:01:14. > :01:17.So what do the children here think now the UK is leaving?

:01:18. > :01:21.Well, I think it is kind of bad because it leaves the UK more

:01:22. > :01:30.don't have the support that we used to since we've left the EU.

:01:31. > :01:33.The EU has different rules from what other

:01:34. > :01:36.countries have, if we leave we will not be following them any

:01:37. > :01:38.more, so it might be a bit confusing.

:01:39. > :01:41.I don't like the fact that we are leaving but I guess it

:01:42. > :01:46.I think children should have had a say because it will affect their

:01:47. > :01:50.I hope they don't keep going on about it, if they are going

:01:51. > :01:56.And there's loads more about Brexit and what it all means

:01:57. > :02:01.Next up and we're talking about the problem of homelessness.

:02:02. > :02:04.An estimated 1.2 million young people in England have at some point

:02:05. > :02:07.stayed in an unsecured or unsafe place because they felt they had

:02:08. > :02:14.It's an issue that Alex in the CBBC's The Dumping Ground has

:02:15. > :02:18.been experiencing in a new storyline on the show.

:02:19. > :02:22.Well, Connor Lawson, who plays Alex on The Dumping Ground,

:02:23. > :02:24.and Gaia Marcus, who works for the charity

:02:25. > :02:35.Thank you for coming on Newsround. Connor, tell us about Alex? God he

:02:36. > :02:41.is a pretty troubled kid, he has never had a good background, he has

:02:42. > :02:45.constantly been in and out of care, does not have a good father figure,

:02:46. > :02:49.you has put a wallop against the world and are showing off his bad

:02:50. > :02:55.behaviour and persona, but he just wants to be wanted on to have love

:02:56. > :02:59.from somebody. What is it like playing bad character? Pretty hard,

:03:00. > :03:05.the total opposite end of the scale to me. -- playing that character? I

:03:06. > :03:16.have been nurtured and loved coming he has not, it is a real eye-opener

:03:17. > :03:18.and it has been good for me to see it from a different perspective. How

:03:19. > :03:21.did you prepare? I did Method acting, I met up with a homeless guy

:03:22. > :03:28.from Newcastle, he talked to me, it was good to see him still smiling.

:03:29. > :03:31.How big a problem as this, Gaia? About 1.2 million young people have

:03:32. > :03:37.at some point live somewhere where they feel unsafe or insecure. We

:03:38. > :03:41.started a centrepoint helpline. When young people end up rough sleeping

:03:42. > :03:46.it is because they often do not know there is help available, or they see

:03:47. > :03:52.Calpol do not get the right help. What help is available? -- or they

:03:53. > :03:57.seek help or do not get the right help. You should go to your local

:03:58. > :04:02.council, the centrepoint helpline is there to ensure you know your

:04:03. > :04:05.options and rights, but always note that people under 18 are children in

:04:06. > :04:11.the eyes of the law, even if they don't feel like it, and something

:04:12. > :04:12.can be done. There is loads of help. Thank you both for coming on to
