:00:00. > :00:12.Good afternoon, you're live with me, Ricky, and the water slide that's
:00:13. > :00:18.taken over a city is on the way... Coming up: The giant water slide
:00:19. > :00:22.that is taking over a city plus why you would be for given for thinking
:00:23. > :00:24.you are seeing a double. It's Newsround.
:00:25. > :00:28.But first, zookeepers say they're worried a baby monkey stolen from
:00:29. > :00:31.its cage earlier this week might struggle to survive without the
:00:32. > :00:34.right care and attention. Four other primates that were illegally taken
:00:35. > :00:38.from Blackpool zoo have been returned but the youngest is still
:00:39. > :00:41.missing. Here's Jenny with more. Cotton-top tamarins are critically
:00:42. > :00:46.endangered, with only 6,000 left in the wild. Two females and a young
:00:47. > :00:55.baby were taken on Tuesday night after thieves broke into the
:00:56. > :00:59.animal's enclosure. I think it is disgusting. We have not ever had any
:01:00. > :01:03.primates stolen from the zoo and the ones that have been taken very
:01:04. > :01:06.endangered animals. Two male emperor tamarins were also taken Experts say
:01:07. > :01:09.individual monkeys can fetch hundreds, even thousands, of pounds
:01:10. > :01:11.on the black market, one of the reasons why they may have been
:01:12. > :01:15.taken. The animals can be worth quite a lot
:01:16. > :01:22.of money but to us the value is not important, we just wanted our
:01:23. > :01:25.animals back. We wanted to make sure they were in a good condition.
:01:26. > :01:28.Then on Friday a breakthrough. Lancashire Police found four of the
:01:29. > :01:31.monkeys abandoned on a doorstep in West Yorkshire.
:01:32. > :01:34.When I got to Halifax police station they were in small metal cages. They
:01:35. > :01:40.looked in good condition but obviously they did look scared.
:01:41. > :01:44.But the baby cotton-top tamarin is still missing and the zoo says being
:01:45. > :01:50.away from the environment it was born in is worrying. Obviously we
:01:51. > :01:54.are still trying to find out whether -- where the remaining animal is.
:01:55. > :01:57.That baby is dependent on its mother at the moment. Police will continue
:01:58. > :02:00.their search for the baby monkey. It's hoped he will be returned to
:02:01. > :02:02.his family here at Blackpool Zoo very soon.
:02:03. > :02:05.In other news: Ukraine's Prime Minister's accused Russia and its
:02:06. > :02:08.supporters of trying to start a real war in the country.
:02:09. > :02:10.It follows growing violence between Ukraine's army and pro-Russian
:02:11. > :02:14.groups for control of important buildings in several towns and
:02:15. > :02:17.cities in the East. It's all due to a split in the country between those
:02:18. > :02:22.who want neighbouring Russia to have more influence and those who want
:02:23. > :02:27.Ukraine to be closer to the EU. Next: Imagine if the main street
:02:28. > :02:30.where you live could be turned into a giant water slide? Well, that's
:02:31. > :02:34.exactly what's happened today in Bristol with a 300 foot flume built
:02:35. > :02:36.as part of a massive art project. The BBC's Andrew Plant's been there
:02:37. > :02:50.all day. Shooting down one of Bristol's main
:02:51. > :02:53.streets, it is also one of the steepest in the city, closed to cars
:02:54. > :02:59.since early this morning and converted into a giant water slide.
:03:00. > :03:03.It is all the idea of one local artist. I suppose I am getting
:03:04. > :03:08.people to think about the city in a new way. Imagine if slides were
:03:09. > :03:12.installed all around it is as a way of commuting to work, wouldn't it be
:03:13. > :03:16.fun? The key ingredient is the washing up liquid they have been
:03:17. > :03:22.adding to the slide all morning and the more they put on, the faster
:03:23. > :03:29.they go. It was really good. Because I am light I was ready fast. It was
:03:30. > :03:32.really good fun. The first Sunday in every month in Bristol will see the
:03:33. > :03:35.centre closed to traffic and there are plenty more ideas for plenty
:03:36. > :03:40.more imaginative ways to move around.
:03:41. > :03:44.I absolutely love it. Footy and Chelsea have a chance to
:03:45. > :03:47.go top of the Premier League this afternoon if they beat Norwich.
:03:48. > :03:51.Manchester City are still favourites to win the league after a vital over
:03:52. > :03:53.Everton put them top with a game in hand yesterday. Fuham and Cardiff
:03:54. > :03:56.were both relegated. To a scientific experiment that will
:03:57. > :04:00.send shivers down your spine next. Twins Hugo and Ross are testing how
:04:01. > :04:03.extreme temperatures affect the body by trekking across the Arctic in
:04:04. > :04:14.clothing from both the modern day and 100 years ago.
:04:15. > :04:21.Hugo and Ross are identical twins and they spent months preparing for
:04:22. > :04:26.a very different Arctic expedition. The brothers will trek 340 miles
:04:27. > :04:30.across the Greenland polar icecap to try and raise hundreds of thousands
:04:31. > :04:35.of pounds for charity. The experience will be very different
:04:36. > :04:38.for each of them. You go will be dressed in modern protective
:04:39. > :04:43.clothing while Ross will be wearing the sort of kit used by polar
:04:44. > :04:47.explorers 100 years ago. The brothers decided who would wear what
:04:48. > :04:52.by flipping a coin. The experiment will allow researchers to monitor if
:04:53. > :05:25.and how Hugo benefits from advances in modern technology and nutrition.
:05:26. > :05:28.They began the exhausting trek earlier in the week so how is Ross
:05:29. > :05:31.coping wearing the type of kit explorers wore many years ago? When
:05:32. > :05:34.I stop for ten or 15 minutes I can start to slightly feel the wind but
:05:35. > :05:37.all I have is a very thin jumper and nothing else. I have three socks in
:05:38. > :05:40.my shoes and I need to know how they perform in this environment so I
:05:41. > :05:43.have tripled up to make sure I do not get frostbite and I have just a
:05:44. > :05:46.pair of trousers, mittens and a hat and a balaclava. I am very trek
:05:47. > :05:49.should take 22 all going well, the trek should take 22 Finally if
:05:50. > :05:52.you're looking at this and think you're seeing double, don't worry,
:05:53. > :05:56.there's supposed to be two of them. These are the pictures from a huge
:05:57. > :05:58.festival for twins in China. More than 1000 sets of twins attended.
:05:59. > :05:59.Spot
