0:05:22 > 0:05:25You have to wear sturdy shoes, too,
0:05:25 > 0:05:27ones that can get a bit wet.
0:05:27 > 0:05:31The rocks are covered in seaweed and can get quite slippery

0:05:54 > 0:05:56If we turn over some of these boulders,
0:05:56 > 0:06:01we might find some tiny creatures called little brittle stars.
0:06:01 > 0:06:04- They sound exciting, don't they?- There's one.
0:06:04 > 0:06:07I'm just going to put it into this bucket
0:06:07 > 0:06:10so that we can have a closer look.
0:06:10 > 0:06:14Ah! If you didn't know what you're looking for, you might miss it.

0:06:16 > 0:06:19Oh, this little fella is really small,
0:06:19 > 0:06:22but the route finder's showing us one that's bigger.
0:06:23 > 0:06:26Oh, and this fella is even bigger than that!
0:06:28 > 0:06:34So if you look here, there's quite a hard, curly white thing.
0:06:34 > 0:06:37Can you see that? It's called a keel worm.
0:06:37 > 0:06:41And what it is is the tube of a worm.
0:06:41 > 0:06:44And it's made this hard tube and it's living inside it.
0:06:44 > 0:06:46And when the tide comes in,
0:06:46 > 0:06:49the worm will stick his head out the end there
0:06:49 > 0:06:53and put out tentacles that grab little particles of food.
0:06:56 > 0:06:59The tiddlers set off to look for more creatures
0:06:59 > 0:07:01where Judith said it was safe to go.
0:07:04 > 0:07:08Back at the big rock pool, Judith has found something else.
0:07:08 > 0:07:13On the rocks, we've got some big sea snails, here.
0:07:13 > 0:07:15They are common limpets.
0:07:15 > 0:07:18This animal, at the moment, is clamped down on the rock
0:07:18 > 0:07:21and at high tide, when the tide comes rushing in here,
0:07:21 > 0:07:24it'll let go, go for a little walk around
0:07:24 > 0:07:27about three feet away from where it lives
0:07:27 > 0:07:30and it will be eating young seaweed on the rocks.
0:07:30 > 0:07:35Then it will go back to exactly the same place it started off from.
0:07:35 > 0:07:38And on the rock, now and again,
0:07:38 > 0:07:39you'll see this bare patch.
0:07:39 > 0:07:41Can you see any over your side?
0:07:41 > 0:07:44Is there a bare patch, a little circle?
0:07:44 > 0:07:45Yeah, well done.
0:07:45 > 0:07:49And that little circle is something called a home scar,
0:07:49 > 0:07:53because this animal will grind its shell into the rock
0:07:53 > 0:07:55and only its shell will fit that space.
0:07:55 > 0:08:00So where there's bare spaces is where that animal didn't come back.
0:08:00 > 0:08:03Now, I've just seen something scooting around in the pool
0:08:03 > 0:08:06and I'm going to try and catch it.
0:08:06 > 0:08:08But they're really fast-moving.

0:08:32 > 0:08:36So we're going to set the prawn free, back into his rock pool.

0:08:44 > 0:08:48The tiddlers are taking photos of the creatures they see

0:08:52 > 0:08:56Remember, be careful not to hurt the creatures you find.
0:08:56 > 0:08:59Like the tiddlers, these creatures love where they live.
0:08:59 > 0:09:01It's important to put them back
0:09:01 > 0:09:03in the same rock pool they came from.
0:09:05 > 0:09:11OK, tiddlers, so what we've got here is an animal called a sea anemone.
0:09:11 > 0:09:14And although at low tide it looks like a blob of jelly,
0:09:14 > 0:09:18that's because it's pulled inside itself all of its tentacles.
0:09:18 > 0:09:21And it would have about 200 tentacles,
0:09:21 > 0:09:24which when it's in water will all be out and moving
0:09:24 > 0:09:26and it will look a bit like a flower.
0:09:27 > 0:09:30Oh, those anemones are beautiful!
0:09:30 > 0:09:35Hey, it looks like a garden, a garden under the sea.
0:09:35 > 0:09:37That's quite a big word to say, an anemone.
