:00:22. > :00:32.Hi, everyone. It's Friday and you've got Joe and Hayely here with

:00:32. > :00:34.all today's news. We've got a packed programme and here's what's

:00:35. > :00:39.coming up. We get an exclusive interview with star striker Rooney.

:00:39. > :00:42.And find out why Top Gear's motormouth is in trouble.

:00:42. > :00:47.But first, volcano experts in Iceland have been keeping a close

:00:47. > :00:49.eye on what could be a massive eruption coming soon. In the last

:00:49. > :00:53.month, there have been lots of tremors detected underneath the

:00:53. > :01:00.glaciers. And people are worried they could lead to major floods.

:01:00. > :01:06.When volcanoes erupt, it's an amazing sight, but extremely

:01:06. > :01:11.dangerous to be nearby. This is Katla, a gigantic volcano

:01:11. > :01:16.in Iceland. It has a crater the size of a small city, seven miles

:01:16. > :01:19.wide. And hundreds of metres underground there are signs of

:01:19. > :01:26.activity that are keeping the volcano experts busy. They've

:01:26. > :01:30.detected tremors. More than 500 in the last month. That's pretty

:01:30. > :01:38.strong evidence that an eruption could be on its way. People living

:01:38. > :01:41.close by are worried. And with good reason. Last year a neighbouring

:01:41. > :01:44.volcano, Aya Fiertla Yerkill, erupted causing a massive ash cloud

:01:44. > :01:47.that covered our skies and stopped air travel right across the world.

:01:47. > :01:53.Airports were brought to a standstill and loads of people were

:01:53. > :01:58.stranded. It is just the elements, not a lot we can do about it.

:01:58. > :02:02.Nobody seems to be able to tell us what is happening. The movement of

:02:02. > :02:06.ash clouds is all down to the wind, so nobody knows if a new eruption

:02:06. > :02:09.in Iceland will cause the same kind of trouble. But on the ground,

:02:09. > :02:14.icebergs could be swept into the sea and the flooding could be

:02:14. > :02:17.immense. Last time Katla erupted was nearly 100 years ago. But in

:02:17. > :02:22.the one before that around 250 years ago, the water from the

:02:22. > :02:27.melted ice was enough to fill all of the world's rivers. So all eyes

:02:27. > :02:30.are on Katla to see what happens next.

:02:30. > :02:32.Next, Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has sparked a whopping

:02:32. > :02:40.21,000 complaints from viewers following comments he made on tv

:02:40. > :02:42.about the strikes earlier this week. He's made a career out of being

:02:42. > :02:45.outspoken and sometimes offensive but his latest suggestion on what

:02:45. > :02:55.should happen to the public sector workers who were protesting about

:02:55. > :02:58.

:02:58. > :03:02.changes to their pensions has got a lot of people angry.. I would take

:03:02. > :03:06.them outside and execute them in front of their family is, I would

:03:06. > :03:09.have them all shot. That was on The One Show earlier this week. But

:03:09. > :03:14.it's even got the Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition

:03:14. > :03:18.talking about it. It was a silly thing to say and I am sure he did

:03:18. > :03:22.not mean it. Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting comments.

:03:22. > :03:24.It's not the first time Clarkson has got himself into trouble. He's

:03:25. > :03:28.triggered complaints from disabled groups, has been accused of racism

:03:28. > :03:38.and even managed to make ex-Prime Minister Gordon Brown the butt of a

:03:38. > :03:42.

:03:42. > :03:52.joke. Clarkson has now apologised, Lots of you have been in touch

:03:52. > :04:07.

:04:07. > :04:11.Keep your comments coming in. A bit of Christmas spirit now. If there's

:04:11. > :04:14.one man who gets pretty busy around this time of year, it's... No, not

:04:14. > :04:21.Santa, but the Archbishop of York John Sentamu. He's definitely an

:04:21. > :04:31.archbishop with a bit of a When you think of churches, you

:04:31. > :04:35.

:04:35. > :04:38.probably think of this and this, This is the Archbishop of York Dr

:04:38. > :04:43.John Sentamu. The second most important man in the Church of

:04:43. > :04:47.England. Over the years, he's chopped up his dog collar on TV and

:04:47. > :04:53.lived for a week in a tent to protest against human rights abuse

:04:53. > :04:56.around the world. And he's hiked 280 miles for charity. So with

:04:56. > :05:05.Christmas just around the corner, we thought we'd ask him a few

:05:05. > :05:12.festive questions. What is the best Christmas present you ever had?

:05:12. > :05:18.must have been when I was about 10. I put my faith in Christ and on

:05:18. > :05:23.Christmas morning my father brought me a pair of short white trousers

:05:24. > :05:29.and a white shirt and some shoes. The shoes did not fit because they

:05:29. > :05:38.belonged to my brother! What is your favourite Christmas song?

:05:38. > :05:43.the herald angels sing, Loretta God. It is fantastic! -- glory to God.

:05:43. > :05:49.Who would you like a Christmas card from? Her Majesty the Queen. Every

:05:49. > :05:53.time I meet her, I feel she warmth coming towards me. As if you are

:05:53. > :05:56.the only person that matters. She has an amazing graciousness about

:05:56. > :05:59.her. So there we have it, quite an

:05:59. > :06:09.extraordinary Archbishop! And while he's getting on with his busy

:06:09. > :06:11.

:06:11. > :06:15.Christmas schedule, we'll leave you He is so cool!

:06:15. > :06:18.And if youre footy mad then make sure you watch Match of the Day

:06:18. > :06:23.Kickabout tomorrow because Ore is there with an exclusive chat with

:06:24. > :06:27.Wayne Rooney. He tells us what his real nickname

:06:27. > :06:37.is, who he sung with at his wedding and so much more. Here's a sneaky

:06:37. > :06:38.

:06:38. > :06:43.preview. I used to play it on the estate,

:06:43. > :06:48.aiming for the road signs! That was the target! The roadsides must have

:06:48. > :06:53.taken a battering? It got a bit silly in the end because we were

:06:53. > :06:58.aiming for them and in the end we were aiming overcast to try to hit

:06:58. > :07:03.them and stuff! Next, who needs the sun to go

:07:03. > :07:08.surfing. Not these guys. All they need is glow in the dark gear to

:07:08. > :07:13.catch some nightime waves in Australia. But how surfing has

:07:13. > :07:16.changed over the years! Check out the original surfer dudes. They

:07:16. > :07:20.needed big boards for the even bigger waves even back then. That's

:07:20. > :07:26.all for now. Joe's back with today's top stories just before
