:00:26. > :00:29.Good afternoon. This is Newsround. I'm Hayley, he's Joe and we've got

:00:29. > :00:34.about seven minutes to tell you everything you need to know. So

:00:34. > :00:40.here goes. Coming up, find out why you might

:00:41. > :00:45.not want this sandwich. And we get down with Rizzle Kicks.

:00:45. > :00:48.Today, John Terry has been sacked as the England Captain again. The

:00:48. > :00:51.Football Association don't think it's right for him to be Captain

:00:51. > :00:55.for the Euro 2012 finals while awaiting trial for accusations of

:00:55. > :00:59.using racist language to another player.

:00:59. > :01:02.John Terry, he's won dozens of trophies for Chelsea, played for

:01:02. > :01:08.his country more than 70 times and earlier this season led England

:01:08. > :01:11.through to the qualifiers of euro 20 12. But thanks to this incident,

:01:11. > :01:16.he won't be Captain for the rest of the competition because Terry is

:01:16. > :01:20.accused of making racially abusive remarks to QPR's Anton Ferdinand.

:01:20. > :01:24.He says he's not guilty but until his trial in the courts is over,

:01:24. > :01:29.the people who run football have decided he cannot be Captain.

:01:29. > :01:33.The key thing here, and I think this is why the FA have acted, if

:01:33. > :01:35.he remained as Captain, every single media event would have been

:01:35. > :01:39.dominated by this situation, all the questions would have been about

:01:39. > :01:42.this, so it would have been a big distraction. The other thing is

:01:42. > :01:45.that there are black players in the dressing room and many have made

:01:45. > :01:49.their feelings clear that they are not happy about this, they don't

:01:49. > :01:53.feel right, they didn't think the message was right so there could

:01:53. > :01:56.have been issues in the dressing room. It's not the first time he's

:01:56. > :02:00.handed back the arm band. Two years ago he stepped down when he was

:02:00. > :02:03.involved in a personal dispute with another player, Wayne Bridge. It's

:02:04. > :02:08.now up to manager Fabio Capello, to decide whether Terry should play in

:02:08. > :02:10.the tournament at all. Now we've been asking you guys

:02:10. > :02:20.whether you think John Terry should be allowed to play for England

:02:20. > :02:37.

:02:37. > :02:41.before his trial and we've had Joining us now is sports presenter

:02:41. > :02:45.Dan Walker. Hi. Hi. Do you think the Terry situation is affecting

:02:45. > :02:49.the England team? I would say yes, if they went to Euro 2012 and he

:02:49. > :02:53.was Captain, I think people described it as potentially a toxic

:02:53. > :02:57.situation. You heard Matt say there are some black players in the

:02:57. > :03:01.dressing room and it's a decision they had to make. The England

:03:01. > :03:04.Captain is a significant role, it does carry great weight and he will

:03:04. > :03:08.be very important, he's the mouth piece of the team as well, the one

:03:08. > :03:11.who stands up in the press conferences and, to have him as

:03:11. > :03:14.Captain for that tournament with all that's going on and the court

:03:14. > :03:17.case to be heard after the tournament, I don't think that's a

:03:17. > :03:20.situation the FA could have themselves in.

:03:20. > :03:25.Big decisions for Fabio Capello. Who do you think will be the next

:03:25. > :03:30.Captain? Most people are saying today there's three candidates.

:03:30. > :03:33.Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand. I spoke Tori owe

:03:33. > :03:36.Ferdinand and he doesn't want it. He's an interesting one, it's not

:03:36. > :03:40.just a football issue it's a family issue for him as well because his

:03:40. > :03:44.brother is the guy at the centre of the allegations of racial language

:03:44. > :03:48.being used. So he spoke at length about how it's affected the family

:03:48. > :03:52.and Anton particularly. He's spoken about racism in football in general

:03:52. > :03:55.and I think most footballers would look at this situation and say the

:03:55. > :03:59.right decision has been made, just if at the very least to take John

:03:59. > :04:04.Terry out of the firing line, yes. So we can see that interview and

:04:04. > :04:08.more tomorrow? Yes, football focus at 12.15 on BBC One.

:04:08. > :04:11.We'll tune in. Thank you very much. Next, a senior member of the

:04:11. > :04:15.Government has resigned from his job because he's been accused of

:04:15. > :04:20.telling lies to the police. It's claimed in 2003, the MP Chris

:04:20. > :04:28.Huhne was caught speeding in his car on camera, his wife accepted

:04:28. > :04:31.the penalty points on her licence. He and his ex-wife deny wrongdoing.

:04:31. > :04:35.It's been pretty chilly here at Newsround HQ.

:04:35. > :04:41.We have been told to expect snow over the weekend but it's a lot

:04:41. > :04:46.worse in Europe where the big freeze is claim -- has claimed more

:04:46. > :04:53.than 130 lives. Remote villagers have been cut off in Serbia and had

:04:53. > :04:58.to be rescued by snow mobile or helicopter. Pet owners are warned

:04:58. > :05:02.to keep pets away from anti-freeze and grit salt which can be

:05:02. > :05:07.dangerous. 2012 expected to be huge for two

:05:07. > :05:12.cheeky chappies, Rizzle Kicks. Newsround wouldn't miss out on the

:05:12. > :05:20.chance to bring you the hottest gossip from the stars, so here you

:05:20. > :05:26.What's going on? We are Rizzle Kicks. This is all about us.

:05:26. > :05:30.All things Rizzle Kicks. Yes. me getting the nickname Rizle when

:05:30. > :05:39.I was about 13 from a football school with some older kids, made

:05:39. > :05:43.it up, I don't know, but it stuck and kicks is football. The Hump is

:05:43. > :05:46.dance moves developed on stage after the song was actually made.

:05:46. > :05:56.People think that song was made with the intentions of it being a

:05:56. > :05:57.

:05:57. > :06:02.catchy dance, but the movement is like, bum, bum, bum, like that...

:06:02. > :06:07.It gives me the hump that I don't have the motivation to tidy my room.

:06:07. > :06:13.My 3G wireless Wi-Fi mobile modem, I get the hump that the bank

:06:13. > :06:23.cancelled my card. It annoys me every time Jedward are on TV. Sorry.

:06:23. > :06:24.

:06:24. > :06:28.I think the only thing is Yes, we have now which is pretty

:06:28. > :06:33.weird. We managed to make friends with a couple of footballers which

:06:33. > :06:43.is like a crazy thing for me. Daniel Sturridge keeps in touch

:06:43. > :06:45.

:06:45. > :06:55.with us and Keiron Gibbs. James Corden. And Ed. Yes, that's it. Ed

:06:55. > :06:55.

:06:55. > :07:01.Sheeran, Professor Green. Olly Murs. Right, now to a guy who's taken

:07:01. > :07:06.savvy saving to the extreme. This retired chemist from Germany said

:07:06. > :07:10.he decided to turn a tin of lard that was saved for 64 years and it

:07:10. > :07:16.was still edible. Turns out it was pretty gross but he ate it. I'll

:07:16. > :07:20.not go to his for tea any time soon! Just time to tell you footie

:07:20. > :07:23.fans about tomorrow's Match of the Day kickabout. CBBC's Roar
