0:00:53 > 0:00:55We're in Cornwall by the brilliant British beach,

0:00:55 > 0:00:58where I'm cooking my heart out.

0:00:58 > 0:00:59This is fun!

0:00:59 > 0:01:01And writing my food blog.

0:01:01 > 0:01:05The whole Ramsay bunch loves crazy seaside adventures.

0:01:05 > 0:01:07It's so good!

0:01:07 > 0:01:10Ice cream, swimming, sailing,

0:01:10 > 0:01:12rock pools, sand castles...

0:01:12 > 0:01:14The seaside is awesome.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17But today we're doing something I've never tried before.

0:01:19 > 0:01:20Whoo!

0:01:20 > 0:01:22So the big question is,

0:01:22 > 0:01:24what's the best thing to do at the beach?

0:01:27 > 0:01:30I love cooking fish when I'm at the seaside,

0:01:30 > 0:01:32so I've sent Jack on a mission to get me some.

0:01:34 > 0:01:36- Hello.- That's Milly.

0:01:37 > 0:01:40Today, I'm making my seaside favourite -

0:01:40 > 0:01:42delicious any-fish pie,

0:01:42 > 0:01:45a home-made tomato ketchup to go with it,

0:01:45 > 0:01:46and when we're by the seaside

0:01:46 > 0:01:50we've got to have my magic 99 ice creams.

0:01:51 > 0:01:53The great thing about my any-fish pie

0:01:53 > 0:01:56is you can put any fish in it!

0:01:56 > 0:01:57- Wow!- We've been out early this morning,

0:01:57 > 0:01:59and this is what we've caught.

0:01:59 > 0:02:02So Jack's getting me the catch of the day from local fisherman Jason.

0:02:02 > 0:02:06- That's a nice lobster, there. - These are for my sister's fish pie.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08That is perfect for a lobster pie.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10I think if you're going to buy this lobster,

0:02:10 > 0:02:12we're going to have to put some bands on the claws.

0:02:12 > 0:02:14If you don't, you could get pinched!

0:02:14 > 0:02:18We always do this claw first, cos this is his fast snapper claw.

0:02:18 > 0:02:20Just put the band on, a little twist.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22This one here, that's his main cruncher claw.

0:02:22 > 0:02:25- Yeah.- That's the one, if you get your finger stuck in there,

0:02:25 > 0:02:27you'd definitely have a black fingernail.

0:02:27 > 0:02:29Ah, that's got to hurt!

0:02:29 > 0:02:32Don't want your sister getting bit while she's cooking the lobster,

0:02:32 > 0:02:33- do we?- No!

0:02:33 > 0:02:35Definitely not!

0:02:35 > 0:02:37They are like dinosaurs, aren't they? Like aliens.

0:02:37 > 0:02:40Well, they are, but they're very tasty dinosaurs.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43I hope Tilly makes a lovely pie.

0:02:43 > 0:02:44Thank you very much.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51I call this my any-fish pie.

0:02:52 > 0:02:54Because you can make it with any fish

0:02:54 > 0:02:56and it always tastes delicious.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00I'm using two different types today.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03Jack got me a lobster from the fisherman in Padstow,

0:03:03 > 0:03:04and I've got some lovely hake.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07I can't wait to find out what Dad thinks of this combination.

0:03:07 > 0:03:09He's so fussy.

0:03:10 > 0:03:13First, I'm going to start by melting the butter.

0:03:13 > 0:03:15Now I'm going to chop up my spring onions.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21Add frozen peas,

0:03:21 > 0:03:23some Dijon mustard.

0:03:23 > 0:03:25Little bit spicy.

0:03:25 > 0:03:26Milk,

0:03:26 > 0:03:28and creme fraiche.

0:03:28 > 0:03:30Creme fraiche tastes a bit like yoghurt,

0:03:30 > 0:03:32and it'll thicken up my sauce.

0:03:32 > 0:03:33My cheese.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35Love cheddar cheese!

0:03:35 > 0:03:37You can put in whatever fish you have.

0:03:37 > 0:03:40I'm using my hake and Jack's cooked lobster.

0:03:40 > 0:03:42Wow! That's a big claw.

0:03:42 > 0:03:44Wouldn't like that to be pinching me!

0:03:45 > 0:03:47I'm not going to break the claw up.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50I think I'm going to leave it whole, sees whoever gets it.

0:03:50 > 0:03:51Next, chopped parsley.

0:03:51 > 0:03:53I love it when Dad tests my food.

0:03:53 > 0:03:55He's quite critical, though,

0:03:55 > 0:03:57but I think that's a good thing, cos it helps me learn.

0:03:59 > 0:04:02To finish the pie, just add salt and pepper

0:04:02 > 0:04:05and top with creamy mashed potatoes.

0:04:05 > 0:04:07There we go. So, to decorate it,

0:04:07 > 0:04:09I'm just going to run the fork along like the ocean.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12Don't want to push too hard, though,

0:04:12 > 0:04:14because I don't want it to go all the way through.

0:04:14 > 0:04:17I think that's oven-ready.

0:04:17 > 0:04:19After 20 minutes, that'll be perfect.

0:04:29 > 0:04:33And remember that our parents like to know if we're cooking hot stuff,

0:04:33 > 0:04:35even if we know what we're doing.

0:04:35 > 0:04:36Very hot.

0:04:36 > 0:04:37Amazing!

0:04:39 > 0:04:43So this is a perfect celebration for the seaside.

0:04:44 > 0:04:47Check out my recipes and blog on the CBBC website.

0:04:47 > 0:04:49Mm, mm, mm.

0:04:49 > 0:04:50Lovely fish pie!

0:04:53 > 0:04:55Megan's friend Emma is staying with us in Cornwall,

0:04:55 > 0:04:57so we're all hitting the beach...

0:04:57 > 0:04:59- Who's excited?- Me!- Me!

0:04:59 > 0:05:01..for some fast and furious fun!

0:05:01 > 0:05:03Whoa, Blokarts!

0:05:03 > 0:05:05- Morning!- Hi!- Hi.

0:05:05 > 0:05:07- These things look awesome. - Has anybody sailed at all before?

0:05:07 > 0:05:10- A little bit?- Not really! - Just a little bit?

0:05:10 > 0:05:12Blokarting is a bit like go-karting,

0:05:12 > 0:05:14but instead of an engine, you have a sail.

0:05:15 > 0:05:18Blokarts are the easiest way to learn to sail.

0:05:18 > 0:05:21Who can tell me which way the wind's blowing?

0:05:21 > 0:05:23- O...K!- That way.- We're all pointing! - All right.

0:05:23 > 0:05:26The world speed record for a Blokart

0:05:26 > 0:05:30is an incredible 60mph. That's fast!

0:05:30 > 0:05:31There, perfect one.

0:05:31 > 0:05:33So there's loads of safety equipment.

0:05:33 > 0:05:34Jack needs a cannon,

0:05:34 > 0:05:37then we can just fire him out with his yellow helmet.

0:05:37 > 0:05:38Ha-ha!

0:05:39 > 0:05:41Safety belts on.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44And the basic rule is, if you pull the sail in,

0:05:44 > 0:05:46it will go faster.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49If you let the sail out, it will go slower.

0:05:49 > 0:05:54What may happen is the kart may go up onto two wheels.

0:05:54 > 0:05:56First thing is, let go of the rope,

0:05:56 > 0:05:58and it's going to go down onto its side.

0:05:58 > 0:06:01- Tilly?- And... You all right, Tilly?

0:06:01 > 0:06:02- Yeah!- OK, that's good.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05OK. Wind, wheels,

0:06:05 > 0:06:08sail, ignition!

0:06:10 > 0:06:13What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?!

0:06:13 > 0:06:15Whoohoo!

0:06:17 > 0:06:19SHE LAUGHS AND SHRIEKS

0:06:21 > 0:06:23So fun!

0:06:28 > 0:06:30Eat my sand, Jack!

0:06:30 > 0:06:31Whoooo!

0:06:33 > 0:06:35Go, Megan!

0:06:35 > 0:06:36Oops!

0:06:36 > 0:06:37SHE LAUGHS

0:06:39 > 0:06:41I'm going over!

0:06:42 > 0:06:44Whoaaa!

0:06:44 > 0:06:45SHE SHRIEKS

0:06:46 > 0:06:47And again!

0:06:49 > 0:06:51OK, so we're going to do a pre-race selfie. You ready?

0:06:51 > 0:06:53Race time!

0:06:53 > 0:06:56On your marks, get set, go!

0:07:00 > 0:07:01I'm ahead!

0:07:01 > 0:07:03I'm beating you! I'm beating you!

0:07:04 > 0:07:05I'm winning!

0:07:10 > 0:07:11Wipe out!

0:07:11 > 0:07:12Yesssss!

0:07:13 > 0:07:15I'm the winner!

0:07:16 > 0:07:18I won! Whoo!

0:07:19 > 0:07:21That was so cool.

0:07:23 > 0:07:26When you crashed into me, that was crazy!

0:07:26 > 0:07:27LAUGHTER

0:07:27 > 0:07:30There's only one thing about having a blast at the seaside -

0:07:30 > 0:07:32it makes you hungry!

0:07:36 > 0:07:39One of my favourite sauces is home-made ketchup,

0:07:39 > 0:07:42and for some reason it always makes me think of the seaside.

0:07:42 > 0:07:46It's really easy to make, and it's so good with fish pie.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48First of all, you get some garlic.

0:07:48 > 0:07:51So you just crush the garlic

0:07:51 > 0:07:53until they come flying out like that.

0:07:53 > 0:07:54It doesn't matter if they fall on the floor,

0:07:54 > 0:07:57because they've got some sort of skin around them that you don't eat.

0:07:57 > 0:08:00Some people say it makes your breath smell stinky.

0:08:00 > 0:08:02And keeps the vampires away.

0:08:04 > 0:08:05Chop the garlic.

0:08:07 > 0:08:10Add tinned tomatoes

0:08:10 > 0:08:12and red wine vinegar.

0:08:12 > 0:08:14This is going to make it a bit sour,

0:08:14 > 0:08:16but then, to make it nice and sweet,

0:08:16 > 0:08:18maple syrup.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21Then, add English mustard powder,

0:08:21 > 0:08:23salt, and a bay leaf.

0:08:23 > 0:08:25Hello, snorey-pants!

0:08:25 > 0:08:27Come here. What's up with your bandanna?

0:08:27 > 0:08:29That's good.

0:08:29 > 0:08:32Now I need to wash my hands cos I've been touching you.

0:08:33 > 0:08:35Good boy. You can watch.

0:08:35 > 0:08:37And your tomato puree.

0:08:37 > 0:08:39Ground coriander.

0:08:39 > 0:08:40Which smells delicious.

0:08:40 > 0:08:42This is a really easy recipe.

0:08:42 > 0:08:44And cinnamon.

0:08:44 > 0:08:46Let it bubble away, and when it starts bubbling

0:08:46 > 0:08:48I'm going to leave it for 20 minutes.

0:08:55 > 0:08:58Can you please only put sand from below the legs?

0:08:58 > 0:09:00We don't want no sandy hair!

0:09:00 > 0:09:01The guys are messing about at the beach,

0:09:01 > 0:09:04burying Megan and Emma, mermaid-style!

0:09:07 > 0:09:09I don't want you to move your legs now, OK?

0:09:09 > 0:09:10I feel, like, six years old again.

0:09:13 > 0:09:14Meg and Emma, you guys have it easy.

0:09:14 > 0:09:16You don't have to do all the digging.

0:09:16 > 0:09:19- Megan! I told you not to move your feet!- Oh, my gosh.

0:09:23 > 0:09:25Sand mermaids done.

0:09:25 > 0:09:27With my mermaids.

0:09:29 > 0:09:32- Nice!- We're going to go and get a hot chocolate, OK?

0:09:32 > 0:09:34So you guys just stay there. Cool?

0:09:34 > 0:09:36- We'll be, like, two minutes. - OK, guys.

0:09:36 > 0:09:37Wait for us!

0:09:44 > 0:09:46Ketchup cooked and cooled.

0:09:46 > 0:09:47Blitz.

0:09:49 > 0:09:52Ooooh! Thanks for that nice little shower, Tilly!

0:09:53 > 0:09:55- Tills, I have to say...- Sorry! - ..for someone as messy as you,

0:09:55 > 0:09:57that's not a bad job.

0:09:57 > 0:09:59Then pour into your ketchup bottle.

0:09:59 > 0:10:01A funnel is useful here.

0:10:01 > 0:10:02Why did I walk in at this moment?

0:10:02 > 0:10:03Job done.

0:10:03 > 0:10:05- Thanks, Mum!- You're welcome.

0:10:05 > 0:10:07I wonder what would happen if I shook this?

0:10:07 > 0:10:09- I'm leaving the kitchen.- Whoohoo!

0:10:09 > 0:10:11Teasing Mum over.

0:10:11 > 0:10:12Time to get shots for my blog.

0:10:12 > 0:10:16That is ready to be served with the fish pie.

0:10:18 > 0:10:21We're not the only ones who love going to the seaside.

0:10:23 > 0:10:25Rumpole and our new dog Bruno

0:10:25 > 0:10:28are becoming best buds here.

0:10:28 > 0:10:30I think their relationship's kind of started in Cornwall,

0:10:30 > 0:10:32cos we haven't even had Bruno a week,

0:10:32 > 0:10:35and before Rumpole used to try and bite Bruno.

0:10:35 > 0:10:36SHE LAUGHS

0:10:36 > 0:10:38But now I think Cornwall...

0:10:38 > 0:10:41I think that four-hour car ride really made them bond together.

0:10:44 > 0:10:46FIREWORKS

0:10:46 > 0:10:49When you go to the seaside, you have to have an ice cream.

0:10:49 > 0:10:50It's tradition.

0:10:50 > 0:10:54I call my ice cream magic because it's so easy to make

0:10:54 > 0:10:57and it doesn't even have any cream or milk in it.

0:10:57 > 0:11:00All I've done is chopped up some bananas and put them in the freezer

0:11:00 > 0:11:02with some blackberries, ready to add in.

0:11:05 > 0:11:07And my frozen blackberries.

0:11:09 > 0:11:11Hm, I wonder what they're like.

0:11:12 > 0:11:13Mm.

0:11:13 > 0:11:15Brain freeze!

0:11:15 > 0:11:17Then you add peanut butter.

0:11:21 > 0:11:23Ooooh.

0:11:23 > 0:11:24Easy peasy!

0:11:26 > 0:11:28So, that looks good.

0:11:28 > 0:11:29Just have a little...

0:11:31 > 0:11:34Mm, that's delicious!

0:11:36 > 0:11:37SHE CHUCKLES

0:11:38 > 0:11:40Whoopsie!

0:11:43 > 0:11:44Mm!

0:11:44 > 0:11:47So, I'll show you how I would decorate mine.

0:11:49 > 0:11:51Dip it in the sprinkles.

0:11:52 > 0:11:54That looks good.

0:11:54 > 0:11:56Then, they're called 99s

0:11:56 > 0:11:58cos they've got the chocolate flake

0:11:58 > 0:12:00right in the middle.

0:12:00 > 0:12:03Mm-mm-mm!

0:12:03 > 0:12:05Can't get any better than that.

0:12:06 > 0:12:09This ice cream is ready to be served.

0:12:16 > 0:12:18Come on, Tilly, we're starving!

0:12:18 > 0:12:20Whoo, home-made ketchup!

0:12:20 > 0:12:23And Matilda's fish pie is called any-fish pie.

0:12:23 > 0:12:26It smells delicious and it looks very rustic.

0:12:26 > 0:12:28Tills, give me an insight, please.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31So in this fish pie we've got hake and lobster.

0:12:31 > 0:12:34There's one whole lobster claw about that big in there.

0:12:34 > 0:12:35Oooh!

0:12:35 > 0:12:37You went to the fisherman.

0:12:38 > 0:12:41Inside this, it's a bit of a sweet and sour ketchup.

0:12:41 > 0:12:44Yeah, it's delicious.

0:12:44 > 0:12:46- Thank you, Jack.- I love the ketchup.

0:12:46 > 0:12:48I think it's delicious.

0:12:48 > 0:12:49But what does Dad think?

0:12:49 > 0:12:52I know professional chefs that put lobsters inside fish pies

0:12:52 > 0:12:54and it comes out rubbery.

0:12:54 > 0:12:58The lobster, for me, was decadent, sweet, incredibly delicious.

0:12:58 > 0:13:01It looked fabulous, and I'm going to have to give it

0:13:01 > 0:13:02a nine and a half.

0:13:02 > 0:13:04Whoo!

0:13:05 > 0:13:07Thank you.

0:13:07 > 0:13:10I think your cooking is improving across the summer.

0:13:10 > 0:13:11- Whoa!- Dessert!- Whooo!

0:13:11 > 0:13:13Wow. What do we have here?

0:13:13 > 0:13:15This is special ice cream.

0:13:15 > 0:13:18Chopped up bananas, frozen, and frozen blackberries,
