0:00:44 > 0:00:46Oh, hello there! Great to see you again.

0:00:46 > 0:00:50I'm just drawing around this mug to make a cool pattern.

0:00:50 > 0:00:55Let's have a look. Oh! Very nice.

0:00:55 > 0:01:00It's great fun drawing around things, let's find something else.

0:01:00 > 0:01:03Now I'm a looking for a real challenge,

0:01:03 > 0:01:06something that I've not drawn round before.

0:01:06 > 0:01:09Ah-ha! Here's my dinosaur toy!

0:01:09 > 0:01:16Very cool, but I've already drawn round this. Here's my pasta jar,

0:01:16 > 0:01:18now this is great to draw round

0:01:18 > 0:01:21I know that because I've already drawn round it.

0:01:21 > 0:01:27Oh, look! Here's my mirror! Now this is great,

0:01:27 > 0:01:30but I've already drawn round that as well.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33Wait a minute... I've drawn round the mirror,

0:01:33 > 0:01:39but I haven't drawn round what's inside the mirror...me! Ha-ha!

0:01:39 > 0:01:43And that gives me a great idea.

0:01:43 > 0:01:45Let's try something.

0:01:45 > 0:01:49Try turning yourself into a full-size pirate

0:01:49 > 0:01:52by drawing around your body. Ah! Ha-ha!

0:01:52 > 0:01:56Let's make it! We'll need some things from the Doodle Drawers.

0:01:56 > 0:01:57Come on!

0:01:59 > 0:02:02A large sheet, or roll, of paper.

0:02:02 > 0:02:07A pencil and some sticky tape.

0:02:07 > 0:02:11A thick black pen.

0:02:11 > 0:02:15And some paints.

0:02:15 > 0:02:21Now to turn yourself into whatever you want, like this fantastic

0:02:21 > 0:02:23Mister Maker-sized pirate here.

0:02:24 > 0:02:29Start off by laying down your paper.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32Now you might want to stick a few bits of paper together

0:02:32 > 0:02:35to make sure that it's big enough.

0:02:35 > 0:02:38Or you could use a roll of old wallpaper.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41Either way, use some sticky tape to stick it down.

0:02:41 > 0:02:48Now you have to ask a friend to draw round you, Come on, Magic Pencil,

0:02:48 > 0:02:49there's work to do.

0:02:49 > 0:02:53Now lie down on the paper, making sure that you keep

0:02:53 > 0:02:57all of your arms and legs inside.

0:03:01 > 0:03:05Ho-ho! Ha-ha! He-he-he!

0:03:12 > 0:03:14Thanks, Magic Pencil.

0:03:14 > 0:03:18When you've got your pencil line drawn round your whole body,

0:03:18 > 0:03:19jump up again!

0:03:21 > 0:03:24Now you can turn yourself into whatever you like!

0:03:24 > 0:03:29But this is going to be a pirate. Ah-ha! Now you might find this

0:03:29 > 0:03:32easier to do if you stick your picture up on a wall

0:03:32 > 0:03:34with some sticky tack.

0:03:34 > 0:03:38But make sure you ask permission first from an adult.

0:03:42 > 0:03:43Ho-ho!

0:03:43 > 0:03:46Now take a black pen and start to draw a pirate

0:03:46 > 0:03:50using your outline as a guide.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52How about a spotty headscarf?

0:03:52 > 0:03:55Don't worry if you draw over your pencil lines,

0:03:55 > 0:03:58you're going to rub them out later, anyway. There!

0:03:58 > 0:04:02And pirates always have one patch over an eye.

0:04:02 > 0:04:06Fill in the rest of the face with scraggy hair, and an ear ring!

0:04:08 > 0:04:12We could also add a nice pirate top.

0:04:13 > 0:04:17How about drawing on a pirate's hook? Remember, don't worry about

0:04:17 > 0:04:22the pencil lines underneath, they're just there as a guide.

0:04:22 > 0:04:26So there's going to be a hook where there once was a hand.

0:04:26 > 0:04:27Now some trousers!

0:04:27 > 0:04:30And on one foot, a nice black boot.

0:04:30 > 0:04:33And on the other a pirate's peg-leg!

0:04:33 > 0:04:39Wow! Fantastic! Now we can paint it.

0:04:39 > 0:04:44Remember to rub out all the pencil lines that you don't need first.

0:04:44 > 0:04:48How about painting your pirate with a red and white stripy top?

0:04:48 > 0:04:53A black and white spotty headscarf and some blue trousers.

0:04:55 > 0:04:59And when you've painted the whole thing, and it's dry,

0:04:59 > 0:05:03you can cut it out. But be careful, scissors are sharp. Ha-ha!

0:05:03 > 0:05:05Ooh! Ha-ha!

0:05:05 > 0:05:11Wow! Fantastic! Your very own pirate. Ha-ha, me hearties!

0:05:11 > 0:05:16And remember, you can turn yourself into absolutely anything.

0:05:16 > 0:05:23Ooh! This picture of me as a spaceman is out of this world.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25Ooh! Look at this!

0:05:25 > 0:05:30It's me as a brilliant, and quite beautiful, ballerina

0:05:30 > 0:05:34I think I look rather good, actually. I'd be a great ballerina!

0:05:34 > 0:05:37Watch! Ooh!

0:05:39 > 0:05:40CRASHING

0:05:42 > 0:05:45Oh, those shapes will sleep through anything!

0:07:49 > 0:07:56some glue, a brush, a fluffy pompom, a paper bowl, a paper plate,

0:07:56 > 0:08:01a clear plastic tub, and a piece of wool. We'll also need some

0:08:05 > 0:08:07I'll be back in a tick.

0:08:10 > 0:08:11I've got them.

0:08:13 > 0:08:15Here are our googly eyes.

0:08:15 > 0:08:20Now, do you think it's possible to make this in just one minute?

0:08:20 > 0:08:22No way!

0:08:22 > 0:08:25Well, mu feathered friend, we're about to find out.

0:08:25 > 0:08:28I'm going to have to be very quick,

0:08:28 > 0:08:33but I'll remind you how to do it at the end. Let's make it in a minute!

0:08:33 > 0:08:35Let's get our bowl.

0:08:35 > 0:08:39And put on lots of gloopy glue.

0:08:39 > 0:08:41All around the edge.

0:08:41 > 0:08:45And put on plenty, because that's going to help us

0:08:45 > 0:08:47stick it to our paper plate.

0:08:47 > 0:08:50Turn the bowl upside down like that.

0:08:50 > 0:08:53Then stick it on. That's going to make our spaceship.

0:08:53 > 0:08:57Now we get our pompom, dip that in the glue

0:08:57 > 0:08:59then glue that on top

0:08:59 > 0:09:01then we need to get our googly eyes

0:09:01 > 0:09:04and stick those on.

0:09:04 > 0:09:06Our alien is going to have three eyes.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08There's one.

0:09:30 > 0:09:31Nice!

0:09:31 > 0:09:37That was close but I made a flying saucer in a minute.

0:09:37 > 0:09:41If you've got more than a minute, you can paint and decorate it

0:09:41 > 0:09:45however you like. You could paint it silver, add colour stickers

0:09:45 > 0:09:47and make it stand out with a black pen.

0:09:47 > 0:09:50Why not make a really big flying saucer

0:09:50 > 0:09:53for lots of aliens using a bigger plate and bigger bowl?

0:09:53 > 0:09:57A flying saucer made in a minute. Why don't you try it?

0:09:57 > 0:10:00Here's a reminder of how to do it.

0:10:00 > 0:10:04Let's go back to the beginning and take another look.

0:10:05 > 0:10:07Glue round the edge of a paper bowl

0:10:07 > 0:10:10and stick it to a paper plate. Glue on a pompom,

0:10:10 > 0:10:15stick on googly eyes, then glue a plastic tub on the pompom.

0:10:15 > 0:10:20Finally, tape wool to the top to complete your flying saucer.

0:10:23 > 0:10:25Why don't you try making it in a minute?

0:10:25 > 0:10:28We're here, Mister Maker!

0:10:28 > 0:10:31- Hello, everyone. - Watch this!

0:11:25 > 0:11:27- Frame it! - CLICK!

0:11:27 > 0:11:29Now take a look at this.

0:11:32 > 0:11:34What a brilliant dragon picture.

0:11:34 > 0:11:37It's great fun to do and makes a picture so good

0:11:37 > 0:11:39you'll be able to frame it.

0:11:39 > 0:11:43You'll need coloured paper, some craft foam, a pencil,

0:11:43 > 0:11:47scissors, a glue stick, googly eyes and sparkly gems.

0:11:47 > 0:11:51For the dragon's body, draw a teardrop shape

0:11:51 > 0:11:53on craft foam with a pencil.

0:11:53 > 0:11:58Then draw your dragon some hands and feet like this.

0:11:58 > 0:12:03Next, draw some big triangle shapes for the dragon's spikes

0:12:03 > 0:12:05and smaller ones for teeth.

0:12:06 > 0:12:08Now on a different coloured piece of foam

0:12:08 > 0:12:11draw a mouth shape

0:12:11 > 0:12:13and some circles.

0:12:13 > 0:12:17Carefully cut out your foam shapes

0:12:18 > 0:12:21and stick them down to make a dragon.

0:12:28 > 0:12:32And finally, add some shiny gems

0:12:32 > 0:12:36and googly eyes to finish off your dragon.

0:12:38 > 0:12:41What a brilliant picture! Why don't you have a go?

0:12:41 > 0:12:45And then...frame it!

0:12:46 > 0:12:49Fantastic!

0:12:49 > 0:12:51Now where is it?

0:12:51 > 0:12:54It must be in here some...a-ha!

0:12:54 > 0:12:57Here it is. My crown!

0:12:57 > 0:13:00Look at that!

0:13:00 > 0:13:05Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a king or a queen?

0:13:05 > 0:13:11I have. If I was a king, I'd have a crown and some kingly robes.

0:13:11 > 0:13:15Ooh, and I'd have a fantastic throne.

0:13:15 > 0:13:21Oh-ho! And I'd have all the adoring people of Maker Land.

0:13:21 > 0:13:26- Hello, adoring people of Maker Land! - CHEERING

0:13:27 > 0:13:32Yes, I'd have everything to make me into a brilliant king.

0:13:33 > 0:13:36But wait a minute, I've forgotten something.

0:13:36 > 0:13:40Every queen and king needs a castle.

0:13:40 > 0:13:43Where am I going to get a castle from? A castle.

0:13:43 > 0:13:47A castle... Ooh, a castle!

0:13:47 > 0:13:49That gives me a great idea.

0:13:49 > 0:13:51Let's make something.

0:13:52 > 0:13:55Try making a castle keeper

0:13:55 > 0:13:58to protect all of your special things.

0:13:58 > 0:14:02Let's make it! I better get changed first.

0:14:04 > 0:14:08We need to get some things from the Doodle Drawers.

0:14:09 > 0:14:13- An empty teabag box. - CREAKING

0:14:15 > 0:14:18Four kitchen roll tubes.

0:14:20 > 0:14:24An empty plastic food tray.

0:14:25 > 0:14:28Ah-ha! Some paint!

0:14:31 > 0:14:36Some gloopy PVA glue, a pair of scissors and a black pen.

0:14:36 > 0:14:37Whoa!

0:14:37 > 0:14:42Now, to make your very own Castle Keeper, like this one here,

0:14:42 > 0:14:47which is very useful for keeping all of your special bits and pieces in,

0:14:47 > 0:14:51you need to start off with a plastic food tray.

0:14:51 > 0:14:54You need to get an adult to help you find one of these

0:14:54 > 0:14:56and thoroughly clean it out.

0:14:56 > 0:14:59Then, turn it upside down, like this,

0:14:59 > 0:15:04because this is going to be the hill that the castle sits on top of.

0:15:04 > 0:15:08Then get your teabag box and sit it on top,

0:15:08 > 0:15:13and make sure that the front flap opens like this.

0:15:13 > 0:15:16Now we're going to get our four kitchen roll tubes

0:15:16 > 0:15:19and place them in each corner - that's here.

0:15:22 > 0:15:25Now everything looks in the right position,

0:15:25 > 0:15:27I can glue everything in place.

0:15:31 > 0:15:33When it's dry,

0:15:33 > 0:15:37you can paint the castle. Grey looks really, really good,

0:15:37 > 0:15:39and you can even paint

0:15:39 > 0:15:43some dark grey rectangles to look like big stone bricks.

0:15:50 > 0:15:54Now don't forget to paint the hill.

0:15:54 > 0:15:58This hill is going to be grassy green and will need

0:15:58 > 0:16:01a special mixture that's half gloopy glue

0:16:01 > 0:16:03and half paint.

0:16:06 > 0:16:08Let's give it a mix.

0:16:08 > 0:16:10SQUELCHING

0:16:10 > 0:16:14There! Now this will help our special painty mixture

0:16:14 > 0:16:17really stick onto the plastic tray.

0:16:21 > 0:16:23Now, to make the top of the turrets,

0:16:23 > 0:16:26that's these bits here,

0:16:26 > 0:16:30we need to cut six snips

0:16:30 > 0:16:32at the top of each kitchen roll tube.

0:16:32 > 0:16:36Now be careful because scissors are sharp.

0:16:36 > 0:16:38- SNARLING - Ho-ho! Yes.

0:16:38 > 0:16:41Let's start with this tube here.

0:16:41 > 0:16:43There's one...

0:16:43 > 0:16:46GUNSHOTS

0:16:46 > 0:16:48There. Six snips.

0:16:48 > 0:16:52Let's put the scissors down. Now we're going to bend inside

0:16:52 > 0:16:54one of these flaps.

0:16:54 > 0:16:57Bend one down, like that,

0:16:57 > 0:16:59and then leave the next one standing up.

0:16:59 > 0:17:01Push the next one down,

0:17:01 > 0:17:04leave the next one up,

0:17:04 > 0:17:06and then push that one down.

0:17:06 > 0:17:08That gives us our turrets.

0:17:08 > 0:17:12Now let's do the same on all of the other kitchen roll tubes.

0:17:16 > 0:17:20Next, we can add some extra details with a black pen.

0:17:20 > 0:17:24Add a door, some windows and brick details.

0:17:24 > 0:17:28You can even add some light and dark green paint to look like moss.

0:17:28 > 0:17:29But it's up to you!

0:17:29 > 0:17:33You can add as much detail or as little as you like.

0:17:39 > 0:17:43Wow! It's your very own Castle Keeper!

0:17:43 > 0:17:47- There it is. So let's open it up. - CREAKING

0:17:47 > 0:17:50You can keep whatever you like inside.

0:17:50 > 0:17:54- Like all your arty bits and bobs. - CREAKING

0:17:54 > 0:17:56Perfect! Very useful.

0:17:56 > 0:18:01And you can even try to make some other types of castles as well.

0:18:01 > 0:18:04How about making a fairytale castle

0:18:04 > 0:18:07using two boxes and painting it pink and purple?

0:18:07 > 0:18:10Or even... Whoo!

0:18:10 > 0:18:14..a really big castle with three boxes

0:18:14 > 0:18:16and lots of short tubes!

0:18:16 > 0:18:18Ho-ho! I really like this one.
