:00:00. > :00:07.It's Sunday lunchtime and you're live with me Ricky, bringing you

:00:08. > :00:15.news of the Arctic trek with a difference. Plus why this street's

:00:16. > :00:22.been taken over by a giant water slide. This is Newsround.

:00:23. > :00:25.But first, the search is on for the one baby monkey still missing from

:00:26. > :00:29.Blackpool Zoo. Five primates were stolen earlier in the week but the

:00:30. > :00:33.youngest has still not been found. Here's Jenny with more on why the

:00:34. > :00:36.missing monkey's such a concern for zoo keepers.

:00:37. > :00:41.Cotton-top tamarins are critically endangered, with only 6,000 left in

:00:42. > :00:44.the wild. Two females and a young baby were taken on Tuesday night

:00:45. > :00:49.after thieves broke into the animals' enclosure. I think it's

:00:50. > :00:53.disgusting. We haven't had any primates ever stolen from the zoo.

:00:54. > :00:57.The primates that have been taken are very endangered animals. Two

:00:58. > :01:01.male emperor tamarins were also taken. Experts say individual

:01:02. > :01:04.monkeys can fetch hundreds, even thousands of pounds, on the black

:01:05. > :01:09.market, one of the reasons why they may have been taken. These animals

:01:10. > :01:14.can be worth quite a lot of money but to us the value is not

:01:15. > :01:18.important. We just wanted our animals back to make sure they were

:01:19. > :01:22.in a good condition. Then on Friday, a breakthrough. Lancashire Police

:01:23. > :01:27.found four of the monkeys abandoned on a doorstep in West Yorkshire.

:01:28. > :01:31.When I got to Halifax police station, they were in small metal

:01:32. > :01:35.cages. They looked in good condition but obviously they did look scared.

:01:36. > :01:38.But the baby cotton-top tamarin is still missing and the zoo says being

:01:39. > :01:42.away from the environment it was born in is worrying. Obviously we're

:01:43. > :01:46.still trying to find out where the remaining animal is. That baby's not

:01:47. > :01:50.independent at the moment. It relies on its mother. Police will continue

:01:51. > :01:54.their search for the baby monkey and it's hoped he'll be returned to his

:01:55. > :01:57.family here at Blackpool Zoo very soon.

:01:58. > :02:00.Now to some sad news from Afghanistan, where people are

:02:01. > :02:04.observing a national day of mourning after a huge landslide in one area

:02:05. > :02:07.of the country. Villagers are waiting for emergency food supplies

:02:08. > :02:11.and are having to sleep in temporary tents after houses and buildings

:02:12. > :02:14.were hit by falling mud and rocks from a nearby mountain. It's not

:02:15. > :02:19.know how many people have died but many are missing.

:02:20. > :02:23.Events like this are extremely rare. But if that or anything you see in

:02:24. > :02:26.the news upsets you, there's lots of help and advice on the Newsround

:02:27. > :02:29.website. In other news, Ukraine's Prime

:02:30. > :02:33.Minister has accused Russia and its supporters of trying to start a real

:02:34. > :02:35.war in the country. It follows growing violence between Ukraine's

:02:36. > :02:38.army and pro-Russian groups for control of important buildings in

:02:39. > :02:42.several towns and cities in the East. It's all due to a split in the

:02:43. > :02:46.country between those who want neighbouring Russia to have more

:02:47. > :02:50.influence and those who want Ukraine to be closer to the EU.

:02:51. > :02:54.To a scientific experiment that will send shivers down your spine next.

:02:55. > :02:57.Twins Hugo and Ross are testing how extreme temperatures affect the body

:02:58. > :03:07.by trekking across the arctic in clothing from both the modern day

:03:08. > :03:11.and 100 years ago. Hugo Andros are identical twins.

:03:12. > :03:19.They have spent months preparing for a very different Arctic expedition.

:03:20. > :03:23.-- you go and Ross. The brothers will track 340 miles across the

:03:24. > :03:26.Greenland polar ice cap to try to raise hundreds of thousands of

:03:27. > :03:34.pounds for charity. But the experience will be very different

:03:35. > :03:39.for each of them. Hugo will be in modern protective clothing, while

:03:40. > :03:42.Ross will be in kit worn by explorers 100 years ago. The

:03:43. > :03:49.brothers decided who would wear what by flipping a coin. The experiment

:03:50. > :03:53.will allow explorers to find out if Hugo benefits from advances in

:03:54. > :04:02.modern technology and nutrition. How is Ross coping? When I stopped for

:04:03. > :04:07.ten, 15 minutes, I can slightly feel the wind through here but all I have

:04:08. > :04:10.is a very thin jumper. I have three pairs of socks and I need to know

:04:11. > :04:16.how they perform in this environment, so I have tripled up to

:04:17. > :04:22.make sure I don't get frostbite. And then a pair of trousers, mittens, a

:04:23. > :04:27.hat and a balaclava. I am very comfortable. They are being guided

:04:28. > :04:32.by the world record-holder for the longest ever unsupported polar

:04:33. > :04:39.journey in Greenland. The weather is not all that great. It is what it

:04:40. > :04:45.is! We are warm and fed and watered, so it is a great team. All going

:04:46. > :04:49.well, the trek should take 22 days. Imagine if the main street in your

:04:50. > :04:52.city centre could be turned into a giant water slide. Well, that's

:04:53. > :04:56.exactly what happened today in Bristol. A 300-foot flume has been

:04:57. > :05:00.built as part of a massive art project that's meant to make people

:05:01. > :05:06.think about seeing their city from a different perspective. Andrew Plant

:05:07. > :05:11.is there. These things are made of hay bales,

:05:12. > :05:16.covered in plastic and then there is rubber sheeting to make things as

:05:17. > :05:20.slippery as possible. The all important thing is water and then

:05:21. > :05:25.they put washing up liquid on here to make people go as quick as

:05:26. > :05:33.possible. Here comes another one! Shooting past! We are told 100,000

:05:34. > :05:38.people applied for tickets! Just imagine that! They can only give out

:05:39. > :05:43.360, so just a tiny fraction of those who want to will get a chance

:05:44. > :05:50.to do this. We are going to show you some shots with a head camera of

:05:51. > :05:55.somebody going down. When you are on there and lowdown, it does look

:05:56. > :05:58.quite quick. I want to go to Bristol but I can't! I have to be here at

:05:59. > :06:00.2pm to see you later.
