0:00:11 > 0:00:14Hello, I'm Hayley with all today's news including the top sporting

0:00:14 > 0:00:18action from the weekend.

0:00:18 > 0:00:20First to the Premier League where Manchester United beat Arsenal

0:00:20 > 0:00:233-1 in a thriller last night.

0:00:23 > 0:00:24United's goals came from Antonio Valencia

0:00:24 > 0:00:27and two by Jesse Lingard.

0:00:27 > 0:00:30Arsenal tried to fight back but they were stopped by a string

0:00:30 > 0:00:35of outstanding saves from United goalkeeper David de Gea.

0:00:35 > 0:00:38But it was a bad night for United's Paul Pogba, who was sent

0:00:38 > 0:00:42off for this tackle.

0:00:42 > 0:00:45He'll now miss the Manchester City derby next weekend.

0:00:45 > 0:00:47Liverpool beat Brighton 5-1.

0:00:47 > 0:00:48Roberto Firmino scored twice, sending the reds

0:00:48 > 0:00:50to fourth in the table.

0:00:50 > 0:00:53Everton won in Sam Allardyce's first match in charge,

0:00:53 > 0:00:55beating Huddersfield 2-0 thanks to goals from Gilfi Sigurdsson

0:00:55 > 0:01:02and Dominic Calvert-Lewin goals.

0:01:02 > 0:01:07Next, believe it or not, there's loads of junk floating

0:01:07 > 0:01:10around in space and it can be a problem for spacecraft and

0:01:10 > 0:01:12satellites trying to work up there.

0:01:12 > 0:01:14I've been finding out about a mission to give

0:01:14 > 0:01:21the atmosphere a clear-up!

0:01:21 > 0:01:26There are around half a million pieces of junk in space. Bits of old

0:01:26 > 0:01:30rockets, satellites that don't work and even things that astronauts have

0:01:30 > 0:01:36dropped. All that rubbish weighs around 7500 tonnes. That's more than

0:01:36 > 0:01:40the weight of 1000 elephants. And this space junk can do serious

0:01:40 > 0:01:45damage. Just a tiny flag of paint caused this crack on the

0:01:45 > 0:01:47International Space Station. A European satellite that stopped

0:01:47 > 0:01:51working years ago is still orbiting around Earth. It's the size of a

0:01:51 > 0:01:56double-decker bus and could be a big problem for satellite in its path

0:01:56 > 0:02:01trying to do their own job. But the removed debris spacecraft could be

0:02:01 > 0:02:06the answer. Next year, a team of UK scientists will test out a harpoon

0:02:06 > 0:02:10and a net to grab floating space junk. The rubbish will then burn up

0:02:10 > 0:02:23as it gets dragged back towards Earth. Good luck with the cleaning!

0:02:24 > 0:02:27Well, sticking with space, if you look to the sky tonight

0:02:27 > 0:02:30you could be in for a treat because the moon will appear far

0:02:30 > 0:02:31bigger and brighter.

0:02:31 > 0:02:33It's called a "Supermoon" and will look so big

0:02:33 > 0:02:35because its closer to Earth than usual.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Now, forget texting, snapchatting or instagramming your mates.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39These kids in Kidderminster are going old school.

0:02:39 > 0:02:41Dear Dad, thank you so much for your very lovely

0:02:41 > 0:02:45and well-written letter.

0:02:45 > 0:02:55Putting pen to paper.

0:02:56 > 0:02:58These guys are pen pals with a local home for

0:02:58 > 0:02:59the elderly.

0:02:59 > 0:03:02You get to listen to what places they've been to and what

0:03:02 > 0:03:03they've been doing.

0:03:03 > 0:03:04And cheeky stuff they've done.

0:03:04 > 0:03:07You get to ask them all the questions you really want

0:03:07 > 0:03:08and most the time they answer.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11Without Snapchat or Instagram, they're still having fun.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14But what do their older pen pals think about

0:03:14 > 0:03:16it?

0:03:16 > 0:03:19Enid, I got a letter from the school from one of your pen pals called

0:03:19 > 0:03:20Tilly.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22Shall I read it to you?

0:03:22 > 0:03:29They are lovely, those kids.

0:03:29 > 0:03:30Rhys asks, what was your favourite trip?

0:03:30 > 0:03:32Weston-Super-Mare.

0:03:32 > 0:03:34Weston-Super-Mare!

0:03:34 > 0:03:37Up to now, it's just been letters, but just before

0:03:37 > 0:03:40Christmas, they will meet in real life and be able to share their

0:03:40 > 0:03:44stories face-to-face.

0:03:44 > 0:03:48And if you thought that was strange then why not check out the week's

0:03:48 > 0:03:52strange news from the Newsround Team.

0:03:52 > 0:03:56Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus! Santa might struggle to

0:03:56 > 0:04:00get down the chimney at this house, though, because it's made out of

0:04:00 > 0:04:05gingerbread. Moores than 10,000 pieces of it. Over a tonne of icing

0:04:05 > 0:04:10and candy was also used. Sweet! It's a holiday tradition in San

0:04:10 > 0:04:15Francisco, and it's taken over two weeks to make it. I bet it wouldn't

0:04:15 > 0:04:23take the Newsround team that long to eat it. This is Donovan. He's got to

0:04:23 > 0:04:30be the oldest land animal in the world, at a whopping 185 years old.

0:04:30 > 0:04:36That explains all the wrinkles! He lives on the remote Atlantic Ocean

0:04:36 > 0:04:39island Saint Leonard, weird he's a bit of a local celebrity. When he

0:04:39 > 0:04:45was younger, he was of disrupting games of croquet and sitting under

0:04:45 > 0:04:53tables at the parties. He is one speSHELL targets. What a view! What

0:04:53 > 0:05:02are they doing? That is a pretty unusual way to get on a plane. These

0:05:02 > 0:05:06people decided to board a flying plane by throwing themselves off of

0:05:06 > 0:05:11a mountain in the Swiss Alps. They are both wearing flying suit and

0:05:11 > 0:05:15somehow managed to make it the door. I'm sure there is an easier way,

0:05:15 > 0:05:20guys. That was amazing!

0:05:20 > 0:05:24Finally, lots of you are getting in touch to tell us who you think

0:05:24 > 0:05:25should win tonight's X Factor final.

0:05:25 > 0:05:28Eleven-year-old Aiden from Edinburgh says he wants Rak-su to win

0:05:28 > 0:05:29because they are amazing.

0:05:29 > 0:05:31Summer from Darlington likes Rak-Su too because they are so fun

0:05:31 > 0:05:33and they make people happy.

0:05:33 > 0:05:36But ten-year-old Lizzy from West Yorkshire says

0:05:36 > 0:05:40she really wants Grace to win and loves her so much.

0:05:40 > 0:05:42And Baylie from Shropshire is supporting Grace

0:05:42 > 0:05:45because she writes her own songs and her voice is beautiful.

0:05:45 > 0:05:47Thank you to everyone who sent in messages.

0:05:47 > 0:05:50You can read more of them over on Newsround online.

0:05:50 > 0:05:51Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

0:05:51 > 0:05:59Whitney's back in the morning.
