:00:20. > :00:27.Hi there, it's Ricky and Sonali with your end of the week Newsround.

:00:27. > :00:35.Coming up: the dangers of working with animals. This is one of the

:00:35. > :00:39.rarest cubs in the world. But what does the future hold? And the shot

:00:39. > :00:47.of a lifetime - but find out why this boy still missed out on a

:00:47. > :00:50.30,000 prize. But first, it's time for a galactic

:00:50. > :00:59.clean-up. We're not talking crisp packets and fast food wrappers but

:00:59. > :01:02.space junk - old rocket boosters and disused satellites. NASA has

:01:02. > :01:04.been warned there's far too much rubbish floating about in space,

:01:04. > :01:09.and scientists are worried the debris could smash into spacecraft.

:01:09. > :01:12.So how do you tidy up in zero gravity?

:01:13. > :01:16.Humans have been sending things into orbit for more than 50 years.

:01:16. > :01:22.Lots of it is stuff that's needed to get you into space but not back

:01:22. > :01:26.down, so it's just dumped. Around 20,000 big bits of junk are

:01:26. > :01:28.whizzing around at more than 17,000 miles an hour. The worry is they

:01:28. > :01:31.could collide with spaceships, putting astronauts at risk, or

:01:31. > :01:34.destroy valuable satellites. There have been near misses, like when

:01:34. > :01:37.the International Space Station had to dodge some space debris, forcing

:01:37. > :01:39.the crew to get into their escape capsules to prepare for an

:01:39. > :01:49.emergency evacuation. In 2009, two satellites crashed in orbit,

:01:49. > :01:54.

:01:54. > :02:00.creating lots more rubbish. talk about clumsy, this is the

:02:00. > :02:06.moment a NASA astronaut dropped a tool bag. So what's the solution?

:02:06. > :02:12.Space experts have come up with a few ideas, including magnetic nets

:02:12. > :02:18.to catch the junk, and an umbrella- shaped device to sweep up the

:02:18. > :02:22.debris. And we've had a few ideas of our own. The stardust sweeper.

:02:23. > :02:29.That's just really a big broom. Or for those tough to reach bits of

:02:29. > :02:31.junk there is always this. We've got an important few days

:02:31. > :02:34.coming up for the home nations footy-wise. The latest round of

:02:34. > :02:37.Euro 2012 qualifiers begins tonight. That's right. Here's a reminder of

:02:37. > :02:40.who's playing who. England could give Man United trio Chris Smalling,

:02:40. > :02:43.Phil Jones and Tom Cleverley their first outings with the senior side

:02:43. > :02:50.against Bulgaria this evening. Wales play Montenegro, and Northern

:02:50. > :02:53.Ireland take on Serbia. Scotland face the Czech Republic tomorrow.

:02:53. > :02:56.We all remember the pictures of the massive earthquake and tsunami that

:02:56. > :02:59.struck the north of Japan earlier this year. Thousands of people died

:02:59. > :03:03.and the destruction was devastating. But lots of people were saved

:03:03. > :03:06.because they knew exactly what to do. Earthquakes are so common in

:03:06. > :03:09.this part of the world that every year the whole country rehearses to

:03:09. > :03:12.make sure everyone is prepared if disaster strikes. And this year was

:03:12. > :03:15.no different. Hundreds of thousands of people took part in the drill

:03:15. > :03:17.across Tokyo. Commuters evacuated a station, protecting their heads

:03:17. > :03:27.from imaginary wreckage. Rescue teams practised freeing survivors

:03:27. > :03:27.

:03:27. > :03:30.from collapsed buildings. Tokyo is the largest city in the world, so

:03:30. > :03:32.if a big earthquake hits, millions of people could be trapped.

:03:32. > :03:42.Rehearsals like these might seem extreme, but being prepared can

:03:42. > :03:43.

:03:43. > :03:50.save lives. Time now for 11-year-old twin

:03:50. > :03:55.brothers. An ice hockey stick, a tiny hole and a 30,000 prize.

:03:55. > :04:02.The challenge was tough: with one shot, hit the hockey puck into a

:04:02. > :04:07.tiny hole and win a huge cash prize. Ip possible, some might say. But

:04:07. > :04:12.watch how 11-year-old Nate Smith wax the puck through the hole 27

:04:12. > :04:19.metres away. Call it luck, call it whatever you want, but that was

:04:19. > :04:25.impressive. So, cue celebrations. When I came to sit back down

:04:26. > :04:31.everyone was giving me high fives. But there was a small detail the

:04:31. > :04:35.twins didn't let slip to begin with. This was a charity challenge and

:04:35. > :04:42.Nate took part using his procedure's ticket. That was

:04:42. > :04:46.against the rules. They didn't get the cash prize but donators are

:04:46. > :04:53.giving 20,000 to the club. thought honesty was the best policy

:04:53. > :04:57.and we wanted to set a good example to the kids. Give them the prize!

:04:57. > :05:01.If you've seen better animal pictures than these today I want to

:05:01. > :05:07.know where. They are great but they are both seriously endangered. A

:05:07. > :05:11.new BBC show is finding the world's most at risk animals and finding

:05:11. > :05:18.out what can be done to protect their babies.

:05:18. > :05:23.Martin, tell us about Nature's Miracle Babies. What it is focusing

:05:23. > :05:28.on is work around the world to try to conserve endangered animals. We

:05:28. > :05:32.went to China to look at pandas. That's a huge success story, as it

:05:32. > :05:37.has taken them years to get right but gradually they've got better

:05:37. > :05:42.and now they have a 100% success record, so they all survive. What

:05:42. > :05:48.was it like spending time with such a beautiful creature? I got badly

:05:48. > :05:55.scratched but they were gentle with me. They for my clothes to shreds

:05:55. > :06:00.literally. They sound very gentle! We looked at leopards. There are

:06:00. > :06:04.nine different species of leopards in a sub-species and only 30 of

:06:04. > :06:11.this type left in the world, so it is really important that they can

:06:11. > :06:16.breed successfully in captivity. I got to hold two baby leopard cubs.

:06:16. > :06:21.They were really fierce but that's good. They need to be fierce. They

:06:21. > :06:26.need minimal contact with humans or they become like pets. Was it hard

:06:26. > :06:32.to look at these cute, cuddly pictures? That's the danger. We've

:06:32. > :06:36.got to love the ugly once as well. Some of the difficult ones, the

:06:36. > :06:41.little tamarind monkeys, they are not easy animals. They are grumpy

:06:41. > :06:48.and they fight with each other. But we have to try to love them as well.

:06:48. > :06:52.It is easy to love the panda. It is much harder to love an ear wig.

:06:52. > :06:57.Make sure you check out our baby animal Picture Gallery on the

:06:57. > :07:01.Newsround website. If you were told there was a

:07:01. > :07:08.crocodile in your pool you would be right to be scared, unless it it

:07:08. > :07:14.was that one. He turned up for an early morning zip in Darwin
