0:00:32 > 0:00:34Pretty scary.

0:00:34 > 0:00:36Will the day be filled with chaos...?

0:00:36 > 0:00:38I feel like I'm going to cry now.

0:00:49 > 0:00:51Check this out!

0:00:51 > 0:00:52CHEERING

0:00:52 > 0:00:56But could their surprises be too much for Mum and Dad.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59- You think you know your children. - Yeah.- But actually, maybe we don't.

0:00:59 > 0:01:01Maybe we don't.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04Will the wedding get a frosty reception?

0:01:04 > 0:01:05Or is it set to sizzle?

0:01:05 > 0:01:09We're about to find out, cos we're Marrying Mum And Dad.

0:01:33 > 0:01:36Welcome to Marrying Mum And Dad, where kids take charge of one

0:01:36 > 0:01:39of the most important days of their parents' lives -

0:01:39 > 0:01:40their wedding.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42That's right. They're responsible for the whole thing.

0:01:42 > 0:01:46Mum and Dad won't know a thing about the plans until the big day.

0:01:46 > 0:01:48The kids are in charge, but they're not completely alone.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50We're here to...help.

0:01:52 > 0:01:56Today we're in Bristol to set two wedding planners loose

0:01:56 > 0:01:57on Mum and Dad's big day.

0:01:59 > 0:02:02Meet sisters Katya and Jazzy.

0:02:02 > 0:02:04Hi. My name's Katya, and I like music.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08Hi. I'm Jazzy, and I like swimming.

0:02:09 > 0:02:12And this is the rest of the family - little sister Eva,

0:02:12 > 0:02:17the girl's dad Craig and Becky, Eva and Jazzy's mum.

0:02:18 > 0:02:22Mum and Dad - they're really nice and caring.

0:02:22 > 0:02:26And if we...if we, em, ever want to do something,

0:02:26 > 0:02:28then they would say yes to us.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31They sound great. How about the girls?

0:02:31 > 0:02:34'Both the girls are good organisers

0:02:34 > 0:02:36'and they're both quite creative as well.

0:02:36 > 0:02:39But they can be really left field

0:02:39 > 0:02:42and think up something that you wouldn't expect.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44Craig and Becky have been together since meeting

0:02:44 > 0:02:46when Katya was six years old.

0:02:46 > 0:02:51Since then the family has grown, first with Jazzy and then Eva.

0:02:51 > 0:02:53So what's stopped them getting married?

0:02:53 > 0:02:56They've been talking about it for quite a long time,

0:02:56 > 0:02:58but it never seems to happen.

0:02:58 > 0:03:03- Would you take this brontosaurus to be your wedded husband?- I will.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05'We've been together for nine years.'

0:03:05 > 0:03:07It's something that we always planned to do,

0:03:07 > 0:03:10but when you've got a family it doesn't always happen.

0:03:10 > 0:03:13Mum and Dad might just wish they'd got around to getting married

0:03:13 > 0:03:15sooner, cos now the girls are taking charge,

0:03:15 > 0:03:18and they aren't exactly fans of a traditional wedding.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21Parents who organise weddings, I think

0:03:21 > 0:03:24their weddings are a bit boring,

0:03:24 > 0:03:29because all there are are really speeches

0:03:29 > 0:03:31and walking down the aisle, things like that,

0:03:31 > 0:03:33and it's really boring.

0:03:33 > 0:03:34Ours will be...

0:03:34 > 0:03:36BOTH: Much more fun.

0:03:38 > 0:03:40Mum and Dad are going to be married in a few weeks

0:03:40 > 0:03:43and so far nothing is organised.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46That means Katya and Jazzy have got to organise the theme,

0:03:46 > 0:03:50the venue, the entertainment, the outfits the cake, the list goes on.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52Oh, stop it. You're starting to freak me out.

0:03:54 > 0:03:56There's not much time until the big day,

0:03:56 > 0:04:01so we need Mum and Dad to agree to Katya and Jazzy taking control.

0:04:01 > 0:04:02And fast.

0:04:02 > 0:04:07Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to stir things up a bit.

0:04:07 > 0:04:10Do you, Mum, allow your children to completely

0:04:10 > 0:04:13and utterly organise a wedding day you will never forget?

0:04:13 > 0:04:14I do.

0:04:14 > 0:04:19And do you, Dad, accept you'll have absolutely no say in what goes on?

0:04:19 > 0:04:20I accept.

0:04:20 > 0:04:24Well, then, with the joining of hands, I now pronounce you,

0:04:24 > 0:04:28Katya and Jazzy, 100% officially in charge.

0:04:30 > 0:04:31CHEERING

0:04:32 > 0:04:35Feeling good about this?

0:04:35 > 0:04:36- HIGH PITCHED:- Yeah.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41With Katya and Jazzy now in charge, and Mum and Dad out of the way in

0:04:41 > 0:04:45another room, it's time to find out the girls' big idea for the wedding.

0:04:46 > 0:04:47First things first, you need to tell us

0:04:47 > 0:04:50what theme have you decided for Mum and Dad's wedding?

0:04:50 > 0:04:51Cos our Dad's from Jamaica,

0:04:51 > 0:04:55we wanted to do a Caribbean carnival idea.

0:04:55 > 0:04:59So basically loads of dancing, excitement, everybody's happy.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02- Just a big party. - Oh, that sounds wicked!

0:05:02 > 0:05:04That's like the ultimate celebration.

0:05:04 > 0:05:05Yeah, that's just what we need,

0:05:05 > 0:05:07cos look at the brizzle and the drizzle today.

0:05:07 > 0:05:08Yeah, it's a bit grim, isn't it?

0:05:08 > 0:05:12- Yeah, bring on the sunshine. - Where did you get those from?

0:05:12 > 0:05:14I always have these.

0:05:14 > 0:05:15That's our theme sorted.

0:05:15 > 0:05:19Mum and Dad's big day is set to sizzle with a Caribbean carnival.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25Caribbean carnivals can last for days.

0:05:25 > 0:05:28They first came about over 100 years ago

0:05:28 > 0:05:30as a celebration for freed slaves.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33But no carnival simply means party time!

0:05:35 > 0:05:37With costumes, dance routines and music,

0:05:37 > 0:05:39it can take a year to plan one of these parties,

0:05:39 > 0:05:41but Katya and Jazzy have just a few weeks

0:05:41 > 0:05:44to get their carnival wedding together.

0:05:45 > 0:05:47To help kick-start the girls' plans,

0:05:47 > 0:05:49we've come to a Caribbean market stall,

0:05:49 > 0:05:53and I've arranged a little surprise that should inspire their ideas.

0:05:53 > 0:05:56We have got someone here who can first-hand tell you

0:05:56 > 0:05:59- all about the Caribbean.- Hi guys.

0:05:59 > 0:06:01I know you are massive fans of The Dumping Ground,

0:06:01 > 0:06:04so we've got Kay Purcell here.

0:06:04 > 0:06:06Kay Purcell plays Jamaican care worker

0:06:06 > 0:06:10Gina Conway in CBBC's The Dumping Ground.

0:06:11 > 0:06:13Thursday, I know.

0:06:14 > 0:06:19'Just like her character Gina, Kay knows about all things Caribbean.

0:06:19 > 0:06:21'The girls already have some ideas for the wedding

0:06:21 > 0:06:23'and want to know if they're on the right lines for

0:06:23 > 0:06:26'Mum and Dad's totally tropical big day.

0:06:26 > 0:06:28What's in your book?

0:06:28 > 0:06:32- Well, for the layout, we were thinking of tropical flowers.- Yes.

0:06:32 > 0:06:35And making sure like everything's really colourful.

0:06:35 > 0:06:38What about where we're going to have it? Cos it's a bit cold.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41- It's not very tropical, is it? - Probably indoors.

0:06:41 > 0:06:46- That's a good idea.- Make indoors seem as much like...- As outdoors.

0:06:46 > 0:06:51Yeah, like outdoors, yeah. And for the entertainment, calypso music.

0:06:51 > 0:06:53- Yeah.- A carnival procession.

0:06:53 > 0:06:56Oh, yes. Oh, that's good.

0:06:56 > 0:06:58- They're usually on big floats, aren't they?- Yeah.

0:06:58 > 0:07:01- How are we going to do that?- Is that how you want them to come in?

0:07:01 > 0:07:05- Yeah, on a float.- You want them to get to the wedding...- On a float.

0:07:06 > 0:07:09KAY LAUGHS Right.

0:07:09 > 0:07:13Arriving on a carnival float. Sound good, Mum?

0:07:13 > 0:07:17I think I'd like to arrive in a vintage car or something like that.

0:07:17 > 0:07:22That'd be nice. Yeah, something quite normal.

0:07:22 > 0:07:25'Something normal?! No chance.

0:07:25 > 0:07:27'Inspired by Kay's Caribbean carnival knowledge,

0:07:27 > 0:07:32'a normal wedding is the last thing on Katya and Jazzy's mind.'

0:07:32 > 0:07:34It's going to be like we're on holiday, this wedding.

0:07:34 > 0:07:37Enjoy and party.

0:07:37 > 0:07:38KAY LAUGHS

0:07:40 > 0:07:44'No Caribbean carnival would be complete without dancing.

0:07:44 > 0:07:46'And with the girls needing wedding entertainment,

0:07:46 > 0:07:49'that's exactly what we've come to check out at a dance studio.'

0:07:51 > 0:07:53Woo!

0:07:53 > 0:07:55'Kenickie is an acrobat who specialises

0:07:55 > 0:07:57'in traditional Caribbean dancing.'

0:08:01 > 0:08:03'He can even do a mean limbo.

0:08:03 > 0:08:06'One of the Caribbean's best known dances.'

0:08:06 > 0:08:09I think it goes without saying - don't try this at home.

0:08:09 > 0:08:12'With limbo, the idea is to get under the lowest bar you can

0:08:12 > 0:08:15'without touching either the stick above or the floor below.

0:08:15 > 0:08:18'If we can organise this for the big day, we might just have the

0:08:18 > 0:08:20'perfect entertainment for our Caribbean carnival.'

0:08:20 > 0:08:23CHEERING

0:08:23 > 0:08:25- What did you think of that? - It was amazing.

0:08:25 > 0:08:28So is that the sort of thing you'd like to see at the wedding?

0:08:28 > 0:08:29- BOTH:- Yeah.

0:08:29 > 0:08:30Who would you like to see doing this?

0:08:30 > 0:08:34- Probably Dad.- Yeah, excellent.

0:08:34 > 0:08:36- How do you think he'll be at it? Is he a flexible guy?- BOTH:- No.

0:08:36 > 0:08:39No, good. OK, well, that's good. We can all have a laugh at his expense.

0:08:39 > 0:08:40Yep.

0:08:42 > 0:08:44'Dad might be our star dancer at the wedding,

0:08:44 > 0:08:46'but there's no way the girls are going to miss out on the fun.'

0:08:46 > 0:08:48OK, go like this.

0:08:48 > 0:08:52Your legs are flexed, and then you go under the bar, like this.

0:08:52 > 0:08:54Under the bar.

0:08:54 > 0:08:55Jazzy! Jazzy!

0:08:55 > 0:08:57Yeah!

0:08:59 > 0:09:00Limbo a-go-go.

0:09:03 > 0:09:06You've got it! You've totally got it. You've totally got it.

0:09:07 > 0:09:09Watch and learn, girls, watch and learn.

0:09:13 > 0:09:14GIRLS LAUGH

0:09:16 > 0:09:21It looks like some of us might need a bit more practice before the big day.

0:09:21 > 0:09:25'But as Katya and Jazzy are limbo naturals, the girls seem sold.'

0:09:25 > 0:09:27- So are we happy with this entertainment?- BOTH:- Yeah.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30Brilliant. It's limbo a-go-go.

0:09:30 > 0:09:31With the wedding entertainment planned,

0:09:31 > 0:09:33the girls are off to a great start.

0:09:33 > 0:09:34Time to move on.

0:09:37 > 0:09:40So, girls, you have come up with this fantastic carnival theme.

0:09:40 > 0:09:45I would love to be able to take you to Trinidad or to Jamaica,

0:09:45 > 0:09:47but never fear, we have gone one better.

0:09:47 > 0:09:51We have brought the carnival here to this Bristol community centre

0:09:51 > 0:09:52just for you.

0:09:52 > 0:09:54Come and check it out.

0:09:55 > 0:09:57Look at me.

0:09:57 > 0:09:59Carnival!

0:09:59 > 0:10:01I'm the human peacock.

0:10:01 > 0:10:03THEY LAUGH

0:10:03 > 0:10:08'A Caribbean carnival is all about the costumes. The bigger, the better.

0:10:08 > 0:10:10'So we've brought Katya and Jazzy to find something

0:10:10 > 0:10:14'that Mum and Dad can wear to lead their very own Carnival parade.'

0:10:14 > 0:10:17Watch out. SHE SCREAMS

0:10:17 > 0:10:18Oh, lovely.

0:10:20 > 0:10:22- What do you think of that, Jazzy? - I think it's quite nice.

0:10:22 > 0:10:24'The girls love the carnival costumes.

0:10:24 > 0:10:26'But when it comes to wedding outfits

0:10:26 > 0:10:29'what would Mum and Dad most like to avoid?'

0:10:29 > 0:10:34I think, for me, maybe dressing up in some sort of a ridiculous outfit.

0:10:35 > 0:10:38'Guess what, Dad... You won't have much choice.

0:10:38 > 0:10:40'The carnival costumes are the first stage

0:10:40 > 0:10:42'of the outfits for the big day.

0:10:42 > 0:10:44'And the parade takes care of Mum and Dad's transport.'

0:10:46 > 0:10:48How do you feel about that?

0:10:48 > 0:10:51'Sounds good, Ed, but we'll have to find a very quiet road for that

0:10:51 > 0:10:53'to happen, and hope there's no rain.'

0:10:53 > 0:10:57Which one of these would you choose for your mum then?

0:10:57 > 0:11:00- Probably this one.- That one.- Yeah. - And what about your dad?

0:11:00 > 0:11:03- Will I take this one?- For Dad...

0:11:03 > 0:11:05Yeah, I think that one will look nice.

0:11:07 > 0:11:08'With outfits like those,

0:11:08 > 0:11:10'it'll be hard to miss Mum and Dad on their big day.

0:11:10 > 0:11:13'And with the girls designing carnival headdresses to

0:11:13 > 0:11:16'top off the look, Katya and Jazzy seem set to really bring

0:11:16 > 0:11:18'the colour to our totally tropical wedding.'

0:11:20 > 0:11:22What do you think they're going to think when you present them

0:11:22 > 0:11:24with their carnival procession?

0:11:24 > 0:11:27I think they... They're going to like it.

0:11:27 > 0:11:32- They're going to be surprised.- Yeah, but they're going to be shocked.

0:11:32 > 0:11:34Back at home, the girls switch their attention to finding the right

0:11:34 > 0:11:38clothes for Mum and Dad to wear under their carnival outfits.

0:11:38 > 0:11:41For Mum Becky's dress, they're keeping things traditional.

0:11:41 > 0:11:45Her carnival costume should provide all the colour needed.

0:11:45 > 0:11:46Do you like this one?

0:11:46 > 0:11:50I really like it because it's not, like, really tight,

0:11:50 > 0:11:53but it's not, like, really big.

0:11:53 > 0:11:54Yeah.

0:11:54 > 0:11:58But for Dad, they want to go pure carnival and keep things bright.

0:11:58 > 0:12:02- We're looking for different coloured suits.- Not black.- Not black.

0:12:02 > 0:12:05Definitely not black. I reckon this kind of thing would be nice.

0:12:07 > 0:12:09Nice. We'll make sure the guests bring their sunglasses

0:12:09 > 0:12:11for that orange suit.

0:12:12 > 0:12:13That's outfits done.

0:12:13 > 0:12:16And with Mum and Dad travelling to the wedding by carnival parade,

0:12:16 > 0:12:19that's also transport taken care of.

0:12:22 > 0:12:24'Katya and Jazzy are halfway through their plans

0:12:24 > 0:12:26'for Mum and Dad's big day.

0:12:26 > 0:12:30'So far they've decided on holding a Caribbean carnival themed wedding.'

0:12:30 > 0:12:33'They've found some amazing outfits for the happy couple to wear,

0:12:33 > 0:12:36'and they've even booked an acrobatic dancer

0:12:36 > 0:12:38'to entertain the guests.'

0:12:38 > 0:12:40But with all this secret activity going on,

0:12:40 > 0:12:43Dad is starting to get a little bit twitchy.

0:12:43 > 0:12:47My dad has been acting very weird,

0:12:47 > 0:12:51because whenever he gets a bit nervous,

0:12:51 > 0:12:55he goes outside and he sweeps the back garden.

0:12:55 > 0:12:58- MUM:- Are you getting nervous about anything?- Why should I be?

0:12:58 > 0:12:59SHE LAUGHS

0:12:59 > 0:13:02Get the dustpan and broom out and start sweeping up. That's normal.

0:13:04 > 0:13:06Well, at least the family will have a nice clean home.

0:13:11 > 0:13:12For Mum and Dad's carnival cake,

0:13:12 > 0:13:15Katya and Jazzy want to capture the taste of the Caribbean.

0:13:15 > 0:13:18So the girls have come to meet chef Hasan,

0:13:18 > 0:13:20an expert in Caribbean cooking,

0:13:20 > 0:13:23who has a selection of tropical classics that they can test.

0:13:23 > 0:13:26- So you can see the colours in there. - Oh, wow!

0:13:26 > 0:13:29With this one, you can play around with it.

0:13:29 > 0:13:33- It's down to exactly what you would like.- Mm!

0:13:33 > 0:13:35The next one here,

0:13:35 > 0:13:39- this is our mango sponge.- Mm!

0:13:39 > 0:13:42You can see the sunshine, you smell, you know,

0:13:42 > 0:13:44that tropical flavour of the mango.

0:13:44 > 0:13:46Sunshine on a plate, isn't it?

0:13:46 > 0:13:48It's really nice.

0:13:49 > 0:13:53This is our Caribbean fruitcake.

0:13:54 > 0:13:57- Yes?- Is this your favourite?

0:13:58 > 0:14:00'The girls already have a cake design in mind

0:14:00 > 0:14:03'and with taste test done, they share their own ideas with

0:14:03 > 0:14:07'Chef Hasan for a unique three-tiered wedding cake,

0:14:07 > 0:14:08'with a Caribbean twist.'

0:14:08 > 0:14:14For the middle, we though maybe some blue icing for sea.

0:14:14 > 0:14:17And then the top one would be like a sunset.

0:14:17 > 0:14:20So like maybe this one.

0:14:20 > 0:14:24- So you want all of these three cakes, ideally, would you?- Yeah.- I reckon.

0:14:24 > 0:14:27- Especially the mango one, it looks like sand.- That sounds really nice.

0:14:27 > 0:14:32It brings together the Caribbean - the sand, the sea, and the sun.

0:14:32 > 0:14:34- I'm seeing it, I'm visioning it.- Yeah.

0:14:34 > 0:14:37- It looks amazing.- I am too. It's going to look good.

0:14:38 > 0:14:41'The girls have served up a great idea for Mum and Dad's cake,

0:14:41 > 0:14:45'but now Chef Hasan wants to give Katya and Jazzy the chance to

0:14:45 > 0:14:48'customise their recipe by visiting a Caribbean store.'

0:14:49 > 0:14:53- Almond, vanilla, lemon, orange. - Banana.

0:14:53 > 0:14:57- I think coconut would be good. - Coconut?- Yeah.- Good choice.

0:14:57 > 0:14:59You can use them in the marble cake,

0:14:59 > 0:15:03so we have each of the different colours with one of those flavours.

0:15:03 > 0:15:05- Yeah.- Yes.- That'd be good.

0:15:05 > 0:15:07'A special cake requires special ingredients,

0:15:07 > 0:15:10'so the girls have picked out some flavours for Chef Hasan to

0:15:10 > 0:15:14'make their sun, sea and sand recipe a one-off.'

0:15:14 > 0:15:16I will have a play around and I'm going to make sure I'll get

0:15:16 > 0:15:18that right for you guys.

0:15:18 > 0:15:20'With the girls' cake well on the way to being sorted,

0:15:20 > 0:15:23'it's another part of their plans ticked off.

0:15:23 > 0:15:24'Over to you, Ed.'

0:15:28 > 0:15:30Perhaps the hardest challenge for this wedding

0:15:30 > 0:15:33is locating the perfect venue to host it.

0:15:33 > 0:15:36A Caribbean carnival is sunny, big and noisy.

0:15:36 > 0:15:38It's not easy finding a place to accommodate all that

0:15:38 > 0:15:41here in the wet and windy UK.

0:15:43 > 0:15:46Things are looking up though, because we found this place.

0:15:46 > 0:15:48First of all, it's got the nice big private drive

0:15:48 > 0:15:51'Mum and Dad need to lead our carnival procession along,

0:15:51 > 0:15:54'and secondly, when the happy couple step inside, they'll find

0:15:54 > 0:15:58'that not only does it feel tropical, it also looks amazing.'

0:16:00 > 0:16:01It's like a jungle.

0:16:01 > 0:16:04- Yeah. It is like a jungle, isn't it? - Yeah.

0:16:04 > 0:16:06That's cos it is.

0:16:06 > 0:16:10- This is the largest single span greenhouse in the world.- Whoa.

0:16:10 > 0:16:13- They've got actual palm trees and things.- Whoa.

0:16:13 > 0:16:16- Do you want to have a look around? - BOTH:- Yeah.

0:16:17 > 0:16:20Short of hopping on a plane to the Caribbean itself,

0:16:20 > 0:16:23it doesn't get much more tropical than this place.

0:16:23 > 0:16:25Do you feel like you're in Britain right now?

0:16:25 > 0:16:28- Not really.- No.- You don't, do you?

0:16:29 > 0:16:31This vast greenhouse is climate controlled to make

0:16:31 > 0:16:34sure its plants can grow as though every day

0:16:34 > 0:16:38under its 785 panels of glass is a sunny one.

0:16:38 > 0:16:41It seems like the outside has been brought inside.

0:16:41 > 0:16:43- Yeah, it does, doesn't it? - Yep.- Yeah.

0:16:43 > 0:16:47'It's ideal for giving Mum and Dad's wedding the Caribbean treatment,

0:16:47 > 0:16:48'so much so we've already started

0:16:48 > 0:16:51'talking about it like it could be our venue.'

0:16:51 > 0:16:53So where shall we have the ceremony then?

0:16:53 > 0:16:56- I'm thinking here.- Yeah, I was thinking this could be a good spot.

0:16:56 > 0:16:57Yeah.

0:16:57 > 0:16:59What should we do with it then?

0:16:59 > 0:17:02- We can have Mum and Dad getting married there.- Right.

0:17:02 > 0:17:08But Mum walking up here and meeting Dad there.

0:17:08 > 0:17:10OK, I can see all this coming together.

0:17:10 > 0:17:13- Is this our venue?- BOTH:- Yep!- Yes!

0:17:13 > 0:17:16High-five. Come on! Yes. We've done it.

0:17:17 > 0:17:18Venue sorted.

0:17:20 > 0:17:23'Katya and Jazzy are finally ready for Mum and Dad's wedding.'

0:17:23 > 0:17:26From awesome outfits to Caribbean cuisine.

0:17:26 > 0:17:30Acrobatic dancing to gigantic greenhouses.

0:17:30 > 0:17:34The girls have worked flat-out to turn their plans into reality.

0:17:34 > 0:17:36But Mum and Dad are wondering if Katya

0:17:36 > 0:17:39and Jazzy might have some wedding day mischief in mind.

0:17:39 > 0:17:42- You think you know your children. - Yeah.- But, actually, maybe we don't.

0:17:42 > 0:17:44Maybe you don't.

0:17:44 > 0:17:46That's right, Mum and Dad, prepare to be shocked.

0:17:51 > 0:17:53It's the night before the wedding,

0:17:53 > 0:17:57but weather conditions outside the hotel the family are staying in

0:17:57 > 0:18:00could mean problems for the girls' Caribbean theme.

0:18:00 > 0:18:04The weather's been, um... There's been rain and snow.

0:18:04 > 0:18:06Yeah, it's not been very good.

0:18:07 > 0:18:11If the rain and snow don't stop, the carnival parade might not happen.

0:18:11 > 0:18:12Worrying news,

0:18:12 > 0:18:16but luckily the girls have something to take their minds off the weather.

0:18:16 > 0:18:19We've been winding up our dad by telling him he's going

0:18:19 > 0:18:24to be dressed as a clown or a pineapple.

0:18:24 > 0:18:26Don't worry, Dad, you won't be a pineapple.

0:18:26 > 0:18:30But in a bright orange suit, you'll definitely look a bit tropical.

0:18:34 > 0:18:36So here we are, Mum and Dad's big day.

0:18:36 > 0:18:39And I have to say it's the first time I've ever worn a straw hat,

0:18:39 > 0:18:43sunglasses and gloves at the same time.

0:18:43 > 0:18:45It's a little bit nippy this morning,

0:18:45 > 0:18:47so I'm hoping that things will warm up.

0:18:49 > 0:18:53Ed might be a bit nippy, but the girls have got bigger problems.

0:18:53 > 0:18:56The parade performers have been delayed by snow that has

0:18:56 > 0:18:59engulfed pretty much everywhere else in the UK.

0:18:59 > 0:19:01'It's now fingers crossed that they can make it in time,

0:19:01 > 0:19:05'as I kick things off over at the hotel.'

0:19:05 > 0:19:08Do you have anyone here who's getting married today?

0:19:08 > 0:19:11- How are you all feeling? Are you all all right?- Nervous.- Nervous.

0:19:11 > 0:19:14- And I bet you're looking forward to it, eh?- Yeah.

0:19:14 > 0:19:15Yeah, can't wait.

0:19:15 > 0:19:18Well, I have arrived with your outfits.

0:19:18 > 0:19:22- Now I'm going to leave them here and I will leave you to it.- Thank you.

0:19:22 > 0:19:23Nothing to worry about.

0:19:26 > 0:19:27Back at the venue,

0:19:27 > 0:19:30Ed is doing his best to make sure that we're ready on time.

0:19:30 > 0:19:32We've got to set all this up.

0:19:32 > 0:19:35And we've got very little time. The guests are here in about 15 minutes.

0:19:38 > 0:19:41Come on, Ed. You can do it.

0:19:41 > 0:19:42Meanwhile, at the hotel, we've got

0:19:42 > 0:19:47two carnival bridesmaids itching to turn up the heat on this wedding.

0:19:47 > 0:19:50You look lovely. Give us a twirl. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

0:19:50 > 0:19:53Tell me, how happy are you feeling in your outfits?

0:19:53 > 0:19:55- BOTH:- Really happy. - Really happy. Good.

0:19:55 > 0:19:58- Let's hope Mum and Dad are just as happy in theirs, eh?- Yep.

0:19:59 > 0:20:02As Mum and Dad are led in, is this carnival wedding set to

0:20:02 > 0:20:05sizzle or will the girls plans get a frosty reception?

0:20:06 > 0:20:10Mum and Dad, it's finally time for you to see the outfits that

0:20:10 > 0:20:13Katya and Jazzy have chosen for you to wear on your wedding day.

0:20:13 > 0:20:15After three, you're going to take off your blindfolds,

0:20:15 > 0:20:18and we'll reveal the outfits.

0:20:18 > 0:20:19One, two, three.

0:20:22 > 0:20:23THEY LAUGH

0:20:28 > 0:20:30- Oh, my goodness!- Wow!

0:20:30 > 0:20:33Craig looks quite funny., But he looks quite nice actually.

0:20:33 > 0:20:38- Yeah, I can deal with that.- So any guesses what the theme might be?

0:20:38 > 0:20:40- It's very colourful.- Tropical?

0:20:40 > 0:20:43Tropical, some sort of tropical type...?

0:20:43 > 0:20:47'Something tropical, Dad? With a suit THAT bright, you might be right.

0:20:47 > 0:20:50'The bride and groom may think they've guessed the girls' theme,

0:20:50 > 0:20:51'but they still have no idea

0:20:51 > 0:20:55'that they'll be travelling to their wedding at the head of their very own

0:20:55 > 0:20:56'Caribbean carnival procession.'

0:20:58 > 0:21:00Over at the venue there's good news.

0:21:00 > 0:21:03The parade performers have made it time to reveal the second

0:21:03 > 0:21:06part of the happy couple's big surprise.

0:21:06 > 0:21:07We just keep walking.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09With everybody in place, it's time for Mum

0:21:09 > 0:21:14and Dad to find out that they're king and queen of the carnival.

0:21:14 > 0:21:16After three, take off your blindfolds. One, two, three.

0:21:16 > 0:21:17Check this out!

0:21:17 > 0:21:19CHEERING

0:21:24 > 0:21:27'I imagined that there was just a few people there.

0:21:27 > 0:21:30'And when I took the blindfold off, there was just loads of people'

0:21:30 > 0:21:32and colour and everything.

0:21:32 > 0:21:33It was just amazing.

0:21:33 > 0:21:35Let's get this party started.

0:21:38 > 0:21:41Mum and Dad might have wanted a vintage car ride to their wedding,

0:21:41 > 0:21:44but this beats it any day of the week, even if

0:21:44 > 0:21:47it's not quite Caribbean weather.

0:21:47 > 0:21:49Absolutely amazing. Superb.

0:21:50 > 0:21:52I feel like I'm pulling a horse.

0:21:54 > 0:21:58Mum and Dad were really happy when they saw the carnival,

0:21:58 > 0:22:01but I think they were quite shocked as well, because they only

0:22:01 > 0:22:04thought that it would be Caribbean, but it was Caribbean carnival.

0:22:04 > 0:22:07And I think they had a tear in their eye, I think.

0:22:08 > 0:22:11Katya and Jazzy have pulled off something really special

0:22:11 > 0:22:13for Mum and Dad's big day.

0:22:13 > 0:22:15Despite some typical British weather, they've brought

0:22:15 > 0:22:19the Caribbean here to the UK, and the bride and groom are loving it.

0:22:20 > 0:22:25This is just something else. It's fantastic.

0:22:38 > 0:22:40- in one of these?- No.- Never.

0:22:40 > 0:22:43I didn't think you could get married somewhere like this, so, yeah.

0:26:20 > 0:26:22Mum and Dad's Caribbean wedding is almost over,
