:00:00. > :00:08.Hey, everyone, I'm Martin with your Saturday lunchtime Newsround. Coming
:00:09. > :00:12.up... The Voice coach Ricky Wilson answers
:00:13. > :00:16.your questions. And how to replace Sir Bruce? You've been telling us
:00:17. > :00:22.who you think should be the new Strictly presenter.
:00:23. > :00:26.First, it's a historic day in Afghanistan where people are voting
:00:27. > :00:30.for a new president. It's the first time a transfer of power is being
:00:31. > :00:32.decided by an election there. There's really tight security, with
:00:33. > :00:38.400,000 police officers and soldiers on duty. The Taliban, a group who
:00:39. > :00:42.were overthrown from power over a decade ago, have said they'll try to
:00:43. > :00:51.disrupt the vote. And for many women there, this is the first time
:00:52. > :00:55.they'll be able to have their say. We have coming to the polling
:00:56. > :01:01.station and this is where the voting happens. Men and women vote
:01:02. > :01:04.separately. For many when it is the first time they have been able to
:01:05. > :01:11.abort. They come in to get their identity checked and then their
:01:12. > :01:17.finger is get in indelible ink. They then get a ballot paper and they
:01:18. > :01:24.have eight people to choose from to become the new president. They then
:01:25. > :01:32.going to one of these births. -- one of these boosted make their boat.
:01:33. > :01:39.This is the first time they are transcending power from one leader
:01:40. > :01:45.to another leader democratically. There is an enormous sense of
:01:46. > :01:50.resilience here. People here at extremely proud to have cast their
:01:51. > :01:54.vote. If you want to know more about what life is like in Afghanistan, a
:01:55. > :01:57.reminder that earlier this year Nel travelled back to where she was
:01:58. > :02:01.born, for a Newsround Special. The kids living there told her what they
:02:02. > :02:04.think the future holds for their home. You can watch the full
:02:05. > :02:07.programme on the Newsround website. Back here, one of the world's most
:02:08. > :02:10.famous horse races, the Grand National, takes place later today.
:02:11. > :02:14.Up to 40 racehorses will be competing along the tough
:02:15. > :02:19.four-and-a-half mile course. There are 30 fences to jump over. It's
:02:20. > :02:21.been criticised in the past for being too dangerous, after some
:02:22. > :02:24.horses died. But officials are hoping recent safety changes will
:02:25. > :02:28.help ensure all runners and riders finish safely, as they did last
:02:29. > :02:32.year. Sport now, and in the next hour,
:02:33. > :02:34.Steph Houghton will captain England's women as they kick off
:02:35. > :02:39.their 2015 Football World Cup qualifying campaign against
:02:40. > :02:42.Montenegro. It'll be their first competitive match under new manager
:02:43. > :02:51.Mark Sampson. Here's what some of the players think of their new boss.
:02:52. > :02:58.It is exciting. Mark has brought new ideas. He has brought a lot of
:02:59. > :03:05.energy as well. The girls are being really positive and dying in two
:03:06. > :03:09.things he is saying. To be honest, I really like him and his energy. I
:03:10. > :03:12.have got a new lease of life. Next, who should replace Sir Bruce Forsyth
:03:13. > :03:15.as presenter of Strictly Come Dancing? That's the question on many
:03:16. > :03:19.dance fans' lips today. Graham Norton has emerged as the favourite
:03:20. > :03:23.to fill his shoes. Brucie's led the hit show for ten years but announced
:03:24. > :03:27.yesterday that it's the right time to step down from doing the live
:03:28. > :03:31.shows. He will still work on special pre-recorded Strictlys, over
:03:32. > :03:33.Christmas time. Well, it's fair to say that lots of you think Sir Bruce
:03:34. > :03:57.is going to be very hard to replace. Brilliant idea, he gets my vote too!
:03:58. > :04:01.Sticking with Saturday night shows - the final of The Voice is tonight
:04:02. > :04:03.and mentor Ricky Wilson will hope his contestant Christina-Marie
:04:04. > :04:07.Wickens takes home the top prize. But Ricky's maybe best known as the
:04:08. > :04:11.lead singer of the band Kaiser Chiefs and we caught up with him and
:04:12. > :04:28.band mate Simon to answer your questions.
:04:29. > :04:36.I think nerves are a good thing to have. You have got to understand
:04:37. > :04:40.that once you are on this stage they will disappear and you will start to
:04:41. > :04:54.enjoy it. You can only learn that by doing something. There is a football
:04:55. > :05:00.team in South Africa called that. We thought it was a cool name. We sort
:05:01. > :05:10.of nicked it. It was the first band 's name that none of us heated! I
:05:11. > :05:23.love it. I want the person with their best voices to win it. When I
:05:24. > :05:27.turned around it was the first time I had turned round in the chair on
:05:28. > :05:35.this show. They don't give you any warning, they just put you in the
:05:36. > :05:41.chair and someone starts singing. It is important to always keep getting
:05:42. > :05:48.new goals. When we first started it was to do a gig. Then a bigger gig.
:05:49. > :05:53.It is always important to set a new goal. There are lots of things we
:05:54. > :05:55.would still like to do. That's all from me, Newsround's back at two
:05:56. > :06:00.o'clock. See you then.
