0:01:32 > 0:01:35Can we recycle old paper to make something new?

0:01:35 > 0:01:40I think we can. I think we can recycle this old paper

0:01:40 > 0:01:44to make something new. In fact, we could make...

0:01:47 > 0:01:50Oh, dear. That's not quite right.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52Oh, I know. Um... Yes... Um...

0:01:54 > 0:01:57Oh, no, that's not right either.

0:01:57 > 0:01:59Do you know what?

0:01:59 > 0:02:01I think I might start again!

0:02:01 > 0:02:05Oh, no! Wait a minute! Wait a minute!

0:02:05 > 0:02:08This has just given me a great idea!

0:02:08 > 0:02:10Let's try something.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16Try making a scrunched-up countryside out of old paper.

0:02:16 > 0:02:19It looks very realistic.

0:02:20 > 0:02:24- BOTH: Let's make it!- But first, we'll need somewhere to make it.

0:02:27 > 0:02:32And we'll also need some things from the Doodle Drawers.

0:02:32 > 0:02:34I'll be back soon, thank you.

0:02:36 > 0:02:40Some twigs, leaves and flowers from a garden,

0:02:40 > 0:02:44but make sure you ask an adult to help you collect these.

0:02:47 > 0:02:52A bowl, some sticky tape and some gloopy PVA glue.

0:02:56 > 0:03:01We also need some pebbles. I wonder if Scrappz can help us.

0:03:01 > 0:03:03HONK

0:03:03 > 0:03:05- Ha-ha!- Oh, hello, Scrappz.

0:03:05 > 0:03:08We need some pebbles but I'm in a bit of a rush.

0:03:08 > 0:03:13- Could you go to the garden centre for me?- Hee-hee!- Oh, thank you!

0:03:14 > 0:03:17Ah, Scrappz, there you are, thank you.

0:03:17 > 0:03:22- Ha-ha, hee-hee. - Perfect, some pebbles!

0:03:23 > 0:03:28We'll also need some paint and some brushes...

0:03:29 > 0:03:33..and lots of coloured paper and card.

0:03:33 > 0:03:37OK then, Morgan, let's make a scrunched up countryside,

0:03:37 > 0:03:40like this one here.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43Wow, look at it...beautiful.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46- All right, Morgan, are you ready?- Yeah!

0:03:46 > 0:03:50Brilliant. Are you ready? Fantastic. Let's get making.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53Take some blue and green paper and we scrunch up

0:03:53 > 0:03:57the mountain and hill shapes first, OK?

0:03:57 > 0:04:00Let's have a look at them. Look, they're all crinkly

0:04:00 > 0:04:03which gives them interesting shapes and details.

0:04:03 > 0:04:06All right, let's get scrunching.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08There you go. Scrunch that.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18When you've finished scrunching,

0:04:18 > 0:04:22bring in some card to stick your mountains and hills to.

0:04:22 > 0:04:25Let's arrange them and when we're happy with them

0:04:25 > 0:04:30stick them down with tape. Let's start with that mountain.

0:04:30 > 0:04:33Can you put some tape on there?

0:04:34 > 0:04:37Well done. And another bit of tape, please.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44Now we can place twigs, leaves and flowers

0:04:44 > 0:04:47around our scrunched-up mountains and hills.

0:04:47 > 0:04:53We can even put them here, in the gaps between the shapes.

0:04:53 > 0:04:55Now, this adds colour to our countryside.

0:04:55 > 0:04:59All right, Morgan, you can find twigs, leaves and flowers.

0:04:59 > 0:05:03We'll put them all in place and we'll stick them down with..?

0:05:03 > 0:05:07- Sticky tape. - That's right. Let's find some.

0:05:08 > 0:05:13That'll be nice. I'll put that in place. In there will be nice.

0:05:16 > 0:05:20Now we can add pebbles and stones to look like rocks.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31Now we need to make a very special mixture

0:05:31 > 0:05:34that's half gloopy glue and half paint.

0:05:34 > 0:05:36We'll use blue paint for this

0:05:36 > 0:05:39because this mixture is going to be our water.

0:05:39 > 0:05:42All right, Morgan, you can help with this.

0:05:42 > 0:05:46Here's a cup. Make the special mixture, please,

0:05:46 > 0:05:51and put in some gloopy glue first. That's it, put in a big squirt.

0:05:57 > 0:06:00Give it a stir with the paint brush.

0:06:00 > 0:06:05Good mixing, Morgan, it's now time to pour that mixture

0:06:05 > 0:06:07over our countryside

0:06:07 > 0:06:12to make a waterfall and a lake.

0:06:12 > 0:06:14OK then, here we go.

0:06:22 > 0:06:24It looks great!

0:06:25 > 0:06:32And, when it's all dried, you have a wonderful waterfall and a lake.

0:06:34 > 0:06:38For a bit of extra detail we can brush on white paint

0:06:38 > 0:06:41to make ripples and waves in the water.

0:06:46 > 0:06:51There, it's all finished. It's a super scrunched-up countryside!

0:06:51 > 0:06:55And you can use this idea in lots of different ways.

0:06:55 > 0:07:01How about making a beach with a cardboard boat and paper sand dunes?

0:07:01 > 0:07:05Or why not make a seaside harbour with a pebbly beach

0:07:05 > 0:07:07and paper sailing boats?

0:07:07 > 0:07:12- Why don't you try one? All right, Morgan, did you enjoy that?- Yeah.

0:07:12 > 0:07:17Brilliant. We made it and now your home is where the art is. High five!

0:07:20 > 0:07:23'Well done, Morgan, see you soon. Bye.'

0:07:23 > 0:07:27Ahh! Ha-ha. Lovely.

0:07:27 > 0:07:30It's brilliant being out in the Makermobile.

0:07:33 > 0:07:35- Hee-hee.- Boing!- Squeak!

0:07:35 > 0:07:37What's that noise?

0:07:37 > 0:07:41Oh! Guess who that is?

0:07:41 > 0:07:44- Oh!- Wee!

0:07:44 > 0:07:47- Wa-hey!- Ah! Yeah!

0:08:22 > 0:08:24# I am a shape

0:08:27 > 0:08:28# I am a shape

0:08:32 > 0:08:33# I am a shape

0:08:36 > 0:08:38# I am a shape

0:08:44 > 0:08:47# I am a triangle. #

0:08:49 > 0:08:52What's hiding in the triangles?

0:08:56 > 0:08:58Can you guess?

0:10:21 > 0:10:24Some tissue paper, some modelling clay,

0:10:24 > 0:10:28a net bag - this is the type that fruit normally comes in.

0:12:08 > 0:12:12like this, very nice.

0:12:12 > 0:12:17Or you could even stick your net onto a painted cardboard wall.
