0:01:16 > 0:01:19But first, it's the big stories from the football world this week.

0:01:19 > 0:01:20It's our headline hitters.

0:01:20 > 0:01:24Ever dreamt of being a match day mascot for your favourite team?

0:01:24 > 0:01:26Well, you'd have to wait a bit if you supported

0:01:26 > 0:01:27Swedish side, AIK.

0:01:27 > 0:01:30They turned the tables this week and instead of having

0:01:30 > 0:01:31children as mascots, they brought on pensioners!

0:01:31 > 0:01:32Lovely stuff.

0:01:32 > 0:01:37Talk about taking on your heroes, LA Galaxy superstars,

0:01:37 > 0:01:41Robbie Keane and Stevie Gerrard have faced the best teams

0:01:41 > 0:01:45in the world in their time, but last week they were challenged

0:01:45 > 0:01:46by 30 eight-year-olds.

0:01:46 > 0:01:48Robbie and Stevie ended up winning 3-2.

0:01:48 > 0:01:57It's not fair, ref!

0:01:57 > 0:02:00And there were some shocks in the EFL Cup this week too.

0:02:00 > 0:02:03Premier League Bournemouth went out at home to Preston and Everton

0:02:03 > 0:02:06were beaten by Norwich who will now go and face Leeds United

0:02:06 > 0:02:11in the next round.

0:02:11 > 0:02:14Oh, I love a good old Cup game.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16But there is some cracking fixtures in the programme this week.

0:02:16 > 0:02:19Check these out.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21Arsenal have a massive, massive game against one

0:02:21 > 0:02:23of their rivals, Chelsea.

0:02:23 > 0:02:27More on that later.

0:02:27 > 0:02:29And it's another big test for Jose Mourinho

0:02:29 > 0:02:32as Man U face Leicester, but despite a difficult week or so,

0:02:32 > 0:02:35I've got some stats to show Mourinho may actually be

0:02:35 > 0:02:36working his magic.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38Let's look at Fellaini this season compared to last.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41Even though it is still early days he has already got more

0:02:41 > 0:02:43interceptions and more blocks and improved proved his passing

0:02:43 > 0:02:44accuracy, up to 90%.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Jose seems to be bringing

0:02:47 > 0:02:48the best out of him.

0:02:48 > 0:02:57It's Leicester that stand in their way today with the Foxes

0:02:57 > 0:02:59hoping to rediscover the form that made them champions,

0:02:59 > 0:03:02but 30 miles down the road from Leicester, there's another club

0:03:02 > 0:03:05that had their own fairytale rise to the top once upon a time.

0:03:05 > 0:03:08Here's some superfans to tell us all about the club they love,

0:03:08 > 0:03:09Nottingham Forest.

0:03:09 > 0:03:11The excitement has been building up for hours now and Nottingham

0:03:11 > 0:03:13will not calm down for many hours yet.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16Hi Match Of The Day Kickabout. My name is Jessica.

0:03:16 > 0:03:17And my name is Emily.

0:03:17 > 0:03:23Welcome to Nottingham Forest.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26This is our home stadium - the City ground.

0:03:26 > 0:03:35The club were founded in 1865 and we have a great history.

0:03:35 > 0:03:41COMMENTATOR: Well, that's what I wanted to see Robertson do.

0:03:41 > 0:03:43The FA Cup, we've won that two times as well.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46Oh yeah, and if that's not enough, we've also won the

0:03:46 > 0:03:51League Cup four times.

0:03:51 > 0:03:53Let's go and find our seats.

0:03:53 > 0:03:57Look, they're here.

0:03:57 > 0:03:58Our mum sits in 85.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00Well, look at the view.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03Yeah.

0:04:03 > 0:04:05Very, very cool.

0:04:05 > 0:04:11We are Nottingham.

0:04:11 > 0:04:13This is our mascot.

0:04:13 > 0:04:14He's called Sherwood the Bear.

0:04:14 > 0:04:19He's the best!

0:04:19 > 0:04:21One of our best ever players was Stuart Pearce.

0:04:21 > 0:04:27He was our captain and he had a great left foot.

0:04:27 > 0:04:31Our skipper now is Chris Cohen.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34He's a true hero and he has played over 250 games for

0:04:34 > 0:04:37Nottingham Forest.

0:04:37 > 0:04:39Our most famous ever manager has to be Brian Clough.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41He managed the club for 18 years and made Forest

0:04:41 > 0:04:46European powerhouses.

0:04:46 > 0:04:48Our gaffer now, Philippe Montanier, will be hoping

0:04:48 > 0:04:51to follow in his footsteps.

0:04:51 > 0:04:54I think Philippe Montanier is a very good manager just in the way

0:04:54 > 0:05:04he gives everyone a go at being out on the pitch.

0:05:04 > 0:05:06He doesn't just keep the same squad every week.

0:05:06 > 0:05:09I think the best players in Nottingham Forest is probably Lamb.

0:05:09 > 0:05:11He scored twice for Forest and he has only been

0:05:11 > 0:05:14here since the start of the season and he has given 100% every game

0:05:14 > 0:05:16and the next one is Lansbury.

0:05:16 > 0:05:20He is always consistent and always tries to go everywhere.

0:05:20 > 0:05:22I think this season Forest could do quite well and probably maybe

0:05:22 > 0:05:24get into the play-offs.

0:05:24 > 0:05:32Maybe they could just achieve the top half of the table.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37Brilliant stuff.

0:05:37 > 0:05:38Thanks Emily.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41Thanks Jessica and all the best to Forest as they travel to

0:05:41 > 0:05:45Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.

0:05:45 > 0:05:48And talking of superfans, this guy has got a few!

0:05:48 > 0:05:51My mate Olly Murs has sold millions of records and some say

0:05:51 > 0:05:53he's the second-best celebrity ever to play at soccer rate,

0:05:53 > 0:05:57you know who the best is, of course, we caught up with him to give

0:05:57 > 0:06:01us his dream five aside team.

0:06:01 > 0:06:05Hi, I'm Olly Murs and this is my dream five a side.

0:06:05 > 0:06:07David De Gea in goal for my team.

0:06:07 > 0:06:07He's young.

0:06:07 > 0:06:09He's athletic.

0:06:09 > 0:06:11He's quick.

0:06:11 > 0:06:16He's is a great shot stopper and I think that

0:06:16 > 0:06:19in my five-a-side team, he would be perfect.

0:06:19 > 0:06:21In defence, I'm going to go with Sergio Ramos.

0:06:21 > 0:06:23He plays for Real Madrid.

0:06:23 > 0:06:25The reason I picked him is because he's quick.

0:06:25 > 0:06:28I think he has got great feet.

0:06:28 > 0:06:30I think he'll score goals.

0:06:30 > 0:06:31He's strong.

0:06:31 > 0:06:33He can tackle.

0:06:33 > 0:06:38Yeah, I think he would be centre-half for me.

0:06:38 > 0:06:43In mid-field, of course, I've got to pick myself.

0:06:43 > 0:06:46I'm a bit of a winger so I would bring a bit of pace

0:06:46 > 0:06:47to the side.

0:06:47 > 0:06:49I can score the odd goal or two as well.

0:06:49 > 0:06:52I work hard and I would go with the most expensive football

0:06:52 > 0:06:54player in the world in Paul Pogba.

0:06:54 > 0:06:59He has got a bit of everything.

0:06:59 > 0:07:01He is a box to box mid-fielder.

0:07:01 > 0:07:02We have seen that already.

0:07:02 > 0:07:06But also he has got the ability to turn a game on its

0:07:06 > 0:07:07head and score a goal.

0:07:07 > 0:07:08He has got great feet.

0:07:08 > 0:07:09He has got skills.

0:07:09 > 0:07:11We would compliment each other really well.

0:07:11 > 0:07:14Up front, there is only one man, Cristiano Ronaldo is the guy for me.

0:07:14 > 0:07:15COMMENTATOR: Ronaldo!

0:07:15 > 0:07:17This guy just gets better and better.

0:07:17 > 0:07:18He is just brilliant.

0:07:18 > 0:07:19He would be my striker.

0:07:19 > 0:07:25Thanks a lot, Olly.

0:07:25 > 0:07:27Some nice picks there, but I cannot believe

0:07:27 > 0:07:31you didn't pick me!

0:07:31 > 0:07:34Meanwhile, it won't be long before some of you lot are

0:07:34 > 0:07:35making up a dream team.

0:07:35 > 0:07:42Check out some of these skills.

0:07:42 > 0:07:44What's Alex up to here?

0:07:44 > 0:07:46Ah.

0:07:46 > 0:07:47He manages to keep the bottle upright.

0:07:47 > 0:07:51Unbelievable.

0:07:51 > 0:07:53I'd like to see him do that again.

0:07:53 > 0:07:54And Callum, back to goal.

0:07:54 > 0:07:56Flicks it up.

0:07:56 > 0:07:57Oh, overhead kick.

0:07:57 > 0:07:59Just like Trevor Sinclair back in the day.

0:07:59 > 0:08:01Harry steps up.

0:08:01 > 0:08:02Harry, I'm coming round later, mate.

0:08:02 > 0:08:10You can teach me that!

0:08:10 > 0:08:12And Zak steps up for a free-kick outside the box.

0:08:12 > 0:08:15Oh, straight in the top corner and he is number one fan over

0:08:15 > 0:08:20in the corner there as well.

0:08:20 > 0:08:22Incredible and as always, please keep your clips coming in.

0:08:22 > 0:08:23We love seeing them.

0:08:23 > 0:08:26So get out there, get someone to film your fancy footwork and use

0:08:26 > 0:08:31the CBBC uploader tool on the website to send them in.

0:08:31 > 0:08:34Now, whether you've just started playing football or you think your

0:08:34 > 0:08:37skills need perfecting then this is for you.

0:08:37 > 0:08:40Our man Tyler is a top-notch handball player,

0:08:40 > 0:08:43but has always wanted to nail some skills with his feet.

0:08:43 > 0:08:45So we sent him back to basics with the one

0:08:45 > 0:08:50and only John Farnworth.

0:08:55 > 0:08:59John, my man, thank you so much for coming down.

0:08:59 > 0:09:01A pleasure.

0:09:01 > 0:09:03Stripping it back to basics, you need to learn some skills.

0:09:03 > 0:09:06I can't even do five keepy uppies.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08So what is it that you can show me today?

0:09:08 > 0:09:12Well, I was at that stage once in my life and I had to practise

0:09:12 > 0:09:15really hard at kick-ups or juggling the ball.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18So the first thing we're going do today is to go back

0:09:18 > 0:09:19to basics on your kick ups.

0:09:19 > 0:09:20So I started where the laces.

0:09:20 > 0:09:24So where your laces are now, that's the part of your foot

0:09:24 > 0:09:30where you're going to hit the ball to make it go up and down.

0:09:30 > 0:09:33But the way I made it easier was to add a bounce.

0:09:33 > 0:09:36So in your own time be as relaxed as you can.

0:09:36 > 0:09:37Just take a bounce.

0:09:37 > 0:09:38Take a kick and slow it down.

0:09:38 > 0:09:39OK.

0:09:39 > 0:09:41Don't just focus on your right foot.

0:09:41 > 0:09:42Go right foot.

0:09:42 > 0:09:43Bounce.

0:09:43 > 0:09:45Left foot.

0:09:45 > 0:09:48I think you need to relax your left foot a bit more.

0:09:48 > 0:09:49I know it's difficult because you're right footed.

0:09:49 > 0:09:52That's my weakest.

0:09:52 > 0:09:57Now that happens a lot because you tense up almost

0:09:57 > 0:10:03because you're trying too much so just relax a little bit more.

0:10:03 > 0:10:04You're a natural, Tyler.

0:10:04 > 0:10:10I'm all over this!

0:10:10 > 0:10:13Rather than pick the ball up with your hands, I'm thinking

0:10:13 > 0:10:15we could do a fancy move to get the ball up.

0:10:15 > 0:10:17OK, yeah.

0:10:17 > 0:10:20So you're right footed, the same as me, so you're

0:10:20 > 0:10:23going to put your left foot behind the ball,

0:10:23 > 0:10:26your right foot is going to come here and what we call a back heel

0:10:26 > 0:10:29so you're going to back heel the ball which is going to go

0:10:29 > 0:10:31up your left toe and kind of roll

0:10:31 > 0:10:32up your shin here.

0:10:32 > 0:10:34Got you.

0:10:34 > 0:10:35You got that?

0:10:35 > 0:10:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.

0:10:35 > 0:10:39So I'm not going say too much more. I want you to go ahead.

0:10:39 > 0:10:41Trial and error.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43It is just going away from you.

0:10:43 > 0:10:48Ah.

0:10:48 > 0:10:51I would maybe take your foot rather than being on the side like directly

0:10:51 > 0:10:54behind it and see how that is and a little bit closer.

0:10:54 > 0:10:55It's all about the positioning.

0:10:55 > 0:10:56Yeah, try that.

0:10:56 > 0:10:58I think that's very good.

0:10:58 > 0:10:59That was good.

0:10:59 > 0:11:00You got the move.

0:11:00 > 0:11:04Yes!

0:11:04 > 0:11:08Come on!

0:11:08 > 0:11:11With freestyle you have to take one step at a time.

0:11:11 > 0:11:13You don't want to run before you can walk?

0:11:13 > 0:11:14Exactly.

0:11:14 > 0:11:17Well, that just goes to show that practise makes perfect!

0:11:22 > 0:11:24Nice one, Tyler.

0:11:24 > 0:11:28I loved that last trick.

0:11:28 > 0:11:30John Farnworth calls it the kick-start and he learnt it

0:11:30 > 0:11:35from watching Ryan Giggs.

0:11:35 > 0:11:38So if that has inspired you, why not go out and give it a try

0:11:38 > 0:11:42and maybe you can send in a video of how you got on.

0:11:42 > 0:11:44But now it's time for a solid gold guest.

0:11:44 > 0:11:45Check this out.

0:11:45 > 0:11:46Great Britain are heading towards gold.

0:11:46 > 0:11:48They've got one more stroke to go.

0:11:48 > 0:11:49They've crossed the line.

0:11:49 > 0:11:55Gold for the men's four in Rio and they punch the air.

0:11:55 > 0:11:57Gold for the British men's four for a fifth consecutive Olympic

0:11:57 > 0:12:00Games.

0:12:00 > 0:12:08APPLAUSE.

0:12:08 > 0:12:10Please welcome gold medal winning rower, Mo Sbihi.

0:12:10 > 0:12:11Mo, how are you?

0:12:11 > 0:12:13Really good, thank you, Mark.

0:12:13 > 0:12:15What was it like winning that?

0:12:15 > 0:12:20Unbelievable.

0:12:20 > 0:12:23It's something I've been working towards for a long time and yeah,

0:12:23 > 0:12:26just felt huge relief, but sense of happiness and joy.

0:12:26 > 0:12:29When you say working towards it, how hard have you had

0:12:29 > 0:12:30to work to win that?

0:12:30 > 0:12:37So for the last six, seven years I have been really

0:12:37 > 0:12:39focussing on winning gold, but the journey has been

0:12:39 > 0:12:4113 years long.

0:12:41 > 0:12:43What would you say to any sports person,

0:12:43 > 0:12:45football, rugby, rowing, whatever it is, if they want to get

0:12:45 > 0:12:50to the top and achieve their dream, what do they have to do?

0:12:50 > 0:12:55The first thing I've learned is you need to work hard

0:12:55 > 0:12:58and when you do put in the hard work, you get rewarded.

0:12:58 > 0:13:01Sometimes it is not so instantly, but it pays off down the line

0:13:01 > 0:13:02and it's the perseverance.

0:13:02 > 0:13:06It's very easy to not push as hard on a day-to-day basis and it's

0:13:06 > 0:13:08about being consistent through your training that kind

0:13:08 > 0:13:09of helps and don't quit.

0:13:09 > 0:13:11Now, it's not just rowing that you love.

0:13:11 > 0:13:12You also love the beautiful game

0:13:12 > 0:13:13of football, right?

0:13:13 > 0:13:17Yeah.

0:13:17 > 0:13:21And you love a team that I don't love so much, Arsenal!

0:13:21 > 0:13:23You're a massive Arsenal fan, but I want to know

0:13:23 > 0:13:25who your biggest hero was growing up?

0:13:25 > 0:13:29So I've got two.

0:13:29 > 0:13:32I used to model my football style of play on Patrick Vieira

0:13:32 > 0:13:33because he was tall.

0:13:33 > 0:13:34He was a bit lanky myself.

0:13:34 > 0:13:37But I think I was extremely lucky to have watched Thierry Henry.

0:13:37 > 0:13:40I think he has been the best player that the Premiership has had.

0:13:40 > 0:13:44I watched him once and I walked away from the game and said that's

0:13:44 > 0:13:46the best footballer I have ever seen play live.

0:13:46 > 0:13:48Incredible.

0:13:48 > 0:13:50All right, so they've got Chelsea this weekend,

0:13:50 > 0:13:51how do you see it going?
