0:00:39 > 0:00:42Hundreds of schools are still shut.

0:00:42 > 0:00:45In Hampshire and Avon and Somerset overnight,

0:00:45 > 0:00:48snow meant people became stuck on the roads and had

0:00:48 > 0:00:50to sleep in their cars.

0:00:50 > 0:00:58I've been taking a closer look at what's been going on.

0:01:23 > 0:01:30Do you think you're going to get out of here?Yeah, of course we will!

0:01:30 > 0:01:37Even the snow ploughs struggled to clear the roads.

0:01:37 > 0:01:40For lots of you, it s another snow day, as many schools remain closed.

0:01:40 > 0:01:48And lots of you have been sending us your weather reports!

0:01:50 > 0:01:51Hi, it is Reuben speaking from Dartmoor.

0:01:51 > 0:01:56Mine and my sister's schools and nursery have been closed.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59And although it is fun having a day off, we can't go outside

0:01:59 > 0:02:01because of how cold the snow is!

0:02:01 > 0:02:03off for some of you, this

0:02:03 > 0:02:05And while the snow novelty might be wearing

0:02:05 > 0:02:07off for some of you, this

0:02:21 > 0:02:23and some in the south, too.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26Next week will see temperatures start to pick up once again.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31after a serious gun attack there two weeks ago.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34The BBC's Paul Blake went to meet one of the students going back

0:02:35 > 0:02:36Hey, Newsround.

0:02:36 > 0:02:40I'm here outside a school in Florida in the United States.

0:02:40 > 0:02:42And it's a big day for students here.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45Their first day back in class since a gun attack two weeks

0:02:53 > 0:02:55I caught up

0:02:57 > 0:03:00about going back to school.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03It feels really weird, because I feel like I fell out of habit

0:03:03 > 0:03:04of going to school everyday.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07I'm still a little nervous.

0:03:07 > 0:03:11I think eventually it will be normal again,

0:03:11 > 0:03:13but not the same normal it was before the...

0:03:13 > 0:03:18Shooting.

0:03:18 > 0:03:21It'll probably be a new type of normal, because those 17 people

0:03:21 > 0:03:22aren't going to be there.

0:03:22 > 0:03:27As the students filed into class today, they were hoping

0:03:27 > 0:03:29to return to a normal life.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31Many people came to greet them and offer support.

0:03:31 > 0:03:33Throughout the school day, police stood guard outside the school

0:03:33 > 0:03:36so that all the students and teachers would feel safe.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39After class, Lila met up with some of her friends, and told me how

0:03:39 > 0:03:42she felt about her first day back on campus.

0:03:42 > 0:03:45It was really good to be back in my school.

0:03:45 > 0:03:50It was great to see everyone.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53People that we didn't even talk to, we talked to them and we let each

0:03:53 > 0:04:01other know that we have each other's back, we support each other,

0:04:01 > 0:04:08my friends and I, we hang out, and we paint and laugh and make

0:04:08 > 0:04:11jokes to make each other feel better, so we can all heal properly.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14We're very optimistic about the future, we are going

0:04:14 > 0:04:17to make sure everyone is OK and we're going to find ways that

0:04:17 > 0:04:20work for us, and we're just going to move on.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23Now over to the sport, and for the second time in a week,

0:04:23 > 0:04:25Manchester City have beaten Arsenal 3-0, this time in

0:04:25 > 0:04:27the Premier League.

0:04:27 > 0:04:33Take a look at this...

0:04:42 > 0:04:45points, and are now only five wins away from the title.
