:00:00. > :00:08.Hello, everyone. Leah here with your Bank Holiday headlines - on today's

:00:09. > :00:11.show... Why some people are worried that

:00:12. > :00:14.Brazil's World Cup might be too hot to handle.

:00:15. > :00:16.And something to cheer up your Monday afternoon - seriously cute

:00:17. > :00:20.tiger cubs! This is Newsround. But first, the world of tennis has

:00:21. > :00:23.been paying tribute to the former British number one, Elena Baltacha,

:00:24. > :00:43.who has died of liver cancer, aged 30. I've been looking at why she was

:00:44. > :00:53.so important to the women's game. Known to her friends and team-mates

:00:54. > :00:57.as Bally, she was known as a fighter on and off the court. Enter thousand

:00:58. > :01:04.and two she became one of their brightest stars of British tennis

:01:05. > :01:11.but a year later she was diagnosed with a serious liver condition. She

:01:12. > :01:16.became an invitation for the likes of Heather Watson and Laura Robson.

:01:17. > :01:23.As an athlete, she will be remembered as a fighter. You could

:01:24. > :01:32.see her on the court fist pumping every point. She wore her heart on

:01:33. > :01:48.her sleeve. The world of tennis has been paying tribute today.

:01:49. > :01:55.Elena Baltacha completed a lifetime ambition by playing in their Olympic

:01:56. > :02:00.Games but she was forced to retire last year at the age of 30. She will

:02:01. > :02:05.be remembered for her courage and fighting spirit right up until the

:02:06. > :02:09.end. Next month all eyes will turn to

:02:10. > :02:12.Brazil when the best footballers on the planet do battle in the World

:02:13. > :02:16.Cup. But the hot South American climate - combined with the the

:02:17. > :02:25.timing of some kick-offs - could be a problem. Ayshah has the story. The

:02:26. > :02:34.World Cup is the biggest sporting event on the planet and this summer

:02:35. > :02:45.it is Brazil's town to host that. Matches are being played at 12

:02:46. > :02:48.stadiums across the country. Brazil has eight hotter climate than us and

:02:49. > :02:53.in the north and west of the country it is particularly hot and humid.

:02:54. > :03:00.Temperatures are regularly above 30 degrees. With some matches due to

:03:01. > :03:04.kick off in the hottest part of the day some people are concerned it

:03:05. > :03:08.will be too much for the players. Football matches are not usually

:03:09. > :03:13.played at those times in those areas. So why are matches being

:03:14. > :03:17.played so early? The most imported TV audience is in Europe so there

:03:18. > :03:25.will be three separate kick-off times. All will be convenient for

:03:26. > :03:31.the European audience. The only way to do that is to start early. You

:03:32. > :03:39.would never have a big local game kicking off at this time here, it is

:03:40. > :03:46.just too hot. The coaches already I talked to say it is not humane.

:03:47. > :03:55.Players will be allowed to drink more water but even so, it will be

:03:56. > :03:58.very hot. It looks like teams will just have to suffer the pressure of

:03:59. > :04:01.heat during the tour on it. Next, to plans to make the six-week

:04:02. > :04:04.summer school holiday shorter. Head-teachers at schools in England

:04:05. > :04:07.are considering spreading the long summer break more evenly through the

:04:08. > :04:10.year. They say a shorter summer break could stop teachers getting

:04:11. > :04:13.too tired and could help families struggling with expensive summer

:04:14. > :04:23.holiday prices. So what do you reckon? They should keep that this

:04:24. > :04:29.same thing because it gives you more flexibility to go on holiday. I like

:04:30. > :04:38.spending time on holiday. School holidays are too long because you

:04:39. > :04:41.get bored. It is better to get lots of smaller holidays so you don't

:04:42. > :04:44.forget everything and you can be with your friends will stop Last up,

:04:45. > :04:48.to some seriously cute cubs! These are very rare white Bengal

:04:49. > :04:51.tiger cubs, born in a zoo in Ukraine. There are three boys and

:04:52. > :04:55.one girl, and their keepers at the zoo say they're very happy because

:04:56. > :04:59.seeing four healthy cubs born is pretty unusual. Super cute.

:05:00. > :05:02.I'm back at ten to seven, see you then. Bye!
