:00:23. > :00:24.30 primary school children from across Wales have written postcards

:00:25. > :00:27.about their hopes for the future, to world leaders who arrive in Newport

:00:28. > :00:31.for the NATO summit - that's a big meeting of some of the world's most

:00:32. > :00:34.powerful people. The messages from nine and ten-year-olds will be given

:00:35. > :00:40.to Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama.

:00:41. > :00:44.When I grow up, I hope people will not waste money and make sure there

:00:45. > :00:50.is food and water for children across the world.

:00:51. > :00:54.When I grow up, I want all children to be able to go to school because

:00:55. > :00:57.everyone should have equal rights, even if they are a boy or a girl, or

:00:58. > :01:06.And tonight we'll have a special report on US President Obama's visit

:01:07. > :01:10.to a school in Wales. And you can let us know on the Newsround website

:01:11. > :01:16.what you'd change in the world if you could talk to world leaders.

:01:17. > :01:19.Wildfires are continuing to rage in Northern California in the

:01:20. > :01:22.US,putting hundreds of people and animals at risk. Many have been

:01:23. > :01:31.moved out of their homes to stay safe.

:01:32. > :01:38.The fire spread as the wind whipped it up. Mile after mile, the flames

:01:39. > :01:44.eight up the trees. They have already destroyed over 100 miles of

:01:45. > :01:49.land. Helicopters, carrying huge bowls of water, flew over at these

:01:50. > :01:56.milk, dropping hundreds of gallons. They are trying to protect over 750

:01:57. > :02:00.homes at risk. People living in some of the homes have been forced to

:02:01. > :02:06.evacuate to escape the fire. So far, no one has been injured. But the

:02:07. > :02:07.fire is inching closer. It started in August when lightning struck.

:02:08. > :02:17.Firefighters believe If you've ever dreamed of being an

:02:18. > :02:20.astronaut floating high above the Earth at the International Space

:02:21. > :02:22.Station - the UK's very first space school opened this week. It's

:02:23. > :02:25.designed to give pupils the best chance of getting a job to do with

:02:26. > :02:28.space. It's in Banbury in Oxfordshire. BBC reporter Helen Catt

:02:29. > :02:37.sent us this special report. the fire a rocket, blasting off to

:02:38. > :02:42.learn new things about space. What if you learnt about it every day at

:02:43. > :02:49.school? This is something not many people get to experience. I love

:02:50. > :02:55.learning about new things. I think it is the fact that space is the

:02:56. > :03:03.final frontier. It is like we are the first people, kind of two learn

:03:04. > :03:08.about it. There is no home work but the children have to go to school

:03:09. > :03:13.for longer. From 830 in the morning to 530 at night. There is an

:03:14. > :03:17.assembly. Some of these teenagers could one day be rocket scientists.

:03:18. > :03:22.The headmaster says he hopes others will start companies. They have

:03:23. > :03:29.video channels, sponsorship from you Tube. We want to harness that idea

:03:30. > :03:36.and dumb people have fantastic ideas. These pupils are designing a

:03:37. > :03:37.class logo. Maybe one day someone will wear one for real.

:03:38. > :03:40.Andy Murray took a gruelling three hours and thirty three minute

:03:41. > :03:44.beating from Novak Djokovic - losing in four sets in the quarter finals

:03:45. > :03:47.of the US Open tennis in the past few hours. He fought back time after

:03:48. > :03:50.time - despite problems with his back - but in the end was overcome

:03:51. > :03:55.Next - it's been a another successful summer for Great

:03:56. > :03:57.Britain's paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock. Jonnie sprinted to victory

:03:58. > :04:00.to win 100 metre gold at the European Championships last month in

:04:01. > :04:03.Swansea. He can add it to his growing collection of golds from the

:04:04. > :04:07.Paralympics and the World Champs. And he's here now to tell us how to

:04:08. > :04:18.be the best. Great to have you with us, Jonnie.

:04:19. > :04:28.Were you born like this? The last six years of my life have been

:04:29. > :04:35.dedicated to buy tix, so it doesn't come luckily. You have work hard.

:04:36. > :04:39.People might not know but you run with one leg. Can you give us an

:04:40. > :04:46.idea of the challenges you have to overcome to run with one leg? I have

:04:47. > :04:53.one prostatic leg and one real leg. One is not quite symmetrical. So, it

:04:54. > :04:58.is like trying to control that and make it as symmetrical as possible.

:04:59. > :05:05.Did it take you a while to get used to it? Yes. It took a while to start

:05:06. > :05:11.to get to somewhere I was happy with in running. How did you get involved

:05:12. > :05:15.in sprinting? I got to try out so many different Paralympic sports a

:05:16. > :05:19.few years ago and from there I got set up with an athletics coach and

:05:20. > :05:25.things moved from there. Who inspired you to take up sport? David

:05:26. > :05:33.Beckham. I was football mad as a kid. I wanted to be him. What advice

:05:34. > :05:38.would you give to kids wanting to get involved in sport? Go down to

:05:39. > :05:42.your local sports club. There are school sports and so many things you

:05:43. > :05:48.can do. Find something that you enjoy. Give it a go, you never know.

:05:49. > :05:54.I wasn't sure about athletics but I tried it and I loved it. I could be

:05:55. > :05:58.seeing you at a future event. Thank you. We're back in half an hour.

:05:59. > :06:00.Goodbye.
