0:00:04 > 0:00:05Good morning Newsrounders, you're with me, Hayley,

0:00:05 > 0:00:10this morning, and this is what I've got to start off your day.

0:00:10 > 0:00:13The dogs helping to grow a forest.

0:00:13 > 0:00:19And the United states celebrates it's independence day in style.

0:00:27 > 0:00:30First up, it's a big day for the Brits at Wimbledon today

0:00:30 > 0:00:34and Andy Murray will be back in action later - but what does it

0:00:34 > 0:00:36take to make a Wimbledon champion twice over?

0:00:36 > 0:00:42Some of you guys have been finding out.

0:00:42 > 0:00:45We are the mini Murrays!

0:00:45 > 0:00:47I'm Andy, nice to meet you.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49Shall we hit a few balls together?

0:00:49 > 0:00:53Wow!

0:00:53 > 0:00:56That was bigger than me.

0:00:56 > 0:00:58What is the best moment of your life so far?

0:00:58 > 0:01:00Best moment of my life would be

0:01:00 > 0:01:01when my daughter was born.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04It ended up being a good year on the court, but yeah,

0:01:04 > 0:01:08it was a better one off it for sure.

0:01:08 > 0:01:11Who inspired you to play tennis, and what would your advice be

0:01:11 > 0:01:13if someone wanted to be a tennis player

0:01:13 > 0:01:16just like you?

0:01:16 > 0:01:18I'd say my mum inspired me, and my brother,

0:01:18 > 0:01:20to play tennis.

0:01:20 > 0:01:23She used to play when she was younger and she really

0:01:23 > 0:01:26coached me and my brother until we were like nine or ten years old.

0:01:26 > 0:01:29Best piece of advice I could give to anyone

0:01:29 > 0:01:33wanting to play tennis would be

0:01:33 > 0:01:35to have fun when you are a kid, enjoy playing,

0:01:35 > 0:01:38and to listen to your coach.

0:01:38 > 0:01:39There we go, that's excellent!

0:01:39 > 0:01:43Whose cooking do you prefer?

0:01:43 > 0:01:45Your Gran's, Mum's or wife's?

0:01:45 > 0:01:47PS, I have tasted your Gran's cooking at the Dunblane tennis

0:01:47 > 0:01:49courts, and it is delicious.

0:01:49 > 0:01:52HE LAUGHS Lucky you!

0:01:52 > 0:01:53That's a really tough question.

0:01:53 > 0:01:59My Gran has got a lot of experience getting so I would

0:01:59 > 0:02:03say it'd just, JUST be her, but my wife is also a good, good cook.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05It isn't my mum, she would definitely be

0:02:05 > 0:02:10third on the list.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13As well as Andy Murray, there are lots of Brits in action

0:02:13 > 0:02:14today at Wimbledon.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16They include include British women's number one, Johanna Konta,

0:02:16 > 0:02:17as well as Heather Watson.

0:02:17 > 0:02:20Also playing are Aljaz Bedene and Kyle Edmund who'll be

0:02:20 > 0:02:24trying his best today in the men's double.

0:02:24 > 0:02:28To football now and Scottish side Rangers had a pretty embarrassing

0:02:28 > 0:02:31defeat in their Europa League qualifier last night.

0:02:31 > 0:02:35They lost 2-0 to Luxembourg's Progres Niederkorn,

0:02:35 > 0:02:38they're a team that had never won a match in European competition

0:02:38 > 0:02:43before and had only managed one goal in their 13 previous games -

0:02:43 > 0:02:46so not great for Rangers!

0:02:46 > 0:02:49Next, to Chile in South America, where forest fires devastated

0:02:49 > 0:02:51the land last year.

0:02:51 > 0:02:54Well, people there have come up with a new way

0:02:54 > 0:02:59to replant the forest, and it sounds barking mad.

0:02:59 > 0:03:02There aren't many dogs who'd say no to a nice long run through the

0:03:02 > 0:03:06forest but these guys aren't doing this for fun, oh no!

0:03:06 > 0:03:08They're actually happening to plant the

0:03:08 > 0:03:10trees and flowers.

0:03:10 > 0:03:12Forest fires ripped through parts of central

0:03:12 > 0:03:15Chile last year, burning down trees and scorching the land.

0:03:15 > 0:03:17But since March, these border collies,

0:03:17 > 0:03:23called Summer, Olivia and Daz, had been helping it to recover.

0:03:23 > 0:03:24So how does it work?

0:03:24 > 0:03:27Well, the dogs wear a special satchel on their collar,

0:03:27 > 0:03:30filled with seeds.

0:03:30 > 0:03:33When they run, the seeds get spread across the land.

0:03:33 > 0:03:37TRANSLATION: We could do it ourselves, but we can't do as much.

0:03:37 > 0:03:42We can walk around three kilometres per day but not much more.

0:03:42 > 0:03:44The dogs, however, can travel 30 or 40 kilometres

0:03:44 > 0:03:46in one outing!

0:03:46 > 0:03:53The first signs of life are returning to the forest,

0:03:53 > 0:03:56and people there are hoping that in a few years it will have

0:03:56 > 0:03:57completely recovered.

0:03:57 > 0:04:02Guys, you've done a paw-some job!

0:04:02 > 0:04:05Say hello to the very latest space robot.

0:04:05 > 0:04:10It's hoping to find out what other planets are made of.

0:04:10 > 0:04:16But instead of being tested in space, this robot is learning

0:04:16 > 0:04:23on the side of a volcano - Mount Etna - in Italy.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26And from one kind of space adventure to...

0:04:26 > 0:04:27erm... another.

0:04:27 > 0:04:31This takeaway has gone where few takeaways have gone before -

0:04:31 > 0:04:33into outer space!

0:04:33 > 0:04:36It's one small step for man, and one giant leap for fried food!

0:04:36 > 0:04:37Ricky's got this.

0:04:37 > 0:04:38Is it a bird?

0:04:38 > 0:04:39Is it a plane?

0:04:39 > 0:04:43Is it a pattie and chips?

0:04:43 > 0:04:45Well, yes.

0:04:45 > 0:04:47History has been made by a chip shop in Hull

0:04:47 > 0:04:50who have sent this lot into space.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53The pattie is made from fried mashed potato and was sent to the

0:04:53 > 0:04:57edge of the Earth's atmosphere, attached to a weather balloon.

0:04:57 > 0:05:01Thankfully, it's now safely back on Earth.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03We wouldn't want that falling out of the sky

0:05:03 > 0:05:07all of a spudden!

0:05:07 > 0:05:09But it's not the first time like this has happened.

0:05:09 > 0:05:11Back in 2016, scientists sent a meat and potato

0:05:11 > 0:05:13pie to space from Wigan in Greater Manchester.

0:05:13 > 0:05:19It might sound silly, but pot-aters's going to hate.

0:05:19 > 0:05:23It was party time in the USA yesterday,

0:05:23 > 0:05:26it was the 4th of July which means it was their Independence day -

0:05:26 > 0:05:29the day all Americans celebrate being their own country

0:05:29 > 0:05:30with their own president.

0:05:30 > 0:05:35Needless to say there were a lot of fireworks!!

0:05:35 > 0:05:37Finally it wasn't just fireworks that Americans

0:05:37 > 0:05:41couldnt get enough of - hot dogs were high on the menu too.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44As defending champion Joey Chestnut won his tenth title by downing

0:05:44 > 0:05:4972 frankfurters in ten minutes!!

0:05:49 > 0:05:51It's all part of the annual hot-dog eating contest

0:05:51 > 0:05:52in Comey Island, New York.

0:05:52 > 0:05:56That's all from me, and if all that food news didn't put

0:05:56 > 0:05:58you off your breakfast - I don't know what will.

0:05:58 > 0:06:00Newsround's back right here this afternoon with Jenny.

0:06:00 > 0:06:03Bye for now.

0:06:12 > 0:06:14Hiya, guys! We've got Little Roy coming up next just for ye.
