0:00:02 > 0:00:03# Mister Maker, ooh la-la-la-la
0:00:03 > 0:00:04# Mister Maker
0:00:07 > 0:00:09# Ooh la-la-la-la
0:00:09 > 0:00:10# Mister Maker
0:00:12 > 0:00:14# Ooh la-la-la-la
0:00:14 > 0:00:16# M-m-make it, Mister Maker
0:00:18 > 0:00:19# Ooh la-la-la-la
0:00:19 > 0:00:21# M-m-m-make it
0:00:23 > 0:00:25# Ooh la-la-la-la
0:00:25 > 0:00:27# M-m-make it, Mister Maker
0:00:29 > 0:00:30# Ooh la-la-la-la
0:00:30 > 0:00:32# M-m-make it, Mister Maker
0:00:34 > 0:00:36# Ooh la-la-la-la
0:00:36 > 0:00:38# Make it, Mister Maker
0:00:38 > 0:00:40# Make it, Mister Maker. #
0:00:43 > 0:00:45Hello there! Great to see you again.
0:00:45 > 0:00:50Let's see what the weather's like today. I can't wait to get outside!
0:00:52 > 0:00:56Oh, no! What a horrible storm.
0:00:56 > 0:01:00Oh, I wish I was somewhere nice and hot and sunny.
0:01:01 > 0:01:05I'd love to go to a magical holiday island,
0:01:05 > 0:01:08where there was lots of ice-cream,
0:01:08 > 0:01:12sunshine and fresh coconuts from the trees.
0:01:15 > 0:01:18Oh!
0:01:19 > 0:01:22Mmm-mm. What a wonderful dream, eh?
0:01:22 > 0:01:27Wait a minute, though! We don't have to dream!
0:01:27 > 0:01:32We can make the sand, the sunshine and the magical island come to us!
0:01:32 > 0:01:35I've just had a great idea.
0:01:35 > 0:01:37Let's try something!
0:01:38 > 0:01:41Try making a terrific tropical picture
0:01:41 > 0:01:44using sand and gloopy glue.
0:01:44 > 0:01:49Let's make it! We need some things from the doodle drawers. Come on!
0:01:51 > 0:01:54Some food colouring and a spoon.
0:01:59 > 0:02:02Some gloopy PVA glue and a pen.
0:02:06 > 0:02:09And some thick card.
0:02:10 > 0:02:13Ooh! Now, we'll also need some play sand,
0:02:13 > 0:02:15which you can get from a toy shop,
0:02:15 > 0:02:19and some icing bags, which you can get from a supermarket.
0:02:19 > 0:02:21I'll be back in two ticks.
0:02:23 > 0:02:25CAR STARTS, BELL TINGS
0:02:25 > 0:02:27I've got them!
0:02:28 > 0:02:32Here we go. There's my icing bag, I'm going to put that there,
0:02:32 > 0:02:36and the play sand, put that down nice and safe.
0:02:36 > 0:02:38Now, I've got plans for those later,
0:02:38 > 0:02:43but for now, take a look at this brilliant sand picture!
0:02:43 > 0:02:44It's amazing.
0:02:44 > 0:02:49And to make it, we need to separate our sand into four separate bowls,
0:02:49 > 0:02:52that look a bit like this.
0:02:52 > 0:02:55Now, into each bowl we need to put two cups of sand.
0:02:58 > 0:02:59One,
0:02:59 > 0:03:03two, and do the same in the other bowls.
0:03:03 > 0:03:06We're going to add some food colouring to each bowl.
0:03:06 > 0:03:12You can choose whatever colours you like, but I'm going to add...
0:03:12 > 0:03:15yellow, blue...
0:03:17 > 0:03:19..green,
0:03:19 > 0:03:21and I'm also going to mix up brown,
0:03:21 > 0:03:26by adding a bit of green and a bit of red.
0:03:26 > 0:03:29Now remember, the more food colouring you add,
0:03:29 > 0:03:32the stronger your colour will be.
0:03:37 > 0:03:40Now we're going to add gloopy glue to each bowl.
0:03:44 > 0:03:46Now we can start mixing.
0:03:46 > 0:03:51You need to make sure your mixture will squeeze through an icing bag,
0:03:51 > 0:03:53but don't make it too runny.
0:03:53 > 0:03:54There!
0:03:54 > 0:04:00Now we're going to scoop sand from each bowl into an icing bag.
0:04:00 > 0:04:05If you find this tricky, you might want to ask an adult to help you.
0:04:06 > 0:04:09Make sure you use a different bag for each colour.
0:04:12 > 0:04:13There we go.
0:04:13 > 0:04:17Now we need to draw a picture on some coloured card.
0:04:17 > 0:04:22This blue card will make a nice sky for our tropical island.
0:04:27 > 0:04:29Now let's colour it in!
0:04:29 > 0:04:33Use the yellow icing bag to colour in the island and the sun.
0:04:35 > 0:04:39Gently squeeze out the mixture to fill in your picture.
0:04:41 > 0:04:46Again, if you find this tricky, ask an adult to help you.
0:04:47 > 0:04:52Now use the brown sandy mixture to fill in the trunk and the coconuts.
0:04:52 > 0:04:57We can use the blue mixture to colour in the sea. Hee-hee!
0:05:00 > 0:05:03And lastly, the green sandy mixture,
0:05:03 > 0:05:07we can use for the leaves on the palm tree.
0:05:12 > 0:05:16And look! It's all done!
0:05:16 > 0:05:19Now all we need to do is leave it to dry overnight.
0:05:19 > 0:05:21Night!
0:05:27 > 0:05:29Morning!
0:05:29 > 0:05:33And when it's dry, it'll be nice and hard, like this.
0:05:33 > 0:05:37It's a terrific tropical island, made out of sand.
0:05:37 > 0:05:41But you don't just have to make an island. Oh, no!
0:05:41 > 0:05:46How about making a red and black crab on yellow sand?
0:05:46 > 0:05:52Or even a magical purple and pink castle, on glittery grass?
0:05:52 > 0:05:55Fantastic! Why don't you try it?
0:05:56 > 0:06:00Oh, no, it's still raining outside.
0:06:00 > 0:06:04Oh, well. At least it's not raining in here!
0:06:04 > 0:06:08Ooh! Ow! Oh, no, not again!
0:06:08 > 0:06:11Oh! Oh! Oh, no! It's raining coconuts!
0:06:11 > 0:06:15Ow! Oh! Oh! Stop it! Ow!
0:06:15 > 0:06:17I'm getting out of here!
0:06:18 > 0:06:22The Shapes will sleep through anything!
0:06:22 > 0:06:24Let's wake them up!
0:06:24 > 0:06:28THEY SNORE
0:06:28 > 0:06:30Ah!
0:06:30 > 0:06:32Hee-hee! Hey-hey!
0:06:32 > 0:06:36Woah... Hey! Ah, yeah!
0:06:44 > 0:06:46# I am a shape!
0:06:49 > 0:06:51# I am a shape!
0:06:53 > 0:06:55# I am a circle
0:06:58 > 0:07:01# I am a triangle
0:07:03 > 0:07:05# I am a square
0:07:08 > 0:07:11# I am a rectangle
0:07:13 > 0:07:15# I am a shape
0:07:17 > 0:07:19# I am a triangle! #
0:07:20 > 0:07:23What do you think the triangles are making?
0:07:27 > 0:07:28Can you guess?
0:07:32 > 0:07:34It's a rhinoceros!
0:07:34 > 0:07:37Well done, Triangle! Time to get back on the shelf.
0:07:38 > 0:07:41Wheeee!
0:07:41 > 0:07:42Whoa-ho-ho!
0:07:42 > 0:07:46Ooh-whoop-whoop! Hee-hee!
0:07:50 > 0:07:52That was a tricky puzzle today.
0:07:52 > 0:07:56- Those shapes are really clever. - BOING!
0:07:56 > 0:07:59Tocky, here! Minute Make Time!
0:07:59 > 0:08:02Hey-hey-hey! It's Minute Make Time!
0:08:05 > 0:08:07Here's what we're going to make today!
0:08:07 > 0:08:10A beautiful badge card!
0:08:10 > 0:08:14And to make a badge card, you will need...
0:08:14 > 0:08:16a circle of card,
0:08:16 > 0:08:17a peg,
0:08:17 > 0:08:19a rectangle of card,
0:08:19 > 0:08:21some glue,
0:08:21 > 0:08:22a pair of scissors,
0:08:22 > 0:08:23some glitter
0:08:23 > 0:08:26and some coloured stickers.
0:08:26 > 0:08:29Now, do you think it's possible to make this?
0:08:29 > 0:08:30In just one minute?
0:08:30 > 0:08:31No way!
0:08:31 > 0:08:34Really, Tocky? Well, I think I can do it.
0:08:34 > 0:08:36I will have to be quick, though.
0:08:36 > 0:08:40Don't worry, I'll remind you how to do it at the end.
0:08:40 > 0:08:42Let's make it in a minute!
0:08:42 > 0:08:43Start the clock!
0:08:43 > 0:08:46Here we go! Let's get our circle of card
0:08:46 > 0:08:48and glue it on to our peg.
0:08:48 > 0:08:50Put plenty of glue on, there we go.
0:08:50 > 0:08:53And stick it on there, like that.
0:08:53 > 0:08:54Now, Tocky, pick a number.
0:08:54 > 0:08:56Number one!
0:08:56 > 0:08:58OK, I'm going to bring a tray in,
0:08:58 > 0:09:02and draw a number one with my gloopy glue pot.
0:09:02 > 0:09:03That's a number one.
0:09:03 > 0:09:06And then you get some glitter,
0:09:06 > 0:09:09and put glitter all over like that, there we go,
0:09:09 > 0:09:14and then if I shake it off, only the number one will stay!
0:09:14 > 0:09:17- Half way!- Half way! Goodness me!
0:09:17 > 0:09:19I'd better get this rectangle of card
0:09:19 > 0:09:21and fold it in half like that,
0:09:21 > 0:09:24and make two snips at the top,
0:09:24 > 0:09:26here, and here.
0:09:26 > 0:09:29I'm going to fold that strip back,
0:09:29 > 0:09:32and that's going to help us pin on our badge!
0:09:32 > 0:09:34That's looking great!
0:09:34 > 0:09:37Now I can stick on some stickers to the side like that,
0:09:37 > 0:09:40and try and get as many as I can on, there we go,
0:09:40 > 0:09:43I think I can get one more on up there!
0:09:43 > 0:09:46- I did it!- That was close!
0:09:46 > 0:09:48That was close, Tocky, you're right!
0:09:48 > 0:09:50But I made the badge card!
0:09:50 > 0:09:54The best thing is that once you've sent it to someone,
0:09:54 > 0:09:55they get to wear the badge!
0:09:55 > 0:09:58And if you've got more than a minute,
0:09:58 > 0:10:00you can make all sorts of badge cards.
0:10:00 > 0:10:03This one has a different number.
0:10:03 > 0:10:07And this one is a really big badge card.
0:10:07 > 0:10:10Badge cards made in a minute!
0:10:10 > 0:10:14Why don't you try and make one? Here's a reminder of how to do it.
0:10:15 > 0:10:19Let's go back to the beginning and take another look.
0:10:19 > 0:10:21Stick the circle of card to the peg,
0:10:21 > 0:10:24write a number, in glue, on the card,
0:10:24 > 0:10:28cover it with glitter, and shake it off to reveal the number!
0:10:28 > 0:10:31Fold the rectangle of card in half,
0:10:31 > 0:10:33and cut two slits to make a flap.
0:10:33 > 0:10:35Fold it back to make a slot,
0:10:35 > 0:10:37slide the peg into the slot
0:10:37 > 0:10:40and add some stickers to finish your badge card.
0:10:41 > 0:10:44Why don't you try and make it in a minute?
0:10:44 > 0:10:46Hello, Mister maker!
0:10:46 > 0:10:48Oh, hello, everyone!
0:10:48 > 0:10:51- Watch this! - I wonder what they're up to.
0:10:56 > 0:10:59I am red.
0:11:02 > 0:11:04I'm light blue!
0:11:09 > 0:11:11I am purple.
0:11:16 > 0:11:18I am orange.
0:11:20 > 0:11:21I'm yellow.
0:11:24 > 0:11:26I am green.
0:11:29 > 0:11:30I am black.
0:11:33 > 0:11:36ALL: It's a bowl of fruit!
0:11:36 > 0:11:39Well done, everybody! See you next time!
0:11:39 > 0:11:42Now it's time to frame it!
0:11:42 > 0:11:44Frame it!
0:11:45 > 0:11:47Frame it!
0:11:47 > 0:11:51Now, take a look at this.
0:11:52 > 0:11:55What a great picture of a kite.
0:11:55 > 0:11:56It's very easy to do
0:11:56 > 0:11:59and looks so good you'll be able to frame it.
0:11:59 > 0:12:02You'll need some white paper,
0:12:02 > 0:12:04scissors, a glue stick, a black pen,
0:12:04 > 0:12:07and different coloured tissue paper.
0:12:08 > 0:12:12Tear some long strips of green and yellow tissue paper.
0:12:15 > 0:12:19Glue them to the bottom of the paper, like this, to make grass.
0:12:23 > 0:12:27Then, draw a kite shape on some more tissue paper.
0:12:29 > 0:12:31And cut it out.
0:12:34 > 0:12:35Glue the kite in the sky,
0:12:35 > 0:12:40and decorate it by glueing on different coloured triangles.
0:12:41 > 0:12:45With the black pen, draw someone flying the kite.
0:12:46 > 0:12:49Don't forget to draw the kite string!
0:12:51 > 0:12:56Finally, cut long, thin strips of tissue paper to make your kite tail.
0:12:57 > 0:12:59Glue them down like this,
0:12:59 > 0:13:02so it looks like the kite is blowing in the wind.
0:13:07 > 0:13:09What a brilliant picture!
0:13:09 > 0:13:11Why don't you have a go?
0:13:11 > 0:13:14And then frame it!
0:13:15 > 0:13:18Isn't that a great effect?
0:13:18 > 0:13:21Now, what's going on here?
0:13:21 > 0:13:27Ahoy, me hearties! My name is Captain Maker, ar!
0:13:27 > 0:13:30Not really, it's me!
0:13:30 > 0:13:34I was just trying on one of my fancy dress hats. Did I fool you?
0:13:35 > 0:13:38Oh. No? Well, never mind.
0:13:38 > 0:13:40Have a look at the rest of my hats.
0:13:40 > 0:13:43I can pretend to be...
0:13:43 > 0:13:46a prince! Bring me my jewels!
0:13:47 > 0:13:49Ooh! Very nice!
0:13:49 > 0:13:52Or I could pretend to be...
0:13:52 > 0:13:55a chef! Ha-ha!
0:13:55 > 0:14:00Oh, wait a minute, I think I've just cooked up a fantastic idea.
0:14:00 > 0:14:03Let's make something!
0:14:04 > 0:14:08Why not make a delicious-looking pretend pizza? Tasty!
0:14:08 > 0:14:12Let's make it! We'll need some things from the doodle-drawers!
0:14:15 > 0:14:20Two pieces of cardboard, an old newspaper and a pencil.
0:14:22 > 0:14:26Some sticky tape and some gloopy PVA glue.
0:14:29 > 0:14:32A large plate and some tissue paper.
0:14:35 > 0:14:38And some paint.
0:14:38 > 0:14:39Whoa!
0:14:39 > 0:14:42Now, to make your very own pretend pizza,
0:14:42 > 0:14:44like this one here,
0:14:44 > 0:14:48you need to start with a nice piece of large cardboard
0:14:48 > 0:14:50like this.
0:14:50 > 0:14:53And we're going to make the pizza base,
0:14:53 > 0:14:58so let's draw round something that's round, like this plate.
0:14:58 > 0:15:01That should give us a nice circle shape,
0:15:01 > 0:15:03which is our pizza base.
0:15:03 > 0:15:06Now we're going to cut this out, but be careful,
0:15:06 > 0:15:08because scissors are sharp.
0:15:09 > 0:15:11Now, this is a bit tricky,
0:15:11 > 0:15:14so you might want to ask an adult to help you.
0:15:19 > 0:15:22Next, we're going to make the pizza's crust,
0:15:22 > 0:15:26that's this bit around the edge, here.
0:15:26 > 0:15:30And for that we need a sheet of newspaper.
0:15:30 > 0:15:34And we're going to roll it up, like this.
0:15:34 > 0:15:37And then twist it, like this.
0:15:39 > 0:15:40There we go.
0:15:40 > 0:15:43And we're going to bring our base back in
0:15:43 > 0:15:47and bend and stick it around the edge to make the crust.
0:15:47 > 0:15:50You'll need more than one piece of newspaper
0:15:50 > 0:15:55to make sure your crust fits all the way around your circle.
0:15:55 > 0:15:56Let's stick it on!
0:16:01 > 0:16:06There's the pizza's crust, but now it's time for the tasty toppings!
0:16:06 > 0:16:10You can put whatever toppings you like on your pizza.
0:16:10 > 0:16:12How about pepperoni slices?
0:16:12 > 0:16:14So, let's get another piece of card,
0:16:14 > 0:16:15like this,
0:16:15 > 0:16:19and once again draw around something that's round,
0:16:19 > 0:16:21like this roll of sticky tape.
0:16:21 > 0:16:26And how about we also draw some oval olives?
0:16:26 > 0:16:28Oh, yes, very tasty!
0:16:30 > 0:16:33You can even add some pieces of ham
0:16:33 > 0:16:35and green peppers,
0:16:35 > 0:16:39which are just strips of card, and squares of card.
0:16:39 > 0:16:42Now, very carefully cut all of your pieces out.
0:16:49 > 0:16:51Once you've cut out lots of toppings,
0:16:51 > 0:16:55use gloopy glue to stick them onto your pizza base.
0:17:05 > 0:17:08Now we need to make a special gloopy mixture
0:17:08 > 0:17:11that's half gloopy glue,
0:17:11 > 0:17:13and half water.
0:17:13 > 0:17:14Let's give it a mix.
0:17:17 > 0:17:20And spread this gloopy mixture all over the pizza.
0:17:23 > 0:17:26Now we can add a layer
0:17:26 > 0:17:30of ripped up pieces of tissue paper on top.
0:17:30 > 0:17:33This doesn't have to be neat.
0:17:33 > 0:17:38And when you've finished, you can even add another layer
0:17:38 > 0:17:41of the gloopy mixture to make sure it's all stuck down.
0:17:45 > 0:17:48When it's dry, all that's left to do is paint it.
0:17:48 > 0:17:51Start by painting the pizza crust first,
