0:02:23 > 0:02:26# It could be a beach, a village or a city

0:02:26 > 0:02:28# Museum or a school, a garden so pretty

0:02:45 > 0:02:50So, here's the Cone. And I'm glad the Tiddlers invited me here.

0:02:50 > 0:02:53I've brought my log book for my souvenirs.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56I think they might be in there. Shall we go and find them?

0:02:56 > 0:02:57Come on, then.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05Hey, they you are!

0:03:05 > 0:03:08It's Hannah, Freya, Alfie and Victoria.

0:03:08 > 0:03:10Hello, Tiddlers!

0:03:10 > 0:03:12Hello, Mr Bloom!

0:03:12 > 0:03:14So I've found you and...

0:03:14 > 0:03:17- Oooh, who are you here with today? - Charlotte.- Charlotte?

0:03:17 > 0:03:20- Hello, Charlotte.- Hello, Mr Bloom.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22So, we're making glass today.

0:03:22 > 0:03:25But, Tiddlers, this doesn't look like glass to me.

0:03:25 > 0:03:27It looks a bit like gloopy honey.

0:03:27 > 0:03:30It's so hot that you can do it in different shapes.

0:03:30 > 0:03:34So how are you going to make it into shapes if it's really hot?

0:03:34 > 0:03:38- People like Charlotte blow it into different shapes.- You blow it?

0:03:38 > 0:03:42- You blow it like a balloon? - Yeah.- It looks like great fun, this.

0:03:42 > 0:03:46Do you reckon, if I ask Charlotte nicely, she'll let me have a go?

0:03:46 > 0:03:48- Yes!- Shall I ask her?- Yeah!

0:03:48 > 0:03:52- Charlotte, can I have a go at blowing some glass?- Absolutely.

0:03:52 > 0:03:55But you'll have to wear safety glasses.

0:03:55 > 0:03:56Right, let's go!

0:03:58 > 0:04:02- OK, here we go, Mr Bloom. - All right. Huff and puff.

0:04:05 > 0:04:07Keep blowing!

0:04:07 > 0:04:10It's safe. We've got glasses on and we're standing back.

0:04:10 > 0:04:13There we go. Stop. Whoa!

0:04:13 > 0:04:15'Ey up, I've blown too hard!

0:04:15 > 0:04:17So close...

0:04:17 > 0:04:20Thanks for letting me have a go, Charlotte.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23But I reckon I'll leave it to the professionals.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26Tiddlers, I heard you're building something. Is that right?

0:04:26 > 0:04:30We're building something very special and we'd like to show you.

0:04:30 > 0:04:34All right, let's go find this something special.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37- Bye!- Bye!

0:04:41 > 0:04:43So, what have you drawn here, Freya?

0:04:43 > 0:04:47It's a plan for the big picture that we're going to make.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50Oooh, sounds good to me. Tell me about it.

0:04:50 > 0:04:54This is a picture of the Cone. The canal's there.

0:04:54 > 0:04:56And the sun's up there in the sky.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59Victoria, what are we making first?

0:04:59 > 0:05:02We're going to make the water first, Mr Bloom.

0:05:02 > 0:05:04What will we make the water out of?

0:05:04 > 0:05:08We're going to make the water out of glass.

0:05:08 > 0:05:09Hey, that's a good idea.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13It's nice and see-through, just like water. Righty-ho, then.

0:05:13 > 0:05:17- Shall I hang on to this picture? - You can keep it in your log book.

0:05:17 > 0:05:20Hey, that's a good idea, Freya. Thanks very much.

0:05:22 > 0:05:23This way.

0:05:23 > 0:05:26Freya, what are we going to do now?

0:05:26 > 0:05:30We're going to make shapes in the sand with our fingers.

0:05:30 > 0:05:32With our fingers? Brilliant!

0:05:32 > 0:05:36- OK. What shapes are they going to be?- Wavy shapes.- Wavy shapes?

0:05:36 > 0:05:38Ah, like the water in the canal.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41- Is that going to be the water in your picture?- Yeah.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44Hey, that's a good job, that.

0:05:44 > 0:05:45Nice and wavy.

0:05:45 > 0:05:47What are you drawing, Alfie?

0:05:47 > 0:05:49A big, massive, super wave.

0:05:49 > 0:05:52I wouldn't want to meet that wave on a canal.

0:05:52 > 0:05:54Whoa...!

0:05:54 > 0:05:55That's awesome.

0:05:55 > 0:05:58These waves are looking very pretty.

0:05:58 > 0:06:00But I'm confused, Tiddlers.

0:06:00 > 0:06:04I thought we were making the picture out of glass, not out of sand.

0:06:04 > 0:06:06We're going to pour glass into the sand.

0:06:06 > 0:06:10- Is that right, Charlotte? - Yes. We pour glass into the shapes.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13- It's very hot, so only grown-ups can do it.- Very good.

0:06:13 > 0:06:15So, let's look at your plan here.

0:06:15 > 0:06:19What are we going to be working on next, Victoria?

0:06:19 > 0:06:22We're going to do the sunbeams next.

0:06:22 > 0:06:24Ah, the sun, yeah!

0:06:24 > 0:06:28There's the sun up in the corner. Right, then, you lead on.

0:06:28 > 0:06:30Are you coming?

0:06:30 > 0:06:35Now, Charlotte adds the runny glass to our sand shapes.

0:06:35 > 0:06:39Once they've cooled down, we can start the Tiddlers' big picture.

0:06:41 > 0:06:45- Alfie, who's helping us with the next part of our picture?- Sarah.

0:06:45 > 0:06:47- Hello, Sarah.- Hello, Mr Bloom.

0:06:47 > 0:06:50So, we were hoping we can make some sunbeams.

0:06:50 > 0:06:53- Can you help us with that? - Sure. No problem.

0:06:53 > 0:06:56So, today, children, we're going to use

0:06:56 > 0:06:59some very smooth little pieces of glass

0:06:59 > 0:07:02to sprinkle over these long pieces of glass.

0:07:02 > 0:07:06It's all very smooth and it's been made safe for children to use.

0:07:06 > 0:07:07Let's get sprinkling.

0:07:09 > 0:07:12- That's it.- Wow, good lad.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15- How does that feel in your fingers, Hannah?- It feels smooth.

0:07:17 > 0:07:21Mr Bloom, do you want to keep some of these for your log book?

0:07:21 > 0:07:24Hey, that's a great idea, Victoria.

0:07:24 > 0:07:28You put them there and I'll put these in my log book later on.

0:07:31 > 0:07:34- I think our sunbeams are... - ALL:- Done!

0:07:34 > 0:07:35You're right.

0:07:35 > 0:07:36So, what's next, Sarah?

0:07:36 > 0:07:41I'm going to put these sunbeams into a hot oven called a kiln.

0:07:41 > 0:07:43The little pieces of glass

0:07:43 > 0:07:46will melt onto the big piece of glass underneath.

0:07:46 > 0:07:48Sarah, we'll leave that with you.

0:07:48 > 0:07:51But those sunbeams are looking brilliant.

0:07:51 > 0:07:52DING-DING

0:07:53 > 0:07:55Oh, it's my Route Finder.

0:07:55 > 0:07:59Here, I think it wants to show us something.

0:08:00 > 0:08:03Glass can come in all different colours.

0:08:03 > 0:08:05These windows are lovely.

0:08:05 > 0:08:08Look at the pictures made out of glass.

0:08:08 > 0:08:15These buildings are covered in glass windows. They're tall and shiny.

0:08:15 > 0:08:19Inside glass buildings called greenhouses it can get really warm.

0:08:19 > 0:08:21Perfect for growing plants.

0:08:23 > 0:08:24There we go.

0:08:24 > 0:08:28- We're learning lots of interesting things today, aren't we?- Yeah.

0:08:28 > 0:08:29Hee-hee.

0:08:29 > 0:08:32- So, Alfie, what have you got here? - It's clay.

0:08:32 > 0:08:34Clay, is it?

0:08:35 > 0:08:39So what are... Oh, are we going to be building the Cone out of clay?

0:08:39 > 0:08:43Yeah. We're going to make lots of little bricks to make the Cone.

0:08:44 > 0:08:47Firstly, we've got to flatten the clay.

0:08:49 > 0:08:54Hey, nice work, Alfie. You're rolling that out nicely.

0:08:54 > 0:08:56So now, we're going to have a blunt pencil each.

0:08:56 > 0:08:59- That means it's not sharp. - That's very good. Yes.

0:08:59 > 0:09:03It's a blunt pencil for you to do the markings with.

0:09:04 > 0:09:08All these bricks will come together to make our Cone.

0:09:09 > 0:09:11What we need to do next is

0:09:11 > 0:09:13we need to let them dry

0:09:13 > 0:09:17and then cook them until they're very hard and shiny.

0:09:17 > 0:09:19And then they can go up on the wall.

0:09:19 > 0:09:22So, whilst Sarah finishes off with those bricks,

0:09:22 > 0:09:25I think the sunbeams and the water might be ready.

0:09:25 > 0:09:28- So, shall we start our big picture? - Yeah!

0:09:28 > 0:09:30You got it. Let's go!

0:09:30 > 0:09:33We finished all the pieces for the Tiddlers' big picture.

0:09:33 > 0:09:38And it'll look brilliant on the wall here, right by the canal.

0:09:38 > 0:09:41So, Tiddlers, this is the first piece.

0:09:41 > 0:09:44And this is the canal water.

0:09:44 > 0:09:48You remember the wavy bits you did? There we go.

0:09:48 > 0:09:50- Go on, Tiddlers, push it. - Urrr...!

0:09:50 > 0:09:51Good pushing.

0:09:51 > 0:09:55There we have it, Tiddlers, the first part of our big picture.

0:09:55 > 0:09:57Hip-hip hooray!

0:09:59 > 0:10:00It's like icing a cake!

0:10:02 > 0:10:05And look at the sunbeams we made around the sunshine.

0:10:05 > 0:10:08What have we got here, Victoria?

0:10:08 > 0:10:11We've got one of the bricks we made of the Cone.

0:10:11 > 0:10:13OK, shall we glue it on?

0:10:13 > 0:10:15Very good.

0:10:17 > 0:10:21- That's it. Lovely.- Do you want to squish them on the wall?

0:10:21 > 0:10:23- That's right. - There we go. Look at that.

0:10:23 > 0:10:26And here we have the finishing touch.

0:10:31 > 0:10:33Here And There.

0:10:35 > 0:10:38There we go, Tiddlers. You've got a Cone of your very own.

0:10:38 > 0:10:42But, more than that, it's a Cone everyone can enjoy.

0:10:42 > 0:10:45- What do you reckon, Victoria? - It looks brilliant.

0:10:45 > 0:10:49- And what do you reckon, Freya?- It's just like my picture, but bigger.

0:10:49 > 0:10:54Hey, I think you're right. Cos...here's your picture.

0:10:54 > 0:10:58Now look at it up on the wall. It looks great.

0:10:58 > 0:11:01We've got a brick left over from the picture.

0:11:01 > 0:11:05- You can have it, if you want. - Hey, that's very kind of you.

0:11:05 > 0:11:08- You know where I could put this? - In your log book.

0:11:08 > 0:11:13In my log book, that's right. Here we go.

0:11:13 > 0:11:16So, I put that next to the colourful yellow pebbles.

0:11:16 > 0:11:19We used those for the sunbeams, didn't we?

0:11:19 > 0:11:22And I'll pop your picture in, too, Freya.

0:11:24 > 0:11:25Why don't you go here and there

0:11:25 > 0:11:29and find out about the exciting places where you live?

0:11:29 > 0:11:31Well done!

0:11:31 > 0:11:34I went here!

0:11:34 > 0:11:36We've been there!

0:11:36 > 0:11:40We've been everywhere!

0:11:43 > 0:11:46Why don't you go to the CBeebies website,

0:11:46 > 0:11:50where you can make your very own Here And There log book, too?

0:11:51 > 0:11:54Tiddlers, I've got a big thank you to say to you,

0:11:54 > 0:11:58because I have had a cracking time at the Cone today.

0:11:58 > 0:12:00- Have you had fun?- Yeah!

0:12:00 > 0:12:02Yeah? I'm very glad to hear it.

0:12:02 > 0:12:04But it's time I hit the road.

0:12:04 > 0:12:07So, why don't you join me soon when I'll be...

0:12:07 > 0:12:09..here and there!

0:12:09 > 0:12:10You're right. Bye-bye!

0:12:10 > 0:12:12# Where is it you like to go?

0:12:12 > 0:12:15# Call me up and let me know

0:12:15 > 0:12:17# What is it you like to do?

0:12:17 > 0:12:19# I'll pop along and do it, too

0:12:19 > 0:12:22# Cities, towns and countryside

0:12:22 > 0:12:24# I can travel far and wide

0:12:24 > 0:12:26# I'm all about and everywhere

0:12:26 > 0:12:28# I'm here and there. #
