0:00:57 > 0:00:59Mini Maker message!

0:00:59 > 0:01:03- Hello. I'm Tiana.- Hello, Tiana. Can I help you today?

0:01:03 > 0:01:07- Yes, please, Mr Maker. - I'm on my way!

0:01:24 > 0:01:26This must be the place! Haha!

0:01:29 > 0:01:34- Hello, Tiana! Now, how can I help you today?- Can we paint a pattern?

0:01:34 > 0:01:37A pattern! That's a great idea!

0:01:37 > 0:01:40But what pattern shall we paint? Let's have a think.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42- TAMBOURINE RATTLES - Ooh!

0:01:42 > 0:01:43TAMBOURINE RATTLES

0:01:43 > 0:01:45- Ooh! - SHE LAUGHS

0:01:49 > 0:01:52HE PLAYS THE RECORDER

0:01:57 > 0:02:00Ooh! An old cardboard tube!

0:02:00 > 0:02:02HE PRETENDS TO PLAY THE TRUMPET

0:02:02 > 0:02:08Haha! Ooh! Sorry about that! But this has just given me a great idea!

0:02:09 > 0:02:14Let's try something! If you want to have fantastic fun,

0:02:14 > 0:02:18try printing a pattern with string and a cardboard tube.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21- It's brilliant! - BOTH: Let's make it!

0:02:21 > 0:02:24But first, we'll need somewhere to make it!

0:02:26 > 0:02:28Ooh! Hahaha!

0:02:28 > 0:02:32And we'll also need some things from the doodle drawers!

0:02:32 > 0:02:34I'll be back soon! Haha!

0:02:38 > 0:02:41Some coloured paper.

0:02:46 > 0:02:51Some squirty paint and some gloopy PVA glue. Hehe!

0:02:55 > 0:03:00Ah! We also need an old tray. Now, let's have some help to find that!

0:03:00 > 0:03:02HOOTER HONKS

0:03:03 > 0:03:06- Oh, hello!- Scraps, what's that? A banana?- Mmm! Mmm!

0:03:06 > 0:03:08Oh, great! Thank you!

0:03:08 > 0:03:11I'll have that for a snack later. But right now, I'm looking

0:03:11 > 0:03:15- for an old tray. Can you help, please?- Mm-hm!- Brilliant.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18CRASHING AND RUMMAGING

0:03:21 > 0:03:25Oh, fantastic! Well done. Thank you, Scraps!

0:03:25 > 0:03:29- OK!- That's just what I was looking for, hehe.

0:03:34 > 0:03:37And we also need some wiggly string!

0:03:37 > 0:03:40Haha!

0:03:40 > 0:03:45So, then, Tiana, let's print with a cardboard tube and some

0:03:45 > 0:03:49wiggly string to make a wiggly pattern like this one here!

0:03:49 > 0:03:52- So, are you ready?- Yeah.- Brilliant.

0:03:52 > 0:03:55Are you ready? Fantastic!

0:03:55 > 0:03:58Let's get making! Now, the first thing we're going to do,

0:03:58 > 0:04:02is completely cover our cardboard tube in gloopy glue.

0:04:02 > 0:04:03You can help me with this!

0:04:03 > 0:04:08Here's some gloopy glue. Now can you help me cover this tube in glue?

0:04:08 > 0:04:09Away you go.

0:04:13 > 0:04:14I'll leave that there for the moment.

0:04:14 > 0:04:18Because it's time to cut a long piece of string.

0:04:18 > 0:04:22Now, we need to be careful when using scissors. Because they are...?

0:04:22 > 0:04:24- Sharp!- That's right!

0:04:24 > 0:04:25That was loud! Haha!

0:04:29 > 0:04:34Brilliant. Now we can stick our string to our tube

0:04:34 > 0:04:38in a wiggly pattern. Just like this.

0:04:40 > 0:04:42And then leave it to dry.

0:04:46 > 0:04:51Let's put that to one side. Now, this can get a little bit messy,

0:04:51 > 0:04:55so it's a good idea to put down some old paper, or some newspaper first.

0:04:55 > 0:04:58And then we need to find some colourful paint

0:04:58 > 0:05:02that comes in squeezey, squirty bottles like this.

0:05:02 > 0:05:06Now, hold on to that for me, please. Give it a good squeeze,

0:05:06 > 0:05:10so we have enough paint to cover the tray when we spread it all out.

0:05:16 > 0:05:20There we go. That looks pretty good, I think, well done.

0:05:20 > 0:05:24Now, it's time to bring in a clean piece of paper

0:05:24 > 0:05:28and we're going to roll our wiggly card tube into the paint.

0:05:29 > 0:05:31In it goes.

0:05:35 > 0:05:39There we go. Right. And now we're going to roll it on to our paper.

0:05:43 > 0:05:44Look at that!

0:05:44 > 0:05:46- Do you like that?- Yeah.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49Let's do it again then. Right, let's get some more paint.

0:05:55 > 0:05:56Here it goes.

0:06:00 > 0:06:02Hoho! And there it is!

0:06:02 > 0:06:05Wonderful wiggliness! So, did you enjoy that, Tiana?

0:06:05 > 0:06:09- Yes, Mr Maker.- Brilliant! And if you enjoyed that,

0:06:09 > 0:06:11there are lots of other ideas you could try too.

0:06:11 > 0:06:15You could use two different colours.

0:06:15 > 0:06:20Or why not try using glittery paint to make a zig-zag pattern.

0:06:20 > 0:06:26Printing a wiggly string pattern is fantastic fun! We made it, Tiana!

0:06:26 > 0:06:29And now, your home is where the art is! High-five!

0:14:14 > 0:14:19You win a prize if you throw a ball and it knocks a coconut off a pole.

0:14:19 > 0:14:23Let's start by making our coconut. What does one look like?

0:14:23 > 0:14:26Brown and it's hard and it's heavy.

0:14:26 > 0:14:29What could we make our coconut out of?

0:14:29 > 0:14:34You could put tissue paper, glue it together and then get one of them,

0:14:34 > 0:14:38wrap it around there and then you can make a coconut like that.

0:14:38 > 0:14:41Great! Now we know how to make our coconuts,

0:15:40 > 0:15:46Try making a small coconut shy with its own furry coconut friends.

0:15:46 > 0:15:50Make it, play with it, have fun with it.

0:15:50 > 0:15:54To make it, you will need a cardboard lid, cardboard tubes,

0:16:09 > 0:16:14Take a cardboard lid and the three cardboard tubes.

0:16:14 > 0:16:17It looks good if they're all different lengths.

0:16:17 > 0:16:22Next, draw circles around the tubes on top of your cardboard lid,

0:16:22 > 0:16:23like this.

0:16:25 > 0:16:28Put a piece of modelling clay under the lid,

0:16:28 > 0:16:31and push a hole through each circle with a pencil.

0:16:31 > 0:16:35Then carefully cut out all the holes.

0:16:40 > 0:16:43Now paint the lid any colour you like.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47And leave it to dry.

0:16:48 > 0:16:52Paint the tubes a different colour and leave them to dry.
