0:00:38 > 0:00:41# Makey Mister Maker Mister Maker. #
0:00:42 > 0:00:46Whoa! Oh...oh...careful, careful!
0:00:46 > 0:00:51Hello there! Great to see you... Oh! I nearly dropped it then!
0:00:51 > 0:00:55Have a look at this. It's my ginormous jelly mountain!
0:00:55 > 0:00:58I just got it from my local jelly superstore.
0:00:58 > 0:01:03Now, if I put it down here, it'll be nice...and...safe!
0:01:03 > 0:01:05Ooh...! Oh!
0:01:05 > 0:01:10There was the odd wobble, but look! I haven't dropped a jot of jelly!
0:01:10 > 0:01:12And I tell you what,
0:01:12 > 0:01:16my jelly mountain has given me a wonderful, w-w-wobbly idea!
0:01:16 > 0:01:19Let's try something!
0:01:20 > 0:01:25Try making your very own wonderful, wobbly picture.
0:01:25 > 0:01:29Let's make it. We'll need some things from the doodle drawers.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34A plastic plant pot,
0:01:35 > 0:01:39some pipe cleaners,
0:01:41 > 0:01:43some coloured card,
0:01:45 > 0:01:49a felt-tip pen and some scissors,
0:01:50 > 0:01:53and some sticky tape.
0:01:53 > 0:01:57Whoa! You'll also need some air-drying clay,
0:01:57 > 0:02:00which you can get from an art and crafts shop.
0:02:00 > 0:02:01I'll be back in a tick.
0:02:05 > 0:02:07I've got it, ha-ha!
0:02:08 > 0:02:13There's my air-drying clay, I'll put it there, for later.
0:02:13 > 0:02:18Now, to make a wonderful, wobbly picture like this one here,
0:02:18 > 0:02:20get a piece of coloured paper
0:02:20 > 0:02:25and draw whatever you want to wobble in your picture.
0:02:25 > 0:02:30But this is going to be a bird flying in the clouds.
0:02:30 > 0:02:33First, draw a bird shape.
0:02:36 > 0:02:38There we go, a lovely bird shape.
0:02:38 > 0:02:42Now, how about we get some white paper
0:02:42 > 0:02:45and draw two fluffy cloud shapes.
0:02:46 > 0:02:48Now, it's a good idea
0:02:48 > 0:02:52if one of the cloud shapes is smaller than the other.
0:02:53 > 0:02:56And lastly, let's get some yellow paper
0:02:56 > 0:02:58cos we're going to draw a yellow sun.
0:02:58 > 0:03:01For that, we need to draw a circle.
0:03:01 > 0:03:04Now here's a good tip, if you want to draw a circle
0:03:04 > 0:03:07draw around something that's round.
0:03:07 > 0:03:10When you've drawn all of your shapes, cut them out.
0:03:10 > 0:03:13But be careful, scissors are sharp.
0:03:13 > 0:03:15GROWLING
0:03:19 > 0:03:24Next, get some pipe cleaners that match the colour of your shapes.
0:03:24 > 0:03:29So that will be a grey pipe cleaner for the bird,
0:03:29 > 0:03:32two white pipe cleaners for our fluffy clouds,
0:03:32 > 0:03:36and a yellow pipe cleaner for our sun.
0:03:36 > 0:03:38Let's turn over our shapes now,
0:03:38 > 0:03:44and then stick on our pipe cleaners to the back with sticky tape.
0:03:48 > 0:03:51Next, wedge a ball of air-drying clay -
0:03:55 > 0:03:59here we go - into a plastic plant pot.
0:03:59 > 0:04:01There you go, this small one will work.
0:04:01 > 0:04:05Let's put it in. You have to push and squeeze quite firmly.
0:04:05 > 0:04:08Right, that's in there OK.
0:04:08 > 0:04:10Now it's time for the fun part.
0:04:10 > 0:04:13We're going to make a wobbly picture.
0:04:13 > 0:04:16You can arrange your pieces however you like,
0:04:16 > 0:04:21but how about we put the bird flying in front of the clouds,
0:04:21 > 0:04:23with the sun in the background.
0:04:23 > 0:04:27Now, to do that, let's get our big cloud first,
0:04:27 > 0:04:31and we're going to push it into the back of the clay, here.
0:04:31 > 0:04:34Now let's get our sun,
0:04:34 > 0:04:38and we can push that just in front of the big cloud.
0:04:38 > 0:04:42Now, it's a good idea, as you arrange your different pieces,
0:04:42 > 0:04:46to make the pieces nearer the front slightly shorter.
0:04:46 > 0:04:49Let's get our bird and small cloud
0:04:49 > 0:04:51and just very, very carefully
0:04:51 > 0:04:54snip a bit off the bottom of the pipe cleaner.
0:04:55 > 0:04:58And about the same off the little cloud.
0:04:58 > 0:05:01Let's push our little cloud in next,
0:05:01 > 0:05:03just in front of the sun.
0:05:03 > 0:05:07Because it's shorter, it means we can see all of the pieces.
0:05:07 > 0:05:10And now, last but not least,
0:05:10 > 0:05:13let's put our bird flying in front of the clouds.
0:05:13 > 0:05:17Now, gently bend the pipe cleaners so we can see everything.
0:05:17 > 0:05:19Look at this!
0:05:19 > 0:05:22It's a wonderful, wobbly picture!
0:05:22 > 0:05:26And you can make all sorts of pictures wobble.
0:05:26 > 0:05:27How about...
0:05:27 > 0:05:32a wobbly aeroplane flying through a wobbly sky?
0:05:34 > 0:05:37An underwater wobbly sea picture,
0:05:37 > 0:05:40with lots of wobbly fish and wobbly seaweed?
0:05:40 > 0:05:41Or even,
0:05:41 > 0:05:44a sunflower, with a wobbly bee?
0:05:44 > 0:05:48And those pictures remind me of my jelly, here!
0:05:48 > 0:05:52Ha-ha-ha! All w-w-wibbly and w-w-wobbly!
0:05:52 > 0:05:57Ha-ha! Ooh... Oh, no, not a sneeze now...!
0:05:57 > 0:05:59Aaah...choo!
0:05:59 > 0:06:01My jelly!
0:06:03 > 0:06:05ENGINE SPLUTTERS
0:06:05 > 0:06:06SCREECHING
0:06:06 > 0:06:08SPLODGE!
0:06:08 > 0:06:10HE STAMMERS
0:06:11 > 0:06:12Oh...!
0:06:12 > 0:06:16Oh, I've got jelly everywhere!
0:06:16 > 0:06:18I'll just sort that out!
0:06:19 > 0:06:21Oh, there, that's better!
0:06:21 > 0:06:24Ha-ha...! Ooh, what's that noise?
0:06:24 > 0:06:29Oh, it's coming from the shelves. We know what THAT is!
0:06:29 > 0:06:34That's right, it's those sleeping shapes!
0:06:34 > 0:06:36THEY SNORE
0:06:36 > 0:06:38Let's wake them up!
0:06:38 > 0:06:42THEY MURMUR
0:06:42 > 0:06:44Ooh... Aah!
0:06:44 > 0:06:46GIGGLES
0:06:46 > 0:06:50Whoa, hey, ha-ha...yes!
0:06:58 > 0:07:01# I am a shape La-la-la-la
0:07:03 > 0:07:05# I am a shape La-la-la-la
0:07:08 > 0:07:10# I am a circle
0:07:12 > 0:07:15# I am a triangle
0:07:17 > 0:07:19# I am a square
0:07:22 > 0:07:24# I am a rectangle
0:07:27 > 0:07:29# I am a shape
0:07:30 > 0:07:32# I am a square. #
0:07:34 > 0:07:37How many squares can you see?
0:07:37 > 0:07:381...
0:07:38 > 0:07:402...
0:07:40 > 0:07:413...
0:07:41 > 0:07:434...
0:07:43 > 0:07:455...
0:07:45 > 0:07:476...
0:07:47 > 0:07:487...
0:07:48 > 0:07:508!
0:07:50 > 0:07:53That's right. There are eight squares!
0:07:53 > 0:07:54Well done, Square!
0:07:54 > 0:07:56Time to get back on the shelf!
0:07:57 > 0:07:59Wheeee-hee-hee!
0:07:59 > 0:08:01THEY LAUGH
0:08:01 > 0:08:03Ooh, ooh, ooh!
0:08:06 > 0:08:09THEY MUTTER AND YAWN
0:08:09 > 0:08:13That was great. The shapes are brilliant, aren't they?
0:08:13 > 0:08:14BOING!
0:08:14 > 0:08:17Tocky, here. Minute make time!
0:08:17 > 0:08:19Ooh! It's minute make time!
0:08:21 > 0:08:23CROWD CHEERS
0:08:23 > 0:08:25Here's what we're going to make today,
0:08:25 > 0:08:27a super sock creature!
0:08:27 > 0:08:32To make a sock creature you will need a long colourful sock,
0:08:32 > 0:08:34a pair of scissors,
0:08:34 > 0:08:35a black pen,
0:08:35 > 0:08:37some white stickers,
0:08:37 > 0:08:40and an old empty plastic bottle.
0:08:40 > 0:08:44You might want to get an adult to help find one of these and clean it.
0:08:44 > 0:08:48Do you think it's possible to make this in one minute?
0:08:48 > 0:08:50No way!
0:08:50 > 0:08:52Put a sock in it, Tocky!
0:08:52 > 0:08:55I'm just kidding, you can cheer me on!
0:08:55 > 0:08:58And you can too. I'm gonna have to be very quick,
0:08:58 > 0:09:02but don't worry, I'll remind you how to do it at the end.
0:09:02 > 0:09:04Ready? Let's make it, in a minute!
0:09:04 > 0:09:05Start the sock!
0:09:05 > 0:09:07Yes, very funny(!)
0:09:07 > 0:09:09DING!
0:09:09 > 0:09:11Let's get our bottle and our long sock,
0:09:11 > 0:09:14and start rolling it up, there we go.
0:09:14 > 0:09:16Up it goes, as quick as we can.
0:09:16 > 0:09:18When it's all rolled up,
0:09:18 > 0:09:22we're going to feed it carefully on to the bottle,
0:09:22 > 0:09:24like that, there we go.
0:09:24 > 0:09:26Brill! There it is.
0:09:26 > 0:09:27Great.
0:09:30 > 0:09:34There we go. Now if we pull the toe out we can make snips,
0:09:34 > 0:09:37very carefully, in the end, there's one,
0:09:37 > 0:09:41there's two, now these are going to be the hair...
0:09:41 > 0:09:43Halfway!
0:09:43 > 0:09:45..there's another bit there,
0:09:45 > 0:09:47another snip, fantastic.
0:09:47 > 0:09:51And now I'm going to tie the two end ones, like this,
0:09:51 > 0:09:53round and round they go, brilliant.
0:09:53 > 0:09:57That makes the hair, and that heel bit makes his mouth.
0:09:57 > 0:10:01If I get two white stickers and draw dots on them
0:10:01 > 0:10:04these are going to be the eyes.
0:10:04 > 0:10:05Let's stick them on,
0:10:05 > 0:10:07there's one eye,
0:10:07 > 0:10:09and there's the other eye!
0:10:09 > 0:10:11- HOOTER - I've done it!
0:10:11 > 0:10:12Only just!
0:10:12 > 0:10:15And if you've got more than a minute,
0:10:15 > 0:10:20you can try different coloured sock creatures, with different socks!
0:10:20 > 0:10:25Look at this one, here! It's got different coloured stripes.
0:10:25 > 0:10:29Or you could use a small sock and bottle, to make a little creature.
0:10:29 > 0:10:32Sock creatures made in a minute!
0:10:32 > 0:10:36Why don't you try making one? Here's a reminder of how.
0:10:37 > 0:10:41Let's go back to the beginning and take another look.
0:10:41 > 0:10:43Slide a sock over a bottle,
0:10:43 > 0:10:47cut the top of the sock into strips, and tie them together,
0:10:47 > 0:10:51give it eyes using white stickers with black dots,
0:10:51 > 0:10:54and your crazy sock creature is finished!
0:10:56 > 0:11:00Why don't you try making it in a minute?!
0:11:00 > 0:11:03- ALL: We're here, Mister Maker! - Oh, hello!
0:11:03 > 0:11:06- Watch this! - I wonder what they're up to?
0:11:06 > 0:11:08THEY ALL LAUGH
0:11:12 > 0:11:14I'm dark blue.
0:11:25 > 0:11:26I'm light blue.
0:11:29 > 0:11:31I am orange!
0:11:39 > 0:11:41ALL: It's a pen!
0:11:41 > 0:11:44Well done, everybody! See you soon!
0:11:44 > 0:11:46Now it's time to frame it!
0:11:48 > 0:11:49Frame it!
0:11:50 > 0:11:52Frame it!
0:11:53 > 0:11:56Now, take a look at this.
0:11:56 > 0:12:00This watery fish picture is very easy to do,
0:12:00 > 0:12:03but looks so good you'll be able to frame it.
0:12:03 > 0:12:07You need white paper, coloured felt-tips, a paintbrush,
0:12:07 > 0:12:09and some water.
0:12:09 > 0:12:13Start by drawing some green seaweed in the corners,
0:12:14 > 0:12:17some yellow sand at the bottom,
0:12:17 > 0:12:20and now draw and colour a fish in the middle.
0:12:21 > 0:12:25Then colour in the rest of the picture to make the sea.
0:12:27 > 0:12:29Here's the magic part.
0:12:29 > 0:12:33Dip a paintbrush in water, and brush over your pen drawing.
0:12:33 > 0:12:36Look how the colours start to run.
0:12:37 > 0:12:40Leave it until it's nearly dry,
0:12:40 > 0:12:45and draw round the outline of your fish to finish your picture!
0:12:46 > 0:12:49What a brilliant picture! Why don't you have a go?
0:12:49 > 0:12:52And then...frame it!
0:12:54 > 0:12:56Fantastic!
0:12:56 > 0:12:58Now, take a look at this.
0:12:58 > 0:13:00I've got something to show you.
0:13:03 > 0:13:05SPLODGE!
0:13:05 > 0:13:07Prepare to be amazed!
0:13:10 > 0:13:14These are my footprints and they've got a mind of their own!
0:13:15 > 0:13:17Go on, then, off you go!
0:13:23 > 0:13:27Can you guess what the footprints are making?
0:13:29 > 0:13:31Any ideas yet?
0:13:36 > 0:13:38Oh, a dinosaur!
0:13:38 > 0:13:40Well done, footprints!
0:13:40 > 0:13:43I don't know about you, but I'm thirsty.
0:13:44 > 0:13:46Ho-ho! Delicious!
0:13:46 > 0:13:49- HE SLURPS - Aaaah! Ha-ha-ha!
0:13:49 > 0:13:51Lovely! Ooop...!
0:13:51 > 0:13:53OH NO!
0:13:53 > 0:13:56Oh, oh, what a mess!
0:13:56 > 0:14:00Oh, I tell you what, though. This has given me a great idea!
0:14:01 > 0:14:03Let's make something!
0:14:03 > 0:14:07Fool your friends into thinking you've made a mess,
0:14:07 > 0:14:10by making this fantastic fake spilt drink!
0:14:10 > 0:14:14Let's make it. We'll need some things from the doodle drawers!
0:14:16 > 0:14:22Some gloopy PVA glue, sticky-backed plastic and cardboard.
0:14:23 > 0:14:28Some red modelling clay, a paintbrush, and a straw.
0:14:30 > 0:14:34A plastic glass, and some paint!
0:14:34 > 0:14:39Ho-ho! Now, to make your very own hilarious spilt drink,
0:14:39 > 0:14:41like this one here,
0:14:41 > 0:14:44you first have to mix up a drink-coloured mixture.
0:14:44 > 0:14:47You can choose whatever you like
0:14:47 > 0:14:50but I think strawberry milkshake looks rather good.
0:14:50 > 0:14:52Now, to make that mixture,
0:14:52 > 0:14:54you need a cup,
0:14:54 > 0:14:56add red paint,
0:14:56 > 0:15:00and the same amount of white paint, and on top of that
0:15:00 > 0:15:02a squirt of gloopy glue.
0:15:02 > 0:15:04Now, let's give it a mix.
0:15:06 > 0:15:09That looks all nicely mixed up.
0:15:09 > 0:15:11A nice pink milkshake mixture.
0:15:11 > 0:15:17Let's put that to one side, we're going to bring in our cardboard.
0:15:17 > 0:15:21Now we take our sticky-backed plastic,
0:15:21 > 0:15:24and put this on top of the cardboard.
0:15:24 > 0:15:26Now here's a good tip.
0:15:26 > 0:15:31If you just fold back the top edge of the sticky-backed plastic,
0:15:31 > 0:15:34this will help you stick it on.
0:15:34 > 0:15:38So we can line it up with the top of the cardboard,
0:15:38 > 0:15:43and then smooth it down, like that.
0:15:43 > 0:15:45Now this is a bit fiddly,
0:15:45 > 0:15:48so it's a good idea to ask an adult to help you.
0:15:48 > 0:15:51That's the top bit stuck down,
0:15:51 > 0:15:54and now I'm going to hold that top bit with one hand
0:15:54 > 0:15:58and then, with the other hand, reach underneath
0:15:58 > 0:16:00and pull away the rest of the backing.
0:16:00 > 0:16:02That looks really good,
0:16:02 > 0:16:06which means we can bring back in our milkshake mixture.
0:16:06 > 0:16:11We're going to pour a good dollop of this, almost all of the mixture,
0:16:11 > 0:16:12but not quite all of it.
0:16:12 > 0:16:15Now you can take a paintbrush,
0:16:15 > 0:16:20turn it upside down and use the other end to drag through the paint
0:16:20 > 0:16:23to look like milkshake has spilt everywhere!
0:16:26 > 0:16:28Excellent!
0:16:28 > 0:16:31Now using the rest of your painty mixture,
0:16:31 > 0:16:34we're going to paint a dribbly spill shape
0:16:34 > 0:16:38on the inside of a plastic milkshake glass.
0:16:43 > 0:16:46And when you've finished that,
0:16:46 > 0:16:49you can bring back in your spill
0:16:49 > 0:16:54and push the plastic glass
