0:02:37 > 0:02:39We'll need...

0:02:39 > 0:02:40some thick card...

0:02:45 > 0:02:48..a water sprayer...

0:02:48 > 0:02:51and, of course, we'll need one more thing.

0:02:51 > 0:02:53That's right, we'll need...

0:02:53 > 0:02:54a boomerang.

0:02:55 > 0:02:57A boomerang?

0:02:57 > 0:02:59We don't need a boomerang! Scrappz!

0:02:59 > 0:03:03I found this boomerang in Australia, didn't I?

0:03:03 > 0:03:07I don't need it right now. I'll just get rid of it. OK, here we go.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10What we do need are some felt-tip pens.

0:03:10 > 0:03:12Could you find some, please?

0:03:12 > 0:03:13Oh, thank you.

0:03:13 > 0:03:15Whoa! What a catch, eh?

0:03:28 > 0:03:32Excellent. We've got everything we need.

0:03:32 > 0:03:36Although it does feel like something's missing.

0:03:36 > 0:03:38Do you know what it is? No?

0:03:38 > 0:03:41Um... Er...

0:03:41 > 0:03:42I'm here, Mister Maker.

0:03:42 > 0:03:46Of course, Matilda! It's you, my friend.

0:03:46 > 0:03:50It's lovely to see you. You're just in time to help me make our picture.

0:03:50 > 0:03:55It's a rainy rainforest picture. Very colourful.

0:03:55 > 0:03:57- Are you ready?- Yes.

0:03:57 > 0:03:59Good. Are you ready?

0:03:59 > 0:04:02Fantastic. Let's get making.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05Now, Matilda, this picture is going to get wet

0:04:05 > 0:04:08and it can get a little bit messy,

0:04:08 > 0:04:12so it's a good idea to put down some old paper or some newspaper first.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15- I think we should put on an apron, don't you?- Yes.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18Yes, I think so. Right, this way.

0:04:18 > 0:04:21- Excellent. Well, we look great, don't we?- Yes.

0:04:21 > 0:04:25Right, let's get our big piece of card, like this.

0:04:25 > 0:04:29Now, Matilda, this needs to be card

0:04:29 > 0:04:31because it's going to get very wet.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34We're also going to use felt-tip pens.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37Could you pass me a felt-tip pen, please? Thank you.

0:04:37 > 0:04:41I think we should test out this felt-tip pen first.

0:04:41 > 0:04:45So, I'm just going to take a little piece of card, like that.

0:04:45 > 0:04:48I'm going to write my name - Mister Maker.

0:04:50 > 0:04:56Now, when this pen is sprayed with water, something magical happens.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59I'm going to put that in front of you, Matilda.

0:04:59 > 0:05:04Why don't you take the water sprayer and spray the pen with water.

0:05:04 > 0:05:05Well done.

0:05:05 > 0:05:10If I just take that, we can see all the colours have smudged.

0:05:10 > 0:05:14That is a great effect. That was a really good test as well, Matilda.

0:05:14 > 0:05:17I think we're ready to draw our picture.

0:05:17 > 0:05:21I'm going to start off by drawing some terrific trees.

0:05:21 > 0:05:26Begin by drawing trunks and branches...like this.

0:05:26 > 0:05:30What else shall we have in our rainy rainforest picture?

0:05:30 > 0:05:33- Flowers and leaves. - That's a great idea.

0:05:33 > 0:05:38And how about we add some scribbly loops at the top of our picture

0:05:38 > 0:05:42to make some dangling vines and creepers?

0:05:42 > 0:05:44All right, then, let's get drawing!

0:05:46 > 0:05:51Make sure you add lots of different details in different colours...

0:05:54 > 0:05:58..and keep going until your picture's finished.

0:05:58 > 0:06:01Instead of rain, we're going to use our water sprayer.

0:06:01 > 0:06:04Now, ask an adult to help you find one of these.

0:06:04 > 0:06:08Make sure it's clean and that it's filled with water,

0:06:08 > 0:06:12because this is going to be the rain in our rainy rainforest.

0:06:12 > 0:06:15All right, then, Matilda, let it rain!

0:06:20 > 0:06:23Look at that, Matilda! What's happening?

0:06:23 > 0:06:25- Smudging.- That's right.

0:06:25 > 0:06:27All the colours are smudging.

0:06:27 > 0:06:30- Does that look good, Matilda?- Yes.

0:06:30 > 0:06:36I think it might be a good idea if we now pick up the card

0:06:36 > 0:06:42and just let the water drip down the picture so all the colours run.

0:06:42 > 0:06:47And, when you're happy with your picture, leave it to dry.

0:06:47 > 0:06:50It's a brilliant rainy rainforest picture.

0:06:50 > 0:06:55And if you enjoy that, why not try these other ideas, too?

0:06:55 > 0:06:57You could make a wonderful waterfall

0:06:57 > 0:07:01with lots of watery plants around a bright blue lake.

0:07:01 > 0:07:04Or you could even make a brilliant volcano

0:07:04 > 0:07:07with plumes of smoke and watery lava.

0:07:07 > 0:07:10Why not try one of those ideas today?

0:07:10 > 0:07:13Thank you so much for your help, Matilda.

0:16:24 > 0:16:31Next, carefully make small cuts all the way around the top of each tube.

0:16:31 > 0:16:33Now fold and tear off

0:16:33 > 0:16:36every other piece of card at the top of the tubes

0:16:36 > 0:16:39until they all look like this.

0:16:41 > 0:16:45This can be a bit fiddly, so ask an adult to help you.

0:16:45 > 0:16:48Next, take your small box

0:16:48 > 0:16:51and make sure the flaps have been cut off at one end.

0:16:51 > 0:16:55Then carefully cut two slots in the middle

0:16:55 > 0:16:57and tear them off to make a door.

0:17:00 > 0:17:04Now take a paper plate and glue down your boxes

0:17:04 > 0:17:09with the bigger one at the back and the smaller one at the front.

0:17:11 > 0:17:14Glue the tubes around the boxes like this.

0:17:16 > 0:17:19Now ask an adult to help you find some play sand.

0:17:19 > 0:17:24Then make a mixture that's half gloopy PVA glue and half sand.

0:17:25 > 0:17:27Give it a stir.

0:17:28 > 0:17:34Then take a brush to paint it all over the castle and the plate.

0:17:34 > 0:17:36Now, this can be a bit messy,

0:17:36 > 0:17:40so it's a good idea to put down some old paper or a tray.

0:17:40 > 0:17:41Then leave it to dry.

0:17:41 > 0:17:42To finish it off,

0:17:42 > 0:17:46stick paper triangles onto straws to make flags,

0:17:46 > 0:17:49then tape them inside the tubes.

0:17:51 > 0:17:56Your everlasting sand castle is finished and ready to play with.

0:17:58 > 0:18:02What a nice idea. Why don't you try it?

0:18:02 > 0:18:06But right now, let's see what our big beach is looking like.

0:18:14 > 0:18:16Nearly finished.
