:03:14. > :03:17.That's enough to fill 4,000 Olympic-sized pools.

:03:20. > :03:32.This is possible by using this device.

:03:33. > :03:34.Inside the device there are bacteria eating the urine

:03:35. > :03:43.And those electrons are forced to flow through an external circuit.

:03:44. > :03:49.It's this flow of electrons that is actually electricity.

:03:50. > :03:51.This technology isn't new, but what's different about this

:03:52. > :03:53.device is that it's smaller, cheaper and more powerful.

:03:54. > :04:00.Well, because this is a fuel that we'll never run out of.

:04:01. > :04:03.Every day, we produce something like a litre and a half of urine.

:04:09. > :04:13.This is what we're working on at the moment, to be able

:04:14. > :04:16.to generate enough power for a smartphone, a laptop

:04:17. > :04:22.OK, so powering my phone isn't the most important thing,

:04:23. > :04:25.of course, but it's hoped, one day, this technology could be

:04:26. > :04:29.used to provide electricity to people in poorer countries.
