0:00:18 > 0:00:21# Ooh la la la la! M-m-make it!

0:00:23 > 0:00:26# Ooh la la la la! M-m-make it, Mister Maker!

0:00:29 > 0:00:32# Ooh la la la la! M-m-make it, Mister Maker!

0:00:34 > 0:00:37# Ooh la la la la! M-m-make it, Mister Maker!

0:00:37 > 0:00:39# Make it, Mister Maker! #

0:00:44 > 0:00:46Oh, hello, there! Great to see you again!

0:00:46 > 0:00:50I'm just practising my silly faces. Look.

0:00:53 > 0:00:55Oh, that's a really funny face!

0:00:55 > 0:01:00And I know what'll make it even funnier - a big silly nose!

0:01:00 > 0:01:05No, not THIS big silly nose. I mean a nose...

0:01:05 > 0:01:07like this!

0:01:08 > 0:01:10Oh, that's very funny.

0:01:10 > 0:01:11Let's try one more.

0:01:14 > 0:01:18Yes, now THAT is a really funny face!

0:01:18 > 0:01:23And do you know, this has given me a great idea!

0:01:24 > 0:01:25Let's try something!

0:01:26 > 0:01:31Try making a funny furry monster face, with a big nose!

0:01:31 > 0:01:33Let's MAKE it!

0:01:33 > 0:01:36We'll need things from the Doodle Drawers!

0:01:38 > 0:01:41Some paint, and a paint brush.

0:01:43 > 0:01:44A washing ball.

0:01:47 > 0:01:50Some paper and coloured card.

0:01:53 > 0:01:55Glue and a ruler.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01A black pen, stickers, and a pom-pom!

0:02:03 > 0:02:07Now to make a monster face, like this funny one here,

0:02:07 > 0:02:11you need to get a piece of coloured card like this.

0:02:11 > 0:02:14Now this can be any colour you like.

0:02:14 > 0:02:19Now get a small square of card in the same colour,

0:02:19 > 0:02:24we're going to very carefully cut it in half to make two triangles.

0:02:24 > 0:02:28Now be careful, because scissors are sharp.

0:02:30 > 0:02:31There we go.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35These are going to be the monster's ears!

0:02:35 > 0:02:39Let's glue them in position, one in each corner.

0:02:46 > 0:02:48There! Very good!

0:02:48 > 0:02:54Now we need some different coloured paper, a smaller piece will do,

0:02:54 > 0:02:56and we're going to draw two circles.

0:02:56 > 0:03:01Now it's easier to do this if you draw AROUND something that's ROUND!

0:03:01 > 0:03:03Like this bottle of gloopy glue.

0:03:03 > 0:03:06These are going to be the eyes.

0:03:06 > 0:03:08Now let's cut them out very carefully.

0:03:16 > 0:03:22Stick two white stickers on to your eyes to make them really stand out!

0:03:22 > 0:03:25Don't worry if you haven't got stickers -

0:03:25 > 0:03:28you can draw circles on white paper and cut them out!

0:03:28 > 0:03:32To make these eyes look more monster-like,

0:03:32 > 0:03:35let's add a big black dot in the middle for pupils.

0:03:35 > 0:03:38Now, glue the eyes on to the monster's face!

0:03:47 > 0:03:49Now this looks really good,

0:03:49 > 0:03:53but I think our monster needs some EYEBROWS!

0:03:54 > 0:03:56So let's grab our pom-pom,

0:03:56 > 0:04:01and very carefully, make a snip in the middle of it with our scissors.

0:04:03 > 0:04:07There we go. Now if we very gently pull it apart...

0:04:08 > 0:04:12we get bushy eyebrows!

0:04:12 > 0:04:15Now we can lay the eyebrows down, on top of the picture,

0:04:15 > 0:04:18around the eyes, and glue them into place!

0:04:22 > 0:04:25We need to give our monster a mouth!

0:04:25 > 0:04:30So let's draw a black line like this at the bottom of the picture.

0:04:32 > 0:04:34We can use a ruler to help us.

0:04:36 > 0:04:39Then, cut triangles out of some white paper,

0:04:39 > 0:04:44and glue them along the line to make a grumpy mouth with sharp teeth!

0:04:44 > 0:04:47Hmm! Our monster's missing something!

0:04:47 > 0:04:49He's missing a nose!

0:04:49 > 0:04:53And for that, we need a round, plastic container!

0:04:53 > 0:04:57Now any type will do, but this washing ball works really well.

0:04:57 > 0:05:02Ask an adult to help you find one and thoroughly clean one out.

0:05:02 > 0:05:06And then you need to paint it in a special gloopy mixture

0:05:06 > 0:05:12that's made up of half paint and half gloopy glue!

0:05:12 > 0:05:14Let's give it a mix.

0:05:16 > 0:05:18Let's get painting!

0:05:22 > 0:05:28When it's dry, glue the nose on to your monster.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37There! And now for a finishing touch,

0:05:37 > 0:05:42we can add some coloured stickers to give our monster a spotty face.

0:05:47 > 0:05:50Brilliant! What a funny monster face.

0:05:50 > 0:05:54And why not try some other monsters with different funny noses?

0:05:56 > 0:06:01This monster has three eyes! And a nose made out of a plastic egg!

0:06:02 > 0:06:04Why not try a happy monster?

0:06:04 > 0:06:08With a big nose made of an old plastic bowl.

0:06:08 > 0:06:11Fantastic, funny monster faces!

0:06:11 > 0:06:13Why don't you try making one?

0:06:13 > 0:06:14DING-DONG

0:06:14 > 0:06:16Oh, I wonder who that could be!

0:06:16 > 0:06:18Let's have a look.

0:06:19 > 0:06:24Oh, look! It's just a big monster with a funny nose!

0:06:24 > 0:06:28I just wanted to say hello!

0:06:28 > 0:06:33- Oh! All right, then. Hello! - Hello! Goodbye!

0:06:33 > 0:06:35Oh. Goodbye!

0:06:37 > 0:06:40It's a funny old world, isn't it?

0:06:40 > 0:06:41SNORING

0:06:41 > 0:06:46What's that noise? It's coming from the shelves, come on!

0:06:46 > 0:06:48SNORING

0:06:48 > 0:06:50The shapes are asleep again!

0:06:50 > 0:06:53SNORING

0:07:15 > 0:07:16# I am a shape

0:07:19 > 0:07:21# I am a shape

0:07:24 > 0:07:26# I am a circle

0:07:29 > 0:07:31# I am a triangle

0:07:34 > 0:07:35# I am a square

0:07:39 > 0:07:41# I am a rectangle

0:07:43 > 0:07:45# I am a shape

0:07:47 > 0:07:49# I am a circle. #

0:07:50 > 0:07:53What's hiding in the circles?

0:08:01 > 0:08:03Can you guess what it is?

0:08:07 > 0:08:08It's an ice-cream!

0:08:09 > 0:08:11Well done, Circle!

0:08:11 > 0:08:13Time to get back on the shelf!

0:08:13 > 0:08:16ALL: WHEEEE!

0:08:22 > 0:08:25THEY SNORE

0:08:25 > 0:08:27Oh, those shapes are so clever!

0:08:27 > 0:08:29CRASH!

0:08:29 > 0:08:31Tocky here! Minute-make time!

0:08:31 > 0:08:34Great! It's minute-make time!

0:08:35 > 0:08:39Here's what we're making today - a pipe-cleaner mouse!

0:08:39 > 0:08:41Say cheese, Mr Mouse!

0:08:41 > 0:08:43Squeak-squeak!

0:08:43 > 0:08:45That's how mice say cheese! Honest!

0:08:45 > 0:08:48To make a pipe-cleaner mouse, you will need...

0:08:49 > 0:08:51A pair of scissors.

0:08:51 > 0:08:52A pencil.

0:08:52 > 0:08:54A pink pipe cleaner.

0:08:54 > 0:08:56Three white pipe cleaners.

0:08:56 > 0:08:58And some glue!

0:08:58 > 0:09:00We'll also need some googly eyes -

0:09:00 > 0:09:02you can get those from an art shop!

0:09:02 > 0:09:04Wait right there!

0:09:05 > 0:09:07CAR STARTS, BELL RINGS

0:09:07 > 0:09:09I've got them!

0:09:10 > 0:09:14Yes, here are my googly eyes!

0:09:14 > 0:09:17Now, do you think it's possible to make THIS

0:09:17 > 0:09:18in just one minute?

0:09:18 > 0:09:21You're having a laugh!

0:09:21 > 0:09:25Really, Tocky? I think I can do it, I'll have to be very quick.

0:09:25 > 0:09:28Don't worry, I'll remind you how to do it at the end!

0:09:28 > 0:09:30Start the clock!

0:09:30 > 0:09:32Here we go!

0:09:32 > 0:09:36Get the pink pipe cleaner and carefully snip it in half.

0:09:36 > 0:09:40Then we're gonna bend this half up like that to make a nose.

0:09:40 > 0:09:42Now we need a white pipe cleaner,

0:09:42 > 0:09:44and we're going to wrap it round a pencil,

0:09:44 > 0:09:46like this. There we go.

0:09:46 > 0:09:50Slide it off, this is going to be the body of our mouse!

0:09:50 > 0:09:51There we go!

0:09:51 > 0:09:54That goes up to the nose. With this other pink piece,

0:09:54 > 0:09:57we're gonna fold it into ear shapes.

0:09:57 > 0:10:01There we go, there's one ear, and there's the other ear.

0:10:01 > 0:10:04And we can pop that up and squeeze it into position.

0:10:04 > 0:10:07There we go, our mouse has got two ears!

0:10:08 > 0:10:11Now we need these two white pipe cleaners -

0:10:11 > 0:10:12wrap them round the pencil.

0:10:12 > 0:10:14- Faster!- There's one...

0:10:14 > 0:10:16And there's the other one.

0:10:16 > 0:10:20Wrap it round, this is the rest of the mouse's body

0:10:20 > 0:10:24And then slide that off, and slide it on to our mouse,

0:10:24 > 0:10:26curl the tail up.

0:10:26 > 0:10:28And then we need to stick on two eyes!

0:10:28 > 0:10:31One bit of glue there and there...

0:10:31 > 0:10:35There's one eye, and there is the other eye.

0:10:35 > 0:10:37I've done it!

0:10:37 > 0:10:38Only just!

0:10:38 > 0:10:44That WAS close! And I made a little mouse in a minute!

0:10:44 > 0:10:46If you've got more than a minute,

0:10:46 > 0:10:49you can make lots of pipe-cleaner animals!

0:10:50 > 0:10:52Try making a pipe-cleaner lion.

0:10:52 > 0:10:56- Roar!- This one's got long legs and loops for feet.

0:10:56 > 0:10:59Or how about this stripey caterpillar?

0:10:59 > 0:11:02It's got lots of small pipe cleaners for legs!

0:11:02 > 0:11:06A pipe-cleaner creature made in a minute! Why don't you try it?

0:11:06 > 0:11:09Here's a reminder of how to do it.

0:11:09 > 0:11:12Let's go back to the beginning and take another look!

0:11:12 > 0:11:16Take a pink pipe cleaner and bend the end to make a mouse nose!

0:11:16 > 0:11:21Twist a white pipe cleaner around a pencil, this makes the mouse's head.

0:11:21 > 0:11:25Slide it on the pink pipe cleaner, up to the nose.

0:11:25 > 0:11:29Twist a pink pipe cleaner into two ears and attach them to the head.

0:11:29 > 0:11:33Twist and attach two white pipe cleaners to make the body.

0:11:33 > 0:11:37And add two googly eyes to complete your pipe-cleaner mouse!

0:11:39 > 0:11:42Why dont you try making it in a minute?

0:11:42 > 0:11:44ALL: Hello, Mister Maker!

0:11:44 > 0:11:46Oh, hello, everyone!

0:11:46 > 0:11:47ALL: Watch this!

0:11:47 > 0:11:50I wonder what they're up to!

0:11:55 > 0:11:57I'm dark blue.

0:12:00 > 0:12:02I am grey.

0:12:05 > 0:12:07I am orange.

0:12:08 > 0:12:09I'm yellow.

0:12:11 > 0:12:13I'm light blue.

0:12:17 > 0:12:19I am black.

0:12:21 > 0:12:25ALL: It's a police car!

0:12:25 > 0:12:28Well done, everybody. See you next time.

0:12:28 > 0:12:30Now it's time to...

0:12:30 > 0:12:31Frame it!

0:12:32 > 0:12:33Frame it!

0:12:35 > 0:12:36Frame it!

0:12:37 > 0:12:39Now, take a look at this!

0:12:42 > 0:12:45This African sunset picture is great fun to do,

0:12:45 > 0:12:48and looks so good you'll be able to frame it!

0:12:49 > 0:12:54You will need white paper, red paint, a paintbrush, a spoon,

0:12:54 > 0:12:56black and yellow oil pastels,

0:12:56 > 0:12:57and water.

0:12:58 > 0:13:01Start by folding a piece of paper in half.

0:13:02 > 0:13:07Now draw a picture in oil pastels above the folded line of the paper.

0:13:07 > 0:13:12Draw the ground with a black oil pastel...and then add a tree!

0:13:16 > 0:13:20As we're in Africa, let's draw two giraffes.

0:13:20 > 0:13:26For each one, draw a small head, a long neck, a body, and four legs.

0:13:27 > 0:13:32Then draw the sun with a yellow oil pastel. Now for the clever bit!

0:13:32 > 0:13:36We're going to make the bottom half of the picture look like a lake.

0:13:36 > 0:13:41Fold the paper in half, then scrape along the back of it with a spoon!

0:13:41 > 0:13:45Unfold the paper to reveal a reflection of your drawing.

0:13:45 > 0:13:49Then choose a sunset-coloured paint, like red,

0:13:49 > 0:13:52and add water to it to make a watery mixture.

0:13:52 > 0:13:57Cover your picture with the mixture, making the top half darker

0:13:57 > 0:13:58than the bottom half.

0:13:59 > 0:14:01It's a beautiful African sunset.

0:14:01 > 0:14:06And the great thing is, you only have to draw half of it!

0:14:06 > 0:14:13What a brilliant picture! Why dont you have a go? And then...FRAME IT!

0:14:13 > 0:14:15Isn't that effective?

0:14:15 > 0:14:18I like making art out of all sorts of things. So...

0:14:19 > 0:14:21Take a look at this!

0:14:22 > 0:14:27It's my magic pencil! And it can draw pictures all on it's own.

0:14:27 > 0:14:29Watch this!

0:14:46 > 0:14:48Can you guess what it's drawing?

0:14:58 > 0:15:00It's a weight-lifter!

0:15:00 > 0:15:02Well done, magic pencil!

0:15:03 > 0:15:05Now, what's it like outside?

0:15:07 > 0:15:12Ah, what a lovely sunny day! It's time I gave my plants a watering.

0:15:14 > 0:15:16Yes, my plants love water.

0:15:17 > 0:15:18Mmm, but I don't.

0:15:18 > 0:15:19Who said that?

0:15:19 > 0:15:22Me! It's Bernard the Bug!

0:15:22 > 0:15:26Oh, hello, Bernard! Sorry, did I splash you with the water there?

0:15:26 > 0:15:28Just a bit, yeah.

0:15:29 > 0:15:32Never mind, it's time for me to fly away anyway!

0:15:32 > 0:15:34Oh, OK. Bye, Bernard!

0:15:34 > 0:15:36Bye-bye, Mister Maker!

0:15:38 > 0:15:41Careful, Bernard, that window's not...

0:15:41 > 0:15:43open!

0:15:43 > 0:15:45Bernard, are you all right?

0:15:45 > 0:15:50Oh! I'm all right now! Just let me be! Oh, nope, hang on, here we go!

0:15:50 > 0:15:54Poor old Bernard. He never looks where he's going.

0:15:54 > 0:15:59Ha-ha! But still, he's given me a great idea!

0:16:00 > 0:16:01Let's make something!

0:16:02 > 0:16:06Make your very own hilarious gloopy splat-bug.

0:16:06 > 0:16:08To stick on a window or a door.

0:16:08 > 0:16:12Let's make it! We'll need some things from the Doodle Drawers!

0:16:15 > 0:16:19An old baking tray, some pink card, and a felt-tip pen!

0:16:22 > 0:16:25PVA gloopy glue and a paint brush!

0:16:29 > 0:16:32Some googly eyes that I got from the shop earlier!

0:16:34 > 0:16:37And some glitter and some sequins!

0:16:38 > 0:16:41Now, to make your very own splat-bug,

0:16:41 > 0:16:43like this one here,

0:16:43 > 0:16:46you need to get yourself a baking tray,

0:16:46 > 0:16:52and then some gloopy glue, and add a big dollop right in the middle!

0:16:52 > 0:16:53There we go.

0:16:53 > 0:16:55Now, using the end of a paint brush,

0:16:55 > 0:16:59we can flick out our gloopy glue to make a splat shape!

0:16:59 > 0:17:04There! Now we can add our googly eyes on top.

0:17:08 > 0:17:12And we can even add some sequins and glitter.

0:17:17 > 0:17:20Now we can add a tongue to our splat-bug.

0:17:20 > 0:17:25And we do that by drawing a tongue shape on some pink card.

0:17:29 > 0:17:34Now we're going to cut this out. Be careful because scissors are sharp.

0:17:42 > 0:17:47Now, gently place the tongue into the gloopy splat mixture.

0:17:49 > 0:17:52There! Now we can leave it to dry overnight.

0:17:52 > 0:17:54Goodnight!

0:17:54 > 0:17:55OWL HOOTS

0:17:55 > 0:17:57CHICKEN CROWS

0:17:59 > 0:18:00Morning! Ha-ha!

0:18:00 > 0:18:07And when it's dry, you can very gently peel off your splat-bug,

0:18:07 > 0:18:09from the baking tray,

0:18:09 > 0:18:11here it comes.

0:18:12 > 0:18:14There, give it a little shake.

0:18:16 > 0:18:22And there you have it! A perfect, gloopy splat-bug!

0:18:22 > 0:18:24The great thing about gloopy splat-bugs

0:18:24 > 0:18:28is that you can stick them anywhere! By using sticky-tape,

0:18:28 > 0:18:30you can stick a splat bug...

0:18:32 > 0:18:33on a book!

0:18:33 > 0:18:37This one's a differnt splat-shape, and it's got blue and gold glitter.

0:18:37 > 0:18:41Or you can stick one on a window, like this blue one.
