0:01:45 > 0:01:50Nice digger. Oh, we could use this.

0:01:50 > 0:01:51I love diggers.

0:01:53 > 0:01:57ENGINE STARTS

0:01:57 > 0:01:59HORN BLOWS

0:01:59 > 0:02:03Ha ha, that's just given me a great idea.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06Let's try something.

0:02:06 > 0:02:11Try making a tyre print picture by painting with an old toy.

0:02:11 > 0:02:18Let's make it. But, first we'll need somewhere to make it. Ha ha!

0:02:18 > 0:02:24Ha ha ha! And, we'll also need some other things from the doodle drawers.

0:02:24 > 0:02:25I'll be back soon.

0:02:28 > 0:02:32Some coloured paper, a glue stick and a pen...

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Some paint...

0:02:40 > 0:02:46We also need some paper plates. I know, I'll ask Scraps.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48Hello.

0:02:48 > 0:02:52Hello, Scraps. Now, we need some paper plates. Can you help?

0:02:55 > 0:03:01Wow! Ha ha! Right, give it, give it, give it.

0:03:02 > 0:03:03Thank you, Scraps.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06Ha ha!

0:03:06 > 0:03:08OK, then, Manuka.

0:03:08 > 0:03:12Let's make a tyre print picture, like this one here.

0:03:12 > 0:03:14Very colourful!

0:03:14 > 0:03:17- All right then, Manuka, are you ready?- Yes.

0:03:17 > 0:03:20Brilliant, are you ready?

0:03:20 > 0:03:22Fantastic. Let's get making.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24The first thing we're going to do

0:03:24 > 0:03:27is squeeze out some blobs of different coloured paint,

0:03:27 > 0:03:29onto some paper plates.

0:03:29 > 0:03:33We're going to use green, blue, pink and yellow.

0:03:33 > 0:03:37But, you can use whatever colours you like.

0:03:39 > 0:03:44Now for the fun bit, we're going to drive our digger through the paint,

0:03:44 > 0:03:47so the wheels get completely covered.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50We're also going to use a small tractor,

0:03:50 > 0:03:52but any toy with wheels will do the job.

0:03:52 > 0:03:58All right then, Manuka, let's get our toys all painty.

0:03:58 > 0:04:02Make sure they're loaded up with paint, please.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08Now we need to choose a sheet of background paper,

0:04:08 > 0:04:11you can choose whatever colour you like,

0:04:11 > 0:04:13but this can get a little bit messy.

0:04:13 > 0:04:16So, it's a good idea to put down some old paper first.

0:04:16 > 0:04:20We are going to drive our toys across the page

0:04:20 > 0:04:22to make painty tyre tracks.

0:04:22 > 0:04:26Let's start with the digger, can you pass me that digger, please?

0:04:30 > 0:04:34- Oho, brilliant.- Can we have some more paint on there, please?

0:04:42 > 0:04:44Let's try our tractor.

0:04:44 > 0:04:46Dip it in pink paint.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50Then, carry on printing.

0:04:50 > 0:04:55Remember, if you change paint colour make sure you clean the toy's wheels.

0:04:55 > 0:05:00And, when you are happy with your picture, leave it to dry.

0:05:00 > 0:05:04Now, we can bring in some coloured paper, like this.

0:05:04 > 0:05:09Put our digger on its side and then draw around it. Aha!

0:05:09 > 0:05:12And now, we can add in extra details, like windows,

0:05:12 > 0:05:15doors, and wheel shapes.

0:05:17 > 0:05:19Next, we can cut this out,

0:05:19 > 0:05:22- but we need to be careful because scissors are...- Sharp!

0:05:22 > 0:05:24That's right. Yes.

0:05:29 > 0:05:34Can you put some glue on the back of this, please, Manuka?

0:05:34 > 0:05:39Thank you, and now, we can bring our background paper back in

0:05:39 > 0:05:45and stick on the digger to make a terrific tyre print picture.

0:05:45 > 0:05:50And you can make all sorts of pictures like this in the same way.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53How about making a really whizzy print using toy cars?

0:05:53 > 0:05:57Or you could try printing with any toy that has wheels.

0:05:57 > 0:06:02- Tyre print pictures are great fun, aren't they, Manuka?- Yes.

0:06:02 > 0:06:06Brilliant, we made it. And now, your home is where the art is.
