:02:05. > :02:08.think, I could be an Olympian playing rugby. That is exciting. It
:02:09. > :02:13.was not the case when any of us were growing up. The athletes are ready
:02:14. > :02:16.for Rio where the Olympics begin in just a couple of days' time.

:02:20. > :02:22.of the Games, a lot of us might be supporting Team GB,
:02:23. > :02:24.but there's also a whole new team to look out for.
:02:25. > :02:31.Two weeks, 42 sports, 206 countries competing in the world's
:02:32. > :02:40.Rio 2016 kicks off this week, but this year there's a new team
:02:41. > :02:45.For the first time, a team of ten refugees have been selected
:02:46. > :02:50.Refugees are people who have had to leave their own countries
:02:51. > :02:55.Athletes from the team are hoping to inspire others like them.
:02:56. > :02:59.For the refugees in Brazil and all the refugees around
:03:00. > :03:02.the world, we are going to represent you guys in a really good picture
:03:03. > :03:09.and I hope everyone will continue to achieve their dreams.
:03:10. > :03:12.The refugees will take part in three sports - athletics,
:03:13. > :03:19.They'll compete under the Olympic flag and that symbol
:03:20. > :03:22.will be next to their names in competitions, rather
:03:23. > :03:27.They'll also be taking part in the opening ceremony,
:03:28. > :03:30.marching in front of host country Brazil.
:03:31. > :03:35.For many years, they have been here and nobody
:03:36. > :03:39.told us that we could be given that opportunity.
:03:40. > :03:43.The athletes and Olympic organisers hope that
:03:44. > :03:46.by taking part in the Games, they can be a symbol of hope
:03:47. > :03:51.and highlight the problems faced by refugees around the world.
:03:52. > :03:56.As two of the world's rarest big cats have been born
:03:57. > :04:02.There are less than 300 Amur snow leopards left in the world,
:04:03. > :04:08.The cubs are the second pair born to mum Kristen and dad Davidoff
:04:09. > :04:14.and the zoo is really excited about their arrival.
:04:15. > :04:16.This is extremely good news because they are critically
:04:17. > :04:22.There are less than 70 of these animals left in the wild
:04:23. > :04:24.so they are on the brink of extinction and they are
:04:25. > :04:27.threatened mostly by illegal hunting and poaching of their skin,
:04:28. > :04:35.So the long-term hope is that we will safely be able
:04:36. > :04:37.to reintroduce some Amur leopards back into the wild to help
:04:38. > :04:39.reinforce the population that is already there.
