0:01:48 > 0:01:50In Greater Manchester, the army was sent out to rescue

0:01:50 > 0:01:54hundreds of drivers whose vehicles were stranded in the snow.

0:01:54 > 0:01:58Weather forecasters say the cold weather could last into next week.

0:01:58 > 0:02:01In certain parts of the country, police are telling people not to

0:02:01 > 0:02:06travel unless absolutely necessary.

0:02:09 > 0:02:12got called out to deal with a pretty unusual situation -

0:02:25 > 0:02:28State troopers and firefighters tried for over an hour to catch

0:02:28 > 0:02:31them, causing huge traffic jams.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36Eventually, one of them was picked up off the road

0:02:36 > 0:02:39and when the second one legged it into a caravan park,

0:02:39 > 0:02:41some of the locals were able to rescue it.

0:02:41 > 0:02:44Thankfully, no dogs or people were hurt during the chase.

0:02:44 > 0:02:50Officials are now trying to find out if anyone owns the dogs.
