:00:22. > :00:24.It's more than 1,000 years since this type of wild cat,

:00:25. > :00:30.Now there's a new plan to re-introduce them

:00:31. > :00:36.into the English countryside, but not everyone's happy about it.

:00:37. > :00:38.A bit like a leopard, crossed with a pet cat.

:00:39. > :00:43.But there's no way you've seen a lynx wild in the UK.

:00:44. > :00:47.That's because they used to be hunted for their beautiful fur

:00:48. > :00:51.and became extinct in the UK about 1,300 years ago.

:00:52. > :00:55.A group called Lynx UK Trust wants to bring them back.

:00:56. > :00:57.They'd like to release six lynx to Kielder Forest in Northumberland

:00:58. > :01:00.for a five-year trial and they've been talking to local

:01:01. > :01:07.That's actually how big a real-life lynx is.

:01:08. > :01:15.Lynx live all over the world and in human history a healthy wild

:01:16. > :01:21.lynx has never ever ever attacked a human anywhere in the world.

:01:22. > :01:24.The Lynx Trust said the cats will help keep the deer population

:01:25. > :01:28.down as well as encouraging more tourists to visit the area.

:01:29. > :01:34.They are worried the lynx could be a threat to the sheep.

:01:35. > :01:40.I think it's an absolutely stupid idea for a predator that's not been

:01:41. > :01:45.in this country for 1,000 years to be released.

:01:46. > :01:49.As far as I'm concerned, the lynx will go for the easy target

:01:50. > :01:52.which is going to be a sheep and a lamb.

:01:53. > :01:56.The decision is now in the hands of a group called Natural England

:01:57. > :01:59.and if they say yes it's thought there could be eventually be

:02:00. > :02:12.as many as 400 lynx living in forests across the UK.

:02:13. > :02:15.Close your eyes and try to imagine what you will do in 2028.

:02:16. > :02:19.Well, it might seem a very long way away but that's when the Olympic

:02:20. > :02:22.and Paralympic Games are set to be held in Los Angeles in the US.

:02:23. > :02:25.LA had originally wanted the 2024 Games, but that event is now set

:02:26. > :02:29.Next - what's the best way to put out a fire?

:02:30. > :02:35.Well that's exactly what this Canadian couple did

:02:36. > :02:37.when they spotted a wildfire on the river bank.

:02:38. > :02:40.After calling the fire brigade, they drove

:02:43. > :02:46.Next to one boy, one metal detector, and one very exciting discovery.

:03:31. > :03:31.it was Roman and then after that we found another 200 pieces on the

:03:32. > :03:33.first day. are really important,

:03:34. > :03:35.because they're thought to be the oldest found

:03:36. > :03:37.outside the Roman Empire. They think the silver was used

:03:38. > :03:40.by Roman soldiers, as payment, when they were passing

:03:41. > :03:53.through Scotland, way back People used to think that this

:03:54. > :03:56.hacked up silver was to do with barbarians, couldn't understand the

:03:57. > :04:00.Roman art but now we see that happening in the Roman world itself.

:04:01. > :04:04.It is been cut carefully, it may look brutal but these things have

:04:05. > :04:07.been cut carefully in quarters to Roman weight standard.

:04:08. > :04:13.and his treasure is set to go on display at the National Museum

:04:14. > :04:17.A dog and his owner have been rescued after their car got stuck

:04:18. > :04:19.in a flood in Colorado, America.

:04:20. > :04:21.Petey's owner handed him over to the rescuers first

:04:22. > :04:24.before he would leave the flooded car himself.

:04:25. > :04:28.They then walked across a crane to safety and dry land.

:04:34. > :04:40.Well it turns out they both have the same name!

:04:41. > :04:46.RSPCA staff were called out to rescue the seal after it got stuck

:04:47. > :04:50.in some rocks in Merseyside. They named him Harry Stiles and have been

:04:51. > :04:51.looking after him at a rescue centre.
