0:00:13 > 0:00:17Hi, I'm Whitney and this is Newsround.
0:00:17 > 0:00:21First up to football, and Manchester took on West Ham last night.
0:00:21 > 0:00:23The Hammers scored first but Nicolas Otamendi made
0:00:23 > 0:00:25the scores equal again.
0:00:25 > 0:00:29Then David Silva gave City the win with just seven minutes to go.
0:00:29 > 0:00:32The victory made it a record-equalling 13th
0:00:32 > 0:00:35Premier League match wins in a row for City.
0:00:35 > 0:00:37Cricket now, and England are battling it out
0:00:37 > 0:00:44with Australia in the Ashes.
0:00:44 > 0:00:47It's best of five games to win the competition and Austalia
0:00:47 > 0:00:48have already won one.
0:00:48 > 0:00:50It looks like they'll be taking the second.
0:00:50 > 0:00:52Australia scored 442 runs in their first innings and currently
0:00:52 > 0:00:56England are just 219 for 8 wickets.
0:00:56 > 0:00:59Not looking great.
0:00:59 > 0:01:02And in tennis, Alfie Hewett became the first British Champion in 23
0:01:02 > 0:01:04years to win the singles titles in Loughborough at the Wheelchair
0:01:04 > 0:01:07Tennis Masters over the weekend.
0:01:07 > 0:01:11Hewett beat his doubles partner Gordon Reid in the final.
0:01:11 > 0:01:14Did you watch the X Factor final last night?
0:01:14 > 0:01:16Well if you don't want to know who won, look away now!
0:01:16 > 0:01:24Ready?
0:01:24 > 0:01:32I can now reveal the winner of the X Factor 2017 is...Rak-Su!
0:01:32 > 0:01:33It was Rak-Su!
0:01:33 > 0:01:36They're the first boy band to win the show since it started in 2004.
0:01:36 > 0:01:38They beat Grace Davies in the final.
0:01:38 > 0:01:40Their first single is called Dimelo, and all the money raised
0:01:40 > 0:01:45from it will go to charity.
0:01:45 > 0:01:47We want you to get in touch about all things X Factor.
0:01:47 > 0:01:49Did the right act win, and why?
0:01:49 > 0:01:52Are you a raving about Rak-Su or did you think Grace was great?
0:01:52 > 0:01:55Next, to a young footballer with a big dream.
0:01:55 > 0:01:58Jessica lives in Liberia in West Africa, where girls haven't
0:01:58 > 0:01:59traditionally played football - but she's hoping
0:01:59 > 0:02:06to help change that.
0:02:06 > 0:02:08Hi, my name is Jessica.
0:02:08 > 0:02:11Welcome to my home.
0:02:11 > 0:02:14Jessica's ten years old.
0:02:14 > 0:02:18She lives in West Point, which is the biggest slum in Liberia.
0:02:18 > 0:02:21This is where I started playing football when I was six years old.
0:02:21 > 0:02:24She was spotted by a talent scout and has spent
0:02:24 > 0:02:27the last couple of years at the Monrovia football academy.
0:02:27 > 0:02:32It's the first one in Africa to take on both boys and girls.
0:02:32 > 0:02:34In West Africa, the female football is not well structured,
0:02:34 > 0:02:37but this is what we're trying to change, to give the girls access
0:02:37 > 0:02:39to opportunities out there.
0:02:39 > 0:02:41When they're playing good football, they can have opportunities
0:02:41 > 0:02:46of a professional football contract.
0:02:46 > 0:02:49I fell in love with football because I want to be
0:02:49 > 0:02:55a good football player, and I love football very much.
0:02:55 > 0:02:59Nearly two thirds of children in Liberia have never been
0:02:59 > 0:03:05to school, so the academy helps with learning off the pitch, too.
0:03:05 > 0:03:08Jessica's had the chance to play in international games,
0:03:08 > 0:03:11and it's her dream to one day be part of one of Europe's
0:03:11 > 0:03:14biggest clubs, Real Madrid.
0:03:14 > 0:03:18You go, girl!
0:03:18 > 0:03:22Now have you ever been on a journey and lost something along the way?
0:03:22 > 0:03:25Maybe it was your favourite teddy bear.
0:03:25 > 0:03:27Well, that's exactly what happened to ten-year-old Eve.
0:03:27 > 0:03:30Here are the 'bear' facts.
0:03:30 > 0:03:32Basil's a chocolate Labrador teddy and he's really special to me
0:03:32 > 0:03:37because he looks like my dog, Archie.
0:03:37 > 0:03:40I take him everywhere.
0:03:40 > 0:03:45We were going to Canada that day, and I forgot all about Basil,
0:03:45 > 0:03:50I thought he was in my bag or I thought my mum had packed him
0:03:50 > 0:03:53up, so we went onto the flight, but he wasn't in my bag.
0:03:53 > 0:03:55I was crying my heart out on the plane.
0:03:55 > 0:03:59I just thought, "Oh, no, I've not got Basil any more."
0:03:59 > 0:04:04And ten-year-old Eve isn't the only one to lose a teddy this year.
0:04:04 > 0:04:05I found another one.
0:04:05 > 0:04:06Another one, is it?
0:04:06 > 0:04:09Put it in with the rest.
0:04:09 > 0:04:12But this year, instead of leaving all the teddies in lost property,
0:04:12 > 0:04:15Glasgow Airport decided to try something a little bit different.
0:04:15 > 0:04:18So, every year at Glasgow airport, we have about 10 million people
0:04:18 > 0:04:21who travel through our doors, and for some of the younger
0:04:21 > 0:04:24travellers they are coming along with their best friend,
0:04:24 > 0:04:27their teddies, and we all know how upsetting it can be
0:04:27 > 0:04:33if they become separated.
0:04:33 > 0:04:37So we went over to the lost property office, we found there were teddies
0:04:37 > 0:04:39sitting lonely on the shelves, and we felt, we need
0:04:39 > 0:04:44to do something, we need to try and reunite them.
0:04:44 > 0:04:46They made a video showing off all the teddies in lost property
0:04:46 > 0:04:47and posting it online.
0:04:47 > 0:04:48And guess what?
0:04:48 > 0:04:50The video went viral.
0:04:50 > 0:04:51Turned up on Good Morning Germany TV.
0:04:51 > 0:04:56It was on TV in Japan.
0:04:56 > 0:04:58It was overwhelming.
0:04:58 > 0:05:01We just really didn't anticipate the level
0:05:01 > 0:05:03of interest we'd receive.
0:05:03 > 0:05:07And, amazingly, Eve's mum was one of the people who saw it.
0:05:07 > 0:05:09I didn't think I would actually get him back.
0:05:09 > 0:05:16I just feel so excited, happy, overwhelmed.
0:05:16 > 0:05:21He means so much, he means the world to me.
0:05:25 > 0:05:27I believe this is yours?
0:05:27 > 0:05:31Yeah.
0:05:31 > 0:05:40Missed you.
0:05:40 > 0:05:42It is like the end of a film!
0:05:42 > 0:05:45Finally, it's a bit embarassing when you try to do something and it
0:05:45 > 0:05:47doesn't quite work - especially if lots of
0:05:47 > 0:05:48people are watching.
0:05:48 > 0:05:50Well, that's what happened when construction workers tried
0:05:50 > 0:05:52to knock down this unused sports stadium in America.
0:05:52 > 0:05:55They had planned to blow up the Silverdome in Detroit, Michigan.
0:05:55 > 0:05:58But, it didn't quite work!
0:05:58 > 0:06:01I wonder how they'll try to take it down now?!
0:06:01 > 0:06:03That's it from me, we'll be back at 4.20pm.
