0:00:10 > 0:00:15And a very unusual wedding.
0:00:23 > 0:00:24Wimbledon has started.
0:00:24 > 0:00:27And Andy Murray got over worries about his sore hip
0:00:27 > 0:00:29to win his opening match.
0:00:29 > 0:00:32The reigning champ beat Alexander Bublik in under two hours
0:00:32 > 0:00:36and will play Germany's Dustin Brown in Round Two.
0:00:36 > 0:00:39And it was a pretty easy day for British number one
0:00:39 > 0:00:41Johanna Konta, who got through to the next round
0:00:41 > 0:00:44where she'll play Donna Vekic.
0:00:44 > 0:00:46Now, did you know that nearly 40,000 tennis fans came
0:00:46 > 0:00:49through the turnstiles here at Wimbledon on
0:00:49 > 0:00:50the first day alone?
0:00:50 > 0:00:52That's a lot!
0:00:52 > 0:00:55So we caught up with a few of them to find out what they were
0:00:55 > 0:00:58looking forward to.
0:00:58 > 0:00:59It's Wimbledon.
0:00:59 > 0:01:03It's one of the biggest events in the world.
0:01:03 > 0:01:07I'm very excited to be here at Wimbledon because I haven't
0:01:07 > 0:01:11met many players and I've only seen them on TV.
0:01:11 > 0:01:13It's really amazing to be here.
0:01:13 > 0:01:14I've never been here before.
0:01:14 > 0:01:19It's really different than I imagined in my head.
0:01:19 > 0:01:23I like Nadal and Federer.
0:01:23 > 0:01:24They are really good and they're really graceful
0:01:24 > 0:01:26when they hit their shots.
0:01:26 > 0:01:29I really, really want to see Andy Murray because he is ranked
0:01:29 > 0:01:32number one in the world and I can't wait to see him play.
0:01:32 > 0:01:36It's amazing because he's the person I look up to when I play tennis
0:01:36 > 0:01:38and I just want to be like when I'm older.
0:01:38 > 0:01:42I know I'm going to see the Nadal match on Court One.
0:01:42 > 0:01:47I'm going to see a bit of the Venus Williams match.
0:01:47 > 0:01:49I saw Federer over there warming up.
0:01:49 > 0:01:51What?!
0:01:51 > 0:01:52Everyone loves puffins.
0:01:52 > 0:01:55But things haven't been so great for these guys lately.
0:01:55 > 0:01:58Across the UK, their numbers are down and now there's a threat
0:01:58 > 0:02:00they could disappear altogether.
0:02:00 > 0:02:03Whitney has been to find out more.
0:02:05 > 0:02:06What do we know about puffins?
0:02:06 > 0:02:09They are small, brilliant swimmers.
0:02:09 > 0:02:12They are often paired together for life.
0:02:12 > 0:02:13How sweet.
0:02:13 > 0:02:17I'm here in the very windy Ilse of Mull, as you can see by my hair,
0:02:17 > 0:02:20to take that boat out to the island of Lunga to see some.
0:02:20 > 0:02:23Dave, who is a bird expert in Mull, is going to help me find
0:02:23 > 0:02:31out more about puffins.
0:02:31 > 0:02:38It has been a long journey but we finally made it.
0:02:38 > 0:02:39Check this out.
0:02:39 > 0:02:40They are everywhere.
0:02:40 > 0:02:43Take a look at this.
0:02:43 > 0:02:45They are so cute.
0:02:45 > 0:02:47Hello.
0:02:47 > 0:02:50Just behind us is some beautiful birds.
0:02:50 > 0:02:53Apart from being beautiful, what is so special about them?
0:02:53 > 0:02:55These puffins are now in serious trouble.
0:02:55 > 0:02:57They are on what you call the red list.
0:02:57 > 0:02:59They could go extinct.
0:02:59 > 0:03:02One in ten of all puffins come from the UK so we have got that
0:03:02 > 0:03:05responsibility to look after them.
0:03:05 > 0:03:07Elsewhere, places like Iceland and parts of northern Scotland,
0:03:07 > 0:03:11the puffin colonies have gone and that is what we are
0:03:11 > 0:03:13really worried about.
0:03:13 > 0:03:16Why are they declining in other parts of the UK?
0:03:16 > 0:03:19What we think is the biggest decline is to do with global warming
0:03:19 > 0:03:20and climate change.
0:03:20 > 0:03:26These birds have evolved to catch particular types of fish
0:03:26 > 0:03:29in particular temperatures of seas and as the temperature of the sea
0:03:29 > 0:03:32is rising those fish are moving further away and out of reach
0:03:32 > 0:03:33of the puffins.
0:03:33 > 0:03:35What can we do in order to protect these puffins?
0:03:35 > 0:03:38The RSPB has launched Project Puffin and it is trying to get people
0:03:38 > 0:03:41to take photographs of the puffins as they come in with
0:03:41 > 0:03:42the fish that they catch.
0:03:42 > 0:03:44They catch things like sand eels.
0:03:44 > 0:03:47With that we can work out why there is a problem in other
0:03:47 > 0:03:48parts of their range.
0:03:48 > 0:03:50Why do you love them so much?
0:03:50 > 0:03:52They are just fantastic little characters, aren't they?
0:03:52 > 0:03:55Just the fact that they look so happy and secure
0:03:55 > 0:03:58and yet we know deep down now that they are in trouble.
0:03:58 > 0:04:03We could really help this bird and keep it looking bright
0:04:03 > 0:04:06and cheerful and happy and go on enjoying it for years to come.
0:04:06 > 0:04:10I think it is time to leave these funny and beautiful birds
0:04:10 > 0:04:12in peace but honestly, despite the weather, I could sit
0:04:12 > 0:04:16here and watch them all day.
0:04:16 > 0:04:19Next up, on to US President Donald Trump, who is being criticised again
0:04:19 > 0:04:21for what he's put on social media.
0:04:21 > 0:04:25Watch this.
0:04:25 > 0:04:30Believe it or not, this is Donald Trump.
0:04:30 > 0:04:34The US President has put this video on social media.
0:04:34 > 0:04:38It's an old clip of him appearing on a wrestling TV show but with CNN
0:04:38 > 0:04:42over the face of his opponent.
0:04:42 > 0:04:45CNN is a news organisation in America that he has been
0:04:45 > 0:04:48in a long argument with.
0:04:48 > 0:04:52Fake News, CNN, fake.
0:04:52 > 0:04:56He calls them fake news and says they make up
0:04:56 > 0:04:57false stories about him.
0:04:57 > 0:05:01Loads of people, including some in his own party,
0:05:01 > 0:05:04say this sort of thing is really bad behaviour for a President
0:05:04 > 0:05:07and he shouldn't be doing it but his supporters say they are just
0:05:07 > 0:05:09jokes and they really like his style.
0:05:09 > 0:05:12Donald Trump just says he is being a modern President
0:05:12 > 0:05:22by using social media in this way.
0:05:22 > 0:05:24In Mexico, where this happened over the weekend.
0:05:24 > 0:05:26The mayor of San Pedro Huamelula married a crocodile.
0:05:26 > 0:05:29Now, this is a tradition that dates back hundreds of years.
0:05:29 > 0:05:32It's part of a festival to celebrate the town's patron saint.
0:05:32 > 0:05:37The reptile bride, dressed in white with a flower crown on its head,
0:05:37 > 0:05:41is taken around the town to music before the ceremony takes place.
0:05:41 > 0:05:44I hope there were no crocodile tears.
0:05:44 > 0:05:48That's all from me.
0:05:48 > 0:05:51Newsround's back at 4:20pm with Hayley.
