win! No,
:45:27. > :45:38.
:45:38. > :45:46.what's going on? Not fair! KLAXON BLAERS Did I win? It's a travesty!
:45:46. > :45:55.No, way! Yes, I did it. I demand a steward's inquiry. With a little
:45:55. > :46:01.bit of cheating, feels good to beat back Shaw. We've met a whole load
:46:01. > :46:07.of deadlies who fought it out to be on our top ten deadliest. They've
:46:07. > :46:11.been awesome. Here's a reminder of the some of the favourites.
:46:11. > :46:17.opportunist particular water monitor. Next up, putting the fear
:46:17. > :46:25.into fish and the master of in- flight meals, sea eagle.
:46:25. > :46:31.predator on the African plaipbsz and King of big cats, it's the lion.
:46:31. > :46:36.The goshawk is an airborne Ninja. This oddball from the Americas,
:46:36. > :46:40.he's the termite terminator, the armadillo. The Siberian Tiger.
:46:40. > :46:50.Powerful kill Erekat and the largest moggy on the planet. --
:46:50. > :46:53.
:46:53. > :47:00.kill Erekat. - killer cat. The sand tiger shark, not Naomi's favourite.
:47:00. > :47:05.And that total porker, the snake with an insatiable appetite, the
:47:05. > :47:10.reticulateed python.Nd And last but not least, that intellectual bird
:47:10. > :47:19.the raven. The memories. So many brilliant beasts. You've been
:47:19. > :47:26.having your say who should right up at the top. Scot agrees saying the
:47:26. > :47:34.it has monster teeth, claws and deadly whipping tail. Katie thinks
:47:34. > :47:38.it should be the lion. Lots of you like the lion. But many said it was
:47:38. > :47:48.the tiger. It is amazingly coloured to suit its environment and it is
:47:48. > :47:49.
:47:49. > :47:54.almost ex tint. Steve, funnily enough, the most popular animal was
:47:54. > :47:58.the armadillo. George thinks it is because of its armour plating and
:47:58. > :48:04.claws. It was too close to deeyed. Now, ear going to have to decide
:48:04. > :48:09.for ourselves. After our very close encounter today, I would give it to
:48:09. > :48:14.the Siberian Tiger. I'm afraid of the shark biI think the tiger.
:48:14. > :48:17.Personally, seeing the water monitor lizard snapping that fish
:48:17. > :48:21.out of my hand that was extraordinary, awesome. It is
:48:21. > :48:25.really important people know about the deadly animals we have right
:48:25. > :48:32.near here in the UK. We have animals which can rival aplace in
:48:32. > :48:36.the UK. We've the goshawk. I'm torn but seeing the goshawk coming
:48:36. > :48:42.crashing through that tiny hole at high-speed was out of this world.
:48:42. > :48:45.It was. A decision. Glorious goshawk is at number one. So the
:48:45. > :48:55.goshawk is the star of the series. But there were others which were
:48:55. > :48:55.
:48:55. > :48:59.not so well behaved. This, this is Iggy. It is a grippy iguana. Birds
:48:59. > :49:06.that missed their could you. Where are you off to? No, down here. He's
:49:06. > :49:11.going to sit up there now! Animals who hadn't read the script.
:49:11. > :49:16.can't go that way. Some of whom took a shine to sheaf more than
:49:16. > :49:20.others. He's licking my ear! I'm not sure that's a good idea.
:49:20. > :49:26.Actually, that beak is way to strong for these gloves. No,
:49:26. > :49:33.nothing in my hands. Step away from the television presenter. Get back.
:49:33. > :49:39.That's better m Up and down the country there are loads of you
:49:39. > :49:44.going out and try new activities. Live 'n' Deadly is about inspiring
:49:44. > :49:49.you to try great new things. Every week, I've set you lot a mu mission.
:49:49. > :49:53.-- new mission. Here's some of the best bits. You all did brilliantly.
:49:53. > :50:01.Up and down the country, loads of you tackled new skills and got to
:50:01. > :50:11.grips with Steve's missions. proved the Live 'n' Deadly spirit
:50:11. > :50:22.
:50:23. > :50:28.One group of you in particular proved anyone can get out and have
:50:28. > :50:33.a go. We caught up with them in the Lake District. With its lush green
:50:33. > :50:38.countryside and rugged landscape, it's the perfect place for a big
:50:38. > :50:48.adventure. To complete this week's task, I'll need a team who are not
:50:48. > :50:49.
:50:49. > :50:59.afraid of a challenge. So, I've tracked down the perfect candidates.
:50:59. > :51:01.
:51:01. > :51:09.My name is Thomas. I'm ten years old. I'm Tamara. I'm 15 years old.
:51:09. > :51:19.I'm Sophie. I'm seven years old. I'm Toby. I'm 14 years old.
:51:19. > :51:19.
:51:19. > :51:29.name's Davy. I'm Hugo. I'm eight years old. ALL: We love the big out
:51:29. > :51:30.
:51:30. > :51:36.doors. Instructor Rex is on board and pripbgsa message to the team.
:51:36. > :51:40.Come on, guys. We have a mission from Steve. I know you lot all love
:51:40. > :51:47.honking out to the and like a bit of an adventure in the great Ute
:51:47. > :51:50.doors. This week, I've lined up the perfect challenge. The bint rit
:51:50. > :51:53.trust will offer you a serious challenge with the perfect amount
:51:53. > :51:58.of team work and support to get through it. Your mission starts
:51:58. > :52:01.with indoor training. This afternoon, you'll abseil down a 25
:52:01. > :52:09.metres quarry. So, I hope none of you are scared of heights. It's
:52:09. > :52:19.time to get out there and head over the edge. Wow! Awesome. Fantastic.
:52:19. > :52:20.
:52:20. > :52:24.Shall we start? Yes, please. Let's Welcome to our indoor climbing wall.
:52:25. > :52:30.In a minute, we'll practice abseiling ready for this afternoon.
:52:30. > :52:34.I'm giving the guys a chance to get used to the assent indoors. First,
:52:34. > :52:37.they need to kit up with all the essential safety gear before
:52:37. > :52:41.testing out their rope skills on the first part of the challenge.
:52:41. > :52:49.There are mixed feelings about who to expect. I'm really looking
:52:49. > :52:59.forward to this. Well, I might be a bit nervous. Scared. With the, the
:52:59. > :53:07.
:53:07. > :53:12.first bit, leaning backwards and After a successful practice session,
:53:12. > :53:16.thoughts are turning to the challenge ahead. It will be fun.
:53:16. > :53:21.I'm really excited about going abseiling in this quarry. I thought
:53:21. > :53:30.this was scary. If it is going to be twice as high and more steep, I
:53:30. > :53:36.think I'm going to fall down straight away. I really am excited.
:53:36. > :53:41.I think we're ready for the quarry, don't you? Yes. Let's go then.
:53:41. > :53:48.Magic. But getting to the top of the quarry is a mission in itself.
:53:48. > :53:54.A big trudge upwards through muddy terrain means a long way down. So,
:53:54. > :53:58.here we are at the top of the quarry. It's a little bit different
:53:58. > :54:05.to what we did this morning. A little bit bigger. As we're outside,
:54:05. > :54:10.it's a little bit damper. Who would like to go first? Me! Excellent!
:54:10. > :54:15.This is where they really need to test their nerves. It's so much
:54:15. > :54:25.higher than the one we did indoors. The time has come to head over the
:54:25. > :54:43.
:54:43. > :54:53.I've never climbed down anything quite this steep. This is really
:54:53. > :55:00.
