0:02:13 > 0:02:16Wow! It's some kitchen foil.

0:02:16 > 0:02:20It's a bit squashed. I must have been sitting on it.

0:02:20 > 0:02:25But this has just given me a great idea. Let's try something.

0:03:55 > 0:04:01OK then, Alex, let's make a foil animal picture like this one here.

0:04:01 > 0:04:03Look, it's a foil dog.

0:04:09 > 0:04:11Fantastic! Let's get making.

0:04:11 > 0:04:17The first thing we're going to do is take a foil tray with a lid.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21We're going to take this lid off and put it to one side.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24It's time to turn over the tray.

0:04:24 > 0:04:29We're going to squash it flat with a heavy book. Here we go.

0:04:31 > 0:04:37Wow! That's nice and flat. Now this is going to be the body of our dog.

0:04:37 > 0:04:42Let's put it over here. Now we need to squash some smaller cases.

0:04:42 > 0:04:47This is great for recycling foil containers that have been washed.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50You can turn them into something new.

0:04:50 > 0:04:57Everything has been squashed, so let's move these pieces to the side.

0:04:57 > 0:05:01Now we're going to use these foil lids, like the one from earlier.

0:05:01 > 0:05:04These are going to make the other parts of the dog.

0:05:04 > 0:05:07What shapes are on our dog?

0:05:07 > 0:05:11We've got triangle shapes for the tail and the feet

0:05:11 > 0:05:17and rectangle legs, a zigzag mouth and V-shaped ears.

0:05:17 > 0:05:21All right, Alex, let's cut out the dog's shapes,

0:05:29 > 0:05:31Here's the card.

0:05:31 > 0:05:34And let's get cutting.

0:05:34 > 0:05:38If you haven't got foil lids, any type of card will do.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41It's time to build the foil dog.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44We're doing this on dark paper. It works really well -

0:05:44 > 0:05:47it makes our foil really stand out.

0:05:47 > 0:05:50Let's bring back in the pieces of the dog.

0:05:55 > 0:05:59When you're happy with everything, stick it all down.

0:05:59 > 0:06:01- Are you happy, Alex?- Yes.

0:06:01 > 0:06:06Good. Let's get sticking. Can you put some glue on the back of that?

0:06:07 > 0:06:09That's it, put plenty on. Thank you.

0:06:15 > 0:06:18Let's make some eyes for our dog.

0:06:18 > 0:06:21I'm going to give you the stickers.

0:06:21 > 0:06:25Can you draw some dots in the middle, please, for pupils?

0:06:28 > 0:06:30Well done. Let's stick these on.

0:06:35 > 0:06:39And finally, we can make a bone shape from kitchen foil.

0:06:46 > 0:06:51There! Now we can stick this down onto the paper for our dog to chew.

0:06:54 > 0:06:58We're all finished! It's a fantastic foil dog.

0:06:58 > 0:07:00DOG BARKS

0:07:00 > 0:07:04You can make all sorts of foil animals in the same way.

0:07:04 > 0:07:07How about a fierce foil cat,

0:07:07 > 0:07:11using a round foil case and sparkly pipe cleaner whiskers?

0:07:11 > 0:07:15Or how about a mouse with a lump of cheese?

0:07:15 > 0:07:19Or you could try a spider with pipe cleaner legs.
