:00:46. > :00:54.Next, meet Valkyrie, a brand new robot that space

:00:55. > :00:57.organisation NASA want to turn into an astronaut.

:00:58. > :01:00.It's hoped the robot could go on missions that are too

:01:01. > :01:11.The BBC's Victoria Gill's been to see it in action.

:01:21. > :01:26.six foot human like robot which is designed to work in disaster zones

:01:27. > :01:29.and go into space. Programmers here in Edinburgh are going to push the

:01:30. > :01:41.boundaries of how humans and robots work together. This is an exciting

:01:42. > :01:49.and very complex piece of machinery. You need to make it do the things we

:01:50. > :01:53.take for granted. Walking, balancing, it comes to us naturally.

:01:54. > :02:02.Getting a robot to do that takes a lot of effort. With more than 2

:02:03. > :02:08.million US dollars with 44 movable joints, scanning lasers and cameras

:02:09. > :02:12.for vision, this is the most advanced humanoid robot. The team is

:02:13. > :02:22.training the robot to work alongside human astronauts. Robots in space is

:02:23. > :02:29.not a new thing. There is a robot on the space station. It has not yet

:02:30. > :02:33.done and in space walks outside. Our robot is taking that to the next

:02:34. > :02:35.generation, possibly working on the surface of Mars.

:02:36. > :02:38.Football now, and a disappointed Manchester City lost out on a place

:02:39. > :02:41.in the Champions League finals, after losing in Madrid last night.

:02:42. > :02:43.Winners Real Madrid will now face their local rivals

:02:44. > :02:48.Tonight it's Liverpool's turn to try for a place in a European final.

:02:49. > :02:52.They face Villareal tonight in the Europa League semifinal.

:02:53. > :02:55.But they'll have to come back from a 1-0 defeat from

:02:56. > :03:03.More than 500 servicemen and women are getting ready to compete

:03:04. > :03:06.in the Invictus Games which start this weekend in Florida.

:03:07. > :03:11.A team of 110 people are competing for the UK,

:03:12. > :03:15.including former guardsman Lamin who was injured whilst

:03:16. > :03:20.He's competing in sitting volleyball and archery and is taking

:03:21. > :03:22.his children along with him to the games.

:03:23. > :03:25.Ricky has been to meet 12-year-old Musa to ask what he thinks

:03:26. > :03:37.The Invictus Games already has the royal seal of approval.

:03:38. > :03:41.Even the US President, Barack Obama, is ready for action.

:03:42. > :03:49.The games begin on the 8th of May in Orlando in America,

:03:50. > :03:52.and will see injured servicemen and women from all over the world go

:03:53. > :04:00.head-to-head in a whole host of different sports.

:04:01. > :04:07.Prince Harry came up with the idea of the games two years ago.

:04:08. > :04:10.12-year-old Musa's dad is taking part.

:04:11. > :04:14.Lamin lost both his legs and an arm during the war in Afghanistan.

:04:15. > :04:16.When we were just sitting down and watching football,

:04:17. > :04:19.he came in with his wheelchair running fast, and then he said,

:04:20. > :04:22.I'm going to be in the Invictus Games!

:04:23. > :04:27.How difficult is it for your dad to get around every day?

:04:28. > :04:30.Life is hard for him because, you know, he doesn't get to do most

:04:31. > :04:32.things that a father would do

:04:33. > :04:41.He should be helping the children and the wife,

:04:42. > :04:50.Why do you think the Invictus Games are so important?

:04:51. > :04:53.It's important so we can help the wounded and the hurt to know

:04:54. > :04:56.that they have a meaning in this world, not just that they are hurt

:05:05. > :05:10.In the morning, I wake him up so we can go to the gym and train.
